(CNN) — A possible threat posed by thousands of westerners who have been drawn to Syria by the ongoing civil war has become a top worry among counter-terrorism officials in Europe and the United States, FBI Director James Comey said Friday.
Dozens of U.S. residents have gone to Syria, made plans or attempted to go, Comey told reporters. Of equal concern, he said, were citizens of European and other countries who can easily enter the United States because of visa-waiver agreements.

“I felt that throughout my time in Canada I felt a lot of discrimination, whether because I’m black or I’m Muslim,” Mohamed Hassan Hersi said. “I felt that if I lived in a Muslim country, I probably would not experience Islamophobia.”

DUBLIN IRELAND – “Outrage” as vandals tape bacon to posters of candidate with Turkish background
PEOPLE BEFORE PROFIT have condemned as “outrageous” the vandalism of a party member’s posters in north Dublin.
Memet Uludag — who is originally from Turkey, but has been living in Ireland since 1998 and is now a citizen — is running for a Fingal County Council seat in the Castleknock Ward in this month’s local elections.
He says that as he passed through Blanchardstown Main Street yesterday, he spotted “strange objects” attached to two of his posters. On closer inspection, he discovered thatlarge, raw pieces of bacon had been stuck on to them with Sellotape.
“This was a clearly racially motivated vandalism,” Uludag said.
[…]Obviously presuming I am a Muslim, they clearly chose the bacon as a symbol of anti-Muslim hate.

CBC – MERS virus: Saudi Arabia reports 25 new cases, death toll rises to 109 –
18 new cases reported Saturday, biggest daily increase in new infections so far
On Friday seven people were confirmed as having MERS, followed by 18 more on Saturday, the biggest daily increase in new infections so far. The total number of cases in the kingdom is 396, of whom 109 have died.
The new cases include nine in Riyadh, 10 in Jeddah, four in Mecca and two in Medina. In July many foreign pilgrims are expected to visit Mecca and Medina during Islam’s fasting month of Ramadan. Millions more are expected in early October for the annual Haj.
[…]MERS, a form of coronavirus like the more deadly SARS, can cause fever, coughing, shortness of breath and pneumonia. However, it is not easy to transmit between people and the World Health Organisation has not advised any travel restrictions for Saudi Arabia.
Scientists say the most likely animal reservoir, from which new cases are becoming infected, is Saudi Arabia’s population of camels.

For decades past, I really liked what America stood for. But since Obama took over, American political authorities have broken their own laws. For a nation that claimed it was a nation of laws, such outrages destroy all that America stands for.
Like Ann Barnhardt, all I can do is to pray for America. I will pray that decent Christian Americans that made America, will restore America, and once again be a beacon to the rest of the world.
DP pay close attention to what is happening in opposition to Obama, it takes time to get the American people riled up but Obama and the left have done just that, the Convention of the States is a last ditch effort to avoid a civil war, and it may not work. Way too many people ignore the fact that any amendment that comes out of the convention would have to be approved by 38 state legislatures. We are trying to work within the law to stop Obama and to reverse the damage he has done, I keep predicting a civil war because I think the convention idea came too late.
