    “Al-Shabaab militants on Saturday shot dead the deputy chief of Somalia’s anti-terrorism unit, Mohamed Qanuni, in a drive-by shooting in Mogadishu, police said.

    Al-Shabaab military operation spokesman Abdiaziz Abu Musab claimed that militants blocked Qanuni’s vehicle with their vehicle at Km5 Junction, spraying it with bullets before escaping from the scene.

    “Today, We gunned down the new deputy head of Somalia’s Anti-Terrorism Unit Mohamed Qanuni, along (with) other top official in broad daylight drive-by shooting in Mogadishu our fighters,” Abu Musab said in a statement posted on a pro-Al-Shabaab website and on Radio Al Andalus.

    “This will be the beginning of our attacks in Mogadishu targeting (government) personnel in a revenge of Godane’s murder,” he said, referring to Ahmed Godane, the former Al-Shabaab leader recently killed by a U.S airstrike in south Somalia.

    Somali police Commissioner Gen. Mohamed Hassan Ismail confirmed to CNN that Qanuni and a fellow officer were killed by Al-Shabaab militants while driving in the Km5 area on Saturday around noon.

    Last July, Ibrahim Ahmed Farah, who was Qanuni’s predecessor, was killed in a similar drive-by-shooting in Mogadishu by Al-Shabaab militants.”

Did you hear the poor fool making a big point about how ISIL – we’re back to ISIL, apparently – has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with Islam or religion in any way? Oh, great! The prime minister of Australia tells the world know that he knows absolutely nothing about the situation, but is willing to commit his troops and lie his head off just the same. I can hear the Imams chuckling from here. How can they expect to win a fight when they refuse to even acknowledge who they are fighting or anything about the enemy? Without the truth we cannot possibly win…

    For the record: We are at war with the awesome power of the 14-hundred-year old religion of Islam. If we do not prevail in this war, everything and everybody we’ve ever known, from Socrates to William Shakespeare, will be erased, and it will be as if they never lived at all, leaving nothing but the ignorant hate-filled pages of the Holy Quran and the unbearable sight of Mosques and minarets and burkas everywhere. This is the literal truth, Mr. Australian half-wit. Don’t even bother risking your men’s lives when you don’t even know who or what you are sending them to fight.

A conservative, I am very disappointed in Abbott – must be his catholicism that turns him into a dhimmy weasel – NOTHING TO DO WITH A N Y RELIGION!!!!!!!!!! only in so far as Islam is not a religion, but he gets no free pass for being so servile to Obama, grateful for having been asked “to help”, like a little lap dog – after all, this pope (Francis) is also a islamophile. I will not vote for Abbott – but, as there is no alternative – I will not vote at all next time – unless it is Scott Morrison (Australia’s Immigration Minister) who will lead the party, provided he has not gone to water by then either.

    As for the poor Australian soldiers (I dont mean the effeminate hierarchy either), my heart goes out to them – the best, yet also the least prepared (politically/psychologically):

      • That (Geert Wilders) was very disappointing – but a) Bernardi IS a politician who wants to stay “in the fold” and b) I would not like to face the pressures he is receiving from ALL sides, including – and especially his own. And the bloody Media has been intensively busy making a laughing stock of him.

  5. How the hell Cameron, Obama and now Tony Abbott can tell us, with a straight face, that this has nothing to do with religion and particularly Islam is beyond parody.

    Do they really think we are so gullible we will accept what they say? The day is surely coming when the western people will make it abundantly clear to them that we won’t take their lies any longer and we want action or else!

    • Maybe it’s going to be like Egypt and require tens-of-millions of people to take to the streets and refuse to take, “no”, for an answer. Our leaders simply can’t work up the nerve to admit that we are at war with the religion of Islam. Even our Muslim “friends” only differ from the extremists in their choice of tactics, not in their desire to see Islam dominate the world. In other words, ISIS wants to cut off our heads while the moderate Muslims only want to give us a nice soft slow-acting lethal injection. Either way, it’s them or us, plain and simple.

    “A hospital in the Iraqi city of Falluja, mainly controlled by Islamic State (IS) fighters, has been hit by government shelling, reports say.

    It comes a day after PM Haider al-Abadi ordered the Iraqi army to stop shelling civilian areas in towns seized by IS.

    A member of staff was seriously injured in the shelling, medical officials at the hospital have told the BBC.

    Many residents of Falluja and Ramadi have said they are more at risk from army air raids than from the jihadists….”

    “Britain will take “whatever steps are necessary” to keep the country safe, following the killing of hostage David Haines by Islamic State militants, the prime minister has said.

    David Cameron said the UK would “hunt down” the killers of the aid worker, whom he called a “British hero”.

    He said Britain had to confront and “ultimately destroy” the “menace” of IS in a “calm, deliberate” way.

    Meanwhile, a second Briton being held has been named as Alan Henning, 47….”

  10. AUSTRALIA – Sydney in the firing line of Islamic State fanatics: Police escalate search for five rocket launchers

    POLICE have significantly ­escalated their search for five rocket launchers believed to be buried in Sydney bushland by a terror cell linked to Islamic State savages Khaled Sharrouf and Mohamed Elomar.

    NSW and federal police have ramped up their search for the lethal rocket launchers, following the government’s decision to raise the national terror alert level to “high” and ahead of the November G20 meeting in Brisbane.

    Approximately 20 IS and Jabhat Al-Nusra fighters have returned to Australia and remain under surveillance by security agencies. ASIO has also recommended a total of 50 passports be ­cancelled this year.

        • No they aren’t, what worries me is the way we see calls for people to treat the Moslems the way they treat us, rape the women behead the men, desecrate the corpses.
