Direct Democracies always fall from the voters voting themselves a free lunch, the jury is still out if the Representative Republic in the US is going to survive this attempt.
The EU was set up to be a government of socialist bureaucrats that would have total control over what happens in Europe with the voters being allowed to elect people who would debate on everything but be able to influence or control nothing.
It was wonderful speech by a wonderful speaker and one reminiscent of Mr Klaus own country man, Vaclav Haval. Oh how Mr Klaus’s words fell like absolute poetry, music upon our ears. Each word carried such hope, so much to aspire to and on and on…… until quite suddenly the music stopped. In walks herself, Mrs Doyle- or Lady Doyle, the ubermensch- without even her good Sunday hat and fine leather hand bag. She takes the stand and reminds everyone that:
“Debate is a recipe for chaos” seriously demeaning to the dignity of this house…….”
