I kind of agree with them. I would like to call on the minister to protect the rest of the community from them. Then, I bet people will leave their signs alone. Meanwhile, if a sign for a mosque gets damaged, apparently its a federal crime. Unlike everyone else in Barrhaven that has to put up with serious vandalism on a daily basis.

Four times now, vandals have targeted a sign announcing the construction of a new Muslim community centre in Barrhaven.
Unsatisfied with police reaction, the president of the South Nepean Muslim Community, Emdad Khan, has reached out to Public Safety Minister Vic Toews, to bring about an end to what he sees as an escalating threat.
The most recent damage at 3020 Woodroffe Ave. happened Aug. 12, 2012. Previous incidents took place April 30, 2010 when racist graffiti was put on the sign, Sept. 19, 2011 when the sign was partially burnt, and July 2012, again with graffiti — this time crude and homophobic in nature.

Ummm right. I know people that were in Iraq during 2003 & 2004. They used local Kuwaiti contracts instead Haliburton. The troops believed their lives were put in jeopardy.

Almost makes one long for “travellers” to set up camp on these construction grounds which could preoccupy the local politicians in legal knots. It might buy time for locals to organize & obtain a barrister committed to anti-sharia encroachment who can legally argue to eliminate this encroachment upon their community.
