One of the commanders, Noorullah Noori, has plans to return to Afghanistan to resume fighting against the U.S., according to NBC News which spoke to another Taliban commander.

“After arriving in Qatar, Noorullah Noori kept insisting he would go to Afghanistan and fight American forces there,” the commander told NBC News.

    As we reported here last week, President Miloš Zeman of the Czech Republic made a remarkable speech at the a closed-door reception on May 26th to celebrate Israel’s Independence Day. Unique among Western political leaders, Mr. Zeman was willing to call out Islam itself — not “radicalism”, not “extremism”, not “Islamism”, but the “very essence of the ideology” — for its anti-Semitism and instigation of violence.

    It’s no surprise that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was very disappointed in what the Czech leader said. President Zeman made his speech almost two weeks ago, but the OIC’s statement of disapproval is still featured at the top of the organization’s main web page as of this writing. The speech was barely noticed in the Western press, but its prominence on the OIC’s website is an implicit recognition of its significance.

    A grinning thug has walked free from court despite admitting battering a traffic warden over the head with a hammer.

    Arafat Akhtar, 26, hit defenseless David Truman with the weapon after being handed a ticket for parking on double yellow lines.

    The motorist then sped away from the scene in Birmingham but later contacted cops.

    Birmingham Crown Court heard Mr Truman had to take five days off work as a result of the attack which left him “shocked and scared”.

    Akhtar previously admitted assault and having an offensive weapon but escaped jail by being handed a nine month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

    He was also ordered to complete 100 hours unpaid work and £200 compensation.

    As he left the court he grinned at photographers.

    And poor Ike was stuck deep in the bowels of the Rock of Gibraltar while we were pwned in No.Africa.

    I’ve known medical personnel stationed at Wiesbaden. I’m assuming they had better support than the VA stateside.
