Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.
This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

the neighborhood continues to be the subject of re-zoning initiatives because it is “not walkable” and “not densely populated,” which “deprives lower-income residents of housing.” We spend time trying to demonstrate that a predominantly Orthodox Jewish area is by design walkable because its schools and synagogues are well within walking distance from the people who use them. There are also four kosher, eateries and three sets of medical offices as well as two pay-for-entry swim clubs, all with “walking distance.” Houses are densely populated with families having 0 to 8 children in a four-bedroom house; there are at least two senior residences and a few large apartment buldings, but even these, we are told, need to be re-zoned. The vision is to reduce car access in favor of more leisurely transit and for the city to claim front yards to be dedicated bus lanes, while allowing “European-style, large mixed used residential-business structures” in place of the exisiting stand-alone housing and the businesses that are on the perimeter of a large parking lot. Then, finally one realizes that there is no longer an attempt to make it make sense because it doesn’t make sense. Arms wave in the air, attorneys at meetings giggle, and contradictory words fly through the air “this is just a draft” or “we can’t legally change plans.”

In the Nation’s capital, patriotic citizens line a Beltway overpass during rush hour traffic with large signs stating “ICE is evil” and “No Kings.” I prefer this outlet over having a sitdown protest on the Beltway. ICE needs to do a better job at showing that it is going to save lives as it stops narcos from human trafficking. “The King” needs to invest and seed enough infrastructure to make it attractive for people to remain with their families south of the border. I wonder how history will view this schism.
