Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. If this isn’t the civil unrest Richard has been expecting for a long time I don’t know what is:

    • It sure looks like the left is starting an insurrection, the question is will it spread or will President Trump be able to stop it early? It’s too early to tell which way it will go.

    • One reason the Dems have spent so much time trying to get us to send troops to Ukraine is their desire to redo the war protests of the 60s and 70s. Without a shooting war to protest against the rioters are stuck without a popular cause.

    • They are spreading both inside California and to other states, we can expect the riots to last all summer and in the warmer states possibly over winter. It will be interesting to see if there are protests that turn into a riot in DC at the parade to celebrate the 250th birthday of the US Army.

      One group involved with the protests last week that eventually evolved into riots over the weekend is the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) — a Marxist group with reported ties to the Chinese Communist Party. That group has also helped organize the anti-Israel protests recently ravaging college campuses.

      PSL said that the demonstrators have “taken a courageous stand against Trump’s reign of terror targeting immigrant families” and that those “taking to the streets” are being falsely labeled as “rioters.”

      “But the people are not deterred – in Los Angeles and across the country, protest is continuing with even more determination,” the group wrote in a post to Instagram. “This could be a turning point where the entire working class unites to push back Trump’s efforts to shred our basic rights and dignity.”

      The PSL is part of a larger network of protest and organizing groups which have connections to the Singham Network, a collective of nonprofits, fiscal sponsors, and alternative news sources tied to pro-CCP businessman Neville Roy Singham, Just the News previously reported.

      Singham lives in Shanghai and is identified as a “conduit for CCP geopolitical influence,” according to a report from the Network Contagion Research Institute—a research institute that monitors “cyber-social threats.” The group found that PSL was involved in the Shut It Down for Palestine (SID4P) protest movement, started by the New York-based The People’s Forum—a group funded by Singham.

      According to a profile of Singham by The Free Press, the financier’s wealth came from his software consulting company, Thoughtworks, which he sold in 2017 to Apax Partners for $785 million. The New York Post reported that Singham poured the fortune he made off the sale of his software company into at least a dozen nonprofits, including the communist People’s Forum in Midtown Manhattan.

      Singham has a radical Marxist past that eventually grew into an admiration for China and its socialist system. Singham married Jodie Evans, the co-founder of the radical left-wing group Code Pink, in 2017. The antiwar group has become increasingly pro-China in recent years. Singham now lives in Shanghai, China, where he backs or promotes several pro-China news outlets, such as the India-based website Newsclick, The Free Press found.

Ontario’s top court has ruled the province must cover the cost of the out-of-country, penis-sparing vaginoplasty for a “transgender and non-binary resident” who wishes to have both female and male genitalia. The unique “dual genitalia” surgery is set to take place at a Texas clinic and is expected to cost taxpayers up to $100,000.

    Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass issued a threat to the feds as National Guard Troops were deployed to quell the riots.

    Bass warned the feds that the violent riots won’t stop unless the National Guard is withdrawn from Los Angeles.

    President Trump deputized 4,000 California National Guard Troops and deployed 700 US Marines to downtown Los Angeles after LAPD got overwhelmed by the violent anti-ICE rioters.

    California’s Democrat Governor Newsom and failed Democrat LA Mayor Karen Bass blamed the feds for the violence.

    Mayor Bass said the violence won’t stop until the feds withdraw from Los Angeles.

    White House Advisor Stephen Miller called out Karen Bass for her “explicit” threat.

    “The threat being made here by Mayor Bass is explicit. The Mayor of LA is effectively saying the mob violence is caused by the mere presence of ICE in the city and the violence against ICE will not stop unless federal law enforcement is withdrawn from the city. This is the definition of insurrection. LA and CA leadership demand the right to illegally import unlimited foreigners into America, to control America’s entire immigration policy by fiat — and if they are not so permitted they will allow mobs to target ICE with impunity,” Stephen Miller said.

    “Los Angeles and California are demanding the nullification of the election results, of federal law, of national sovereignty, and of the bedrock constitutional command of one national government,” Miller said.

    President Trump doubled down on Tuesday and said he will certainly invoke the insurrection act if the rioting escalates.

    President Trump also posted the threat to his Truth Social.

    “If there’s an insurrection, I would certainly invoke it…If we didn’t get involved, right now Los Angeles would be burning just like it was burning a number of months ago…We are not playing around…” Trump said to reporters in the Oval Office.

    Sa’ad bin Atef al-Awlaki, the newly anointed leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), has issued a chilling call to arms targeting the President of the United States, Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other top administration officials, including Elon Musk and Cabinet members.

    The Islamic terrorist, already wanted by the U.S. government with a $6 million bounty on his head, released a 34-minute video on Sunday, filled with explicit threats and calls for bloodshed inside the United States, the New York Post reported.

    Al-Awlaki, speaking in Arabic but quickly translated and circulated on social media, issued a direct incitement to domestic terror by calling on the estimated 4.5 million Muslims living in America to carry out lone wolf-style assassinations in the name of “revenge.”

    Al-Awlaki: As a first practical and immediate measure, I call upon every Muslim in the infidel, criminal, and arrogant United States. It does not matter if they are of Arab, American, or other descent—what matters is that they are Muslim, and their prophet is Mohammed.

    There are 4.5 million Muslims in America alone. I am saying to all of them: Revenge! Revenge! Do not consult anyone about killing infidel Americans. You should have a lot of determination, and the list of your targets should be effective.

    Go after the scum of the Earth and its greatest criminals. This is Trump and his VP. This is Elon Musk and his advisors, or any supporter in terms of finance, administration, and technology. These include his Secretary of State and his Secretary of Defense.

    Go after their families and all those who have any ties to, or are close to, the politicians of the White House.

    Elsewhere, al-Awlaki — for whom the US State Department has issued a $6 million bounty — praised suspects who have carried out a spate of recent antisemitic terror attacks, as well as those behind the prior assassination attempts on Trump.

    In the 34-minute video — titled “Inciting the Believers” — the terror leader also called for “strikes” on all Jews.

    “Do not leave a single safe place for Jews — just as they have not left any homes, shelters, or respite for the Palestinians,” he said.

    “Even hospitals are being bombed over the heads of the sick and wounded, and the heads of the women, children and the elderly. Take revenge.”

    AQAP has long been designated a foreign terrorist group by the US.

    From Crime Scene to Newsroom: How Physical Evidence in the Butler, PA Assassination Attempt on Crooks Got Lost

    The New York Times has produced an investigative article on the alleged would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks that seems so contrived that it leaves the reader wondering what has happened to the talent at the once respected “Gray Lady.”

    First, contrary to what the Times has written, the public has not been provided with a final report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) which, if handled correctly, would include Crooks’ autopsy, ballistics reports, Fingerprint and DNA information. Throughout the article, the Times repeatedly states that Crooks was the shooter. The Times has no physical evidence to support that statement…or has not provided that physical evidence in the article.

    The “investigative” piece is chock full of he-said she-said anecdotes that seem contradictory at best. For example, the article explains that “much of the world has forgotten about the 20-year-old who set out to murder him.” No. That’s an inaccurate assumption. Many are interested in the Butler shooting incident. It’s the FBI that has seemingly decided to put its investigation into the assassination attempt on the back burner.

    Without the FBI’s report, it becomes difficult to write about an investigation that has never been completed. And, those investigations that have been completed, like the Pennsylvania State Police report, are classified. Even the Congressional Task Force refused to release important physical evidence, making its investigation irrelevant.

    People are interested in knowing whether Crooks is the shooter and that can only be verified by the release of physical evidence. In the meantime, the Times has provided some known and unknown anecdotes about Crooks’s short life. Of Crooks’s mental health the Times writes “all while showing hints of a mental illness that may have caused his mind to unravel to an extent not previously reported.” It continues, “the New York Times examination of the last years of the young man’s life found that he went through a gradual and largely hidden transformation.” Really? What’s the evidence?

    Well, the Times reports “his father noticed his mental health declining in the year before the shooting, and particularly in the months after graduation. He later told investigators that he had seen his son talking to himself and dancing around his bedroom late at night, and his family had a history of mental health and addiction…”

    So, the father, who is a mental health specialist, had access to his son’s room, apparently the door was open and noticed his son’s odd behavior and said and did nothing? The father noticed this odd behavior in the same bedroom where Crooks was allegedly building homemade bombs? The father noticed odd behavior but still had no problem giving his son an AR-15? C’mon, what part of these reflections don’t pass the smell test? And this information was provided to the Times by the Pennsylvania State police. Why is this State Police investigation not made public but, rather, providing “parts” to select news organizations?

    However, as if to give the mental health problem more credence, the Times quotes Congressman Clay Higgins of the Congressional Task Force, explaining “he learned worrisome information about Mr. Crook’s mental health while investigating the case on a trip to Pennsylvania.” Apparently, Higgins was told Crooks “Was having conversations with someone that wasn’t there,” adding “many questions remained unanswered.” According to Higgins “there was a mysteriousness to Thomas Crooks’s descent into madness.” The Times doesn’t tell the readers what was mysterious. Did the reporters even bother to ask the Congressman?

    But Crooks reportedly was close to his family. According to the Times Crooks made a 2022 video for a class at school where he described preparing Thanksgiving turkey with his father and baking Christmas cookies with his mother saying, “I don’t think there’s any better way to spend time with family than cooking meals together.” This doesn’t sound like there’s a mental health issue but, a year later, Crooks is reported to have spent Christmas morning at the Clairton Sportsmen’s Club. Where’d Crooks get the gun to shoot at the club? Did dad give Thomas the gun? Did anyone bother to ask? The Times makes no mention.

    Even more odd is the Times reporting that Crooks spent time on the internet searching “seven gun sites, including one focused on the AR-15, similar to the rifle he would use in the attack.” Really? Crooks had apparently been shooting that weapon at the gun club for months. Why would he be focused on it on the internet? In fact, Crooks’s father sold him that weapon months before the shooting. Given the amount of time Crooks had practicing with the AR-15 it seems odd that he’d need to research anything about gun.

    Apparently, the father, who reportedly gave the AR-15-like gun to his son on the day of the shooting, was concerned about his whereabouts. According to the Times, “shortly before 11p.m. on the night of the shooting, Mr. Crook’s father called 911, saying he had not seen his son since that afternoon.” The 911 call is recounted: “we’ve gotten no contact from him, no text messages, nothing’s been returned, and he’s not home yet,” Crooks tells the operator. Crooks further explains “that’s totally not like him…so we’re kind of worried, not really sure what we should do.”

    Does anyone find this contact bizarre? First, Thomas Matthew Crooks is 22 years old, a man that attends college, has a job and has been shooting at the gun range every week for a year, including Christmas day. But on this day, dad is suddenly concerned? What is concerning is the way this conversation is happening. Did dad call the gun range to find out what time his son made it to the range? Did dad try calling the son’s mobile phone and how many times? Why isn’t this information part of the 911 call? Something along the lines of “hey, we’ve repeatedly called and texted our son on his mobile and he’s not responding.” Instead, it’s this weird “we’ve gotten no contact from him” and “nothing’s been returned.” Does the father mean the gun hasn’t been returned or his phone calls and texts to his son haven’t been returned? Did the 911 operator just decide not to ask if the family had tried to call or text their son’s mobile? Something along the lines of “when did you try to contact your son?” Better still, why isn’t the Times asking for proof the father tried calling his son that day? You know something along the lines of getting the father’s phone record for that day. Crickets.

    But one must wonder what exactly the relationship was between the son and his family. According to the Times, the parents advised that Crooks “loved building things, like computers, and visiting the gun range.” And we know that Crooks loved cooking with his family, but when asked, the father said he “didn’t know anything” about his son. Of course this isn’t true. After all, father Crooks knew his son well enough to reportedly sell him an AR-15 like weapon.

    It’s interesting that while Americans still await the release of the FBI’s completed investigation into the Butler, PA shooting, respected news organizations put out articles making unsubstantiated statements like Crooks “mounted a roof at a presidential campaign rally in western Pennsylvania and tried to assassinate Donald J. Trump.”

    To date, no physical evidence (DNA or fingerprints on alleged weapon, autopsy, ballistics report) has been made public that confirms that statement. The wife of Corey Comperatore, who was killed by the would-be assassin, is not satisfied with the investigation reportedly saying, “I am praying the president gets to the bottom of it and keeps working on this case for me – and him.”

    Many Americans want this incident closed based on physical evidence, not confusing anecdotes and wishful thinking. But, given the recent statements from the FBI’s second in command, Dan Bongino, one cannot help but wonder if there will ever be an investigation made public. Bongino suggested during a Fox news segment that there was no “big, explosive there there.” And he added, “if it was there, we would have told you.” To Bongino, most Americans might respond “just make the investigation, with all the physical evidence, public and we’ll decide if there is a “there there.”

  8. Dead Body Found on Los Angeles Sidewalk After Violent Anti-ICE Riot Chaos and Looting

    A man’s dead body has been discovered on a Los Angeles sidewalk near where violent anti-ICE rioters were looting on Monday night.

    The unresponsive man, who has not been publicly identified, was discovered around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, near the corner of West 3rd Street and Broadway.

    Police were called to the scene, where a T-Mobile store at the same intersection had just been looted.

    KTLA reports:

    Video showed investigators at the scene standing next to the man, who was lying on his back wearing a red sweatshirt.

    A canopy was brought to the scene to cover the unidentified man as the investigation continued.

    The spokesperson said the cause of death was under investigation.

    The Los Angeles Police Department has not confirmed if the man’s death was related to the riots at this time.

    The riots, sparked by ICE raids starting June 6, have entered their fifth day.

    Over 150 rioters have been arrested. At least five LAPD officers and six California Highway Patrol officers have been injured.

    In an attempt to stop the chaos, President Donald Trump deployed 2,000 National Guard troops to the area on June 7, followed by an additional 2,000 and 700 Marines two days later.

    ICE has made 118 arrests as the riots continue.

    The woke children of a high-ranking Los Angeles official have been busted for reportedly attacking a police officer during the ongoing violent demonstrations in the city.

    As The New York Post reported, Rick Cole, the chief deputy controller of LA, revealed that his twin 26-year-old daughters, Lucia Aguilar and Antonia, were taken into custody by enforcement Sunday night during a rally outside a hotel in Pasadena, where he once served as mayor.

    “I’ve just seen pictures of my two daughters on a curb in downtown Los Angeles in handcuffs. So I’m going to be figuring out where they are so I can go bail them out,” Cole told agitators.

    “This (ICE raid) is personal for me and for my family,” Cole added. “It’s also personal for the Mayor (Victor Gordo). When he was growing up, he had a coffee can on the kitchen table with money—in case his dad did not come home from work.

    “So, this is personal for Pasadena, because these are our neighbors. This is our family. These are the workers. These are Pasadenans. And we’re going to protect them.”

    The Daily Mail reviewed LA Sheriff’s Department records, which show that Lucia Aguilar and Antonia were taken into custody at roughly 7 p.m. Pacific Time Sunday. They were arrested during a riot where protesters launched a variety of dangerous weapons at police, including rocks.

    Both are being accused of assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon, according to multiple reports. It remains unclear what deadly weapon the twins allegedly used, however.

    The Daily Mail notes that Lucia, who uses “they/them” pronouns, is a staffer for far-left LA City Council member Ysabel Jurado, who was caught in October 2024 saying, “What’s the rap verse? F**k the police, that’s how I see them,” in response to a question about abolishing cops.

    Jurado said on Monday that Lucia Aguilar had been put on unpaid leave.

    “The allegations are deeply concerning and I take them very seriously,” the councilwoman stated.

    “While I respect the individual’s right to due process, I hold my team to the highest standards of conduct.”

    The twins were in the 77th Street jail and held on $50,000 bail as of Monday. One would assume their powerful father will soon bail them out, though.

    They both face possibly up to five years in prison.

      California Governor Gavin Newsom was left red-faced on Tuesday after calling President Trump a liar when Trump dropped a damning receipt exposing the truth.

      As TGP readers know, Newsom has spent the last few days posting on X and trash-talking the Trump Administration instead of performing his sworn duty to protect his constituents from violent insurrectionists destroying the Golden State’s largest city. Newsom’s dereliction of duty has been so glaring that Trump has said that he should be arrested.

      This has caused many to wonder how much, if any, contact the two men have had since the riots started. A reporter asked Trump about this in the Oval Office on Tuesday.

      “When was the last time you spoke with Governor Newsom?” the reporter inquired.

      “Mmm, a day ago,” Trump answered. “Called him up to tell him, got to do a better job, he’s doing a bad job. Causing a lot of death and potential death.”

      “If we didn’t send out the National Guard…Los Angeles would be burning right now,” he added.

      Upon seeing this, Newsom took to X and straight-up called Trump a liar.

      “There was no call, not even a voicemail,” Newsom wrote.

      Unsurprisingly, Trump did not take kindly to having his integrity questioned by arguably the nation’s worst and most dishonest governor. He contacted Fox News’s John Roberts and revealed details of his conversation with Newsom.

      Roberts proceeded to relay Trump’s message in a tweet.

      “President Trump just contacted me from Air Force 1 to say this:”First call was not picked up. Second call, Gavin picked up, we spoke for 16 minutes. I told him to, essentially, “get his ass in gear,” and stop the Riots, which were out of control,” Roberts wrote.

      “More than anything else, this shows what a liar he is – Said I never called. Here is the evidence.”

      Roberts then shared the call log, proving Trump and Newsom had made contact. Remember, Newsom said he never spoke to Trump at all, so this proves that the California governor is the real liar.

    At some point in the not to distant future the British Jewish community will no longer exist as it does today.

    I just want @bbcnews @SkyNews journos to know that when the history is written – all their names will be on the charge sheet.

    Instead of using their influence to tell the truth – or professionally calm the waters stirred by others – these people have spent the last 19 months openly promoting Hamas propaganda.

    Their anti-Israel obsessions and demonising lies have helped antisemitism to spread throughout the UK, an action that will lead to the end of British Jewry as we know it.

    So they may be smug, entitled, supremacists today, and they may think they are untouchable – but their actions will have consequences – and those consequences will catch up with them.

      • Well, here that’s been the pretext from the beginning. Started at Harvard while the 10/7 bodies were still warm in Israel. It’s pretty clear that an organized op was already in place long before the attack.
