1. Ebola outbreak: Nigeria declares national emergency
Nigeria became the fourth West African country involved in the outbreak when a dual US-Liberian citizen infected with Ebola arrived in Lagos after flying from Liberia via Togo on 20 July.
He died five days later and eight people who came into contact with him were also later diagnosed with Ebola. One of them, a nurse, died on Tuesday.

The evening rally, the largest such protest in Amman in years, saw scores of masked youths dressed in the uniform of Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stage a mock military parade to the cheers of a flag-waving crowd.

That is the way to do it, strike with overwhelming force and crush them quickly, the measured response of the left allows the bad guys to adjust to your attacks and grow stronger. This in turn leads to longer and bloodier wars.

The Left manages to avoid military service altogether. How would they know how to strike?

What you’re supposed to do right now is act like a stereotypical John Wayne American and come to the rescue – six-guns a’blazing, music swelling. Not only would that bring hope to the truly innocent people who face genocide, it would give encouragement to the Iraqi Army while letting the Islamists know that their days are numbered. The world needs America, and frankly, it would do all the good guys a world of good to see it. Forget discretion and “proportionality”. Give us a little show and let’s see what all that fancy, trillion dollar, best-in-the-world military hardware can do before it goes obsolete and has to be decommissioned anyway… Act like an American, you confused Third World Marxist dilettante. .
And the last I heard, the US expedition amounted to two bombs on mortars. Not even on ISIS personnel. That isn’t even a slap on the wrist.
We dropped water & 8000 MREs from the plane, but too far from the ground. The parcels exploded.
What’s 8,000 MREs to 40,000 people, anyway? And 5 people to a water bottle? Temperatures reach 115° F this time of year.
It is physically impossible to feed 40,000 people with palnes that max out at 40,000 lbs of load. That’s the largest place. You have to run planes non-stop day and night with full loads forever.
They have to engage ISIS, or they’re dead.
This is what I was afraid of, Obama making show drops but from too high and with the wrong packaging, the small propaganda drop did nothing but made good headlines in the LSM.
JAG we all know Obama and the left will not do what is necessary, and if public opinion forces them to go in they will do so with a small measured response that will make matters worse. To use the old military axiom, kick their asses, don’t piss on them.
I was under the impression that Obama’s America would always be the side of Muslims and Islam, when push comes to shove.
So America destroyed an artillery unit – 2 maybe. Meanwhile the other arm of America is providing support to the very same Jihadis, when they crossover to Syria.
Obama is acting like a Shiite who wants his religion kept secret, he is attacking but in such a way to do no major damage to ISIS and giving no aid to the victims while acting like he is.

He’s ready to ditch the “American” business once he becomes Caliph.
