Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. I’ve never been a fan of technical trading. Too technical. Charts and cups and handles for as far as the eye can see. Michael Oliver is one of the most prominent of them. He’s been droning on about precious metals for years. This big problem I have with him now is that he is turning out to be kind of correct about a lot of what he has been predicting. Not to many people are laughing at him now:

  8. Men jailed for raping teenage girl in Rotherham

    Two men have been jailed for raping a girl in Rotherham more than two decades ago.
    Kessur Ajaib, 44, and Mohammed Makhmood, 43, abused the girl over a period of more than two years, starting in 1999, when she was about 14.
    Ajaib gave her alcohol and raped her in an alleyway, and Makhmood raped her in a graveyard after spotting her at a bus stop and inviting her to smoke a cigarette, Sheffield Crown Court heard.
    Ajaib and Makhmood were jailed for eight-and-a-half years and seven years respectively following a trial.
    Ajaib was also convicted of indecently assaulting the girl and sentenced to three years’ imprisonment to run concurrently.
    He was cleared of a second count of rape against her.
    Both men, who were aged between 18 and 20 at the time of the offending, must sign the sex offenders’ register for life.
    A third offender, Sageer Hussain, was sentenced to three additional years in prison in November for raping a second victim.
    The 40-year-old had already been serving a 19-year sentence at HMP Moorland near Doncaster for raping a girl aged about 13.
    He was cleared of two counts of rape relating to Ajaib and Makhmood’s victim.

  9. Four guilty after girl, 16, raped and exploited

    Four men have been found guilty after a teenage girl was raped and sexually exploited.
    Arqash Zaffar, Shiraz Nassir, Mohammed Nadim and Shaban Arif were convicted for their part in assaulting the 16-year-old girl during a “horrific ordeal”, said West Midlands police.
    Zaffar and Nassir were found guilty of rape, Nadim of sexual assault and Arif of facilitating travel for sexual exploitation.
    Police said the girl was assaulted several times by the group after being picked up in Birmingham, before being taken to Denton, Greater Manchester, and Walsall where she was raped by the pair and other unknown men.
    Zaffar and Nadim targeted the girl while she was waiting for the bus on Alum Rock Road in Birmingham, with Zaffar asking for her number.
    She declined and got on the bus – but days later the men targeted her again and persuaded her to get in the car offering her a lift to the city centre.
    Police said instead Zaffar drove her to a secluded area where both he and Nadim sexually assaulted in the back of the car.
    They picked up Arif before driving the teenager to the home of Nassir in Denton, where she was raped by Zaffar and Nassir.
    The girl reported being taken back to a hotel room in Walsall where she was abused further by Zaffar.
    She was driven to Birmingham, where Zaffar offered a friend the hotel room key and to stay with the girl – but the friend declined.
    Later that evening she reported being taken back to the room where four other unknown men raped her one after another.
    West Midlands Police said Arif provided false information when booking the room, but provided his name, vehicle registration and driving licence which later helped with the investigation.
    Officers said they were able to identify the convicted men involved through phone use, hotel bookings, vehicle and insurance details, and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) records.

  10. Asylum seeker jailed for raping teenager in park

    An Afghan asylum seeker who raped a teenage girl in a park has been jailed for nine years.
    Rapualla Ahmadze – who claimed he was an escaped prisoner of the Taliban – attacked the 17-year-old in Cooper Park in Elgin, Moray, in August last year.
    Ahmadze – who is believed to be 21 – had denied rape, claiming that sex was consensual, but was previously found guilty.
    At the High Court in Edinburgh, judge Thomas Welsh KC said it was a “shocking and violent” attack.
    Ahmadze had carried out the assault after approaching the girl and making “intimidating” remarks.
    He claimed he was out in the early hours of the morning because he was hungry and looking for food.
    He was convicted of rape and a separate charge of threatening or abusive behaviour.
    On Tuesday, the court was told there was a dispute about his age but it was stated he would have been about 20 at the time of the attack.
    Defence counsel Shaun Alexander said Ahmadze was born in Afghanistan.

  11. Men guilty over Jewish community gun attack plot

    Two men have been found guilty of planning a gun attack to cause “untold harm” to the Jewish community in Manchester.
    Walid Saadaoui, 38, and Amar Hussein, 52, had a “visceral dislike” of Jewish people and arranged for guns to be smuggled into the UK as part of an “Isis-inspired plot”, Preston Crown Court heard.
    They believed they were planning the attacks with a third man, known to them as Farouk, who they thought shared their extremist views but was actually an undercover operative.
    Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the main instigator Walid Saadaoui had plotted to carry out what “could potentially have been the deadliest terrorist attack in UK history”.
    Walid Saadaoui, of Abram in Wigan, and Hussein, of no fixed abode, were found guilty of preparing acts of terrorism between 13 December 2023 and 9 May 2024.
    A third man, Saadaoui’s younger brother Bilel Saadaoui, 36, has been convicted of failing to disclose information about acts of terrorism.
    Walid Saadaoui aimed to smuggle four AK-47 assault rifles, two handguns and 900 rounds of ammunition into the UK.
    How gun plot targeting Jewish community was stopped
    Months earlier the father-of-two, originally from Tunisia, paid a deposit for the weapons and believed he had arranged for their importation with a like-minded extremist in Farouk, who was an undercover operative.
    He told Farouk he could independently get a firearm via Sweden and indicated he was looking to bring guns from eastern Europe. Separately he had bought an air weapon and had visited a shooting range.
    Saadaoui was arrested in a hotel car park in Bolton on 8 May 2024 when he went to collect some of the firearms, which had been deactivated, from the back of a car.
    The prosecution said two assault rifles, a semi-automatic pistol and nearly 200 rounds of ammunition were found in the vehicle.
    But counter-terrorism police said they were in control of the supply and delivery of the weapons in order to protect the public.
    Hussein and Bilel Saadaoui, who were both elsewhere, were arrested minutes later.
    The trial heard Walid Saadaoui had been planning to “martyr himself” in the attack.
    He had prepared a will and had left a copy with his brother, along with access to his belongings and tens of thousands of pounds in cash to help provide for his family.
