Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. I had to get to the local landfill site before it closes July 1, for good. After that the public will only be able to access privately-owned sites for dumping. One wonders to what extent our city, itself, will become a dump.

    I pulled up to the big bin. Another man was unloading his trailer. He was middle-aged, very lean, veiny arms, and groaned as he threw heavy pieces of a chopped-up wooden deck he had demolished into the bin.

    “Gotta do this before the place closes,” I said to him.
    “Closes? Whaddaya mean?” He stopped and stood up straight on the deck of his trailer.
    “No access for us after July 1. You didn’t get the notice? Only metal and electronic waste after that.”
    “What do I do then?”
    “We have to use one of the private dumps and probably pay a lot more,” I said.

    Maybe it’s because speaking to strangers is at times easier than someone you know. No history means no biases, no hidden grudges, no water under any bridge. Two ships passing leaves no trail to reckon with, no matter what is said.

    Or, maybe we speak more readily to the mirror, or someone who approximates ourselves. Another middle-aged white guy, in this case, will do. Suspected shared paths.

    Whatever the case, the man launched at this news of the dump closing.

    “The more I work and the more I make the less I keep. Every time I turn around it just gets harder. I’m just a sole proprietor. I’m 52-years old and I know I look younger, but I have bad arthritis and this work is killing me. I’m paying 600-dollars an hour for a divorce lawyer. I’m trying to hang on to my daughter. This fuckin’ government bringing in millions of people–what jobs can our kids get now? I work for rich people in Manotick. Now they’re buying their kids skid steers to do work because there’s nothing else for them.”

    I’ve learned to listen more when people fly off. I learn from it. Like just yesterday I had a telephone conversation with a man I’ve known for thirty years. He started up about how his wife has neurological problems since 2023. She can’t concentrate more than three hours a day. They both work in government. Doctors say it’s a problem brought on by menopause.

    The man at the dump railed on for almost a half hour. He must have needed it. Immigration, inflation, shitty health services–he pretty much covered the spectrum of common grudges. How much more until a man such as this, a man trying to hold his life together against increasingly-difficult odds, snaps? How many more white, mddle-aged men like this are out there? Who will they turn to when there is nobody to turn to?

    • Man on the street interviews usually tell us a lot more about what the public body as a whole are thinking then the polls. In this case we are seeing a melt down over governmental overreach in a nation suffering from Marxist infiltration of the major political parties.

      Good luck in the future the violence seen on the left coast is going to spread to all major cities on North America.

      If a number of such individuals direct that energy into collective self-defense – with sufficient self-control of mouth, of course – you’ve just found a path toward freedom.

      • Things like that are coming, all of the Western Nations are on a one way path to asymmetric civil war, the more I see from Canada and Britain they are closer to the war then we are but not by much. The assistant Mayor in California calling for the street gangs to attack the police are a sign on how close to civilization collapse and open war on the streets.

    The BBC has been reprimanded by the Government after it broadcast a rap group leading chants of “death to the IDF” on stage at Glastonbury on Saturday

    Lisa Nandy, the Culture Secretary, phoned Tim Davie, the BBC director-general, demanding that he explain why the performance by Bob Vylan, a rap duo, was shown live.

    A spokesman for Ms Nandy said: “We strongly condemn the threatening comments made by Bob Vylan at Glastonbury.

    President Trump appears to be ready to hit Israel directly where it hurts the most if leftist prosecutors do not leave Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alone.

    As The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported on Thursday, Trump erupted after learning Netanyahu had been summoned to Court next Monday for the continuation of a long-running legal witch-hunt.

    To make things more insulting, the Netanyahu announcement came 48 hours after Iran and Israel agreed to a ceasefire in their ongoing war. The Bibi-hating leftists did not even wait to give the prime minister time to catch his breath after one of the most consequential battles in Jewish history.

    As Trump noted, this is the first time a sitting Israeli Prime Minister has ever been on trial. This politically motivated case concerns ridiculous things like cigars and a Bugs Bunny doll.

    Trump went on to demand that the trial be cancelled immediately or a pardon given to Netanyahu. He did specify what consequences Israel would face if this travesty of justice continued, though.

    But in a new statement released on Truth Social Saturday night, Trump strongly implied that failure to drop this garbage case would result in the end of all U.S foreign aid to Israel.

    It is terrible what they are doing in Israel to Bibi Netanyahu. He is a War Hero, and a Prime Minister who did a fabulous job working with the United States to bring Great Success in getting rid of the dangerous Nuclear threat in Iran. Importantly, he is right now in the process of negotiating a Deal with Hamas, which will include getting the Hostages back.”

    How is it possible that the Prime Minister of Israel can be forced to sit in a Courtroom all day long, over NOTHING (Cigars, Bugs Bunny Doll, etc.)? It is a POLITICAL WITCH HUNT, very similar to the Witch Hunt that I was forced to endure. This travesty of “Justice” will interfere with both Iran and Hamas negotiations. In other words, it is INSANITY doing what the out-of-control prosecutors are doing to Bibi Netanyahu.

    The United States of America spends Billions of Dollars a year, far more than on any other Nation, protecting and supporting Israel. We are not going to stand for this. We just had a Great Victory with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu at the helm — And this greatly tarnishes our Victory. LET BIBI GO, HE’S GOT A BIG JOB TO DO!

    Right now, America currently forks over about $4 billion in military assistance to the Jewish State.

    This is more foreign aid than almost any other country on Earth receives from the U.S.

    If nothing else gets Israel’s attention, hitting them in the wallet certainly will. And no one should think for a moment that Trump is bluffing.

      The expression “Trump Derangement Syndrome”? The derivation says a lot.

      “BDS” – Boycott, Divest, Sanctions – refers to the devastating knot-see weapon used against German joooz in the 1930s. Dehumanize them, exclude them, eliminate them. We know its provenance, we’ve seen it used to destroy apartheid South Africa. It’s much sought by those who seek to emulate their monstrous forbears and eliminate the one jooo-ish state.

      To the enemy within Is-real that phrase sounded so cute, they came up with “Bibi-Derangement-Syndrome”. Stalinist humor. Make the State a pariah, make your political enemy the most sinister threat to sanity. Then, anything goes.

      • It is common for the military to dehumanize its opponents so the troops won’t have problems with killing them, the left works against this by saying we can’t call them anything but citizens of another nation. It was easier to kill Krauts then Germans. This is one reason we have more PTSD now then in earlier times.

        Yes the tactics are straight out of Nazi Germany and the early Soviet Union, we can expect to see a lot more of them along with more efforts to dehumanize everyone that opposes the left. We do the same thing when we refer to the left as Alpha Hotels and other nasty names instead of their names. It is going to get wild and we need to get ready, mentally as well as physically.

          It also helps explain why so many Brits are Russophobes.

          In the UK now they’re using the *exact same* caricatures for contemporary conflict as they used during the Crimean War. That was the first war in which newspaper propaganda was important, after the population had become widely literate. But there’s a problem: How do you de-monsterize?

          People deeply invested in Cold War thinking see the 1000-year history of Russia through the lens of the 100-years of the USSR. Obviously the Soviets warped their own history for their own purposes, but Western Sovietologists are just as fixed in their own conception.

    The new face of the Democratic Party may find himself in serious trouble with President Trump’s Administration should he proceed with an overtly racist housing plan in the name of equity.

    As The Gateway Pundit reported, Muslim communist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani plans to fund his radical transformation of the city if he is elected: he will hike property taxes for “richer and whiter neighborhoods.”

    The policy memo, ‘Stop the Squeeze on NYC Homeowners,’ promises to address a “deeply inequitable system, using the full power of the mayor’s office to both address the system directly and working with legislators at the state level to win necessary reforms” by “shift[ing] the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods.”

    If one were to substitute the word “whiter” for “blacker,” the response from the left and media would deservedly be brutal. But in today’s Democratic Party, anti-white bigotry is not only tolerated but encouraged.

    Moreover, this racist policy would fund several key policies of his, such as $65 million in taxpayer money on ‘gender affirming care’, including for minors.

    This isn’t “progressivism.” It’s straight-up communism.

    Fortunately, the Trump Department of Justice is paying attention and ready to take action should Mamdani follow through, assuming he wins the general election (which is highly likely).

    Via conservative activist Benny Johnson, DOJ Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon responded to this cruel plan by warning Mamdani that what he is doing would violate not only federal law but likely New York law as well.

    “Racial discrimination is illegal in the United States – period, Full stop!” Dhillon said.

    “The illegal discriminatory scheme described by Mamdani would violate federal constitutional and statutory norms, and might even violate New York law,” she added.

    Considering the way the Trump Administration has already cracked down on Democrats breaking federal law, one would not be surprised to see Mamdani in handcuffs should he attempt to punish white homeowners.

    If one thought seeing Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) get arrested created a scene and national uproar, just imagine the reaction if the mayor of America’s most famous city ends up doing the perp walk.

    Protesters gathered in Florida Saturday to denounce the state starting construction this week on a DHS funded project to house illegal aliens at a remote airstrip in the Everglades dubbed, “Alligator Alcatraz,” an aborted airport site built in the 1960s that is usually used for training, formally known as the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport.

    Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced earlier this week the site would largely be funded by FEMA money the Biden administration used to put up illegal aliens in hotels. The site could be ready for the first illegals as early as this Tuesday. Plans are for up to 5,000 to be held there.

    Notably, out of respect for Florida’s laws on blocking roads, the protesters did not try to stop the construction vehicles.

    Excerpt from AP report on a lawsuit filed by environmental groups on Friday to stop Alligator Alcatraz:

    Environmental groups filed a federal lawsuit Friday to block a migrant detention center dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz” now being built on an airstrip in the heart of the Florida Everglades.

    The lawsuit seeks to halt the project until it undergoes a stringent environmental review as required by federal and state law. There is also supposed to be a chance for public comment, according to the lawsuit filed in Miami federal court.

    Critics have condemned the facility as a cruel and inhumane threat to the ecologically sensitive wetlands, while Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and other state officials have defended it as part of the state’s aggressive push to support President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

    The center is set to begin processing people who entered the U.S. illegally as soon as next week, DeSantis said Friday on “Fox and Friends.”

    DHS Secretary Kristi Noem posted about her appearance Friday night on Jesse Watters Primetime to talk about Alligator Alcatraz, “Alligator Alcatraz, and other facilities like it, will give us the capability to lock up some of the worst scumbags who entered our country under the previous administration.     Trump is shining the light on Britain’s darkness.

    While deep, dark clouds are covering the leftist Labour-governed United Kingdom, it warms the heart to know that the US administration of Donald J. Trump is still engaged in advocating for the sanctity of life.

    In a very welcome move, the White House has launched a blistering attack on Britain’s Government over their support for ‘assisted dying legislation’, with the US state department calling it by its real name of ‘state-sponsored suicide’.

    After approving late-term abortions up until birth and assisted suicide in the same week, the dark British leftists were surprised by the criticism by Trump’s team.

    “The Commons voted 314 to 291 last week to support Kim Leadbeater’s Private Member’s Bill, a majority of 23, setting the stage for assisted dying services to potentially begin by decade’s end.”

    The Trump administration has shone the light on several UK domestic matters, starting with their growing threats to free speech.
    The very unpopular PM Starmer is implementing dark policies that were NOT disclosed to the voters before the election.

    Keir Starmer, who voted for the legislation, is intent on ensuring its implementation.

    “’It is my responsibility to make sure the Bill is workable, and that means workable in all its aspects. I’m confident we’ve done that preparation’, the Prime Minister said during his trip to The Hague.”
