Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.
This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

This is incredibly frightening – UK is lost, which means the rest of the Western World is following, and soon.
A bill is making its way through the UK parliament that would, oh, I am a little too upset, so, please forgive me.
Without notice to the person concerned, not telling them they are accused of something they may do in the future, not giving them a chance to defend themselves in court (because they have not been told a court proceeding is happening against them) – and the offence is that they ‘might’ say something that hurts someone’s feelings, they can be given a court order (the breech of this is 2 years in jail) to not do something or TO DO something they are not inclined to do.
If you do not comply, you may be fined or you may be denied housing – or given housing in jail for 2 years. And we all know how well that goes for political prisoners, because ‘telling jokes’ is included in the offences that can cause you to be charged and sentenced without you knowing and being able to defend yourself.
This is a nightmare.
I happily risked my life, happily spent time in a UN refugee camp with all the nasty folks there (ok, not exactly happy times, but the suffering was worth the investment of coming to a free country), and this is now the new reality?
Canadian court rulings follow British precedents.
