(Reuters) – Austria accused Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan of electioneering and stirring up trouble on Thursday when he urged thousands of cheering supporters in Vienna to respect their adopted country but reject ‘assimilation’.

Austrian leaders had appealed to Erdogan not to undermine their efforts to integrate the Turkish community of more than a quarter of a million in his address at a 10th anniversary rally of the Union of European Turkish Democrats.

5. Check out this article on today’s mad bomber in Sweden. Notice that he is in police custody and there is no description or decent photos of the man whatsoever even though everyone knows who he is. Once again we see evidence that we are forced to pay for agencies to misinform us as to the nature of reality.

Thank you ML, M, Richard and many more. Also there may be more posted tonight. It depends how much I can get done. Two more interviews to edit, both of which I think are very interesting.

  1. NORWAY – OSLO -Arrests over Norway imam attack, Muslims threatened

Several mosques in Norway receive threats that are full of hatred agaisnt Muslims including the mosque Nehmat Ali Shah was an imam in.

According to The Islamic Council, Norwegian mosques receive an increasing number of threats that are full of hatred against Muslims.

Secretary General in the Islamic Council in Norway, Mehtab Afsar, tells Klassekampen that both the Imam’s mosque, Central Jamaat Ahle Sunnat, as well as other mosques have received several threats.

“This is an unfortunate development,” Afsar said.

Nehmat Ali Shah, the imam of the Central Jamaat Ahle-Sunnat mosque on Oslo, was wounded in the face and hands after he was attacked by a masked man late on Monday night.

“We conducted a search of his house and have therefore charged the two men,” Grete Lien Metlid from the Oslo police told Norway’s VG newspaper.

“Both have been questioned, but we have decided not to detain them.”

Oyvind Bergoy Pedersen, the lawyer representing the two men, told the newspaper that the charges had been expected given the known history of conflict between his client and the imam.

“My client was aware that this was going to happen, since he has been in conflict with the imam before,” he said. “He has now been questioned by the police, and is 100 percent sure that the indictment will become waived. He has nothing to hide, and is relieved to explain himself to the police,” Pedersen said.

In 2002, Shah was forced to stand down as imam of the mosque.

However in 2004, the returned to the position. Two years later in 2006, four people were injured when four men attacked the mosque with a cricket bat, hammer, and several knives.

In 2008, Norway’s Court of Appeal said that two families have long been in conflict over control of the mosque, with the dispute chiefly revolving around who should be the imam.

Two men charged over Oslo imam attack

Two men have been charged in connection with the brutal knife attack on the imam of Oslo’s largest mosque, Norway police announced on Thursday evening.

The elder of the two men had previously had two restraining orders imposed on him, after several threats made against the mosque and its imam.

Shah was forced to stand down as imam of the mosque in 2002, after ten years in the post, due to an internal power dispute.

  2. BULGARIA – Wooden cross hung at mosque in Bulgaria

A two-meter tall wooden cross was hung in a mosque in a provocative act by unknown intruders on Friday.

The incident took place at Karaca Pasha mosque in the southern town of Gotze Delchev, 200km from Bulgaria’s capital Sofia.

In a statement strongly condemning the attack, the Regional Office of Mufti in Blagoevgrad said: “The incidents which trigger dispute among religions and directly threaten national security should be investigated and offenders should be brought to justice.”

The regional office also said similar attacks had happened recently and called for adequate protection against potential future attacks.

  4. 30 Shia militiamen killed in Iraq clashes: police

Militants attacked the town of Muqdadiyah northeast of Baghdad on Friday, sparking clashes that killed 30 Shia militiamen, a police colonel and a doctor said.

The fighting began on Friday morning and eased later in the day with security forces still in control of Muqdadiyah, a key approach to Diyala provincial capital Baquba, and militants deployed in adjoining areas.

Shia militiamen have joined Iraqi security forces in fighting against a major offensive by Sunni Arab militants that overran all of one province and chunks of three more in a matter of days.
Security forces performed poorly during the initial days of the assault, in some cases shedding uniforms and abandoning vehicles in their haste to flee.
While they seem to have recovered somewhat from the shock of the onslaught, retaking ground in certain areas, the militants have made gains elsewhere.
