This is NOT a crime yet, to actually affirm your privacy rights on a device you bought and paid for, instead of letting companies and the state know everything you do and control your choices. As we can see, there is acceleration of loss of rights across the West, and probably because we speak English, most notably in the Anglosphere, but its a safe bet the same is true across Western Europe.

Hopefully they will reclaim a touch of their natural rights to freedom, not just of speech, but to actually access information by doing this.

Which nearly no one is and frankly, less than nearly no one should need to be.Install brave on it and it has its own built in VPN for browsing, and adding a VPN to the phone is easy.
I can’t figure out anyone else’s cost-benefit for doing things like this. It’s really hard enough for myself. But in terms of the reality in the West today, both with laws being passed, but maybe not enforced yet like in Canada, or enforced without any clear indication of the law behind it like the UK, anyone who cares about freedom and privacy should consider this.
Rumour has it that soon, Motorola phones will be able to be flashed with Graphine. Depending on the model, that is a WAY cheaper option. But for anyone doing sensitive work like journalism, medicine, law, teaching, or anything at all where state narratives are mandatory, de facto or Dejure, I would not wait.
