Reader’s Links for July 21st, 2025

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression. The Substack is a different project in a sense. It is older videos that in the light of subsequent events, look different or of increased importance, Check it out now and again if you like.

  1. Suwayda’s Fiery but Mostly Peaceful “Ceasefire”

Footage coming out of the city of Suwayda this weekend shows large amounts of smoke and several raging gun battles occurring while the mainstream media touts the efficacy of the recent ceasefire that was declared on July 19th. A quick look at the Syria Live Map shows that there have been a number of gun battles across the city, and that the prisoner exchange the entire ceasefire was built on ultimately failed, resulting in renewed fighting in the region.
That said, a majority of the fighting in the area has been pushed to the northern part of the region, while the city itself has been relatively calm. As a result of the ceasefire, Israel was able to coordinate a large drop of medical equipment to the Suwayda hospital in conjunction with the United States. Israel plans to attempt another supply drop in the coming days should the conflict remain in the northern outskirts of the city.

    • The video clip of the four young guys forced to jump over their x-storey apartment balcony broke my heart. It was jump or splatter your blood on the spot. These four young Druze were very honorable.

  2. HMG Supports Islamist Attack in Syria

A heavy machine gun mounted in the bed of a technical vehicle fires in support of an infantry attack conducted by an Islamist militia against the hamlet of Al Arika, a suburb of Suwayda. The predominantly Druze population of this southern Syrian city has been under attack by government supported Islamist militias. Despite pledges by the Syrian regime of a cease fire and rumors that the government is withholding logistical support from the extremist bands, as well as Israeli airstrikes on groups attacking the city, violence continues.

  3. Kamikaze Drone in Syria
    https://funker530.com/video/kamikaze-drone-in-syria-
A Druze man inspects an unexploded Kamikaze drone which was launched at his group by an Islamist militia. Despite reports of a negotiated cease fire, violence continues, and the use of FPV drones indicates both preparation and escalation. The idea of warring factions across the globe bombarding each other with FPV drones is rather frightening.
