Speaking anecdotally, it appears that many media outlets are begging to take a more reality based approach to the facts of the world today, and more frequently. But if you listen to Lowell’s show his central question today concerned the use of the word, ‘Militant’ instead of terrorist for what is obviously a terrorist.
Interestingly, the same news agencies will often refer to groups who oppose islamic manifest destiny as terrorists even if all they do is chant or hand out fliers or sing a Nationalist song like the French National Anthem. Seriously.
The likely answer to his question is offered by the last caller to his show today. David Harris of INSIGNIS also called in to straighten the record on one imam in Calgary who is trying to distance Islam from the Islamic State.

So we’re all able to follow along when IS tells us, “These are our provisional borders, within which we enforce the law and defend against foreign incursions.” Ok, no trespassing without back-up by an army.
But there’s the second set of maps that’s irresistible. By declaring themselves The Caliphate, they’re broadcasting irredentist intentions. Only the Sunna delimits sovereign territory for the ummah!
And that’s everywhere any Muslim has managed to put down his rug and lift up his bottom. Calls it a mosque and it’s marked as Muslim territory. Forever.
