Islam finally makes the case for itself. Links post 1 for Aug. 10 2014

Just to be clear, what I mean by the title is in the past few weeks, the official speeches of muslim leaders and well publicized actions of islamic group, even, to a degree, in the usually supportive MS media, has started to make it clear to the average person what Islam actually believes. Actually stating their desire to fight ‘unbelief’ and force all people under sharia etc. Taqyyia drops away like leaves from a Maple in the fall.

This is an interesting development and will have implication to blogs like this. However even if we no longer appear necessary, we should remember the lesson that the media simply cannot be trusted and there has to be independent voices that tell the truth about things not in line with the agenda of the powerful. If the MSM swings around to dealing with the truth and even assists with the recovery of classically liberal values, it is still subject to subversion, cultural diversion and hijacking by agencies that control its value though denial of access to airwaves and so on. There always has to be alternative voices.

1. China Says 18 Surrender After Xinjiang Violence

Authorities say a terrorist gang attacked a police station and government buildings in Shache county near Kashgar on July 28, killing 37 people before police shot dead 59 of the attackers.

Xinjiang has experienced rising unrest in recent months blamed on militants from the region’s native Muslim Turkic Uighur ethnic group who are seeking to overthrow Chinese rule. Of the 37 civilians who were killed, 35 were Han Chinese and two were Uighur, according to the official Xinhua News Agency. It has not released any details about the attackers.

2. Radical Chicago Progressive Activists March In Support Of ISIS!

Progressives4ISIS

Radical Progressive activists rallied in Chicago on Friday in support of ISIS, and against Obama administration attempts to stem the tide of genocide in Iraq.

The leftists came out to counter protest against Christians who were out in the street to voice their support for those being slaughtered by muslims in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and everywhere muslims are perpetrating their murderous global pogrom.

The organizers believe the public is being fed“humanitarian lies” in order to justify involvement in Iraq.

Chicago Tribune reported:

3. BECOME MUSLIMS BY NOON OR WE KILL YOU’: Amidst American Bombs, Iraqi Towns Are Still Falling Into Jihadists’ Hands

When the terrified residents looked out of their windows, they saw that Kosho, their traditional walled village in the mountains of northern Iraq, had been surrounded by jihadists. More than 200 bearded militants had besieged the village.

Then their leader – a local man from Mosul rather than the foreigners who make up more than a third of the ranks of the group now known as Islamic State – offered them a chance to save their lives.

‘He told us that either we become Muslims or they would kill us all,’ said Falah, mayor of the village made up mainly of members of the ancient Yazidi sect. ‘We offered money but they would not accept it.’

The deadline the people of Kosho have to meet is midday today. Since the residents refuse to betray their faith, it is feared an entire village of about 2,500 innocent people might be slaughtered in cold blood.

4. Anglican Vicar of Baghdad: “Child I baptised cut in half by ISIS”

The five-year-old son of a founding member of Baghdad’s Anglican church was cut in half during an attack by the Islamic State1 on the Christian town of Qaraqosh.

In an interview today, an emotional Canon Andrew White told ACNS that he christened the boy several years ago, and that the child’s parents had named the lad Andrew after him.

“I’m almost in tears because I’ve just had somebody in my room whose little child was cut in half,” he said. “I baptised his child in my church in Baghdad2. This little boy, they named him after me – he was called Andrew.”

5. Islamic State jihadists issue 30-minute killing spree on video

Video depicting the slaughter of hundreds by Isis jihadists released as a warning to its enemies that they face a horrific death

Across the broad swath of territory it controls from northern Syria through northern and western Iraq, the extremist group known as the Islamic State has proven to be highly organized governors. Al-Qaeda linked terrorists that control swathes of Iraq and Syria have circulated a video compilation of hundreds of graphic executions to mark the Muslim religious festival of Eid.

Accompanied by an explicit threat to Iraqi soldiers , the group formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (Isis), showed dozens of young men men cowering in the shadow of gunmen before being brutally slaughtered.

6. And now for something, completely different:

Shocking moment an owl is interrogated by superstitious Mexican villagers after they set it on fire ‘for being a witch’

Thank you Tundra T., Maria J., and many more. Its early yet. But I have to say that this may be the most horrific series of stories in one post in the history of this blog. It may be worth it for people to take a couple of the most horrific headlines and post the links to all your social media and all your email contacts. I think the public has become more receptive to the truth about Islam than they were a year ago and it may be worth the reduced risk to us to start to inform people more forwardly.

Please think about it.

  1. I’m not so sure. I’m still seeing and hearing the “small number of extremists, nothing to do with Islam” schtick. Yesterday I was listening to London’s biggest talk radio station, and the presenter was saying “well, they claim to be muslims, but our muslim caller there just explained how they can’t possibly be. They’re just criminal thugs, nothing more, nothing to do with religion at all”.

How on earth can these people think like this? It just beggars belief…

    • They live in a fantasy world the left created, reality will have to start killing people in front of them before they accept it is real.

  2. The photograph of the poor woman having her throat cut and the blood being collected in a bowl, reminded me of what Sister Hatune said in a talk which I think I saw on here or at GoV. That the blood of Christian Martyrs sells for thousands of dollars, for tiny quantities, in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States. When you see something as wicked as that, you realize what a terrible plague on the earth Islam is.

  4. IRAQ – Sunday Aug 10 2014 –US Evacuates Some Consulate Staff From Iraqi City of Erbil

Washington: The United States has evacuated some of its staff members from the Iraqi Kurdish city of Arbil, the State Department said Sunday, amid an offensive by Islamist militants.

The notice announcing “the departure of some staff from the consulate general in Arbil” came in the latest State Department travel warning for Iraq, dated just two days after a previous one.

The travel warning said the evacuation involved “a limited number of staff members” and that they had been relocated “to the consulate general in Basra (southern Iraq) and the Iraq Support Unit in Amman,” in Jordan.

Some staff members from the US embassy in Baghdad have also been relocated to Basra and Amman, but that process had started last month.

The United States on Friday began a campaign of air strikes aimed at halting the advance of Sunni militants from the so-called Islamic State, which in recent days had come within striking distance of Arbil, the Kurdish capital.

US President Barack Obama had justified the strikes in part to protect US personnel stationed in Arbil.

    • REUTERS – IRAQ – Special forces loyal to Maliki deployed in key Baghdad areas -police

Special forces loyal to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki were deployed on Sunday night in strategic areas of Baghdad, police said, after he gave a tough speech on television indicating he would not cave in to pressure to drop his bid for a third term.

Several police sources also said the forces had taken up positions at key entrances to the sprawling capital.

      • IRAQ – Massive security deployment around Baghdad ‘green zone’: officials

Baghdad (AFP) – Iraqi police, army and counter-terrorism forces were deployed in unusually high numbers across strategic locations in Baghdad overnight, security sources said Monday.

“There is a huge security presence, police and army, especially around the Green Zone,” the highly-protected district that houses Iraq’s key institutions, a high-ranking police officer told AFP.

He said the deployment started at around 10:30 pm (1930 GMT), just 90 minutes before Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced on state television he would file a complaint against the president for violating the constitution.

“There is security everywhere in Baghdad, these are very unusual measures that look like those we impose for a state of emergency,” the police official said.

“Several streets have been closed… as well as some key bridges,” said an official at the interior ministry. “It’s all linked to the political situation.”

  7. The idiots with their ridiculous placards demanding that no action be taken to stop children being beheaded or cut in half, and women stoned or bled to death, and the crucifixions and executions and slaughter and all the rest of the atrocities by the Islamic State, are just regurgitating what they have been taught. The real-world consequences of the corruption in our Middle Eastern Studies Departments and the humanities in general could hardly be more graphic and sickening and obvious than they are now. Every academic poisoning the minds of his students against the West and making a handsome living from the intellectual swindle of Orientalism and the whitewashing of Islam has blood on his hands. It’s in the faculty lounges that heads should be rolling, not in ditches in Syria and Iraq.
