5. Sharia Sudan demolishes church, bans construction of new churches
Sudan has prohibited the construction of any new church in the country which has been under an Islamic regime since 1989.
The Sudanese Minister of Guidance and Religious Endowments Shalil Abdullah announced that the government will henceforth not issue permits for the building of churches in the country.
Minister Shalil Abdullah told the press on Saturday that the existing churches are enough for the Christians population remaining in Sudan after the secession of South Sudan in 2011.
6. There is a rumor being floated that UK cabbies are putting black ribbons on their antennae to show support for jihad and the new caliphate. If this is true, please take pictures of any muslim driven cabs showing these ribbons and ask the driver (nicely and non illegally) why its there. Then of course, take a different cab. “An Iranian court has jailed eight activists for a total of 127 years for criticising the government on Facebook. The defendants, who were handed sentences of 11 to 21 years, were page administrators on the social networking site, according to the official IRNA news agency.
The agency said the defendants were convicted of plotting against national security, spreading propaganda against the ruling system and insulting officials. It did not identify the defendants or the Facebook pages.
The report said that the court issued its verdict against the eight activists, who come from various cities including the capital, in April following several court appearances.
They appealed immediately, said IRNA.
Facebook is already officially banned in the country, along with other social websites like Twitter and YouTube as well as their mobile apps.
However some senior leaders like Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif are active on Twitter and many Iranians use proxy servers to access banned websites and applications….”

UK: Angry protesters rail against BBC “pro-Israel bias”
CANADA – Montreal chiropractor fined for proposing to teen patient
MONTREAL – A chiropractor was fined $1,000 earlier this month for asking a 15-year-old patient to marry him.
Erick Verret of Montreal accepted the fine from Quebec’s order of chiropractors and quit the profession.
The girl, not named in the July 2 disciplinary ruling, had been visiting Verret weekly in his west-end office to relieve pain in her left leg, the document says.
Verret sent the girl several romantic e-mails in the winter of 2013 and later hand-delivered a love letter to her home.
The long letter “leaves no doubt as to the feelings and intentions that Mr. Verret had towards his patient,” the judgment says.
The girl’s father filed a complaint with the professional order.
Verret claimed he initially “thought he was acting properly” given that he and the girl are both Muslim.
But he later admitted there is a difference between “religious precepts and ethical rules,” the ruling reads.
