For the second time in 100 years, Russia has massive problems with leftists.

Prominent Russian opposition leader Sergei Udaltsov, charged with plotting mass disorder in protests last year, has been placed under house arrest by a Moscow court. The leftist was among several opposition figures charged with riots and violence against police during a protest against President Vladimir Putin last May on the eve of his inauguration for a third presidential term.
The Federal Investigative Committee, which answers only to Putin, had barred Udaltsov from travelling freely but said on Friday that he was not complying with that.
The court put Udaltsov under house arrest until April 6.
The shaven-headed Udaltsov has been repeatedly detained during opposition protests, in what his supporters say is a tactic intended to hamper his activism.
Czar Vladamir is finding that not everyone wants his rule, and the leftists are forgetting that the first thing all liberal revolutions do is kill the revolutionaries, after all they have proven they know how to bring down a government.
Crushing leftists, who are probably working hand in hand with Chechen friends and other Muslim fellow travelers, seems proper in this day and age. Russia is pretty stricken with Islam, harsh invasive treatment is necessary. We will need it too down the road.
Russia is also suffering from a lack of confidence among its citizens, according to a report I saw last week they are having 13 abortions for every 10 live births. The women don’t want to bring a kid into Russia.
Indeed, it is not a happy land. But then they are still comparatively fresh to not living under a communist system and the tumultuous changes needed to leave that. A void filled by sharp operators and mafia style business practice. When that has run its course perhaps a more sensible place will evolve. If they can keep, what needs to be kept, together.
