Reader’s Links for March 22nd 2026

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

**New intelligence suggests a specific course of action concerning use of Substack. For a variety of reasons, who owns it, and who owns the ONLY company that monetizes authors on Substack, the question for us has always been, ‘Why is Substack allowed to exist?” I believe the answer is now known to us. It collects data on you and who you are connected to. Substack does have the best writers out there for counter-narrative views, and does allow the authors to make money at it. Which is suspicious already. But the reasons were made known to us by a Cyber-security professional. The solution seems to be to use a dedicated browser, ONLY for substack. There are many good ones out there now. So downloading another browser is easy. Get the DuckduckGo go one, or Brave or one of many others and use it ONLY for substack and clear cookies after use. Like washing your plate after you eat.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression. The Substack is a different project in a sense. It is older videos that in the light of subsequent events, look different or of increased importance, Check it out now and again if you like. But use it safely.

At 24:45 he points out the mounting panic in island nations, perhaps including some Carribean discomfort (Australia’s small-continent capacity, too) stemming from the energy crisis. • What happens when they run out of supplies? If we replace the Mullahs with an Iranian chosen government the civil war should end quickly. Also the General in charge of one of the provinces has sworn loyalty to Reza Pahlavi how many others are thinking of doing the same.

    • I think this is what she is talking about, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basijhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basij

This is basically a militia structure that use to be common around the world, the militias were called out to defend the homeland from invasion but weren’t much use in set piece battles. They rarely have to training or equipment to stand besides the regulars in battle. There are exceptions to this but they are exceptions not the rule.

The structure spelled out in the Wikipedia article is what the left was working on for the US military, political correctness above competence and the militia useless for anything besides pushing around unarmed civilians. As I stated in my first comment the leader of one of the Basij groups is suppose to have sworn loyalty to the Crown Prince. This is the danger of having a politically correct military, they often desert to a stronger enemy in an attempt to save their lives. If you want to have a strong militia you need a well armed civilian population, one that loves their country and will turn out to fight. People without knowledge of history often confuse untrained or semi trained personal with weapons with a trained group. The original concept of the State Militias was to have a few “trained bands” to lead the armed civilians in a constant guerilla war against an invader. The civil war showed that this concept could work (more or less) if you were willing to that the early causalities that the militias would suffer. Since it is unlikely we will have many US boots on the ground the Basij groups will probably me local civilians that have been armed and trained by either the US or Israel.

It is going to get real interesting in various locals in the near future.

  3. How China Built Iran’s Surveillance State – and America Broke It
The Failures of China’s Surveillance Architecture in Iran

…The panopticon could be rebuilt at national scale with Chinese components, sold under the administrative language of smart-city modernization, and embedded so deeply into telecommunications infrastructure that no citizen documentation could escape it.

Nowhere did that reconstruction go further than in Iran, where the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the People’s Republic of China spent 15 years assembling a machine of invisible coercion that only the combined force of American satellite technology and strikes finally broke open…

    Canada + China?

        • I know, all Western Nations are suffering from a bad case of not learning from the mistakes of history, this is why WWIII is on the horizon and approaching at Military Emergency Power. The next few decades are going to be very scary, the world will be very different after the war.

Every distopian SF story I have read had the US and Canada joining at some point in the near future. Don’t forget no matter what we still need to control the Northern Coast of Canada to prevent Russia and China from taking part or all of it.

          • It’s the only logical conclusion to this little legacy line separating us. You don’t need our stupid lefties but our resources are another matter. The lefties will be dealt with in time.

  5. Iran Panic! China Just Did the Unthinkable…

    Notes: [edited]
In late March, China supplied Iran with 20 large cargo aircraft, filled with advanced, military equipment including antiaircraft batteries and MIRV ICBMs. These represent far greater dangers because even if a missile is intercepted prior to reaching its target, it can still hit 5 or more precise sites in the vicinity by launching the multi-entry rockets, making it much more difficult to intercept.

In the two days prior to Israel demolishing the Iranian LNG processing center, a number of the individual MIRVs hit residential buildings in Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest city, causing significant casualties.

Israel struck the Iranian LGN activity as a warning to desist from attacking its civilian centers with MIRVs.

China thought it could continue to utilize Iran as a proxy in the sense that it would face no consequences if it franchised its violence to another party, the way Iran utilized Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, Islamic Jihad, etc., when it attacked Israel through these terror franchises.

In response to the Israeli message, the “Second String” Iranian decision-makers attacked 12 regional oil & LGN producing Sunni Muslim States, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

    Now what for China?

      • I will agree with that, I don’t see how Iran can have any hope of keeping the same type of government after the war, PT isn’t going to stop until we have achieved a clear victor that even the Dems will have to admit.

    • If Xi has any brains he will back off, the problem is that he is in political trouble and if he backs off he may end up dead. If China does back off their economy will contract close to the point where it collapses, if the war spreads and turns into WWIII the Chinese economy collapses. Their problem is that Xi decided to take over the world by manufacturing everything for everyone thus controlling the world. Now the entire world isn’t buying as much and China is in massive trouble, they can’t shift to a consumption economy without giving the people a lot more freedom and power. All they can do is ride the chaos and pray for a landing they can survive.
