OIC/EU: “The increasing role of the extreme right in Western politics is beyond our abilities to counter them” says OIC Secretary General

I sure hope it’s true, cause what he calls “extreme right wing” we used to refer to as, “those goddamn hippies”

JEDDAH, 8 Safar/Jan 3 (IINA)-Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said that the European Union offered to host the third meeting of the ‘Istanbul Process’, which deliberates, in a series of meetings, on developing mechanisms to implement UNHRC Resolution 16/18 on combating intolerance, discrimination and incitement to violence based on religion ore belief.

The Secretary General of Islamic Cooperation in his office in Jeddah on Tuesday 30 January 2012 pointed out that the EU’s offer to host the meeting represents a qualitative shift in action against the phenomenon of Islamophobia, which spread in many European countries, targeting the Muslim communities there.

The phenomenon of Islamophobia is found in the West in general, but is growing in European countries in particular and in a manner different than that in the US, which had contributed to drafting Resolution 16/18.  The new European position represents the beginning of the shift from their previous reserve over the years over the attempts by the OIC to counter “defamation of religions” in the Human Rights Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Officials in the Cultural Affairs Department of the OIC said that the European Union’s offer to host the third meeting (the first was in Istanbul in July and the second in Washington DC in December) is considered a promising new possibility of solving this problem. The ‘Istanbul Process’ will have an added momentum by holding the meeting in Europe, which is more affected by the phenomenon of Islamophobia and hostility towards Islam.

However, Ihsanoglu said that the growing role of the extreme right in politics in several European countries has become stronger than the capacity of the Organization, explaining that the extreme right, who hates Muslims, became leverage in the hands of politicians. He added that the rise of the extreme right through elections has become an issue that cannot be countered, considering the democratic way in which these extremist reach their positions. He pointed out to the referendum held in Switzerland, as an example, which resulted in suspending the construction of minarets there following a vote by the Swiss people.

  1. this has cheered me up!
nor am i surprised by it.
the right has had all its work done by the left (and islamists), who continue to do stirling work for the right.

………”the attempts by the OIC to counter “defamation of religions””………….
should read; …..”the attempts by the OIC to re-enforce medieval hocus-pocus”………..

  2. The increasing role of the extreme right in Western politics is beyond our abilities to counter them” says OIC Secretary General

Its not the extreme right but everyone is getting fed up of Islamic practices. Just as the Crusades were a belated (very), response to the ever present Jihad, civilised society is having to make yet another belated response to the Jihad.

  3. There is nothing good in that article, this “diplomatic language” will serve as an excuse for the EU to implement even more restricting so called (in new speech) “anti defamation laws” or “Hate speech laws”.

  4. Very shortly people will have had enough of these Muslim scum and their fellow travelers. Then the Muslims WILL have something to complain about as they are obliterated.

  5. explaining that the extreme right, who hates Muslims, became leverage in the hands of politicians.

There is no hatred of muslims on the right, Insaneglouglou… There is only a feeling that, if we don’t fight back against the 1400-year-old MUSLIM hatred of infidels, science, art, innovation and human rights, the whole world will eventually come to resemble that place where the message and the cause of mahound and its imaginary alter-ego allah cannot be advanced any further, where it has laid roots and “blossomed” to the point that it can only be considered the epitome of perfection from an islamic point of view: Somalia.

  6. By the way, and I must correct myself, we don’t have any “feelings” about the consequences of letting muslim hatred of infidels, science, art and human rights run free in the West… We have an absolute certainty of what that can do.

  7. Personally I hate both pislam and arselifters alike. To me they’re just two sides of the same coin and can’t be splitted up. I don’t care if Rumphole and his associates applies even more anti-hate speech legislation. It won’t change a thing. I won’t stop fighting until the whole EU project is as dead as door-nail and all koranimals has been kicked out of Europe once and for all. all 50 million of these so called arselifters can kiss their arses buh-bye eventually.

  8. That is truelly rich considering that the OIC is an Extreme Right Wing Ultra Conservative organization.

Calling people with classical libral views on human rights Extreme Right Wing does not make it true and it most certainly does not make you less Extreme Right Wing when you do so, which incidentally is one of the reasons he said the slander that he did.

Every member of the OIC catagorically rejects the concept of human rights, freedom of concience and feedom of religion. They all signed the Cairo Declaration which officially rejects human rights. Their unifying element is a belief system that rejects the concepts of human rights and freedom of concience and of religion. (That is for the countries that were not bribed by Saudi Arabia into joining yet only have extremely tiny islamic populations)

If that is not Extreme Right Wing Ultra Conservative then those words have no meaning.

Every single state that signed the Cairo Declaration against Human Rights are all Extreme Right Wing. All members of the OIC are Extreme Right Wing. Everyone who works for the OIC, like Mr. Vowel Salad above, is FAR to the right of Atillah the Hun.

  9. “UNHRC Resolution 16/18 on combating intolerance, discrimination and incitement to violence based on religion ore belief.” But we thought [Mrs Clinton and himself] were going to work together, hand in hand to combat all these these things. It this not what Resolution16/18 is all about? It was such a relief to read that it applied to all religions everywhere!

In the West there is freedom of religion, the freedom is so liberal and has been exploited to such an extent that it has begun to infringe upon secularism. There is not one single case of any member of a minority religion being persecuted, kindnapped, forced conversions or jailed or ect, with once exception and one exception only: The apostates FROM Islam!

Best the OIC turn their attention to the treatment of the religious minorities in the Muslim world particularly: The kidnap, rape and forced conversions of underage, Non Muslim girls ect, ect. They are being deprived of their most basic, fundamental human rights. Yet these shameless, despots continue to dictate to the West on how best to implement their dysfuntional, totalatarian values.
