KARACHI: Karachi Airport’s old terminal has been attacked by heavily armed assailants on Sunday night, Dawn News reported. Pakistan Army troops have been called in to deal with the situation and troops from Malir Cantonment have been dispatched. According to DawnNews, five Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel have been killed in the attack. A hand grenade attack was carried out on the Isphani Hanger.

Eric Zemmour (a personal favorite of mine, I even have his framed picture on my desk) – author, political commentator on TV and radio, journalist & columnist at Le Figaro (conservative Newspaper), one of the brightest minds in France today, in a weekly TV program “Ça se dispute” where he discusses political themes which made the news of the week with an adversary from the Left, Nicolas Domenach, journalist.
On 6 June they discussed the Muslim who killed 4 people in the Jewish Museum in Belgium.
Incidentally, Eric Zemmour has been charged and found guilty with “Racism” or “Incitement to Racism” a couple of years ago, for having said in one of his TV discussions that the majority of the prison population in France are from the Maghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa. As increasingly the case: Truth is no defence in France. Zemmour is also the subject of anti-semitic attacks, being Jewish.

Turkey’s religious body urges Muslim world to ‘update itself’
The deputy chairman of Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate (Diyanet) has urged Muslim societies to “update themselves” and “engage in self-criticism,” in a message penned to mark the 90th anniversary of the directorate’s establishment.
“The current process that the Islamic world is passing through is heart-rending. The Islamic world, which is passing through a heavy test, has social, economic and administrative problems because it has not taken the necessary precautions to take responsibility,” Deputy Chairman Mehmet Emin Özaf?ar said.
“The Islamic world is paying the price for being late in social, economic, administrative and scientific terms,” Özaf?ar said, adding that it was “mentally in the past but living today, [leading to] the global pressure of the global system.”
He also expressed his opinion that adopting democratic regimes and protecting freedom of expression was one of the most serious dilemmas for Muslim societies, saying “freedom of religion and religious education have not been updated.”
The deputy chairman said other civilizations had also played a role in the Muslim world’s problems, but it was “normal through the course of history for nations and societies to be in competition.”
“It is not true to always find the other side guilty and ignore the Islamic world’s own faults … Today, if we look at all events in our region, we can say that they stem from our own internal dynamics. The main reason behind conflicts in the Islamic world is that Islamic societies have failed to update themselves,” Özaf?ar said.
Concluding his speech, he referred to British sociologist Anthony Giddens, stating that the speed of change was so fast that “new instruments and new approaches” must be sought.
“In order to express the beauties of Islam with those new instruments and approaches, we need to use both the language of the media and the language of art,” Özaf?ar said.

Eeyore has added my notes, probably after you read it. Eric Zemmour is one of very very few voices who they have not managed to destroy. Yet after his remark (of maghrebians/sub-saharians etc. making up the majority in French prisons) he got, as I said successfully sued – it cost him (apart from the money) most of his main, high profile jobs in TV. Plus he gets threatened for his courage and for being Jewish. But they could not quite kill him off, as there are still some people who have recognised what a brilliant mind he is – and he is a brilliant writer too.
The largest Media organisation (State) – left of course, has reduced his daily morning editorial on TV to a little spot in radio at some non-listeneners times, once a week. And in one of the most popular Saturday Evening TV programs (3 hours) where he was the literary critic (he never played his role as the “token” conservative very well, he took no prisoners) they have replaced him with a completely contemptible guy: I tell you why I despise this creep:
They just made a movie about this horrid horrid horrid case where a muslim gang lured a young Jewish man via some arab whore, into a trap. They tortured him for 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS, and finally throw him into the gutter, where he miserably died. They wanted some money because he was “a filthy rich Jewish pig” blablabla. (he came from a very modest background). Anyway, the filmmaker was the interviewee, the interview was about this case (you might know about it? if not I’ll find some links). And this creep, dismissed the calvary of the young Jewish man nearly completely, and started on how the “Jews torture Palesteeeeeeeeenian children” blabla…. to a point where that part was cut out before it went to the public. Fortunately, the Film Maker – who had a fight with this dirtbag – which was also cut out – did not let it rest and gave it the publicity it deserved.
There was hope that this main Media outlet would sack the guy (he is also quite thick, and just a pretty boy – ) but no – he is still there.
Eric Zemmour – for me – is one of – if not THE most brilliant and courageous mind in France – and his books are great – and I have his picture, framed, on my desk. Yes I am a fan of such erudition, of such intelligence etc. (it does not quite come out in this pressurised TV clip above, but you have no idea HOW COURAGEOUS it was for him to say that this most recent “French” Jew killer had nothing French in him). They call him: Fascist, Nazi, Dirty Zionist, Islamophobe …. of course.

Childhood background music was German march- and church-music – so I never quite learned to like American musicals. But whenever I see this attention-floozie pope, my brain switches to “no business like show business”. I could not find a version of the song which didn’t grate on my nerves, so I put Liza Minelli’s legs in focus – as a kind of “consolation price” for the Jews having just been so vulgarly insulted by the Pope. Goldie Hawn was incidental, I dont know much of her, except that whenever I see her (especially the post-collagen version) I think: “voilà a little froggie who has not been kissed well”.

Did the Muslim Imam at the Vatican’s Prayer for Peace pray for “Victory over the Infidels”?
A controversy has erupted in Europe over this. According to Egyptian-German political scientist, historian, and author Hamed Abdel-Samad, who could be described as the Modernist version of a Muslim, the Islamic clergyman who offered the “prayers for peace” in the Vatican on Sunday (our coverage here) did not stick verbatim to the prepared text of the prayers as published beforehand, but instead ended with a quotation from the last verse of Sura 2 in the Koran, which reads, “You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people” (source). The “disbelieving people” can alternatively be rendered “unbelievers” or “infidels.” In any case, what is meant is victory over people who are not Muslim.
