I am allergic to pork. I learn real fast if pork is in foods. It’s in more foods then most people realize. I am sure I am not the only one with this allergic reaction to pork.
They could use a person like me to find these foods.
My rule of thumb any food that uses lard or can use lard will likely will have pork lard.
Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you might get. I know See’s candies many of them have/had pork in them.

WASHINGTON, May 27 (Reuters) – The State Department on Tuesday told U.S. citizens in Libya to leave the country immediately, warning that the security situation remained “unpredictable and unstable.”
“The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against all travel to Libya and recommends that U.S. citizens currently in Libya depart immediately,” the State Department said in a new travel warning.
The last travel warning for Libya issued on Dec. 12 strongly advised against all but essential travel to Tripoli and against traveling outside the capital.

USS Bataan moves into Mediterranean
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Navy warship USS Bataan has moved into the Mediterranean Sea and could be used, if needed, for any possible evacuation of American personnel from Libya.
U.S. defense officials say the Bataan, an amphibious assault ship, is not near Libya and isn’t expected to be positioned off its coast. It more likely will remain in the region, and could move or respond quickly if called.
State Department officials said Tuesday there are no plans for an evacuation at this time.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter by name.

“At least 17 people were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a Shia mosque in the centre of Iraq’s capital, Baghdad.
The attack occurred as worshippers prepared to attend midday prayers in the Shorja district of the capital. No-one has claimed responsibility so far.
Last week, at least 24 Shia Muslim pilgrims were killed in three bombings in Baghdad.
The country has been without a government since last month’s polls.
A bomb also went off in the eastern Shia district of Sadr City, killing two, police said…”

“Officials in Iran say they have confirmed the country’s first two cases of Middle East respiratory syndrome.
Two sisters from Kerman province tested positive for the virus that kills around a third of those it infects.
One sister is in critical condition and the other is receiving treatment, the health ministry’s centre for disease control and prevention said.
Mers has been spreading throughout Iran’s close neighbour Saudi Arabia.
A recent upsurge of infections in Saudi Arabia is of concern because of the influx of pilgrims from around the world expected from late June for the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
There is no vaccine or specific treatment for Mers, which has killed more than 175 people in Saudi Arabia.”

Nigeria violence: Cameroon boosts anti-Boko Haram border forces (BBC, May 27, 2014)

“Cameroon has deployed about 1,000 troops to its border with Nigeria to fight the growing threat of the Islamist group, Boko Haram.
A defence ministry spokesman said the troops would carry out reconnaissance missions and return fire if necessary.
The group is also said to have killed 11 soldiers and 13 police officers in the north-eastern state of Yobe, the Nigerian military has said.
Yobe is one of the three north-eastern states under a state of emergency.
Witnesses in the town of Buni Yadi said the attackers had arrived in several vehicles, including an armoured car, and told residents they were not going to kill civilians, only members of the security forces.
They also burnt buildings including the home of a traditional ruler and a police station.

Libya – Benghazi, May 27 2014: Severed head found dumped in Derna mosque
The severed head of a Derna student who apparently challenged members of an Islamist brigade has been found dumped in a mosque in the eastern town.
A Derna resident identified the young man as Abdul Moaz Abdul Razk Turkawi saying his head been found wrapped in a plastic bag in the town’s Sabaha mosque. The resident said he had witnessed an incident yesterday where Turkawi had challenged members of the Islamic Army in Derna who had seized his car at a checkpoint.
Turkawi walked away from the altercation and the events leading to his death are unknown.
The teacher training college in Derna where Turkawi was a student has expressed its sadness at his death, offering condolences to his family.

I can see the allergic reaction being a reason to want to know what is in a food item, thand God I don’t have any known allergies.
Spanish Inquisitors tried to expose crypto-Jews by forcing suspects to eat pork or shell-fish. Genuine Christians have allergies too – shellfish allergies are relatively common.
