Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has threatened federal law enforcement with “hell to pay” if they arrest members of Congress for violating the law.

    The Democrats are once again inciting chaos and violence amid the arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka for criminal trespass for storming an ICE facility in New Jersey with three Democratic New Jersey Congressmembers.

    The Gateway Pundit reported on ICE bodycam footage that was released over the weekend and shows Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver verbally abusing and physically assaulting federal agents at the Delaney Hall Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey. Democrat New Jersey Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob Menendez were also there, fighting for the release of dangerous criminal aliens.

    Baraka was arrested on Friday for his involvement in the lawlessness.

    There have been no arrests or charges as of yet for members of Congress– just a reminder that “Members of Congress cannot break the law in the name of ‘oversight’” and must comply with the guidelines.

    This is why Congress members feel emboldened to taunt law enforcement and continue to incite unrest and violence.

    As The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday, a violent clash with police led to arrests at the same detention facility that Congress members invaded. Far-left ‘faith leaders’ created a human chain and blocked emergency vehicles from entering the ICE facility.

    Police arrested several far-left protestors for refusing to leave the property numerous times.

    In an unhinged Instagram rant over the weekend, Ocasio-Cortez threatened that “we’re going to have a problem” if law enforcement arrests the members of Congress who unlawfully stormed the facility and attacked officers.

    She claims that the members of Congress were “inhibited from accessing” the ICE facilities to conduct oversight, ignoring the fact that they were granted access when they followed the protocols instead of storming the facility. The members later reported that none of the issues they had previously claimed were present.

    She further attacked ICE agents, who protect the American public from terrorist gang members, for wearing masks to protect their safety and the operations they execute and falsely smeared ICE agents as “not in any way accountable to the Constitution of the United States.”

    What a genius…

    And now what DHS is trying to say, again, they’re using public intimidation because they know that they cannot come for us all. They know that they are not— that they cannot come for us all.

    And recently, what they said is that DHS is allegedly looking into arresting members of Congress who were showing up for their legal and constitutional obligation to conduct oversight. If anyone’s breaking the law in this situation, it’s not members of Congress, it’s the Department of Homeland Security.

    It’s people like Tom Homan and Secretary Kristi Noem. You lay a finger on someone, on representative, Bonnie Watson Coleman, or any of the representatives that were there, you lay a finger on them, we’re going to have a problem, because the people who are breaking the law are the people who are not abiding by it.

    And it is enshrined in the law that members of Congress who show up to ICE and CBP facilities are required to be granted access, legally required to be granted access, and they legally cannot be inhibited from accessing these facilities to conduct their constitutional obligation to investigate and conduct oversight.

    So, if Kristi Noem wants to break the law, that’s on her, but it sure as hell is not someone like representative Robert Menendez that needs to be arrested, okay?

    We need to be talking about ICE agent— the the the ICE agents and the cowardly policy of covering their faces, covering their faces. And a lot of them are also covering their identification.

    These are public employees that are accountable to the public and accountable to Congress, and this idea that we are going to allow some kind of paramilitary force to bloom that is not in any way, that is not in any way accountable to the Constitution of the United States, we got another thing coming.

    That right there, that kind of attitude is what is actually anti-American. That kind of attitude is what is actually treasonous, is to attack our Constitution and to attack the obligations that we have in our Constitution, to attack free speech.

    To attack the powers of Congress, to erode our ability to investigate and conduct oversight, that is what is un-American. And this administration and Kristi Noem spits on the American flag every time she does that nonsense.

      A magistrate judge warned US Attorney Alina Habba and ICE against ‘out-of-court’ statements about the case against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka during a hearing on Friday.

      Public statements made by Alina Habba and ICE spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin following Ras Baraka’s arrest are at issue.

      The Mayor of Newark was arrested for criminal trespass on Friday after storming the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility.

      According to News12NJ, Baraka was shouting at agents after he gained entry through the gate.

      On Friday, Alina Habba said Mayor Baraka was taken into custody after he ignored multiple warnings from DHS agents.

      “The Mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, committed trespass and ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security Investigations to remove himself from the ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey this afternoon. He has willingly chosen to disregard the law. That will not stand in this state. He has been taken into custody. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW,” Alina Habba said.

      During a virtual hearing on Friday, US Magistrate André M. Espinosa warned Alina Habba against making public statements about an ongoing investigation after Ras Baraka’s attorney argued his client who is also running for New Jersey governor.

      Before Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was released from custody on Friday, a federal magistrate quickly determined he was not a flight risk and cautioned federal officials against making out-of-court statements about the mayor, who is also running for New Jersey governor, according to a newly-released transcript of the extraordinary virtual hearing … During the 18-minute videoconference, Baraka’s attorney Raymond Brown asked [U.S. Magistrate André M.] Espinosa to warn Trump administration officials against making derogatory public statements about his client … Earlier in the day, interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba had posted on social media that Baraka had “willingly chosen to disregard the law” before he was arrested at the immigration detention center he was protesting and seeking to inspect along with three members of New Jersey’s congressional delegation. Espinosa said to the extent anyone had made such comments, he would “caution them to heed carefully to the rules of professional conduct” and “boundaries of propriety for public comment related to an ongoing investigation and/or prosecution.”

      On Monday, Alina Habba announced her office has launched a federal investigation into the violent altercation between Congressional Democrats and ICE agents at the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark on Friday.

      “My office is undertaking a thorough investigation in coordination with our Federal Agency partners of what transpired on Friday at Delaney Hall. As is true of every investigation this office handles, all available evidence will be thoroughly reviewed prior to making a determination on how to proceed. I do not take these matters lightly,” Alina Habba said on Monday.

    A left-wing panelist dropped the dog whistle and screamed directly into her bullhorn during a shocking display of anti-white racism last night while complaining about persecuted South Africans receiving refugee status.

    AS TGP readers know, the Trump administration is resettling increasingly racially persecuted white South African farmers, specifically Afrikaners, in the United States. This is a long-overdue response to the violent racial persecution of an ethnic minority left to fend for itself in a crumbling, post-apartheid South Africa. These farmers, the very backbone of South Africa’s food supply, trace their ancestry back to Dutch and French settlers.

    The first group of white South African refugees arrived in the United States on Monday. As one will see, these 59 refugees waved AMERICAN flags as they were welcomed to DC by Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, and DHS Deputy Secretary Troy Edgar welcomed the refugees.

    And these are actually FAMILIES, not young military-aged men masquerading as refugees in an attempt to conquer their ‘new land.’

    Unsurprisingly, the left was furious upon seeing America daring to help Caucasian refugees. But nothing compared to what former Biden-Harris staffer Ashley Allison had to say on CNN Monday night.

    Allison first argued that the racist South African regime, which is ruled by the country’s black majority, was perfectly justified in stealing the Afrikaners’ land and giving it to the black population. Then, she made this sickening remark:

    If the Afrikaners don’t like the land, they can leave that country…They can leave and go to where their native land is, probably Germany or Holland.

    Back during the days of Jim Crow, black people were told if they did not like how things were that they should go back to Africa. Now, we have a black Democrat in America telling suffering white refugees that they don’t belong in their native country or their new one.

    Just imagine the uproar and consequences for Jennings if he said Hispanics in America should return to Mexico or Blacks should go back to Ghana. Of course, the situation is entirely different when racism is targeted toward one particular ethnic group.

      President Donald Trump took a blistering shot at establishment media double standards in a fiery White House rebuke Monday.

      While speaking at the White House, Trump took a moment to shame the media for the lack of attention given to some of the atrocities happening in South Africa against white Afrikaners — a topic the president cares deeply about.

      “It’s a genocide that’s taking place that you people don’t want to write about,” the U.S. president told reporters. “But it’s a terrible thing that’s taking place. Farmers are being killed. They happen to be white.

      “But whether they’re white or black, makes no difference to me. But white farmers are being brutally killed, and their land is being confiscated in South Africa.”

      Trump then swiftly turned his ire toward the establishment double standard when it comes to race-based issues.

      “And the newspapers, and the media, and the television media doesn’t even talk about it,” Trump continued. “If it were the other way around, they’d talk about it. That would be the only story they talk about.”

      Trump finished by stressing: “I don’t care who they are, I don’t care about their race, their color, I don’t care about their height, their weight, I don’t care about anything.

      “I just know that what’s happening is terrible. I have people that live in South Africa.

      “They say it’s a terrible situation taking place. So we’ve essentially extended citizenship to those people, to escape from the violence and come here.”

      In February, Trump signed an executive order that targeted South Africa for “egregious actions.”

      “In shocking disregard of its citizens’ rights, the Republic of South Africa (South Africa) recently enacted Expropriation Act 13 of 2024 (Act), to enable the government of South Africa to seize ethnic minority Afrikaners’ agricultural property without compensation,” the order reads. “This Act follows countless government policies designed to dismantle equal opportunity in employment, education, and business, and hateful rhetoric and government actions fueling disproportionate violence against racially disfavored landowners.”

      (The order also accuses South Africa of supporting Hamas terrorists.)

      Calling the policies “unjust and immoral,” Trump ordered that America suspend all aid and assistance to South Africa, while also ordering the resettlement of those affected.

      A few months after that order, Trump took to Truth Social to lambaste the state of South Africa, accusing it of being unfit to host the G20 summit.

      “How could we be expected to go to South Africa for the very important G20 Meeting when Land Confiscation and Genocide is the primary topic of conversation?” He posted in April. “They are taking the land of white Farmers, and then killing them and their families. The Media refuses to report on this.”

      Trump’s rhetoric has incensed South African officials, who in turn have bad-mouthed the U.S. president. That has forced the hand of the Trump administration to crack down and bar certain Afrikaner officials from the country.

      The first group of Afrikaners from South Africa arrived for resettlement Monday, and were greeted by Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Troy Edgar after they arrived at Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia.

    • NPR”s morning radio show featured a faith-based refugee resettlement head who decried the racism in accepting Whites in a fast-track to citizenship while having families of vetted Afghan support staff continue to wait oitside the country. In fact, he said that his organization will no longer accept government contracts, including the current request to assist the incoming Afrikaaners.

      There was no reporter attempt to provide the discouraging details of the organization’s track record, nor a statement that the Federal government sets foreign policy. I would have liked to have learned whether English-speakers have a better chance of assimilating and if that was the rationale for inviting them to jump the queue. Perhaps the US wants farmers. Was that the reason? Perhaps the Afghanis are temporarily safe and the Afrikaaners are in imminent danger.

      Ironically, until fairly recently, Afghans (like North Africans, Iranians, Middle Easterners, and even people of India) were White, according to the US Census Bureau. It would have been astute for the reporter to have pointed this out.

    Today elections do not matter in America because lawless communist judges can strip power from the sitting president and nullify the 2024 election from the bench.

    Chief Justice John Roberts is destroying the American people’s trust in the court. He will certainly go down in history for his role in sabotaging the United States.     If you refuse to get your judicial house in order because you’re scared of bad press in the Washington Post and The New York Times, Congress is going to get your judicial house in order for you.     But frankly, the simpler approach, as Speaker Newt Gingrich has been talking about, is just eliminating a judge’s seat.     Mike Davis: Look, illegal aliens do not have constitutional due process rights related to remaining in this country. The only time they get due process rights is when Congress provides those due process rights as it relates to remaining in this country.

    If these seven generals on the Supreme Court, Commanding General John Roberts and his six Lieutenant generals, think that they’re just going to create constitutional due process rights for these illegal aliens, including Tren de Araqua terrorists, where the President can’t get these people the hell out of our country. The Supreme Court is going to lose its legitimacy with the American people, and when that happens, it loses everything.

    This is a dire warning to the Chief Justice. Proceed with caution.

        • I have to start watching this area and South Africa, both are places where the next “small” war could break out. My bet is India v Pak but I am not an expert on those two nations so I could be wrong. I keep remembering that India and Pakistan were both filled with small nations (Principalities) that were constantly fighting each other until the Brits took over the entire subcontinent. There is a lot of religious, regional, ethnic tension with old hatreds that are simmering waiting for a chance to cause trouble. Then throw China, Iran and Russia into the mix and it is a nasty recipe.

      The India-Pakistan clashes may not be over. However, the world’s countries are watching. China will want to see how its warplanes and missiles stack up. Russia will want to see how India’s S-400s perform. India uses French Rafale warplanes. Israel will be looking closely as well.

      The full story emerging between India and Pakistan is not a simple military lesson of whether one system works better than another.

      India’s military and defense sector today is dominated by a “make in India” approach that seeks to have most of the defense procurement be done locally. This makes sense for a country of a billion people with ample resources.

      However, it was not historically what India did. Despite its size, India’s defense investment has increased over the years. The country is trying to modernize, and each clash leads to questions about whether these efforts are performing well. Pakistan is merely one foe for India. China is also a rival. India is also important in terms of ties with the Gulf and China.

      What happens in the India-Pakistan clashes has wider implications as well for Asia and the Pacific, as well as wars in Gaza and Ukraine. This is an increasingly Hobbesian world of an emerging new world order.

      The multi-polar world in which we live today is one of increasing wars in various regions. Countries are willing to take more chances than in the past. They are less cautious and have less restraint. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is an example, as is the October 7 attack.

      With shifts in global power accelerating, conflicts such as the one between India and Pakistan are more important.

      Countries such as China may draw conclusions about its own tensions with Taiwan or with other states.

      If China’s military technology performs well, it could cause Beijing to gamble. A gamble could lead to another, larger conflict.

    In what may be one of the most devastating foreign policy failures in modern U.S. history, President Joe Biden’s reckless 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan did not simply leave a power vacuum, it handed America’s enemies one of the largest unauthorized arms transfers in history.

    Today, billions of dollars in U.S. weapons and equipment are in the hands of terrorists, black market arms dealers, and hostile regimes.

    According to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), the Taliban earned over $3.4 billion in revenue last year, partly by selling seized U.S. weapons to global terror networks. Groups such as al-Qaeda affiliates, ISIS-K, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and others are actively using these weapons for attacks and training.

    A recent BBC investigation revealed that half a million weapons captured by the Taliban are now unaccounted for—either lost, sold, or smuggled out.

    The Taliban originally seized around one million items of U.S.-funded military hardware, including M4 and M16 rifles, Humvees, MRAPs, and even Black Hawk helicopters.

    While much of the high-end equipment remains non-operational due to lack of training and maintenance capacity, thousands of vehicles and small arms have been deployed in combat or sold to the highest bidder.

    The BBC confirmed that the Taliban admitted these weapons were missing during a closed-door UN meeting in Doha.

    Despite Pentagon assurances that most equipment was disabled, the Taliban continues to flaunt U.S. hardware in military parades, most notably in August 2024, when they celebrated three years in power by showcasing captured gear at Bagram Airfield, once the main hub of U.S. and NATO operations.

    Diplomats from China and Iran attended the parade, highlighting a new geopolitical reality: the U.S. is gone, and adversaries are taking its place.

    Taliban leaders now view these weapons not just as tools of war but as symbols of legitimacy and power.

    A black-market arms economy has emerged, with local commanders using WhatsApp to trade U.S. gear, often gifting weapons to consolidate control.

    Even the United Nations noted that the Taliban allowed its regional commanders to keep 20% of all seized American weapons—further fueling fragmentation and underground trafficking.

    President Trump, ahead of his second inauguration, blasted the Biden administration for handing over “$85 billion in weapons” to the Taliban.

    While the exact value is debated, even conservative estimates peg the abandoned equipment at $7 billion or more, according to the Department of Defense.

    Since resuming office, Trump has vowed to reclaim the gear, stating: “If we need to pay them, that’s fine—but we want our military equipment back.”

    Yet the Taliban has refused, insisting the arms belong to the state. Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid declared, “We seized these weapons from the previous administration and will use them to defend the country.”

    Meanwhile, China and Russia have cautiously moved to expand their presence in Afghanistan, seeking to exploit the vacuum left by the U.S. withdrawal. Both countries have reopened embassies in Kabul and hosted Taliban delegations.

    In 2023, China became the first country to accept credentials from a Taliban-appointed ambassador—an act of limited diplomatic recognition.

    Russia, too, has kept channels open but, like China, stopped short of formally recognizing the Taliban as the legitimate government.

    Though often described as eager to tap into Afghanistan’s estimated $1 trillion in untapped mineral reserves, including lithium, copper, and rare earths, neither China nor Russia has signed any major extraction agreements.

    At most, a handful of non-binding MOUs have been floated, but none have resulted in actual mining operations.

    The reasons are clear: Afghanistan remains too unstable, too underdeveloped, and too unskilled to support large-scale industrial extraction.

    The rugged terrain, lack of roads and power infrastructure, and a complete absence of educated technical labor mean that any serious resource project would require foreign companies to build everything from scratch, at high cost and high risk.

    Even China, known for braving hostile environments to secure strategic minerals, has held back. For both China and Russia, religious and cultural differences, along with the risk of jihadist spillover into their own Muslim regions, have further complicated relations.

    Still, the Taliban continues to signal interest in aligning with anti-U.S. powers in hopes of securing legitimacy and investment.

    Afghanistan may be drifting into the orbit of America’s adversaries, but for now, it remains a pawn, not a partner, in their broader geopolitical strategy.

    To make matters worse, the U.S. oversight body SIGAR will shut down in 2026, eliminating the last official line of accountability for U.S. equipment and aid in the region.

    Former SIGAR head John Sopko has argued that retrieving the weapons may not be financially feasible, but the strategic cost of leaving them in hostile hands is far more dangerous.

    This is not just a policy failure. It is a long-term national security liability, one that continues to arm terrorists, embolden authoritarian states, and erode American influence across one of the world’s most volatile regions.

    A federal judge in Pennsylvania on Tuesday became the first to say President Trump can invoke the Alien Enemies Act to deport Tren de Aragua gang members.

    US District Judge Stephanie Haines, a Trump appointee, said President Trump’s description of the Venezuelan gang’s “incursion” into the US meets the threshold to invoke the Alien Enemies Act.

    “Having done its job, the Court now leaves it to the Political Branches of the government, and ultimately to the people who elect those individuals, to decide whether the laws and those executing them continue to reflect their will,” the judge wrote.

    The judge said in her 43-page ruling that the Trump Administration must provide detainees subject to removal under AEA a 21 days’ notice and “opportunity to be heard.”

    The notice must be in English and Spanish and if needed, Spanish-to-English interpreters shall be provided for any necessary hearings.

    Numerous judges have ruled against Trump since Boasberg ordered planes carrying Venezuelan gang members en route to El Salvador to be turned around.

    Earlier this month, a federal judge issued a permanent injunction and barred the Trump Administration from using the Alien Enemies Act (AEA) to remove Venezuelan gang members and transport them to El Salvador.

    US District Judge Fernando Rodriguez, a Trump appointee, called the President’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act “unlawful.”

    According to Judge Rodriguez, the AEA only applies when the US is at war and under an armed attack.

    Last month, a federal judge in Texas halted the deportation of suspected Tren de Aragua gang members under the Alien Enemies Act.

    US District Judge David Briones, a Clinton appointee, on Friday ordered the release of two suspected TdA members. The judge admonished DOJ lawyers and said they “have not demonstrated they have any lawful basis” to keep the couple detained.

    Judge Briones’ ruling applies to all illegal aliens facing deportation under the Alien Enemies Act in his Texas judicial district.

    Other federal judges in New York, Colorado, and South Texas have issued similar rulings.

    Last month the New York Times reported that Ed Martin was pursuing an inquiry into whether Joe Biden was competent to issue pardons late in his presidency.

    The Oversight Project recently released analysis of Joe Biden’s pardons for family members, Dr. Tony Fauci, General Milley, J6 Committee members and Gerald Lundergan.

    Joe Biden also issued a blanket pardon for his son, Hunter Biden after promising not to intervene in the Justice Department’s prosecution of tax and gun crimes.

    On January 19, 2025, just one day before Trump was set to be sworn in as the 47th US President, Joe Biden issued a flurry of pardons to his family members, Fauci and others.

    The Oversight Project determined that all of the pardons issued on January 19 had the same exact Biden autopen signature.

    The Oversight Project also has gathered every document they could find with Biden’s signature – ALL used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that he was dropping out of the 2024 election.

    There was a second frequently used autopen signature for Joe Biden’s pardons and commutations.

    Autopen A and Autopen B have slight differences in the signatures.

    Analysis by the Oversight Project reveals out of 51 clemency warrants issued by Biden: 16 were signed with Autopen A, 16 were signed with Autopen B and 19 appear to be wet signatures.

    A Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman on Saturday said that members of Congress bodyslammed a female ICE agent.

    Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, appeared on CNN to discuss the violent confrontation between New Jersey Democrats and ICE Agents at the Delaney Hall detention facility.

    Democrat Reps. LaMonica McIver, Bob Menendez and Bonnie Watson Coleman were all fighting for the release of dangerous criminal aliens.

    Mayor Baraka was arrested and charged with federal trespass on Friday, however, more arrests are imminent, the DHS confirmed on Saturday.

    “There will likely be more arrests coming. We have bodycam footage of some of these members of Congress assaulting our ICE enforcement officers, including bodyslamming a female ICE officer. We will be showing that to viewers very shortly,” Tricia McLaughlin told CNN.

    Alina Habba, the US Attorney for the District of New Jersey, announced her office has launched a federal investigation into the violent altercation between Congressional Democrats and ICE agents at the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark on Friday.

As is true of every investigation this office handles, all available evidence will be thoroughly reviewed prior to making a determination on how to proceed.
