Hamas states on Saturday that it would continue attacks on Israel, if Palestinian demands it put forward in indirect talks in Cairo were not met.
Sources warned that if Israel did not cooperate with the Egyptian-mediated efforts, the Palestinian delegation would withdraw from Cairo. “If our demands are not met by Sunday, we will attack Tel Aviv,” the Ramallah-based Wattan TV network reported.

My answer used to be, “No. Because if you do that they would simply have replaced him with someone competent and we would have lost the war. Antisemitism is a symptom of the disease rather then the disease itself, during the Diaspora the Jews in Europe were forbidden from engaging in anything besides commercial ventures including banking. The Jews who weren’t astute businessmen failed and starved and the successful Jews became either wealthy or moderately prosperous, both groups are subject to envy and persecution by the self proclaimed elite who end up having to buy and borrow from them. This envy can be seen today as the left looking for more money to spend looks harder at the successful small businessmen and the large corporations they can extort money from.
The disease is power hunger, power requires force and money can buy you the equipment and personal that can supply the force to let you acquire power. In Europe the Jews make convenient targets, in the US conservatives are grouped in with them for hatred and persecution.
I was aghast when a Quaker I know told me of his relatives’ visit with Hitler. They wanted to get the “sense” of the issue, to come to an “understanding” — friendly-like.

I wouldn’t normally comment on anything George has to say, but the utter absurdity of his statement, that Israel was a “completely illegitimate enterprise”, just leaped out at me, because it’s so ridiculously untrue. Israel was created by the United Nations out of land that was liberated from the Turks by the Western Powers in World War I. Why doesn’t that count as “legitimacy” in Galloway’s books? The people who held the deed to Palestine, along with the United Nations, created the Jewish State. What authority would be high enough to lend the degree of legitimacy that George requires? The Romulan Empire, perhaps? The Zerg? How about the Klingons?
As muslims seem to be the Klingons, I suspect that is the only authority they do accept.
