  1. Sorry if this is a duplicate post, but….important enough to make sure the info is out there.

Yesterday(ish), I had commented that the BBC had, indeed, fired a very popular presenter, who had been employed by them for 16 years, simply because he was a white male.

It turns out I was wrong – he had been employed by them for 18 years, not 16.

But they did indeed fire him for being a white male.

Here are just a few of the top links:

  2. http://www.independent.ie/world-news/war-on-terror/woman-who-survived-isis-gangrape-during-three-months-captivity-wins-prestigious-peace-prize-35121715.html

Nadia Murad has been presented with the Vaclav Havel Human Rights Prize for her work to protect her Yazidi people from Isis.
Ms Murad escaped sex slavery at the hands of Isis to become the first survivor of captivity to be appointed a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador.
The 23-year-old Yazidi was captured by the jihadi group in 2014 and subjected to sexual and physical abuse after being sold several times as a slave to a man with a wife and daughter.

She revealed that Isis militants forced captives to pray and then raped them.

  3. This one is a real puzzle: are lawyers not, well, lawyers?

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-37628038

Lawyers for the main suspect in last year’s Islamist attacks in Paris say they will no longer defend him.
Salah Abdeslam will use his right to remain silent, one of the lawyers, Frank Berton, told BFM TV.
“We said from the beginning… that if our client remained silent we would quit his defence,” he said, alongside fellow lawyer Sven Mary.
The attacks in Paris last November on bars, restaurants, a concert hall and the Stade de France killed 130 people.
So-called Islamic State said it was behind them.
Salah Abdeslam was arrested in Brussels in March and has kept silent since his transfer to France in April.

    • No it is not, a defence requires the lawyers to have the client talk to them so they can defend him, their client was the fixer, the one who did the logistics, he may not have fired the guns cut up people etc., because he bottled out but his actions directly caused the death of the people in Paris.

He knows that if he talks about the organisation of the attacks and defends himself by chickening out when he told his fellow Muslims that his belt refused to go off. He is waiting in jail for the victory of Islam in France, after all 2020 is when they will gain victory in Europe, or so he has been told.

He obviously has made his choice, and in truth who will blame him for that, from where I am sitting, which is near a major French city he is likely to be right.

      • If the Europeans don’t fight back the Moslems will win semi win by 2020, personally I think that the civil wars will be going full force by then and it will be in doubt which side is going to win in the short run. In the long run the Europeans are going to win but the long run will start a couple of decades from now and the full European victory may not occur until the 21st Century.

          • I agree, his lose wouldn’t mean that freedom has lost but it would mean that the fighting in North America would be longer and bloodier.

  4. Bekasi. Around a thousand protesters calling themselves the Bekasi Islamic Forum converged on the Bekasi city government offices west of Jakarta on Monday (07/03), to protest against the construction of a church, which they say is situated too close to an Islamic boarding school.

The same group earlier attended the boarding school in the Ujung Harapan area in Bekasi before moving in a convoy to the Santa Clara church in North Bekasi. At the church construction site, the group prevented workers from entering while dozens of police officers stood by to watch.

The group later drove to the Bekasi city government offices in South Bekasi, arriving at 10:25 a.m. They demanded that Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi revoke the church’s permit.

  5. http://www.khaleejtimes.com/international/pakistan/fear-faith-in-pakistan-as-christian-mother-appeals-death-sentence

A life and death countdown has begun in Pakistan, where the Supreme Court is due to hear a final appeal against the execution of a Christian woman for blasphemy.

Some insist it is not just a fight for one life – but a battle for the nation’s soul as the state walks a razor-sharp line between upholding human rights and appeasing populist hardliners.

This will be the final appeal for mother-of-five Asia Bibi, some six years after she was sentenced to death – accused of insulting the Prophet Mohammed during an argument with a Muslim woman over a bowl of water.

  6. Is that the sound of reason waking up in Germany? Probably just political posturing….

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/germany-may-tighten-rules-allowing-failed-asylum-seekers-020923736.html

BERLIN (Reuters) – New draft legislation would make it harder for some migrants who have been denied asylum in Germany to obtain waivers to stay in the country, the German newspaper Die Welt said on Wednesday.

It said new legislation drafted by Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere and being circulated among other ministries would establish new rules for deporting migrants who had broken German law and who posed significant danger.

De Maiziere and other conservative government officials began urging faster repatriation of those whose asylum applications have been denied after a spate of violent attacks in Germany in July, two of which were carried out by Syrian refugees linked to the Islamic State militant group.

  7. The Koran states – unequivocally – that Arabs are the best people on Earth, and the Qareshi tribe of Arabs is superior to all other tribes of Arabs, and that Mohammed is the best and most superior of the Qareshi, which is why Allah chose to reveal the Koran to him and him alone.

Under Sharia, the most (if not only) legitimate reason for a woman to seek a divorce is because her husband (and, therefore her superior) is of ‘lower birth’ than she is.

This has been the reason for why Muslim women may not be married to non-Muslim men (the husband is in position of power over the wife, but Sharia forbids non-Muslims to be in a position of power over Muslims, even female ones).

It is also the reason for why, in Muslim lands, non-Muslims are only permitted to take jobs performing the lowliest and most humiliating tasks.

That is all part of Sharia – which unequivocally states that a white woman ought not be subjugated to the rule of a non-white husband, and all that kind of thing.

Now that I have briefly sketched out the Islamic rules, perhaps this story will make sense:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/saudi-arabia-woman-ordered-divorce-husband-due-to-superior-origin-court-judge-a7355441.html

A Saudi judge has reportedly upheld a ruling forcing a woman to divorce her husband because of her “superior origin”.

The initial decision was made in April when Maha al-Tamimi was eight-months pregnant. But following a prolonged legal battle, a judge in Al-Ayina Court in Riyadh upheld the verdict.

Mrs al-Tamimi claims her uncles filed a lawsuit demanding she divorce because they doubted her husband’s lineage.

According to a translation by Emirates 24/7 News, she said: “My uncles claimed in court that I married against my father’s wish… but their real reason is that they believe my husband and I do not have compatible family origins.

“I appeal for the Monarch to intervene to save me and my baby.”

The court was told that she had failed to gain her father’s consent to the marriage, but Mrs al-Tamimi claims he no longer lives with the family after taking a second wife.

  8. An act of war – if only there were a MAN in the White House to deal with it…

The United States is seeing growing indications that Iran-allied Houthi rebels, despite denials, were responsible for Sunday’s attack on a Navy destroyer off the Yemen coast, U.S. officials told Reuters.

The rebels appeared to use small skiffs as spotters to help direct a missile attack on the warship, said U.S. officials, who are not authorized to speak publicly because the investigation is ongoing.

The United States is also investigating the possibility that a radar station under Houthi control in Yemen might have also “painted” the USS Mason, something that would have helped the Iran-aligned fighters pass along coordinates for a strike, said the officials.

Neither of the two missiles fired from Houthi-controlled territory on Sunday hit the USS Mason or the nearby USS Ponce, an amphibious transport dock. But the incident threatens to trigger the first direct U.S. military action against Houthis in Yemen’s conflict, even if it is limited to one-off retaliation.

The Houthis have publicly denied any role in the strike. A senior Western diplomat told Reuters those denials have been communicated privately as well.

But the emerging details of Sunday’s incident, if confirmed by a U.S. investigation, would lend further support to the Pentagon’s claims that “the facts certainly seem to point” to Houthi involvement. The U.S. military even hinted on Tuesday at possible preparations for a retaliatory strike

The massive trove of emails by Clinton confidant John Podesta released by Wikileaks has exposed journalists from a variety of media organizations who are “with her.”

CNBC chief Washington correspondent and New York Times political writer John Harwood is the most prominent journalist who is cozy in the emails with the Clinton camp. The CNBC anchor is also the one who should arguably be the most embarrassed.

Harwood in several emails to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta showers Hillary in praise. Harwood in one email to Podesta says “[Hillary] was good here” after an event and in another describes her as “pretty strong.”

Worse than just showing his love for Hillary, Harwood in the emails helps the campaign. The CNBC anchor describes a story he is writing about Hillary as one “she wants.”

A Washington Post reporter gave former White House Senior Counselor John Podesta advance reassurance she was withholding information about his ethically compromising financial links to a Democratic mega-donor.

“I just wanted to make sure John Podesta had a heads up that his name will be in a story concerning the White House’s ethics policy, which could run on Monday,” WaPo White House Bureau Chief Juliet Eilperin told then-Obama White House Assistant Press Secretary Frank Benenati in a March 21, 2015, email.

The story appeared March 22, 2015, under the headline, “Obama promised to curb the influence of lobbyists. Has he succeeded?”

White House officials being tipped off in advance by journalists about a story could add new fuel to longstanding charges by critics of what they describe as a too-cozy relationship between Washington politicians and influential reporters.

  11. New York Times Gave Hillary Veto Power
WikiLeaks emails show reporter agreed to let Clinton campaign cut quotes before story ran

Hillary Clinton spent time in summer 2015 with The New York Times reporter Mark Leibovich and made a crack about 2008 Republican presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

But the remark didn’t make it into the long profile. Leibovich agreed to give the Clinton campaign veto power over the statements she made.

“These exchanges were pretty interesting … would love the option to use.”

The revelation comes in Part III of a massive email release from WikiLeaks.

Leibovich evidently gave the campaign the ability to ax quotes as part of a deal for access.
    ADVERTISING

Danielle Rhoades Ha, vice president of communications for the Times, defended the arrangement. “We were transparent with our readers and disclosed the arrangement in the story,” she wrote in an email.

In the 42nd paragraph of the 54-paragraph story, Leibochich explained the deal: “In early July, after much back and forth with the campaign and reluctance on my part, I decided to take the campaign up on its offer of an off-the-record conversation with Clinton. I figured I would use the opportunity at Bretton Woods to ask Clinton directly for an interview or at least to let me do part of our conversation on the record. She chose the latter.”

But the disclosure did not exactly specify Clinton and her team would be allowed to determine, retroactively, which parts of the conversation were on or off the record.

Leibovich emailed campaign Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri on July 7, 2015, to try to lobby for a batch of quotes.

“These exchanges were pretty interesting … would love the option to use,” he wrote.

The Palin shot came during a discussion between Clinton and Leibovich in which the Democratic candidate for president discussed having eaten moose stew in Alaska. “So that’s why I always got a big kick out of Sarah Palin with all of her, ‘We’re cooking up some moose stew here,'” she said.

But Palmieri told Lebovich that Clinton did not want the Palin quote to appear, and it did not. Instead, the passage in a story titled “Re-Re-Re-Reintroducing Hillary Clinton,” read: “She had seen a few in her day, she told me. ‘I’ve eaten moose, too,’ she said. ‘I’ve had moose stew.'”

The Clinton camp also objected to using a quote in which the candidate said that “gay rights has moved much faster than women’s rights or civil rights, which is an interesting phenomenon somebody in the future will unpack.”

The email exchange also indicates that Palmieri misunderstood the terms of the agreement. She wrote that she thought the campaign would be able to pick the quotes that would be used. Leibovich responded, “I wanted the option to use all — and you could veto what you didn’t want. That’s why I selected the 5 or 6 I sent to you…The moose is good, but I’d really love to use the other things I sent, too. They were all on point. Sorry for mis-communique here, but do you think you can check?”

    Palmieri seemed satisfied.

    “Pleasure doing business!” she wrote.

Donna Brazile, the current head of the Democratic National Committee, appears to have tipped the Clinton campaign off to a question about the death penalty that was going to be asked during a CNN town hall in March, newly released emails show.

“From time to time I get the questions in advance,” Brazile wrote in an email to Clinton campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri on March 12.

Brazile, who was a CNN contributor at the time of the email, went on to ask Palmieri about Clinton’s stance on the death penalty.

“Here’s one that worries me about HRC,” wrote Brazile in the email, which was released on Tuesday by Wikileaks. The emails come from the Gmail account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

    • Burka wearing Muslim women to be future symbol of France, Francois Hollande claims (express, Oct 12, 2016)
      http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/720358/Francois-Hollande-book-Burka-Muslim-women-future-symbol-France

“BURKA-wearing Muslim women will become the future symbol of France, Francois Hollande has said in his new book.

In the French President’s new book named ‘A president should not say that’, he declared women who wear the veil will be the “Marianne of the future”.

Marianne is France’s national icon and a symbol of its values of liberty, egality and fraternity.

But his comment on the wild-haired, bare-breasted Marianne angered scores of hardline politicians, who bitterly condemned the leader’s words via social media this morning.

They claim Mr Hollande has “given up” and is no longer willing to wage a war against radical Islam.

Brigitte Kuster, the Republican mayor of Paris’s 17th arrondissement, said she wished she could erase Mr Hollande’s words from her memory, that his statement about Marianne was “indecent and provocative”.

Presidential hopeful Bruno Le Maire, a right-wing candidate, tweeted: “Marianne will never wear the Islamic veil!”

An extreme-right mayor, Jacques Bompard, said Mr Hollande was gearing up for next year’s presidential elections, and that his words were an “attempt to woo Muslim voters”.

Another right-winger, Guillaume Larrivé, said: “No, Marianne will never wear the full-face veil. The French must fight against submission, and will not take a step backwards.”

But Mr Hollande’s supporters say his words have been taken out of context and misread.

According to French newspaper Le Monde, Mr Hollande was trying to say sometime in the near future, Muslim women would have liberated themselves from the shackles of religion and would be fully integrated into French society.

They will only wear the headscarf because they want to, and not because they have to, he said.

He said: “Muslim women could still feel that the Islamic veil is a form protection, but they will no longer be forced to wear it.”

But the ‘Arabic Marianne’ comment is not the tell-all book’s only shocking revelation.

The president also said “too many” illegal immigrants were “pouring” into France, and his country had a “problem” with Islam, because religious leaders were “imposing” their beliefs and values on the secular Republic.

Mr Hollande also said he would vote for Nicolas Sarkozy – whom he called cynical and money-oriented – if he had to choose between the latter and far-right candidate Marine Le Pen, who, according to polls, will make it through to the final round of the presidential elections, no matter what. “

  15. My oath – new generation of Hong Kong lawmakers defies Beijing

HONG KONG (Reuters) – Three newly elected Hong Kong lawmakers were barred from the legislature on Wednesday after using a swearing-in ceremony to raise the contentious issues of independence and more democracy, highlighting growing defiance of Beijing.

The three are among a new generation in the city, which returned to Chinese rule in 1997, demanding greater self determination, at least six of whom won seats in its 70-member legislature in an election last month.

Two of the new lawmakers pledged allegiance to a “Hong Kong nation” and displayed a “Hong Kong is not China” banner as they took their oath.

In response to their action, the head of the city’s Legislative Council Secretariat said he had no authority to administer the oaths to Yau Wai-ching, 25, and Baggio Leung, 30.

  16. Oh, look: Obama said he’d appoint a special prosecutor to investigate a political opponent – in 2008

Donald Trump certainly turned us into a banana republic on Sunday night, didn’t he?

Besides being caught in a 2005 recording saying the most vulgar, disgusting things we’ve heard since the last Miley Cyrus performance (or Lena Dunham interview), Trump said that if elected, he’d appoint a special prosecutor to look into Hillary Clinton’s history of misdeeds in federal office.

“Banana republic!” shouted the left. Criminalizing politics! Threatening to use the judicial system against people you have political differences with! Q.E.D.

Andrew McCarthy stepped in nobly at NRO to point out that Trump wasn’t proposing to criminalize politics (which is true), and that it’s the FBI’s and DOJ’s own behavior in the Hillary investigation that actually makes us perilously like a banana republic (which is also true).

So we’re indebted to McCarthy for going to the trouble in that regard.

  17. In a first, ISIS kills Kurds, wounds French commandos with armed drone

The Islamic State used an armed drone full of explosives to wound French troops and kill two Kurds on Oct. 2, according to a report from French newspaper Le Monde.

The strike, believed to potentially be the first of its kind against Western forces, took place just outside Irbil, which is located in northern Iraq, The Washington Post reports.

Two Kurdish peshmerga troops were killed in the attack, and two French special operators were also seriously wounded. One is still in critical condition. Both were whisked away back to France immediately.

Due to the rapid proliferation of drone technology and the fact that component prices have dropped significantly over the past few years, militant groups are quickly adopting drones as a new weapon.

And yet, the use of drones with explosives, much less against Western forces, is uncommon. In many cases, ISIS simply uses drones for surveillance footage to use in propaganda films.

U.S. forces in Iraq now carry the equipment to bring down these kinds of drones, such as a Battelle DroneDefender, which actually doesn’t even use bullets. Rather, the technology works by disrupting the communication line between the drone and its operator.

  18. Sweden: Arson suspected in Muslim prayer room fire

Police technicians find traces indicating arson, in Malmo, city with 38 pct foreign population

Police suspect an arson attack in a fire which damaged a Muslim prayer room in Malmo, southern Sweden.

Firefighters from three different fire stations in the city – Sweden’s third-largest – quickly put the fire out Tuesday, and no one was injured. The entire building was smoke damaged.

“Technicians on site have located traces indicating that it’s an arson attack,” Daniel Jonasson, central command at the Malmo police, told tabloid newspaper Kvallsposten.

The building is also home to various community associations.

One local told state media SVT Nyheter Skane that he often comes to the building for his visits to the Iraqi culture association Aldorr.

“We were here last night celebrating Ashura,” the Islamic Day of Remembrance, he said. “I didn’t notice anything strange at the time. I drove past just now and saw that there had been a fire.”

Some 38 percent of Malmo’s population is of a foreign origin, making up 110,000 people in the coastal city.

  19. Bombshell: Hillary Clinton also has a tape with her own ‘locker room’ banter

You can’t say we weren’t warned. On Sunday, an ex-‘Apprentice’ producer promised there would be “far worse” Trump tapes to come. And sure, enough a video has emerged on You Tube that will likely create fresh headaches for the presidential aspirant.

In it, the nominee learns of an entertainer’s wardrobe malfunction in which the person’s genitals were exposed.

When asked if it’s possible to get a copy, the interviewer reveals the video can be found on YouTube, to which The Donald replies, “It’s on YouTube? Good, I’ll look for that.”

But wait a minute. That isn’t The Donald, in the video, which follows. It’s The Hillary. And her words demonstrate that women can be just as crude and lacivious as men.

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/indian-soldiers-kill-kashmir-militants-day-standoff-42746557

“The Indian army says a three-day standoff between its soldiers and suspected rebels in Indian-controlled Kashmir has ended with the killing of two militants.

Army officer Maj. Gen. Ashok Narula said the fighting ended Wednesday near saffron-rich Pampore town on the outskirts of the disputed region’s main city of Srinagar.

The rebels had taken positions inside a building in a sprawling government compound. The multistory building was extensively damaged.

A soldier and a police official were injured in the initial fighting on Monday.

Kashmir is experiencing its largest protests against Indian rule in recent years, sparked by the killing in July of a popular rebel commander by Indian soldiers.

The protests, and a sweeping military crackdown, have nearly paralyzed daily life.”

“An explosion targeted a passenger-filled taxi in northeastern Nigeria’s largest city on Wednesday, killing at least seven in the deadliest bombing there in several months, officials and witnesses said.

Six people were killed at the scene and another died at a hospital, said Bello Dambatta, an emergency response official. The National Emergency Management Agency said on Twitter that 15 injured people were receiving treatment.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.

The blast occurred as the taxi approached a gas station. The bodies of victims were sprawled on the ground next to the bombed-out vehicle as officials inspected the area.

It was unclear if a bomb had been planted in the taxi or if a passenger detonated explosives.

Northeastern Nigeria is the epicenter of the Boko Haram extremist group’s seven-year uprising that has claimed more than 20,000 lives. Maiduguri city had been spared deadly bombings in recent months as soldiers were able to shoot suicide attackers before they reached their targets…”

  23. Indonesia passes chemical castration law for paedophiles (BBC, Oct 12, 2016)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-37629558

“Indonesia’s parliament has passed controversial laws authorising chemical castration, minimum sentences and execution for convicted paedophiles.

President Joko Widodo proposed the changes in May following the gang rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl.

The laws were subject to fierce debate in parliament, with two opposition parties voting against castration.

Human rights groups have objected to the punishments, arguing that violence will not be stopped by violence.

The Indonesian Doctors Association said administering chemical castration would violate its professional ethics and said its members should not take part.

    ‘Harshest punishments’

The procedure entails injecting convicts with female hormones. It is used on sex offenders in Poland, South Korea, Russia, and some US states, among others. Prisoners in UK jails can volunteer for the treatment.

The new laws also allow judges to sentence paedophiles to death or tag them electronically, and applies a 10-year minimum sentence for child sex crimes.

Human rights groups including the National Commission for Women (NCW) criticised the laws and called for them to be re-evaluated each year to test whether they are a deterrent…”

  24. Pig’s head dumped outside mosque days after claims it’s funded by Saudi Arabia (express, Oct 12, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/720340/Pigs-head-nice-mosque-saudi-arabia-fund

“A BLOOD-SOAKED pig’s head and rear end were discovered outside the entrance of a mosque by a sickened imam.

The boar was found yesterday, just a day before prosecutors announce a verdict on another case where a pig’s head was dumped outside the same mosque during Ramadan.

The imam, who preaches at En-Nour mosque in Nice, the southern town where 86 people were killed by an Islamic State (ISIS) fanatic in July, said he found the dead animal in the early hours of Tuesday morning, and immediately called the police.

He said: “This is the second time that this has happened, and hopefully, it will be the last.

“The police came, took the head, and we will be filing a complaint.”

Boubekeur Bekri, the vice-president of the Regional Muslim Council also condemned the suspected hate crime.

He said: “The people of Nice – Muslims and non-believers – are disgusted and angry. Whomever is responsible for this will be severely punished for insulting Islam.” …”

  25. ‘No alien population can settle in Hungary’ Orban SNUBS Brussels with new migration law (express, Oct 12, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/720211/viktor-orban-eu-migrant-quota-brussels-migration

“HUNGARIAN Prime Minister Viktor Orban is planning tough new migration regulations following this month’s quota referendum result.

Mr Orban wants changes to the country’s constitution which will ban foreigners from settling unless they abide by new residency rules – against European Union (EU) wishes.

He submitted the proposed changes to the nation’s parliament yesterday.

The amended constitution, if approved, includes the paragraph: “No alien population can be settled in Hungary. Foreign citizens, not including the citizens of countries in the European Economic Area, in accordance with the procedures established by the National Assembly for Hungarian Territory, may have their documentation individually evaluated by Hungarian authorities.”

On October 2, the EU’s controversial quota scheme was rejected by 95 per cent of people who voted in a country-wide referendum.

The policy, in which countries are expected to house a set number of migrants, has been strongly condemned by a group of EU nations in a protest spear-headed by Mr Orban.

However, because less than 50 per cent of the voting population did not go to the polls, the overwhelming result was deemed invalid.

Despite this, Mr Obran is continuing his efforts to protect Hungary’s borders despite the EU’s approval by introducing “law-proof” changes to the country’s constitution.

The parliament will discuss the proposal over the next few days before choosing whether to approve the amendment.

Kim Lane Scheppele, a professor of international affairs in the Woodrow Wilson School and the University Center for Human Values, said Mr Orban had done his “lawyerly homework”.

She said: “The Hungarian government has done its lawyerly homework and tried to law-proof it against the most obvious international challenges.

“The appeal to constitutional identity will keep the European Commission busy for a while figuring out how to frame an infringement action in response to this ‘in your face’ rejection of its common policies.”…”

  26. Refugees told they are ‘scum’ and SPAT on as tensions rise over sex attack in Sweden (express, Oct 12, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/720195/Swedish-migrants-attack-video

“A VIDEO has emerged showing a man confronting the refugees suspected of carrying out a high-profile gang rape of a disabled woman in Sweden.

On October 2, Swedish police revealed a disabled woman was gang raped in a refugee centre after asking to use the toilet.

The victim had shared a taxi home with a man after going for dinner in a restaurant in Visby, Sweden, when she said she needed to use the toilet.

The assault sparked anger in the town and extra police were called to the island when an angry mob attacked the asylum centre with rocks.

Radio Nordfront, a far-right and anti-immigration group in Sweden, have released a video that claims to show the alleged rapists.

In the video, which appears to be filmed on a mobile phone, a man can be heard confronting the migrants.

He says, in broken English: “Is this your friends? Have you also been with the police?”

“Yes,” replies one of the migrants to which the man behind the camera shouts: “Yes? You are f****** scum.

“Okay? F****** scum is what you are. Okay? Leave this f****** country, you filthy animals.”

Nordfront wrote on their website “the man who verbally confronted the suspected rapists on Gotland” was taken in for questioning by local police.

Swedish police did not release the nationality of the alleged perpetrators or any other details about them.

However, Expressen newspaper reported the suspects are all asylum seekers and that the rape allegedly took place at asylum accommodation….”

  27. ISIS now calls on young recruits to blow themselves up at home, Belgian authorities say (RT, Oct 12, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/362474-isis-young-blow-home/

“Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) has adopted a new tactic – instead of calling upon its followers to join it in Syria, they are urging young recruits to stay where they are to blow themselves up there, Belgian authorities said, as cited by the media.

“Young people are no longer called upon [by Islamic State] to fight in Syria, but [are called] to carry out attacks in their country,” Belgian federal prosecutor spokesman Eric Van der Sypt said on Wednesday, as cited by the Flemish-language outlet Het Nieuwsblad.

According to Van der Sypt, “this is a new trend, a new tactic” by Islamic State which is a “serious concern.”

Minors are “easily influenced” and thus more easily radicalized by terrorists, he said. “It is not easy to control them. And if they are still caught, it is difficult to penalize minors.”

The recruitment of young jihadists usually happens via social media, mostly via the Telegram app. “The youth are brainwashed through these channels, [they] are prepared sooner or later to plunge into action.”…”

  28. France approves creation of National Guard to combat terrorism threat (RT, Oct 12, 2016)
    https://www.rt.com/news/362507-france-national-guard-terrorism/

“France has approved legislation to create a National Guard as the government struggles to battle the terrorist threat. The guard is expected to include up to 85,000 service personnel by 2018.
The law was approved by the Council of Ministers, a powerful executive body composed of senior officials, on Wednesday.

“The National Guard, these volunteers, both men and women, have decided, in parallel to their civilian lives, to join the military service for the protection of the French people,”said a statement on the government website.

Those who apply for the National Guard will be able to choose between army activities, serving in the gendarmerie (the police force that is part of the French Army), or working in the French police.

The volunteers can engage in military operations abroad, surveillance patrols and public security missions, and can combat crime or work in the spheres of health and cyber issues…”

    • Russia: Putin urges greater trust between the US and Russia over Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with TF1 in Moscow on Wednesday that Russia and the US “need to increase the level of trust” between one another when dealing with the Syrian conflict. He referred to the security of one of the humanitarian corridors in Syria saying that it is necessary to “open a safe passage along this road.” He said this could be done by removing “militants from one side and the Syrian Army from the other” which he said is something on which “everyone agrees.”

SOT, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia (Russian): “What we say is: let’s remove the militants from one side [of the road for humanitarian convoys] and the Syrian Army from the other and open a safe passage along this road. Everyone agrees. Moreover, they even wrote it down in a certain document. Then nothing happens, not one of our partners does a thing. Either they do not want to or they cannot remove fighters. And then comes an exotic offer. I will surprise you now and your viewers. It was suggested to us that our armed forces, the military of the Russian Army, should stand on this road and provide security. Our military people are courageous, determined, they came to me and said they were ready. I said no. We will do it, but only together with the Americans. So, we suggested that to them. They immediately refused. They do not want to stand on it, do not want to remove the combat units of the opposition, the terrorists, what’s then? We need to increase the level of trust for each other. And understand that these threats are common ones and that only by working together can they be stopped and eliminated.”

  29. Hillary’s Uranium One Deal Gives Russia Leverage
Posted on Wednesday the 12th of October 2016, by Alice Greene : Staff Writer

With the uncomfortable situations in Ukraine and Syria, animosity between Russia and the US has reached levels unseen since the Cold War. Last Monday, Putin further curtailed cooperation with Washington with the decision to suspend the Plutonium Management and Disposition Agreement.

Many believe that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s controversial and corrupt Uranium One deal – which gave the Kremlin control of 20% of the uranium in the US – is linked to Putin’s decision.

The 16-year-old plutonium deal, which aimed to make arms reductions irreversible, forced Russia and the US to collectively clean up 34 tons of weapons-grade plutonium (enough for 17,000 nuclear weapons). According to estimates, the US currently has about 95 tons of weapons-grade plutonium; Russia has 128.

    • ” aimed to make arms reductions irreversible”

The US needs to just STOP this destruction of Plutonium; it is quite clear that the whole point of the START agreements and the elimination of our Pu stocks is to convert the US to a minimalist deterrent state like France. We are a laughing stock to agree to this and in this respect, no different from Ukraine who signed off on an agreement with the US and Russia guaranteeing their territorial integrity in return for giving up their nuclear arsenal. Is there any better exemplar to the foolishness of “Parchment Barriers” when you hold credible weapons of deterrence in your hands?

  30. Trump Tapes and Clinton Morals
Only the Clintons can protect our moral values.

Even presidents have private lives. It is time to stop the pursuit of personal destruction and the prying into private lives and get on with our national life,” President Clinton whined.

It was the late hot summer of ’98 and the man dubbed “Slick Willie,” the nickname he claimed to dislike the most, was facing the prospect of becoming the first president to be successfully impeached.

These days the Clintons seem to have changed their minds about whether presidents should have private lives that ought to be pried into. So did the media, which back then insisted that it was “just sex,” but has belatedly decided that a president’s sexual conduct ought to be subject to scrutiny after all. But then again double standards are its stock in trade. They always have been.

Bill’s bedroom is off limits, but Trump’s isn’t.

Unable to run on national security, the Clintons want to run on the same subject that they once eschewed. And they want Trump’s sex life to be up for public debate, but not Bill’s.

  31. Massive Flood of New Immigrants from Muslim Nations
What could possibly go wrong? Let’s let Hillary tell us.

The Washington Examiner reported last week that “at 42.4 million, there are now more immigrants, legal and illegal, in America than ever before, fueled by a massive flood from Muslim nations….And while the doors remain open on the U.S.-Mexico border, the biggest percentage increases in immigration are all from largely Muslim nations.” What could possibly go wrong? Hillary Clinton knows, as she revealed in a 2013 email that makes her current public position on immigration absolutely inexplicable.

The Examiner added that according to Steven A. Camarota and Karen Zeigler of the Center for Immigration Studies: “The sending countries with the largest percentage increases in immigrants living in the United States from 2010 to 2014 were Saudi Arabia (up 93 percent), Bangladesh (up 37 percent), Iraq (up 36 percent), Egypt (up 25 percent), and Pakistan, India, and Ethiopia (each up 24 percent).”

Hillary Clinton, despite her determination to increase the number of Syrian refugees entering the United States by 550%, knows very well the risks involved in this massive influx of Muslim immigrants, and in her scheme to increase their number even more. The Daily Caller reported Monday that “in a private 2013 speech, Hillary Clinton worried about the risk of ‘jihadists’ entering Jordan with ‘legitimate refugees’ because ‘they can’t possibly vet all those refugees.’”

  32. Muslim in Norway Rapes Daughter for Being Too Western

In Europe, Muslim violence, bigotry and terror is usually blamed on a failure to integrate. And this failure to integrate is in turn attributed to native intolerance. But in fact Islamic settlements have very specific social codes and measures meant to prevent integration. Honor killings are the most commonly known. “Corrective rape”, a disgusting practice more often associated with Africa than the Middle East, has not been widely heard of before this. It’s certainly a troubling development.

A Muslim man who became enraged at his daughter becoming “too Western” allegedly raped her.

According to the Norwegian press, the man — believed to be in his 40s — attacked his daughter at the family home in Fredrikstad.

Cops say the alleged victim — in her 20s — told detectives she was raped for not living a strict Islamic lifestyle.

“They had been arguing prior to the rape,” police lawyer Anette Sogn told Fredrikstad24. “The father has been angry because his daughter did not follow his (Islamic) way of life, she explained in questioning.”

  33. A Constitutional Right to Literacy
The failing Detroit school system is taken to court — but who will really benefit from the case?
    October 12, 2016
    Walter Williams

Detroit school students, represented by the Los Angeles-based public interest firm Public Counsel, filed suit last month against the state of Michigan, claiming a legal right to literacy based on the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. Ninety-three percent of Detroit’s predominantly black public school eighth-graders are not proficient in reading, and 96 percent are not proficient in mathematics. According to the lawsuit, “decades of State disinvestment in and deliberate indifference to Detroit schools have denied Plaintiff schoolchildren access to the most basic building block of education: literacy.”

In terms of per-pupil expenditures, the state does not treat Detroit public school students any differently than it does other students. According to the Michigan Department of Education, the Detroit school district ranks 50th in state spending, at $13,743 per pupil. This is out of 841 total districts. That puts Detroit schools in the top 6 percent of per-pupil expenditures in the state. Discrimination in school expenditures cannot explain poor educational outcomes for black students in Detroit or anywhere else in the nation. Let’s look at routinely ignored educational impediments in Detroit and elsewhere.

Annie Ellington, director of the Detroit Youth Violence Prevention Initiative, reported that 87 percent of the 1,301 Detroit public school students interviewed in a survey last year knew someone who had been killed, disabled or wounded by gun violence. According to an article published by the American Psychological Association, 80 percent of teachers surveyed nationally in 2011 had been victimized at school at least once during that school year or the prior year. Detroit public schools are plagued with the same problems of violence faced by other predominately black schools in other cities.

Richard: I am with Walter Williams, if this law suite succeeds it will line the educational establishments pockets and do nothing to help the kids. It will also generate a lot more suites that will line a lot of lawyers pockets.

  34. Iran’s Islamic Tortures: ‘They Brutally Stabbed Me’
Iranian prisoners speak out against the Mullahs’ medieval human rights abuses.

The Iranian regime’s advocates in the West are not only negotiating and dealing with a country that is ranked highest in the world when it comes to carrying out executions, but they are also defending a regime that is currently conducting the most sadistic methods of torture in modern history.

Recent revelations by Ajab Gol Nour Zehi, a Baluch prisoner and resident of Iranshahr in the Sistan and Baluchistan province, shed light on some of these horrific medieval penal practices currently being imposed on prisoners by Iranian government agents.

    Gol Nour Zehi states that

They ruthlessly subjected me to beating with cables on the head and face and back such that after nearly one and half years the signs of the flogging with cables can be seen on my body…In the first 20 days of arrest, every day a number of officers with guns hung me and at the same time beat me (with cable and rifle butts) for several hours. The beatings with rifle butts resulted in fracture of tibia in my legs and created a hole in it to an extent that a finger can be placed inside it. The traces of fractures are still present in my legs…. They brutally stabbed me on the soles of my feet and left side of the abdomen, near the bladder, and severely wounded me such that the signs of the wounds on my body are still present and obvious.

THE German chancellor’s controversial open-door migrant policy has been dealt another catastrophic blow after it emerged only 1 in every 10,000 migrants who arrived since last year has a job

Astonishing statistics revealed that only 1 in every 10,000 refugees who arrived during the massive migrant influx last year are now employed.

German firms have defended themselves after Angela Merkel blamed them for not hiring enough refugees.

The German leader unleashed a scathing criticism of local businesses – but company leaders claim refugees “are just not ready” for the job market.
