Reader’s Links for August 26th, 2025

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression. The Substack is a different project in a sense. It is older videos that in the light of subsequent events, look different or of increased importance, Check it out now and again if you like.

  1. Superintendent Sam has all the keys. You know him, he’s that guy who takes care of your building. He has a key ring hanging off his belt that weighs ten pounds. He has a key to every door in your building.

More often lately the topic of the cognitive dissonance of formerly-admired conservative opinion leaders comes up in conversation with a friend of mine. A prime example is Tucker Carlson. He recently did an interview with one of my personal favorites, Dave Collum. I know him for his very sharp economic analysis. In his interview with Carlson he slips into his position on Israel, the perpetrator of genocide. Hmm. Another one bites the dust, I guess. So what’s going on with the conservatives? Or is the issue my own deficiency to not see and accept what he sees?

Like I said, Superintendent Sam has all the keys. He’s the only one in the building who does, which makes him very special.

The information battlespace appears, to me, to now resemble Bezmenov’s “normalization” period. But in our more nuanced situation the new Soviets have not yet completely invaded and completely won. It is new turf for them, too, because they never expected as much success, so quickly, as they have attained. So the occupation of our minds continues with competing factions while the battlespace is not yet controlled by any one entity. This favors the new Soviets because destruction is the only function of their program. Divide and divide more. Note that countries with the greatest homogeneity have weathered this storm best.

You want to have every key to every room like our friend Sam? Good luck. Chase your economics, medicine, geopolitics, religion, geophysics–everything–and you still will be short a few “keys” in this house of chaos.

You can hear it in a guy like Dave Collum and many others. If your brilliant mind, for example, has not incorporated the real new Soviet (globalist) takeover you will never get where you’re going. You can bang on that climate-change door all day long, much to their satisfaction.

Then, if you have not digested a modicum of dialectics you will not understand the new Soviet no matter how much history you consume, or even if you originate from the Soviet Union. The dialectical machinery of that time and place was not tailored for this time and place. Much like AI, it evolves daily.

Some days my bandwidth for understanding seems much too limited. I just don’t have it in me. The next day I wake up, carry on, and break through. Intellectual honesty is the greatest defense we can hope for and this, itself, is hard-core judo.

Here, Ezra grapples with this very subject:

    • If you owe someone $10,000 and can’t pay you have a problem, if you owe someone $10,000,000 and can’t pay they have a problem.

Every person and government that holds any debt from any nation has a massive problem.

    • Don’t forget the rare earths mines and refineries that are starting in the US, the shortage will be temporary. Also the vast majority of China’s goods are sold in the US and if we stop buying their economy tanks worse then it is already tanking. The war isn’t as one sided as she thinks and it is likely to get much worse.

  2. Israel’s Growing Military Tech Savvy Gives It Leverage Abroad

Germany will begin training on Israel’s Arrow-3 missile defense system to prepare for the system’s arrival in the country later in the year.

Meanwhile, Germany voted at a recent EU gathering to help stall and then shelve possible sanctions against Israel over Gaza.

This highlights Israel’s growing global reach outside the U.S. through its advanced defense technology, now central to Europe’s security calculus.

Arrow-3 destroys warheads in space well before they start their final dive. Its first kill was a November 2023 interception of a Houthi ballistic missile headed for the Israeli city of Eilat.

During the 12-day war in June against Iran, Israeli Arrow-3 and Arrow-2 batteries worked with a U.S. THAAD battery to achieve an 86% intercept rate against Iranian ballistic missiles. Arrow interceptors handled 80% of the shots.

Germany also is negotiating with Israel for its silent underwater Blue Whale scout. Greece signed for its own Blue Whale purchase in May 2025.

European states are beginning to solidify a pattern of Israeli tech adoption. As its exports grow, so will Israel’s ability to remain independent of foreign political constraints.

  3. $1b Oron spy plane provides vital strategic advantage: New Israeli Spy Plane Improves Warnings on Iranian Missile and Drone Attacks

Israel’s new Oron reconnaissance aircraft has played a vital intelligence-gathering role since Oct. 7, 2023, and in particular during the Iran operation in June, by providing early warnings, and supporting the conduct of attacks in real time.

A U.S.-made Gulfstream executive jet was fitted with radars, cameras, and listening capabilities that give Israel a strategic advantage in real-time focused control and intelligence.

A substantial part of the improvement in Israeli warning on Iranian missile and drone attacks starting in April 2024 was due to Oron.

Oron carries dozens of computers and thousands of sensors. It can stay in the air for 10 hours in any weather, and operates on all fronts, including Iran, Yemen, and Gaza.

Oron has a fundamental advantage in its “stand-off” capability. It does not need to be very close to the target to produce results.

Australia Expels Iranian Ambassador after Iran Found to Direct Local Antisemitic Attacks

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Tuesday:
“Since the terrible events of October 7, 2023, we have witnessed a number of appalling antisemitic attacks against Australia’s Jewish community…. Credible intelligence has now been gathered to reach the deeply disturbing conclusion that the Iranian Government has directed at least two of these attacks.”

“ASIO [the Australian Security Intelligence Organization] assesses it was behind the attacks on Lewis’ Continental Kitchen in Sydney on Oct. 20, 2024, and the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne on Dec. 6, 2024. ASIO assesses it is likely Iran directed further attacks as well.…”

  5. ‘We are living in fear and anguish every day’: Palestinians fear a ‘new Nakba’ as Netanyahu plans occupation

Residents of Gaza City fear Netanyahu’s plans will lead to unprecedented carnage

Israel’s Security Cabinet has approved a plan to occupy Gaza City. According to Israel’s Channel 14, the plan will have three phases: first, allowing increased humanitarian aid to enter Gaza City, followed by the relocation of its residents to camps in the south of Gaza, and finally, a full blockade of the city, which will be placed under the control of the military.

Gaza residents anxiously keep up with the details of the planned takeover of the city. Some Palestinians are busy making their own plans. Waseem has already begun making arrangements for a shelter in southern Gaza, and is working around the clock to get it set up. “Israel is going ahead with its war plans for Gaza, and as the sole provider of a family of 13, I have to protect them,” he says.

Waseem has set up three tents on a plot of land in the south, with a separate toilet, a water tank, and some basic necessities. “I hesitated before making this decision, but I concluded in the end that complying with Israeli orders might save my family’s life,” he explains.

Netanyahu has set Oct. 7 as the deadline to evacuate Gaza City completely of its civilian residents. Tayseer says, “The army has set the deadline of Oct. 7 in the hope that it will make the people of Gaza forget the 2023 attacks, and that this will become the anniversary of our new Nakba, because it will take from us the whole of Gaza City.”

Ismail al-Thawabta, director of Hamas’s Government Media Office in Gaza, says, “Israel is trying to change the consciousness of Gazans by linking the occupation of Gaza with the anniversary of the [Oct. 7] ‘al-Aqsa Flood’ operation.”

Tayseer says the IDF is coming to destroy and level the place. He predicts, “We will have no street to walk on, and no building to defend,” imploring Hamas leaders to save Gaza before it is too late and announce the “zero hour” for exit.

  6. Viktor Orbán TORCHES Zelensky for Bombing ‘Druzhba’ (‘Friendship’) Pipeline and Threatening Hungary (VIDEOS)
    by Paul Serran Aug. 26, 2025 3:40 pm20 Comments

Orbán made it clear that Zelensky’s threats will not be forgiven or forgotten.

We have been reported how the repeated Ukrainian missile attacks on the Druzhba (meaning ‘friendship’) pipeline cut the flow of crude oil from Russia to both Hungary and Slovakia.

And what became an internet spat between the Hungarian and Ukrainian foreign ministers escalated now to a controversy between Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky and Hungarian President Viktor Orbán.

Long-time Trump ally, Orbán described it like this:

  7. …So I stuck out my thumb and decided to hitchhike. It was warm and sunny and I could go anywhere. Why not Berlin?

Within a half-hour a sky-blue convertible Porsche 911 pulled up. It was driven by beautiful blonde-haired woman. “Where are you headed?” she asked in her thick German accent. She was smoking a cigarette. Everything about her seemed to be just as free as me.
    “Berlin, I guess.”
She laughed a laugh both earnest and dark. “Do you know where you now are?”
“I am in Canada,” I answered, a little bit confused.
“Berlin is everywhere!” the woman said, laughing again as she threw her head back, hammering the throttle. The tires of her Porsche squeeled as she took off. “We are all Berliners!” she shouted as her car raced away.
