Dozens of Christians arrested at a prayer meeting in Saudi Arabia need America’s help, according to a key lawmaker who is pressing the State Department on their behalf.

Some 28 people were rounded up Friday by hard-line Islamists from the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the home of an Indian national in the eastern Saudi city of Khafji, and their current situation is unknown, according to human rights advocates.

5. Islamic centre raided: Police search Logan centre linked to Syria conflict

Two men are in custody after federal police today raided a Queensland Islamic centre linked to the conflict in Syria.

Australian Federal Police officers searched the iQraa Islamic centre and bookstore in Logan, south of Brisbane. Federal police have also raided a gym in Logan.

It is believed two people are being questioned by the AFP.

One of the centre’s founders is believed to be the brother of Abu Asma al Australi, who is suspected of being the first Australian suicide bomber to die in Syria.

I didn’t get to post much but hopefully the fruits of my labors of today, and over the past 5 weeks actually, will be worth the effort when I post them in a day or so.

    This is probably the most important piece of news to come out of the Middle East in our lifetimes. “Solving” the so-called, “Middle East Crisis”, has always been simply a matter of the Egyptians deciding to let it happen, and apparently the wise and good Mr. Sisi is now willing to do just that by giving the end of the Sinai to the “Palestinians” as a new “homeland”.

    Mr. Abbas and his Hamas buddies turned the Egyptians down, of course, but the offer has been made and the “Palestinians” have yet to give their response. Go to Google Earth and see what a gorgeous scene out of Lawrence of Arabia the land in question is. If the so-called, “Palestinians”, should be wise enough to take the Egyptians up on their unbelievably kind offer, they will be in possession of a very, very nice little tourist-destination country. They will all have beachfront property and a clear road to prosperity, as well as Billions in aid money to help them on their way…

    I wonder if the American People realize what an enormous mistake their president has made by choosing to be the enemy of Mr. Sisi and the Egyptian People, as he cosies up to Turkey and Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood instead? For these errors alone, Obama should be remembered as a fool, at least…

    • Those of us who are paying attention know what a mistake Obama is, unfortunately way too many are still getting their news from the LSM and have no idea just hhe ow much trouble he has caused.

        • I’d love to see the look on John Kerry’s elite face when he sees that those inferior non-elite Egyptians may just have solved the Palestinian problem… Hee hee hee…

      • The fear of being forced into the Caliphate as slaves to Allah is scaring a lot of people in the Mideast, the question is are enough people being scared in the Mideast and in the West to create the alliance needed to defeat the Islamists? I am happy about the new alliances but fear that we have allowed the Caliphate to gain enough power that it will take a very long time to defeat them.

        • I don’t know the answer to your question, Richard, but I do know that recent events prove that the vast majority of Egyptians do not want to be ruled by a religious dictatorship, and that’s a fact. Nobody knows for sure, but it may well be that a great many more Muslims than we imagine are opposed to a return to 7th century Bedouin principals… I guess we’ll see very, very soon…

          I can’t help thinking that forcing hundreds-of-millions of teenagers to throw away their I-phones and return to the 7th century is going to be a very hard sell. I think the Jihadis are about to get their butts handed to them…
