4. ‘Capture’ of Chinese national fighting with ISIS gives China jitters
(Video at site)
Beijing (CNN) (CNN) — “URGENT,” read the Iraqi News headline of its September 3 posting. “First Chinese ISIS fighter captured in Iraq says Ministry of Defense.”
The Iraqi Army has captured an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria fighter from China, the Baghdad-datelined report said. Two pictures accompanied the report: one showed the captured militant in fatigue pants and a bloodied shirt, lying on the ground; another showed him escorted by an Iraqi soldier, his face seemingly swollen.
If true, he would be the first Chinese national to have been caught fighting with ISIS militants.
Thanks all who sent in these stories. More to come.
Re; # 4 China will give this situation it’s utmost attention, as opposed to the almost denial of the Islamist threat by the USA and countries in Europe.
#2 Some of the training looks like it came from US training programs but others is weird although I wish the Sergeants had let me cheat on the pushups like those guys got to.
#4 China is going to start finding out how many more Chinese are fighting with ISIS.
1/ Beck says he worries about “vigilantes” if authorities are perceived inadequate. Reminds me of your radio program, Eeyore. Maybe vigilantes will get the authorities on the stick. “Justice”? Not much use so far. How many little girls would’ve been spared if the parents had gotten together and taken some of these wretches down?

Sep 9 2014 – Syrian airstrikes on IS militants kill dozens in Raqqa
Syria launched a series of airstrikes targeting a stronghold of the Islamic State extremist group on Saturday, killing at least 25 people, most of whom died when one of the missiles slammed into a crowded bakery, activists said.
The eight airstrikes smashed parts of buildings, set cars alight and crushed people under rubble in the northeastern city of Raqqa, which is ruled by the extremist group, according to video of the aftermath uploaded to social media networks.
At least 16 civilians were killed, alongside nine Islamic State fighters, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Most of the civilians were killed after at least one strike hit a bakery on a busy street, and the death toll was likely to rise, said the Observatory, which obtains its information from a network of activists on the ground.
The airstrikes were also reported by a Moscow-based activist who uses the name Abu Ibrahim and is a member of a media collective called “Raqqa is being silently slaughtered.” Another group, the Raqqa Media Center, uploaded video of the aftermath which appeared to be genuine and was consistent with AP reporting of the event.
Activist Abu Ibrahim said the local morgue was packed with charred bodies, making identification difficult. He said the dead included at least eight members of one family.
Other strikes hit a government finance building that the Islamic State used as its headquarters and another building used as a jail, Abu Ibrahim said.
It has been virtually impossible for journalists to visit Raqqa, a city of some 500,000 people on the banks of the Euphrates river, since the town fell to the Islamic State group earlier this year. The group routinely abducts reporters and recently beheaded two American journalists in response to U.S. airstrikes against the militants in Iraq.

Are these our guys dropping bombs on IS at the bakery?
well…no, they say it is Assad’s airforce
That’s a relief, I guess…
Syrian Army Advances in Damascus Countryside
[…]The Syrian army also advanced in Jobar neighborhood, killing large numbers of militants inside the tunnels that were destroyed in the military operation, according to an informed source.
Militants’ concentration centers in Jobar, Jissrin, and Ein Tarma in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside were targeted and large numbers of militants were killed.
The army made advances in many areas in Jobar and destroyed a number of militants’ hideouts, killing a number of them, including Nayef al-Qahtani from Saudi Arabia and Mohammad al-Shibl from Libya.
In Damascus’ Southwestern countryside, the army destroyed militants’ concentration centers and hideouts in Khan al-Sheeh and killed many of them.
The government troops also inflicted heavy losses upon the militants in al-Qalamoun mountains in a series of operation along the Syrian-Lebanese borders.

LEBANON – ‘My son’s been slaughtered’: Mother’s agony as she learns of Lebanese soldier son’s beheading by IS militants on Twitter after he tried to escape captivity
– Abbas Medlej is the second Lebanese soldier to be beheaded by IS
– The 20-year-old was kidnapped last month when militants stormed border town
– Mother learned of murder from photographs believed to be of young soldier on Twitter
The Shiite Muslim was being held by the group of Sunni militants when he attempted to escape by pretending to go to the bathroom.
Today his uncle confirmed the images were of the young soldier, threatening: ‘Every Syrian in Lebanon is a target’.
The young man’s mother reiterated his vow, warning: ‘We have to take our revenge from those apostates’.
The Syrian conflict has inflamed tensions between Sunni and Shiite Muslims, with the latter thought to be in support of President Bashar Assad’s regime.
His death comes after that of Sgt Ali al-Sayyed whose death has been protested by mourners this week.
Sayyed, a Sunni Muslim, went missing alongside Medlej last month. It is thought there are also Christian hostages among them.

ISIS Announcement: We’ve Intercepted US & Obama’s Plan to Battle ISIS
[…]What is concerning is that the plans were leaked to the terror group through Saudi intelligence. Thus, ISIS just admitted they have sources inside the Kingdom’s intelligence apparatus.
Here is the translated and leaked document.
Translation of Brother @mujtahidd tweets who get leaked information from the Saudi Intelligence
The USA asked all regional states for air, ground, logistic and intelligence support and thus ended with the following:
Turkey fully rejected any Land, Air and logistic support and will not allow the US to use their bases except what is written in the agreement with NATO like e.i. intelligence coordination etc.
Jordan’s will support with intelligence cooperation and logistical, open air space, cooperation with Special Forces only without the participation of regular ground troops
Saudi Arabia will offer intelligence cooperation (and tribal = Sahwat) and logistical, open airspace, their bases, ports and an unlimited budget to support the war. The US did not ask KSA for ground support with troops
Participation of all Gulf states, but Kuwait, the UAE and Bahrain are more enthusiastic than Qatar and Oman
All European countries and the rest of the allies in NATO refrained from ground intervention but will offer special operation missions, but they are limited to only help in aerial bombardment
The ground support will be with Iran ,the Iraqi Shia army, the Nationalist Kurds, SAA, the Awakning councils (Sahwat) and FSA
In Iraq, the Iraqi Shia army contributes 60% Iran 35% of the Peshmerga 5%, while in Syria the Syrian army and Hezbollah with 75% and 25% sahwat (FSA & Co)
The allegations about the lack of coordination between USA & Iran are false. It’s true that the coordination between Iran & US is indirect but there are real detailed coordination through ISF & Peshmerga
The US coordination with the Syrian regime was confirmed by Saudi sources and it exists and the mediator between them is UAE intelligence
