More Ukip horror as investigation exposes racist abuse
There were further examples of rampant racism in Ukip today, after a newspaper investigation uncovered even more offensive comments from local councillors
The Sunday Mirror investigation found one Ukip councillor described illegal immigrants as “sandal-wearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-f******, ragheads”.
Chris Pain, Ukip leader of Lincolnshire council, said his Facebook account had been hacked.
The full post reads: “Have you noticed that if you ¬rearrange the letters in ‘illegal –immigrants’, and add just a few more letters, it spells, ‘Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, baby-making, non-English-speaking ********* and take those other hairy-faced, sandal-wearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-********, raghead ******** with you.”
Another Ukip councillor branded President Barack Obama a “closet imam”, while a third said there were “too many Muslims” in the UK.
The report comes as it emerged 16 Lincoln council Ukip members refused to sign an anti-racism pledge guaranteeing equal treatment for all residents.
The reports of racism are the most serious allegations against the party, which is also dogged by bizarre comments from party members.

Dutch police detain girl who wished to become jihadist fighter against Assad
Netherlands intelligence estimates some 124 nationals have already travelled to the Syrian conflict
A 16-YEAR-OLD Muslim girl has been detained by police in the Netherlands following a tip-off from the domestic security service to prevent her travelling to Syria to become a jihadist fighter against the forces of president Bashar al-Assad.
The girl is the first female volunteer to be stopped before leaving the country – although there were suggestions at the weekend that two other women have previously made the journey, and that as many as nine of those who’ve gone to fight since 2011 have been under 18.
Although the 16-year-old girl was detained by police, they did not say whether she was arrested or whether she will now face charges. Police spokesperson Nicole Bogers would only say she had been “stopped” before leaving the country.

Ms Bogers said the counter-terrorism co-ordinator had estimated recently that as many as 100 Dutch-born jihadists had travelled to the conflict in Syria, and there were now “strong indications that a further 24 have gone”.
If this is accurate, it would make the Netherlands the largest single European source of opposition fighters for the war in Syria, in which the UN estimates some 80,000 people have so far been killed.

Car bombs target Iraq Shi’ites, killing 43
BAGHDAD (Reuters) – At least 43 people were killed in car bomb explosions targeting Shi’ite Muslims in the Iraqi capital and the southern oil hub of Basra on Monday, police and medics said.
The attacks brought the number of people killed in sectarian violence in the past week to almost 200. Tensions between Shi’ites, who now lead Iraq, and minority Sunni Muslims have reached their highest level since U.S. troops pulled out in December 2011.
“The blast hit a group of day laborers gathering near a sandwich kiosk,” he told Reuters, describing corpses littering the ground. “One of the dead bodies was still grabbing a blood-soaked sandwich in his hand.”
Five other people were killed in a second blast inside a bus terminal in Saad Square, also in Basra, police and medics said.
In Baghdad, a parked car exploded in a busy market in the mainly Shi’ite eastern district of Kamaliya, killing seven people, police said.

‘Terrorist attack’ in Moscow prevented
Russian counter-terrorism agents have carried out a raid on a group planning a terrorist act in Moscow killing two suspects, officials say.
The National Anti-Terrorism Committee said the group was located in a house in the town of Orekhovo-Zuyevo, east of the capital.
A third suspect was held in the raid. One agent was slightly hurt.
The suspects are said to be Russian citizens who had undergone training in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region.
The committee statement said: “During an active special operation the bandits were cut off, but when they were called on to surrender they opened fire.”
“Thanks to the decisive actions of the law-enforcement agents, an attempt to carry out a terrorist act in the capital was thwarted.”
An unnamed official source told RIA news agency the group’s target was in central Moscow, but further details were being withheld while the plot was investigated.

Tunisia arrests 200 in Salafist crackdown: PM
200 Salafists are arrested in Tunisia in the aftermath of heavy fighting between policemen and Ansar al-Sharia, a hardline Islamist group
Tunisian police arrested some 200 members of the hardline Islamist Ansar al-Sharia in weekend clashes that erupted after a ban on their congress, Prime Minister Ali Larayedh said in remarks published on Monday.
“Those who have been arrested number 200,” Larayedh said at the Doha Forum in the Gulf state of Qatar, quoted by the Arabic daily Al-Hayat.
The Tunisian leader warned of firm action against Ansar al- Sharia, an organisation that he said has links to and is involved in “terrorism”.
“This group is engaged in violence, is opposed to the state and revolts” against the authorities, he said, according to Al-Hayat.
In response, “we will deal with extremism firmly, we will be rigid,” said Larayedh, a former interior minister and member of the ruling moderate Islamist party Ennahda.
One protester was killed and 15 policemen wounded in the clashes that broke out in Tunis on Sunday after the authorities banned Ansar al-Sharia from staging their annual congress.

AUSTRALIA : Accused rioter Mohammed Issai Issaka berated in court after refusing to stand for Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge
A MAN accused of rioting during last year’s violent Muslim protests has been berated for his “disrespect” after refusing to stand before a magistrate at his court hearing.
Mohammed Issai Issaka, who was charged with riot, assaulting police and resisting arrest over the September incident, this morning said his religious beliefs stopped him for rising for the court – the standard practice whenever a judge or magistrate enters or leaves.
Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge repeatedly demanded Issaka stand for her, telling him she didn’t accept his refusal.
“You can tell me where it is in his religion that it says he cannot stand,” she said to Issaka’s lawyer, Stephen Hopper.
“I was a magistrate at Bankstown Court for four years and I have never had to deal with such disrespect.”
The hearing had to be postponed for nearly half an hour after the prosecution and defence consulted Ms Milledge, with the case eventually continuing after Issaka waited outside the courtroom as everyone stood for the magistrate

GREECE Foreign Minister Avramopoulos Says No Minaret At Mosque
Although the Greek government will pay for the country’s first official mosque in the Athens neighborhood of Votanikos, it will not allow a minaret, Foreign Minister Avramopoulos stated in a letter sent to the Parliament, following a report of the independent MP Nikos Nikolopoulos.
Avramopoulos said that the mosque, which have a capacity of 350, will be developed at an existing state building, an unused naval base that will be renovated in an industrial area. He said a minaret would not be harmonious with the surroundings.
“The matter of the construction of a mosque has bothered the State’ bodies in a long term, so as the best possible solution for the maintenance of the integral balance and safety would be found,”, Avramopoulos reported. He added that “at the same time it is a standing request of the Muslim residents of Greece.”
He added that, “The government, with transparency, makes moves that anyone can check and that are not defined from expediencies.” The country’s Muslims have been pressuring the government for years to build them a mosque as they now have to use basements, garages and other makeshift facilities.

Mosque plans irk Golden Dawn
Athens – Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn has threatened to mobilise 100,000 people against plans to build a mosque in Athens, state television reported on Monday.
“If a mosque is constructed for Islamist criminals in Greece, a front of 100,000 Greeks headed by Golden Dawn will be created,” party spokesman Ilias Kasidiaris told supporters at a rally late on Sunday, in footage broadcast by state television.
The threat came after the Muslim Association of Greece over the weekend said it had received a crude note littered with profanities, warning its members to leave the country or face “slaughter like chickens.”
Police said they were examining the note, which had as its backdrop the symbol of neo-Nazi Golden Dawn, which blames migrants for Greece’s economic woes and has pledged to throw them out of the country.
Golden Dawn, which has 18 seats in parliament and is suspected by rights groups of encouraging supporters to beat up migrants, denied sending the note.
Greece is home to around 500,000 Muslims – many of them undocumented migrants – including a community of over 100,000 Greek citizens of Turkish origin in the country’s northeast.
A staunchly Orthodox state with bitter memories of nearly four centuries of Ottoman Turkish rule, Greece currently offers sanctioned Muslim religious sites only near its northeastern border with Turkey.
Despite years of promises, successive Greek governments have failed to provide a mosque for Muslims in Athens.

Dagestan bombs kill 4
MAKHACHKALA, Russia, May 20 (Reuters) – Two car bombs killed at least four people and wounded dozens of others on Monday in one of the bloodiest attacks this year in Dagestan, a turbulent province in Russia’s North Caucasus region where armed groups are waging an Islamist insurgency.
Car bombs, suicide bombings and firefights are common in Dagestan, at the centre of an insurgency rooted in two post-Soviet wars against separatist rebels in neighbouring Chechnya.

USA – Paterson- NJ – The raising of a flag at City Hall on Sunday was like any of the dozen or so similar events held in the city each year in a nod to its diversity.
Except it wasn’t.
That’s because the flag raised — for the first time in Paterson, and possibly at any city hall in the United States — was Palestinian.
