Call out for information from Montrealers!

I just got a call from a friend in Montreal that all the streets near and around the Israeli consulate in Montreal are blocked by police. St. Catherine, and the three streets below it are “all blocked with a lot of cops”.

If anyone knows anything please leave a comment.

Thank you.

Eeyore.

UPDATE at 6:48 ET

They blocked off two streets South of St. Catherines.

OK it is a GIANT protest on a newly paved road on Wood Ave. in front of the Israeli Consulate.

They are selling merch even! All on Wood Avenue.

It appears that the Muslims had their street prayers at 6:30 on Wood Avenue and the police closed many streets for them.

  1. I m in front of it. 2 or 3 police and some people packing. Calm and free to go. Nothing is blocked

    • Thanks. My friend who was stuck in traffic there said there was dozens upon dozens of police and a LOT of road closures. But then it ended and they packed up their merch tents and left.

They had a truck giving out Palestinian flags.

If you have video of earlier when things where happening, please send.

  2. Please remind me again what was it the truckers did that the government of, for and by the people NEEDED the Emergency Act?

  3. From my relative:
… Saturdays AND Sundays disrupting church services. The police STAND BY AND DO NOTHING despite the LAWS AGAINST THIS BEHAVIOUR, unlike Toronto and Calgary, where arrests are made.

    This area is https://westmount-square.ca/

Could there be a business motive in potentially causing residents to leave and real estate to plummet in value? “Usfuel idiots” would, in that case, be an apt description.
