  1. What down-side would there be right now if Barrack Obama were to do something big, bold, and nasty to the Iranians, like send one of there big ships to the bottom of the sea? We know he has it in him. Wouldn’t his ratings go through the roof? Poor Mitt Romney would be weeping in his non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated beverage, wouldn’t he? Wouldn’t Barry look great with his thousand-yard-stare, two-days salt & pepper growth, and just the right amount of world-condemnation coming in from, like, the French and the Russians, coupled with a great deal of applause and the sound of Republicans saying, “Screw it!” as the 2012 door slams shut and they decamp to the condo in Maui? It’s his to do. If I was a Mullah, I wouldn’t be too sure of myself right about now.

  2. John Stennis was an old style conservative, that’s why they named a big carrier after him. He probably helped get the funding. Iran needs to “get theirs” badly. Let’s see how far Obama will go. The dogs just need the nod. Then the Left will be squalling.

  3. The question that has intrigued me since Obama first got the democrat nod, is if he leads the US to war, will the let give him the same rough ride they gave Bush after 911? We already know the answer is no as we saw in Libya. But this could actually be a huge strategic advantage assuming that Obama acts with the same geopolitical reality that his office demands.
