Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  1. This is the era of wack-a-mole freedom.

    Look that way and you see people getting de-banked for no justifiable cause other than neo-Marxist control. Looking in the same direction we see insurance-company overreach–charging us more if we refuse their intrusive habit-monitoring gizmos. Meanwhile on the road of our nascent 15-minute cities we see narrowing roads, more signs and barriers, more redundant bicycle paths, more traffic-calming lumps and bumps, and sky-high government-imposed taxes on fuel. All this without mentioning that the primary motive for government subsidies for electric vehicles may have been to keep us in these 15-minute cities all along. Range-challenged EVs will never provide the escape velocity of the good ‘ol internal combustion engine.

    Wack-a-mole freedom in the West also means being unable to protest against the insidious devaluation on the fiat currency we are supposed to keep in a bank that may de-bank us. Astronomical government debt incurred in the name of socialist nirvana and corruption means printing presses must continue to go “brrrrr”. Fiscal dominance is the fancy expression used to describe an economic scenario where, “…fiscal policy holds sway over monetary policy. Large government deficits and debts effectively set the terms for central bank action.” Translated: you’re bankrupt so you must print more money to pay the interest on the money you borrowed to print more money. It’s the debt-debt spiral.

    Central banks in their Keynesian glory are slow-motion socialists with communist outcomes. Impoverishing the population at the rate of currency debasement of two percent per year (stated inflation-control policy) means it takes 35 years to cut your wealth in half. With five percent inflation this process takes only 14 years. Larry Summers says we hade 18 percent inflation in 2022. That’s wack-a-mole-freedom money style.

    Down where boots are on the ground, wack-a-mole freedom in Canada means if you shoot an armed intruder who threatens your life you go to jail. In the U.S. you can still wack a mole if he comes at you with a knife, maybe:

  3. (Richard: Another targeted shooting in New York City, we are still discovering what happened and why it happened. As I am writing this a retired NY Police Inspector was talking and he is one of the few that is making sense. The shooter was from Vegas and had access to firearms there but as far as we know didn’t bring one with him, this means that he had some contacts where he could get a firearm. The fact that he choose a rifle and not a handgun may, I repeat may mean he was on a suicide mission and wanted to ensure heavy damage to the target. For once the police from New York are saying that the New York gun laws don’t stop the criminals from getting weapons.

    I don’t know it this is shooting has a political motive or not but this shooting matches the description of a targeted political assassination. It might not be that but we can’t rule it out, and we can’t count on the police and the media to report it if it does have a political motive.)

    Law enforcement urged people to stay away from the vicinity of East 52nd Street between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue on Monday evening due to an active shooter wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with a semiautomatic rifle.

    At least three people were injured, including an NYPD officer.

    The New York Post reports, “A crazed gunman wearing a bulletproof vest opened fire inside a swanky Midtown skyscraper that houses Blackstone and NFL headquarters Monday, injuring three people, including a cop — before turning the gun on himself, sources said.”

    The officer and at least one of the civilian victims are in critical condition. The suspect fatally shot himself, according to The Post.

    The Post reports:

    The suspect barricaded himself inside and was found dead from a gun-inflicted gunshot wound on the 33rd floor, sources said.

    A witness on the first floor said that “it sounded like a barrage of shots …Like an automatic weapon. Like a high-capacity weapon.”

    The officer was working at the building on a paid detail.

    An eyewitness reportedly told a citizen journalist at the scene that the suspect was shouting “Free Palestine” during the shooting, but The Gateway Pundit has not been able to independently confirm this detail.

    The NYPD had requested a “Level 3 Mobilization Response” as the situation unfolded.

    Photos and videos posted to social media showed officers with guns drawn entering the building at 345 Park Avenue. Pix 11 reports, “Multiple people were reportedly shot on the 32nd floor of the building, police say.”

    The initial shooting began on the street, but the suspect fled into the building, according to early reports.

    Fox 5 reports:

    A very heavy police presence was observed near 51st Street and Park Avenue. Witnesses, including a FOX 5 NY employee, reported hearing gunshots.

    NYPD and Sheriff’s Department officers in protective gear were seen with guns drawn.

    Video taken by a FOX 5 NY employee shows several officers carrying a person, and other officers appear to be tending to a person lying on the ground.

    “Due to police activity, please avoid the vicinity of East 52 Street between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue. Expect emergency vehicles & delays in the surrounding area,” the NYPD wrote in a post on X as the situation unfolded.

    New York has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation.

    • There are already calls for gun control and more police, since the gun control laws aren’t being enforced why don’t we try something different? Lets let the civilians who want own and carry firearms and let the building owners and the companies in the buildings provide armed guards for their people? I don’t think there would be anywhere the same number of mass shootings.

      I will repeat this post tomorrow, having listened to the FOX reports for several hours this is taking on the hallmarks of an ANTIFA terror attack, the shooter had mental problems but managed to carry out a sever attack then committed suicide. I haven’t heard about his social media accounts but the experts on FOX (at least the ones I trust, some of their experts aren’t experts at anything but BS) were already comparing this to the Vegas shooting and talking about how we still don’t know why that shooting occurred.

      The police kept referring to the weapon used as an M4 rifle, the gun control act of 1986 stopped new full auto weapons from being marketed to the public and the M4 is a selective fire weapon that goes full auto. The M4 is also a short barrelled rifle with a 14.5 inch barrel. The National Firearms Act of 1934 requires rifles with barrels less then 16 inches to be banned from public ownership unless you jump through a lot of government hoops. An M4 rifle would be illegal in civilian hands and the taking heads should have known this.

      I can say that having listened to the facts known at the time of the broadcast the man was cool and collected, he carried the rifle openly holding it down next to his leg. This is a surprisingly effective way to conceal a long arm since most people will quickly decide that they saw a cane or some similar object instead of a firearm. He then went into the building and proceeded to shoot the only armed guard in the building then went to the 33 or 44 floor and proceeded to shoot several more people. Having achieved his goal (supposedly, if he hadn’t why did he stop and kill himself?) he shot himself in the chest with his rifle. This is an unusual way to use a rifle to shoot yourself.

      It looks like this is going to be a busy year for the leftist terror masters.

      Things are going to get real interesting.
