Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

Victor Davis Hanson has written about the ways in which this group of people supports a wannabe upper class with a lifestyle that includes nannies, food servers, maids, car washers, and inexpensive handpicked foods.

Social justice warriors have risen up to support this system because of some unmet savior.need they have. How does one characterize this compulsion?

How about a legit Peace Corp (not another Sea-Eye-AA front)? Let them engage their superior humanity in a leper colony in Peru.

Teaching children to read is joyful, purposeful, and needed.

        • I don’t know, it seems like inculcating noblesse oblige into relationships. But it’s most natural if the child is following the example of parents (and friends in their religious communities).

Empathy isn’t a universal “good”. Without discretion, experience or civic awareness, unfiltered actions driven by empathy can lead to the most destructive consequences for
you, your nearest, and dearest. And like it or not, they remain your first responsibility in any stable society.

A disordered personality may drive rescue fantasies. You feel TOO privileged. AND you’re SO superior, you can right all wrongs, change the world. Up to and including BAMN. A collective of such individuals is a cult, an imminent threat.

  3. About six weeks ago I had $2,000 stolen during an on-line purchase. The interaction involved my bank, from which first a thousand bucks, then a few seconds later another thousand could be seen zipping from my account. I immediately alerted the bank, and after a month of wrangling it replaced the funds, but only after implying that I was somehow a participant in the theft, and that it was replacing the money only because it is so very kind and generous.

The bank’s fraud squad claimed this to be some kind of new scam. But I never even consented to the withdrawal, I said, so how am I complicit? No good answer came back. Did this come from domestic or foreign thieves, I asked? No answer.

Despite all bank claims about its on-line security, despite constant government assurances that it is passing laws to protect us against money laundering (that’s the big excuse), disinformation, and general fraud, no authority seems able to stop digital crime. We the consumer are left holding our hats hoping, pitifully, that a faceless business supported by a faceless government institution will make us whole again. Of course, the true acumen of our banking-governmental efficiencies shone through like a laser beam when it came to de-banking those who supported the Freedom Convoy. In that circumstance the banks–suddenly–harmonized seamlessly with government. The results were fantastic if your goal was to assault privacy and the rights of the individual. The result was inadvertently fantastic, too, in terms of placing Canada’s creeping communism on world display. I believe this was a bit of an “oops” misstep by then tyrants-in-charge Dear Leader and Dear Mizz Freeland, who had suddenly given face to the faceless, much to the chagrin of the World Economic Forum, and the puppet masters thereof who ordered a quick reversal. “It’s too soon, you idiots! We don’t show this until later!”

As a technopeasant I don’t much know what I am looking at when it comes to computers and the internet, but I certainly know what I see. A digital prison is being built around us, brick by brick. Variations of this prison are going up in every Western country, from what I read. In Canada the latest brick is Bill C-2. Let’s let the CBC explain it:

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/liberal-legislation-border-fentanyl-1.7550684

The CBC buries the $10,000 lead under “border-strengthening”. Sure, strengthen the border while bringing in over 800,000 strangers in the last quarter alone, and create draconian currency controls more Soviet than anything Soviet.

As a slight aside, the Uke-Russian war has been a petri dish for many things, including weapons technology (drones), digital IDs, and bio-hazards. One wonders if our government also studies our digital containment under a new Central Bank Digital Currency regime with the help of our Ukrainian partners?

Turkish law enforcement has dismantled the sophisticated operation in the popular coastal resort of Ku?adas?, leading to the arrest of 20 individuals, including the suspected mastermind who operates a local hotel.

…a minimum of 268 international tourists were victimized by this elaborate scheme, resulting in financial losses approaching $30 million. The criminal enterprise generated revenues exceeding 1.1 billion Turkish lira ($37 million).

Mexico’s President on Sunday poured gasoline over the fire and essentially joined the ongoing insurrection in Los Angeles while threatening the United States with more mayhem.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, violent protests broke out on Friday after ICE agents conducted multiple raids in downtown Los Angeles.

The riots continued into Saturday. Protesters started fires, threw projectiles at law enforcement officers, and damaged property in response to LA Mayor Karen Bass’s call for action against ICE agents. The situation turned south so quickly that Trump deployed the National Guard in an effort to restore order while Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom sat on their hands.

But things only escalated yesterday with thugs torching cars, attacking police horses, and continuing to assault law enforcement officials.

Now, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is egging on the violent protesters and lashing out at the Trump Administration for even trying to lay down the law. During a speech in Mexico City, Sheinbaum hailed the rioters as “good men and women” who just want to support their families.

“Mexicans living in the United States are good men and women, honest people who went to the United States to seek a better life for themselves and to support their families,” Sheinbaum said. “They are not criminals! They are good men and women!”

    https://youtu.be/rIKpOBmaI84

Sheinbaum also called for Mexicans in America to mobilize and take action if the U.S. decides to implement a tax on money sent home to Mexico. Remittances make up roughly 4% of Mexico’s gross domestic product.

So she is threatening another insurrection against America for taxing money flowing out of our country.

Senator Chris Murphy: my first message is to keep it peaceful. I mean, obviously, this is a moment where we have to be on the streets all over the country to protest what’s happening to our immigrant community, but more broadly, to protest what’s happening to our democracy. This is the most corrupt administration in the history of the country, and we are going to rise to this moment by being out there on the streets. But ultimately, I think the country sees what Donald Trump is trying to do here. He’s looking for a fight. There’s nothing in what he is doing that is about about peace or about restoring order. He’s taking a protest that is relatively isolated. People in Los Angeles over the weekend would tell you that 99% of them went about their day, and it was pretty normal because this is not an invasion that has taken over the entire city. He’s trying to turn a protest that is pretty small into something that involves an even bigger confrontation so that he might actually be able to invoke the Insurrection Act. That would be a defining story of the week if he were to do it.

Here is the video, via Western Lensman.

NEW: Chris Murphy calls for NATIONWIDE street protests — says the “protests” in LA are “pretty small.”

And, of course, he blames Trump. Pretty clear to see where this is going:

  6. Los Angeles in Chaos: How Democrat Leadership Enabled Anti-ICE Violence While Federal Forces Restore Order
    thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/los-angeles-chaos-how-democrat-leadership-enabled-anti/
    Jun. 9, 2025 2:15 pm

Images of cars being set on fire, ICE officers being attacked, rocks being hurled at ICE vehicles, protesters blocking traffic and laying siege to federal buildings, and also shooting fireworks are all over the TV.

When California Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass made it clear that they would not help bring order to L.A., President Trump sent in the National Guard. Now, the governor and the mayor are blaming Trump, rather than the rioters, for the violence.

As L.A. burns, Governor Newsom’s statement on the ICE raids: “Continued chaotic federal sweeps, across California, to meet an arbitrary arrest quota are as reckless as they are cruel.

Donald Trump’s chaos is eroding trust, tearing families apart, and undermining the workers and industries that power America’s economy.”

These riots are one more clear example of how federal immigration enforcement operations in Los Angeles have been met with violent resistance and destructive riots, while Democratic leadership prioritizes protecting lawbreakers over law enforcement officers and public safety.

Governor Newsom misses the point that families are only being torn apart because they entered the country illegally, and they are free to be back together again in their home country.

He made the spurious claim about the economy depending on illegals. Well, the confederacy economy depended on slavery, and yet no one today believes that should have been a good reason to keep slavery in place.

Also, the Democrats are always pushing for a higher legislative minimum wage. The presence of the illegals suppresses wages, and California, with one of the highest minimum wages, has incentivized the hiring of illegals for sublegal wages.

By deporting illegals, the wage for legal immigrants and citizens will rise naturally while taxes and social security benefits are also paid and abided by. Working age people currently living on benefits would also be incentivized to return to work, so the economic arguments in favor of illegal immigration fall apart easily.

The way this all unfolded was that on Friday, June 6, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted lawful immigration raids across Los Angeles, detaining dozens of individuals for immigration violations.

The raids targeted multiple locations, including businesses in the Fashion District, Home Depot stores, and day labor centers where undocumented workers congregate.

As news of the enforcement actions spread, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building in downtown Los Angeles, where detainees were being processed. What began as demonstrations quickly escalated into violent confrontations with federal officers.

The situation deteriorated rapidly as protesters spray-painted anti-ICE slogans on federal buildings, with some attempting to physically block ICE vehicles.

Federal courthouses suffered significant damage, with windows smashed and graffiti covering building facades. Video footage showed protesters using hammers to destroy federal property.

Officers faced attacks from crowds throwing chunks of broken concrete at law enforcement, forcing police to respond with tear gas, pepper spray, and flash-bang devices.

The Los Angeles Police Department declared an unlawful assembly and issued a citywide tactical alert.

The violence continued into Saturday in Paramount, where protesters hurled rocks and cement chunks at Border Patrol vehicles. Federal agents in riot gear were forced to deploy tear gas, flash-bang explosives, and pepper balls to maintain order.

Faced with escalating lawlessness, President Trump signed a presidential memorandum Saturday night deploying 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles County for 60 days, using rarely invoked federal authority to bypass state officials.

Trending: Feel Good Video of the Day: Mad Maxine Waters Tries to Enter LA Federal Building to See Rioter Friend – Law Enforcement Slams the Door in Her Face

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned that Marines at nearby Camp Pendleton were “on high alert” and could be mobilized if violence continued.

The deployment marked the first time in 60 years that a president has used federal power to deploy National Guard troops without state governors’ agreement, utilizing the 1807 Insurrection Act.

This crisis represents a fundamental breakdown of the rule of law in sanctuary cities, where progressive Democrats prioritize illegal immigrant protection over their own citizens.

The violent resistance to lawful ICE operations demonstrates the dangerous consequences of sanctuary city policies that embolden lawlessness and undermine immigration enforcement.

The economic arguments support enforcement efforts. Labor economics theory suggests that reducing labor supply through deportations should increase wages for remaining workers in affected sectors, particularly benefiting working-class communities that Democrats claim to represent.

California’s minimum wage policies create perverse incentives. Businesses exploit illegal workers at below-minimum wages while legal workers face unemployment. This represents a form of modern economic exploitation that benefits wealthy employers at the expense of both American workers and exploited immigrants.

The National Guard deployment demonstrates strong federal leadership in restoring law and order when local Democratic officials abdicate their responsibilities.

President Trump’s action protects federal agents, upholds constitutional authority, and sends a clear message that violent resistance to federal law enforcement will not be tolerated.

This should serve as a warning to other sanctuary cities that they could also face federal intervention and National Guard protection if they fail to enforce the law.

Finally, these events raise the fundamental question of whether sanctuary cities and states should even exist when they openly advertise that they harbor illegal aliens and obstruct federal immigration enforcement.

  7. CNN Panel Triggered After Trump Calls LA Rioters “Insurrectionists” (VIDEO)

CNN is upset that President Trump accurately labeled the LA rioters “insurrectionists.”

President Trump on Monday referred to the LA rioters as “insurrectionists” and “professional agitators.”

The rioters launched explosives at a federal detention facility in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend.

What does your intel tell you about the people the people that are causing the problems?” a CNN reporter asked Trump.

“The people that are causing the problem are professional agitators, they’re insurrectionists. They’re bad people, they should be in jail,” Trump said to reporters on the South Lawn.

CNN’s Dana Bash was peeved that President Trump called rioters who were launching commercial grade explosives at a federal building and assaulting federal agents “insurrectionists.”

CNN panelist Stephen Collinson said Trump’s language is dangerous.

According to CNN, Trump calling the rioters insurrectionists is much worse than the illegal aliens assaulting law enforcement and burning cars.

  8. KARMA: Man Doxxing ICE Agents’ Locations During LA Riots Flips Out After Getting a Taste of His Own Medicine

Leftists are perfectly happy dishing out punishment to those they disagree with, even if it means putting conservatives in danger. But they absolutely lose it completely when the right pushes back meaningfully.

While radical leftists have been torching Los Angeles for the past three days, a person running the X account, LA Scanner, has been doxxing the locations of ICE agents trying to deport illegal aliens in LA. By doing so, he has been putting the lives of federal officers in danger.

    Here are a few examples.

    — LA Scanner (@LAScanner) June 8, 2025

Conservatives were rightfully outraged upon learning what the person behind this account was doing and demanded that the Trump Administration take action to protect the officers. But some accounts decided not to wait and gave the doxxer a taste of his own medicine.

Upon discovering the meaning of karma, the individual running LA Scanner lost it.

“I recently discovered several posts containing my family’s name and home addresses,” the person running the LA Scanner X account wrote. “This is unacceptable and violates our privacy.

The angry person then threatened to kill anyone who showed up at his house with supposed “harmful intentions.”

“Be warned: if anyone appears at my residence with harmful intentions, I am legally entitled to use deadly force in accordance with my state’s laws,” the individual added.

I recently discovered several posts containing my family’s name and home addresses. This is unacceptable and violates our privacy. Be warned: if anyone appears at my residence with harmful intentions, I am legally entitled to use deadly force in accordance with my state’s laws.

    — LA Scanner (@LAScanner) June 9, 2025

But LA Scanner partially has himself to blame for getting doxxed because he was dumb enough to put his name out on the Internet while endangering the lives of ICE agents. In one of the posts, the account links to a man named Jack Quillin.

If this account gets banned, you can stay updated by following my personal page @JackQuillinTV.

    — LA Scanner (@LAScanner) June 8, 2025

In an interesting twist, Quillin is not even from Los Angeles. Instead, he is based out of Houston, Texas, according to his X profile.

The next question that needs answering is who was feeding him this info on ICE agents while he was sitting at home?
