Najis means utter filth, the worst. You feel defiled, overwhelming urge to cleanse yourself before you do anything else.
Example-1: A menstruating female is najis. Since you never know when with women of child-bearing age, you must wash yourself completely if one so much as brushes your sleeve. She must not touch your food or hand you a dish. She can’t sit down on a chair you might happen to use.
Example-2: For TopTards, any physical contact with a male Kafir means you can’t pray for a while.

Your 2nd example reminds me of something particularly filthy happening in Paris, and this is first hand information: Increasingly the bus drivers in Paris are tards – the full catastrophe: beards etc. (The French actually call them “les Barbus”). From around 10 only 5 or 6 years ago, my friend (one of the handful of female bus drivers left who still tries to speak up) when there were perhaps 10% muslim bus drivers, now they are over 50 %. These repulsive guys refuse to drive a bus, after a female has been “sitting” in the driver seat. That is bad enough, but now they are being accommodated by the administration who now is very much infiltrated by ….yes you guessed it: muslims. The French dhimmies let them in.
This friend of mine actually got a group of female bus drivers together to protest (Riposte Laique made a video of these women actually) – and from a quite substantial group (8 or 10 who dared speaking up), now there is only one (my friend) left. Her husband is also a bus driver and they have 5 children – so her choice is (as she tells me) “just to hang in there” the children need feeding, educate etc.
That thing with the filthy Tards not wanting to park their arses where civilised people have been sitting is, that this is only the tip of the iceberg of their “take-over”. During Ramadan there is such a huge absenteeism, that it endangers the safety of passengers, because those filling in for extremely long shifts are over tired etc.
My friend does not know how much longer she can last – but, as she says, she has to hang in there – without formal education, and all her children still of school age – her choices are limited in the France of today.
She is a magnificent woman, but last time I saw her, after she was a (most articulate) witness for Riposte Laique before the corrupt French courts, I saw despair creeping into her eyes. Her biggest disappointment being her female colleagues giving in to the pressure one by one. She told me that “Riposte Laique” is the only outlet for her now, where she has a voice. (Yes they are after her now in so many ways).

If a woman doesn’t know any better and extends her hand to a Haredi male to shake in greeting, he will shake her hand. Because: The sanction against embarrassing another person is greater than his own feelings of being defiled. Embarrass = make a person lose face = Murder.
The Haredi will abstain from prayers until he can immerse himself in a ritual bath. He probably won’t “break bread” because he can’t say the blessing for bread. He can eat some other things, but I’m not sure what.
yucki – thank you for all this information – it’s fascinating!! I actually feel sorry for the Haredi – I think it’s actually poignant how they try not to “offend”. Mind you I have no sympathy with those that help spread hatred for Israel and Jews (the ones with the big hats and the Obama voters).
Going out to dinner in a couple of hours with a group of rather “trendy” folk, and so I’m girting my loins for a session of “spreading the word” that Jews really dont eat little Palesteeeeeeeeenian children… perhaps I will take this picture (because, as they say: a picture = 1000 words):

Think of the opportunities for naughty children! A little group of 12-14 yr. old girls have just learned about this clean/unclean business. The very next Friday afternoon they’ve planned an ambush. A group of beards strolls by, they’re on their way to pray, surrounded by their precious little boys. Their attention is distracted for a moment – then suddenly – there’s a collision with girls falling over the toddlers, knocking into the beards, who have to help some of the kids up.
Or, Haredi exhibitionists have taken over the aisles of the plane for 3 times a day prayers. Every time zone lets them show off for the captive audience. So a naughty big girl cuts right through them on her way to the loo. She says, “Excuse me,” managing to touch as many arms and backs and shoulders as possible.
Endless possibilities among people of essentially goodwill.
