Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.
This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

My dear departed mother was proud of her Irish heritage from her father’s side. While she was an honest person, she appreciated good blarney. In fact my grandfather managed to raise something of a sommelier of this daughter of his when it came to liars. He did this because he was a successful bullshit artist himself, so she learned firsthand.
You just knew what was going through her head by the way she looked at someone. Often the liar under her watchful ear was some European ethnic–Italian, German, Hungarian–that she easily dismissed. “Nobody lies like the Irish,” she would say with a wave of her hand, as if she were inviting the next auditioner to the art of the lie.
I just noticed that “blarney” rhymes a little too well with “Carney”. De-carbonized oil? Really? How about we breath de-aired air? And drink de-watered water?

For sport I will say the Trump/Musk feud is a distraction to predicate a large event, which probably has something to do with the accelerating debt crisis.

PT made some awfully dubious appointments. Maybe catastrophic. We voted for him because we had no choice. That’s not a strong endorsement.
He’s getting bad advice. A result of terrible appts or excessive trust in his own “gut”? Erratic comments, policy shaped for reality TV.

I don’t know, he was the best one running. Part of the problem is people expect him to correct things overnight. It took us over a century to get into this mess and it will take more then over night to get out.

Politics is the art of the possible, PT is limited in what he can do. Limited by the Constitution and by what he can get through Congress, he is also limited by the people he has had to appoint to get some group of voters to support him. All of this slows down all of his actions to save the nation. He is still on track to save the nation but he has to keep many things in mind including the growing kinetic Civil Disobedience that is rapidly turning into an asymmetric civil war. Look at what happened in LA today and consider that the LA Mayor said that LA wouldn’t stand for ICE to make arrested in LA.
All of the above is taking place against a tapestry of politicians in all western nation working hard to start a shooting war between Russia and the US. I don’t know if we are going to get into a war with Russia but I do know that the civil war will turn kinetic and grow in intensity.
As I said above all we can do is pray and continue to work to ensure that the left doesn’t gain control of the US.

Dutch authorities have intervened at several illegal slaughterhouses across the Netherlands in recent days, seizing sheep carcasses and rescuing live animals amid heightened enforcement during Offerfeest (Eid al-Adha), the Islamic holiday during which many animals are reportedly ritually slaughtered, AD reported.
The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) and the police conducted multiple raids, including a major intervention Friday at an illegal slaughter site on a farm in Noord-Limburg. NVWA inspectors found four sheep carcasses and large quantities of slaughter waste.
