Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    Israel said it killed a senior Hamas commander on Saturday in a strike on a vehicle inside Gaza.
    In a joint statement, the Israeli military and security agency Shin Bet announced it had “eliminated” Raed Saad, the head of weapons production for Hamas’s military wing, the Qassam Brigades, in Gaza city.
    Saad had been regarded as one of the most prominent Qassam commanders and led several brigades during Hamas’s 7 October attacks on Israeli communities east of Gaza City.
    The Hamas-run Civil Defence spokesman, Mahmoud Basal, told the BBC that four people were killed in the strike. He said multiple passers-by were also injured by the blast.

  7. SYRIANS, AFGHANS, IRAQIS – NOW 40% OF ALL CRIME IN GERMANY

    Germany’s Federal Criminal Police just released nationwide crime statistics by nationality for the first time.
    The results aren’t a rounding error – they’re a Category 5 reality check.
    The baseline: 163 violent crime suspects per 100,000 German citizens.
    Syrians: 1,740 per 100,000. That’s 10.7x higher.
    Afghans: 1,722 per 100,000. Same story.
    Non-German suspects now account for over 40% of all cases. Foreign convicts have grown past one-third of the total prison population.
    In sexual offenses, Afghan men show up as suspects 11 times more often than German men.
    Iraqi men: 10 times.
    The raw volume? Syrians committed 135,668 crimes between 2015-2024.
    1 every 39 minutes for a decade straight!
    Afghans: 82,960 crimes. Iraqis: 69,946.
    That’s 460,000+ crimes from the top 10 migrant source countries in 10 years.
    In 2024 alone, Syrians were suspects in 12,512 violent crimes – the highest figure in the entire decade.
    Rape and sexual assault cases involving Syrians jumped 60% since 2020.
    Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt’s response? “Tougher measures.”
    The conservativce AfD’s calling for mass deportations, since this mess started.
    Every major German city now has this data, and no amount of “but young men commit more crime” handwaving explains 10x differentials.
    Where this goes: Either Germany implements the deportations the data screams for, or the political backlash gets uglier.
    Half of German women already report feeling unsafe in public spaces.
    These aren’t “isolated incidents” – this is systematic overrepresentation in every violent crime category.
    The numbers don’t negotiate. And German voters can read spreadsheets.
    Whether you call them ‘racist,’ or not.

    The constant refrain is that men in general are behind Germany’s crime problem and that foreign origin is secondary. However, current data shows the opposite is true.

    Last year, Syrian women had higher rates, per 100,000 people suspected of violence, than German men.

    The data shows that for 100,000 German men, 272 were suspected of a violent offense. For Syrian women, this figure per 100,00 was 336. Clearly, Syrian women were more violent than German men.
    However, they are not the only group. Afghan women are also more violent, with a rate of 359, even more violent than Syrian women.
    Iraqi women have an incredible rate of 394, which is considerably more than German men.

    Another wave of knife attacks has hit Germany, showing that not much has changed despite the many lost lives and Germans maimed in knife attacks. In fact, the statistics show that these crimes are even getting worse, with 79 knife attacks per day now recorded. A German criminal lawyer warns that Germany has “imported knife violence,” in response to growing blade crimes.
    In the last few days, headlines include Kosovar man arrested after knife attack in Germany injures three, including 12-year-old girl” “Man stabbed half to death on basketball court,” “Manhunt continues after Syrian asylum seeker stabs 5 outside student bar in Bielefeld,” and “Rioter injures police officer with knife.”
    However, thousands of such headlines have run in the German press in recent years, with Remix News reporting on many of them. The overwhelming number of perpetrators are foreigners or those with a foreign background, yet despite promises to crack down and enact deportations of migrant criminals, the bloodshed not only continues but appears to be getting worse.

    Manuel Ostermann, deputy head of the Federal Police Union, stated that “the knife as a means of committing a crime always immediately poses a concrete threat to life and limb. Politicians must now take all possible measures to curb this phenomenon.” Ostermann is the same police union head who said that Germany’s crime problem is actually an immigration problem during a viral speech last year.

    New German federal government statistics indicate that young foreigners are disproportionately represented as suspects in numerous crimes, with particularly significant differences in street crime and shoplifting.
    The suspect burden figure (TVBZ) has been compiled by the Federal Criminal Police (BKA) and published in the Police Crime Statistics (PKS) starting this year. This ratio shows the total number of identified suspects over the age of eight, and is calculated per 100,000 inhabitants per population group. It examines all crimes except for immigration law violations, and the data presents a concerning trend.

    However, in regard to other groups of young people from North Africa, the difference is even more astronomical. Algerian youth feature a TVBZ rate that is a tremendous 56 times higher than Germans.
    For Moroccans, it is 19 times higher.
    Differences are also notable across specific offense categories. In street crime, which includes offenses like bodily harm, robbery, sexual harassment, and pickpocketing, the TVBZ for German suspects is 168. For Syrians, this figure jumps to 1,291, and for Afghans, it’s 1,218—nearly eight times as high.

    This data also needs to be considered from another perspective. Many of these German citizen suspects have a foreign background; however, there is often no way of knowing how many of these suspects have a foreign background because Germany does not record this information.
    There are some ways around this. As data from North Rhine-Westphalia showed, when the first names of gang rape suspects are analyzed, it shows that at least half of the German citizens clearly had names from a foreign background, such as Mohammad.
    During the Berlin riots on New Year’s, a list of the names of suspects was leaked to the press, which showed a huge number of the “German” suspects actually had foreign names.
    A top Berlin prosecutor has indicated that up to three out of four clan members have German citizenship.
    Any time any of these suspects commit a crime, it is recorded as a German suspect. If Germany kept data on the crime rate of German citizens with a foreign background, as Denmark does, it would likely reveal an incredibly high crime rate among this group of German citizens.

  12. Israel’s Yellow Line in Gaza Corrects Its Strategic Depth Deficit

    The Yellow Line in Gaza separating the areas controlled by the IDF and Hamas is not a political border designed for annexation; it is an operational necessity designed for sanitation. It represents the shift from a failed doctrine of “containment.”

    For two decades, the assumption was that a high-tech fence on the 1967 armistice line, combined with economic inducements, would contain the threat. Oct. 7 demonstrated the catastrophic failure of that approach. We learned that allowing a terror state to metastasize just meters from civilian communities creates an intolerable risk.

    The Yellow Line corrects this strategic depth deficit. It acknowledges that security cannot be maintained from the outside looking in; it requires internal lines of control that prevent the adversary from achieving strategic mass.

    If the IDF withdraws its forward positions today, there is no “revitalized” Palestinian Authority capable of stepping into the breach. The only organized force with the logistical capacity and the will to seize control is the remnant of the Hamas battalions, currently melting into the civilian population.

    The diplomatic obsession with the “Day After” often ignores the reality of the “Day Present.” Stabilization is impossible without security, and security in a post-conflict zone requires area denial. To demand the dismantling of the Yellow Line is to demand that Israel voluntarily surrender its leverage and its security for a return to the status quo ante. From a strictly military standpoint, removing this crucial “firebreak” before the total capitulation of Hamas would be operational malpractice.

    If the international community wants the line to fade, they should stop pressuring Israel to withdraw and start pressuring Hamas to surrender.

  14. Israel faces its most important test since 1973.
    And it begins in Washington.

    Israel has survived the October 7th massacres, the tunnels, the rockets, the northern front against Hezbollah, the propaganda storms, and the quasi-legal campaigns.

    It has survived every form of kinetic and informational assault.

    But the most dangerous phase of the war may unfold far from the battlefield. It will unfold in Washington, inside rooms where the real leverage of this conflict now sits. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to the United States to meet President Donald Trump on December 29th will determine whether the achievements Israel earned through war are defended or surrendered across a negotiating table.

    The danger is not abstract. It arrives through the political incentives surrounding the American president. Trump is not the architect of this pressure, but he is now the axis through which it operates. The Arab bloc knows he needs the ceasefire to succeed. They know the agreement carries his signature. They know a collapse lands on his record. They understand his instinct for a visible win. And they have shaped the diplomatic environment so that the only lever he can pull to protect his achievement is Israel’s prime minister.

    Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan have never been so coordinated. They have agreed, explicitly and implicitly, on one message: If the ceasefire stalls, if its second phase does not begin, if Gaza does not move toward the Arabs’ preferred governance model, the failure is not on them; the failure is on Israel, and Israel is understood to be America’s responsibility.
