Last night the company that hosts my website moved it all to a brand new server. This meant a little bit of downtime while certain settings where changed and other things had to be adjusted so the site would be live again.
It should have just given a ‘404’ error while the site was down. But instead, most but not all people got the error, ‘Your IP has been blacklisted from this site” including, by the way, mine.
The company who hosts it is looking into why that happened but its sort of moot now as the site is live everywhere now pretty much. But you all should know that it was not me that caused it, and I received the same error.
My apologies to all in any case. I did get a lot of puzzled, hurt and angry emails about it and I hope to get an explanation for it soon but I doubt the host have it as a priority at this point.

My feelings were rather hurt. Sniff…;( What a horrible message. It reminds me of the old Microsoft message: “You have performed an illegal operation…”. That one nearly killed me the first time I saw it. I was waiting for the SWAT team to come through the skylights…

I just figured the site was down for some reason or another, and tried later
