Al-Shabab has vowed to take revenge for the death of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and to continue their military campaign to unseat the Western-backed transitional federal government of Somalia.

“We shall redouble our struggle and we shall overpower our enemies,” Reuters quoted al-Shabab spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage as saying in Mogadishu on Saturday.

“We shall never divert from the path of Sheikh Osama and we shall continue the battle till we taste the death our brother Osama faced, or achieve victory and rule the whole world,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kenyan security forces have been put on high alert to provide security for US President Barack Obama’s grandmother after receiving information that al-Shabab may try to kill her, a Press TV correspondent reported late on Friday.

Police in Siaya district, located in southwestern Kenya’s Nyanza province, have announced that they have received information that al-Shabab fighters plan to kill Sarah Onyango Obama.

Siaya District Police Chief Stephen Cheteka said heavily armed guards have been dispatched to Mrs. Obama’s residence in the village of Kogelo, which is located in Siaya district.

Cheteka said al-Shabab fighters want to kill Mrs. Obama in reprisal for Osama bin Laden’s death.

US President Barack Obama claimed that Osama bin Laden was killed by US forces on May 2 (May 1 Washington time) in a compound in Pakistan, resisting while unarmed.

He added that the military mission was conducted without the knowledge of Pakistani authorities due to the United States’ mistrust of its purported ally.

A US official later announced that bin Laden’s body was quickly buried at sea, falsely claiming that the hasty burial was in accordance with an Islamic law requiring burial within 24 hours of death.

However, burial at sea is not an Islamic practice and Islam does not have a ruling on a burial timeframe.

US officials also claimed their decision on the sea burial was made because no country would accept bin Laden’s remains, without elaborating on which countries were actually contacted on the matter.

In addition, political analysts have raised serious questions as to why US officials did not allow a DNA test to officially confirm the identity of the corpse before the sea burial.

  1. What I find beyond pathetic and the epitome of self-hatred when it comes to these al-shabab clowns and any black mahoundians is how willing they always are to show to their arab masters that they’re the good slaves that the arabs think it’s their divine obligation to be.

  2. Just like in Jefferson’s time, they need to start killing them before they get to the ships. Sooner or later, they will stop.
