The objection is one of more than 160 sent by the Saudis to ICANN, the body in charge of web addresses, over its plan to allow hundreds of new “top-level domains” to supplement .com, and other existing suffixes.

“Many other Christians use the term ‘Catholic’ to refer more broadly to the whole Christian Church regardless of denominational affiliation,” the Saudi Communication and Information Technology Commission said in its complaint.

  1. The Saudi’s are trying to make themselves look big to help stop the Iranians from taking over leadership in the Moslem world.

  2. Well, to be fair, don’t they have:

Anyhoo..tell them to suck my Rebel Lumber!

  3. Islamofascists have done more to drag the name of their prophet mohmmaed, and the “Koran” in the mud than any “Infidel” has ever done.

  4. It doesn’t matter what the word catholic means. The Roman Catholics have been using the word ‘Catholic’ for centuries, why the fuss now?
Of course, it’s just another Musloid agitation designed to create trouble, as usual. Who cares if the Papacy have a .catholic domain. If they monopolise one then that surely is the go-ahead for other religious bodies to create their own domains such as .baptist or .anglican.
To be fair, the Muzzies could even have their own web addresses, such as .liars or .idiots or even .cult.

  5. Of corse they have to make the rules for the protected. They are in charge to legitimize religious institutions and determine the status. This is one world islam – how dare those Catholics think otherwise.

the Saudi Communication and Information Technology Commission – hahaha

  6. Bob it matters because it will let the Roman Catholics bypass the MSM filters, it gives them and by extension the other Christian sects more power to postulate in countries that forbid Christian missionaries. The Moslems will go all out to prevent anymore spread of Christian ideas and values in Islamic countries.

“Pornography undermines gender equality and threatens public morals by objectifying and exploiting women,” the Saudi government said.

This must be the million dollar quote.

    Do I get the prize?

  8. Gay porn is all the rage in Saudi. They live in a situation of gender seperation and so they get hot for guys. That leads to gay porn and a secret life as a gay person while pretending to be a pious muzzie. Saudi Arabia may in fact be the gay capital of the world per capita.
