Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    The suspect in the rampage shootings of Minnesota Democrat State Sen. John Hoffman and State Rep. Melissa Hortman and their spouses was an appointee of Democrat Governor Tim Walz, according to reports.

    Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announced Saturday morning that state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband did not survive the attack at their home, which took place after 2 a.m. on Saturday. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife are alive after the attack at their home, but wounded.

    The Democrat governor called the assassinations and attempts acts of “targeted political violence.”

    On Saturday afternoon, The Blaze correspondent Julio Rosas reported, “I’m told by a police source in Minnesota the suspect in the shootings of MN state lawmakers is Vance Luther Boelter.” The identity of the suspect was confirmed by the New York Post and multiple other outlets.

    Boelter, 57, was appointed by Walz in 2019 to serve on the Governor’s Workforce Development Board, but also leads an international security firm.

    “It appears it is the same Boelter who was appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in 2019 by Gov. Tim Walz. He appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Council in 2016 by then-Gov. Mark Dayton,” Rosas continued.

    His wife also appears to have interned for Gov. Walz directly in 2010; however, The Gateway Pundit has not been able to confirm this relationship independently.

    It has been reported that the suspect was dressed up as a police officer when he went to the lawmaker’s homes and shot the two couples. Boelter is the Director of Security Patrols at Praetoria Security, a security firm in the state.

    The firm’s website features staff dressed in uniforms that closely resemble those of law enforcement.

    A biography of Boelter on the Praetoria website states:

He brings a great security aspect forged by both many on the ground experiences combined with training by both private security firms and by people in the U.S. Military. Vance has focused all this experience to make sure Praetorian Guard Security Services covers the needs you have to keep your family and property safe.

    Boelter’s LinkedIn also lists him as the CEO of Red Lion Group.

    The shooter’s car was littered with fliers printed with “No Kings,” a direct nod to the unhinged protests planned against President Donald Trump’s administration. A manifesto was also located, containing a list of other politicians.

    A manhunt for Boelter is currently underway.

    • We need more info about what happened, among the things we need to know are how did the police arrive at the scene of the second shooting as the shooter was coming out of the house?

      The more I learn about the shooting the more questions I have including was the shooter set up to do the shooting and was he suppose to die in the gun fight with the police?

    A leaked Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo eerily foreshadowed the type of violent attacks that culminated in the tragic rampage shootings of Minnesota Democrats State Sen. John Hoffman and State Rep. Melissa Hortman, as well as their spouses.

    Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announced Saturday morning that state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband did not survive the attack at their home. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife are alive, but wounded.

    The politicians were shot in their homes overnight in two separate attacks by a suspect who may have been impersonating a police officer. Gov. Walz said the attacks are believed to be “politically motivated” assassinations.

    At the time of writing, no suspects have been named or arrested.

    The document, obtained by ABC News last year and republished in the wake of the shootings by Mediaite, reveals DHS concerns about rising domestic threats, specifically highlighting the potential for lone-wolf attacks targeting law enforcement and civilians at their homes in politically charged environments.

    ABC News reported at the time:

    A concerning “recent uptick” in personal residences targeted has left well-known people in both the public and private sector, their families and their staff “vulnerable to attack” in their own homes – and comes at a moment already marked by historic partisan tensions and volatility, analysts at the Department of Homeland Security said in a briefing memo issued on March 11.

    The confidential memo, obtained by ABC News, details how threat actors, espousing a range of ideologies and promoting these attacks online, have moved beyond more traditional targets to those with less robust security measures – like home addresses. The pivot has posed “multiple challenges” for law enforcement working to detect and disrupt insidious plots.

    “The threat to high-profile public and private sector officials and their families and staff has likely increased, judging from a recent uptick in online messaging promoting attacks at their homes, doxing and swatting incidents, and several notable attacks,” the bulletin warned. “Recent attacks at private residences have occurred during a period of overall increased political polarization, target hardening of more traditional attack locations, and the prevalence of conspiracy theories targeting industry and government officials.”

    Private homes “lack” more “robust security measures” deployed where high-profile officials have typically been targeted “like government buildings and corporate offices,” the memo said – and with personal information exponentially available on the internet, the threat grows more complex, even as social media provides a platform for extremist thought.

    And while “traditional targets” have hardened troubleshooting security measures, the memo said, that “probably drives potential attackers to prioritize private residences,” perceived as “accessible with limited obstacles.”

    Legislators in the area have been urged to take extra safety precautions as the manhunt continues.

    Two Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party lawmakers and their spouses were shot in ‘targeted’ attacks at their homes early Saturday by a man dressed as a police officer, according to reports. (A later report stated a second suspect was involved.)

    Gov. Tim Walz (D) has activated State Emergency Operations Center while authorities are warning residents in the two close-by towns where the shootings occurred, Champlin and Brooklyn Park, to shelter in place.

    KSTP-TV reporter John Hauser: “BREAKING: Multiple sources tell 5 Eyewitness News at least two MN state lawmakers were shot at their homes last night by a gunman impersonating a police officer. DFL Speaker Emerita Melissa Hoffman in Brooklyn Park and DFL Sen. John Hoffman in Champlin. Working on more details.”

    Excerpt from KMSP-TV report:

    Police say they are looking for a suspect in multiple targeted shootings. The suspect is armed and dangerous. The suspect is a white man with brown hair wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants and he may be impersonating law enforcement.

    Authorities say there were two suspects involved in the shooting. One suspect is in custody after an officer-involved shooting in Brooklyn Park.

    Two state lawmakers were shot in an apparent “targeted” incident on Saturday, officials said. Their conditions are grave.

    A source familiar with the matter tells ABC News that two of those shot are state Sen. John Hoffman of Champlin and state Rep. Melissa Hortman of Brooklyn Park. Both were shot at their homes, and authorities believe the shooter was impersonating law enforcement, the source says.

    The alleged gunman in the deadly shooting targeting two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses had a manifesto that listed “many lawmakers and other officials” in his car, according to police. The suspect is on the run on foot.

    UPDATE: A photo was released showing ‘No Kings’ flyers on the seat of the alleged gunman’s car (Photo at end of article.) Police are asking that the statewide No Kings protests against President Trump scheduled for today be cancelled.

    Speaker Emerita Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were killed in a shooting in their home in Brooklyn early Saturday by a suspect impersonating a police officer. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were shot and wounded in their homes Champlin in a similar attack. The shooting scenes are about eight miles apart.

    A far-left anarchist website has published a seven-step tactical guide to “stop ICE” and “create no-go zones for federal forces.”

    The website, CrimethInc., is a shadowy, anonymous, anarchist collective born in the 1990s punk scene, which pushes an anti-capitalist, anti-cop, and anti-American agenda.

    The website glorifies “direct action,” riots, looting, shoplifting, and black bloc tactics.

    On Friday, CrimethInc. posted a guide on how to stop ICE apprehensions of illegal aliens.

    The anarchist group is encouraging the formation of “tight-knit resistance groups” to map ICE’s infrastructure, publicize its vulnerabilities, and impose “consequences” on communities cooperating with federal agents. They advocate setting up rapid response networks to spread verified reports of ICE activity, pressuring local politicians to obstruct immigration enforcement, and fostering a “culture of resistance” that could easily spiral into violence.

    The guide read as follows:

    1) Form resistance groups.
    Form tight-knit groups to play roles in the resistance. You and your friends may already form the core of such a group. You could focus on communications, intelligence gathering, fundraising, or some other task. Meet with others you trust and start making plans. Foster ties between different groups and demographics. Like an iceberg, the majority of your connections should be deep below the surface.

    2) Establish community assemblies.
    Bring together formal groups, community networks, and other concerned individuals to share information, coordinate campaigns, interchange resources, and strategize together. Build the foundations for enduring trust and long-term coordination.

    3) Build a communications system.
    Set up a rapid response network capable of verifying reports and spreading information immediately to large numbers of people about the operations of ICE and other federal mercenaries in your community.

    4) Strategize and set a combative example.
    Map the infrastructure and support institutions that ICE depends on. Publicize their vulnerabilities. Popularize simple, reproducible ways to impose consequences every time that ICE inflicts harm on a community. Rather than only reacting in a way that permits them to set the terms of each encounter, aim to choose the time and place of confrontations.

    5) Compel local politicians to break off cooperation with federal authorities.
    So far, non-cooperation with ICE has been performative at best. Pressure local politicians, public institutions, and other influential groups to concretely oppose ICE operations rather than simply standing aside. The consequences of cooperating with ICE, whether actively or passively, must be worse than the consequences of not doing so.

    6) Create no-go zones for federal forces.
    If ICE agents hesitate to enter certain areas without backing from police, National Guard, and Marines, that will limit their operations. The more resources they have to commit to every raid, the fewer attacks they will be able to carry out and the more expensive their power grab will be.

    7) Create mutual aid networks.
    Support those who have lost family members to ICE abductions. Create collective habits of care to sustain each other through the crises ahead.

    This isn’t just a protest guide; it’s a blatant call to disrupt law enforcement, destabilize our borders, and erode the rule of law.

    Following his bail hearing Friday afternoon, Joseph Amr Khairy Abdalla was ordered held for an inpatient examination to test his competency.

    Also, according to a letter from the school administration posted on Facebook, Abdalla was employed at the Lower School, where the incident took place. He teaches an after-school karate program.

    The man with the knife who was arrested at the Jewish school had an odd reddit post, apparently from his business account. The post called non-Muslims Satanists, specifically referring to a married couple who he says are his relatives and who have an organization that “pretends” to be Moslem.

    If you search on the organization and on the names in his post, you will find that these all exist. The organization is not as relevant as is the reaction of Mr. Abdalla who calls it Satanist and “masquerading” as Moslem because of its logo.

    No one at the school nor any of the parents thought to look at the business posts from a teacher and ask him to clarify his intent?

    Maybe the not-a-hate-crime reports agree with Mr. Abdalla’s characterizations of Jaagorons (and others?) as Satanists?
