Reader’s Links for February 9th, 2026

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression. The Substack is a different project in a sense. It is older videos that in the light of subsequent events, look different or of increased importance, Check it out now and again if you like.

  1. “Elon Musk.”
    “Ok, Elon Musk.”
    “Elon Musk.”
“You said that. What’s your point?”
    “It’s the name.”
    “What about it?”
“How can you fail with a name like that? It’s like a name out of an Arthur C. Clark or Asimov book.”
“Are you saying his name made him successful and not his brain?”
“Of course not. I’m saying his name helped him. It helped to form a mystique around him, which begot attention, which begot financial interest.”
    “I think you’re stretching things.”
“Am I? Does perception not shape reality?”
“To a degree, I suppose. But not to the extent where a person who hasn’t the substance to succeed can succeed like he has simply based on his unusual name.”
“Oh, I agree. However if we are trying to understand the concept of reflexivity we must understand the concept of the Imperial Circle, which helps us predict the flow of capital and power.”
I see. So what you are doing is presenting Elon Musk’s name as a ridiculous example of a real thing. What you’re saying is that perception can become reality if you provide an incentive for reality to catch up.”
“Nice way to put it, yes.”
“So the Imperial Circle must be identified, first. Then you target the weakest members at the periphery of the circle?”
“Something like that. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around it. Their shorts attracted more shorts to the Pound, and Soros being Soros waged the biggest bet.”
“This also sounds similar to the shorts on precious metals. The big banks have shorted metals since, well, forever.”
“Yes, to give the illusion that the fiat Dollar was supreme. But I think the difference is that physical metals are finite, whereas fiat is theoretically infinite. One day reality surpasses perception, ironically.”
“I hear Elon wants to go back to the moon.”
“Yes. This is his perception. Then into the universe.”
