This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Now freezing rain warning again. The wind has really come up and pieces of ice are flying everywhere, large tree branches are cracking and flying. The chemtrail planes have been busy again today. So when I checked the weather network, I was surprised to see rainbow roads. Madness ….I remember when they first started vaccinations and 4 women sitting next to me in a restaurant, all had sagging, distorted faces and one said “Something is going around.”

    A Boston judge has held a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in contempt for executing his duty to detain an illegal immigrant during an ongoing trial.

    On Thursday, March 27, 2025, ICE agents, ICE agent Brian Sullivan apprehended Wilson Martell-Lebron, a Dominican national illegally residing in the United States, as he exited the Boston Municipal Court.

    Martell-Lebron, a Dominican national residing illegally in the country using fake identity, was on his second trial for charges related to falsifying information on a driver’s license application.

    Despite the gravity of his alleged offenses, Boston’s lenient policies had allowed him to remain free until ICE agents, led by Agent Brian Sullivan, apprehended him outside the courthouse.

    But instead of applause for upholding our borders, a Massachusetts state court judge—yet another cog in the radical left’s sanctuary machine—had the gall to hold an ICE agent in contempt.

    Boston Municipal Court Judge Mark Summerville held Agent Sullivan in contempt, accusing him of violating Martell-Lebron’s so-called rights to due process and a fair trial.

    “The finding of contempt is a consequence of Agent Sullivan’s intentional and egregious violations of the defendant’s rights,” Summerville said.

    “This is a disturbing case,” Summerville added. “It’s a case of obstruction of justice. It’s a case of violating the defendant’s right to be present at trial and confront witnesses against him. Couldn’t be more serious.”

    Summerville went so far as to dismiss the charges against Martell-Lebron, effectively rewarding illegal behavior and punishing those who seek to enforce the law.

    Judge Mark Summerville held ICE agent Brian Sullivan in contempt Monday for allegedly obstructing justice, the Globe reported. ICE Agent Sullivan, Steven Wells, and any other agent involved in the arrest were ordered Friday to appear for an evidentiary hearing, and a bench warrant was issued for Sullivan.

    ICE alleges that Martell-Lebron is really named Juan Carlos Baez and is originally from the Dominican Republic. He allegedly entered the U.S. illegally in 2000, ICE said.

    An ICE spokesperson confirmed that agents apprehended Martell-Lebron outside the court house on Thursday.

    “Officers with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston field office apprehended Juan Carlos Baez (aka Wilson Martell-Lebron), a 49-year-old, illegally present Dominican national with prior drug trafficking convictions, after he departed the Boston Municipal Court,” the spokesperson said.

    Martell-Lebron was found guilty of two counts of trafficking cocaine and one count of trafficking heroin in Middlesex Superior Court in 2009, court documents show. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison after already serving a little less than two years while awaiting trial.

    The Massachusetts Department of Correction confirmed that he was released in 2020.

    Elon Musk reveals that millions of illegals are receiving drivers licenses and many are voting. Now Democrats want to make it legal for illegals to vote.

    Billionaire entrepreneur and Trump advisor Elon Musk dropped a bombshell this past weekend during a fiery 100-minute town hall in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he campaigned for conservative judge Brad Schimel in the state’s upcoming Supreme Court election on Tuesday.

    Joined by Antonio Gracias, a private equity titan and a key member of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team tasked with rooting out waste in the federal government, Musk unveiled a shocking chart: a dramatic spike in Social Security Numbers issued to non-citizens, soaring from 270,000 in 2021 to a mind-blowing 2.1 million in 2024.

    That’s almost 5 million non-citizens now embedded in the system—collecting benefits, draining taxpayer dollars, and, most alarmingly, infiltrating the voter rolls.

    “This is a mind-blowing chart,” Musk declared, pointing to the data. “This wasn’t an accident. This was a massive, large-scale program under the Biden administration to import as many illegals as possible—ultimately to change the voting map of the United States, disenfranchise the American people, and lock in a permanent deep-blue, one-party state from which there’d be no escape.”

    Gracias, founder of Valor Equity Partners and a self-described son of legal immigrants, echoed Musk’s outrage.

    “We went to Social Security to find fraud, and we stumbled on this by accident,” he said.

    “And this isn’t political, by the way. My parents are immigrants… My brother and sister all born in Spain. I’m pro-legal immigration. This is not political. This is about America and the future of America. And there are a lot of good people in the system that pointed this in this direction. I want to honor them right now. They’re working with the government today and took the risks to show us these numbers and tell us what’s going on.”

    Gracias continued, “We found 1.3 million of them already on Medicaid as an example. On every benefit program we went through, we found groups from this particular group of people, 5.5 million people in those benefit programs. And then what was really, really disturbing us was why. We’re asking ourselves why. And so we actually just took a sample and looked at voter registration records, and we found people here registered to vote in this population.”

    The evidence, according to Musk and Gracias, is undeniable. By sampling voter registration records, they uncovered non-citizens who not only registered but voted in American elections.

    “We’ve referred them to prosecution at Homeland Security Investigations,” Gracias revealed. “That’s happening right now.”

    Just three days following this stunning revelation, The Democrat Party, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, filed a lawsuit against President Trump to allow illegal aliens to (continue to) vote in US elections.

    Of course, the lawsuit was filed in the US District Court in Washington DC – a sure win for Democrats no matter how crazy and lawless they are.

    They want to open voting to the whole world!

    These crooked politicians claim Trump is trampling the US Constitution by now allowing illegals to vote. (Richard: I think this is a typo and should say not allowing illegals to vote.)

    This really should surprise no one.

    Next they will be suing Trump for preventing dead people to vote.

    The lawsuit was filed by Marc Elias and the Elias Law Group.

    Lawyers warned some of Trump’s demands in the order, including a proof-of-citizenship requirement for voter registration and new ballot deadline rules, may violate the U.S. Constitution, according to The Associated Press.

    “We believe that this Executive Order is the farthest-reaching executive action taken in the history of the republic to Secure our Elections,” Trump said in a Truth Social post on March 25, the day he signed it, during an ambassador meeting in the Cabinet Room of the White House.

    The order also asserts power that legal experts say the president doesn’t have over an independent agency. That agency, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, sets voluntary voting system guidelines and maintains the federal voter registration form, the AP reports.

  8. Mass Stabbing In Amsterdam Underscores Need For Self-Defense

    A mass stabbing incident in Amsterdam, in which two U.S. citizens were injured, is a reminder of the importance of a person’s right of self-defense, and to have the proper tools to carry out that defense, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said.

    Published reports say the unidentified suspect apparently attacked his victims at random. Police in the Netherlands capital city, are trying to establish a motive. Five people were hospitalized, as was the suspect, who was injured when he was stopped by a passerby, Dutch police said.
    The two American victims were identified as a 67-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man. The other victims were from Belgium, Poland and Amsterdam.

    “Violent attacks like this happen suddenly, no matter where you are, but if they occur here in the United States,” observed CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “there is at least the potential that a legally-armed private citizen might intervene. Armed citizens have stopped mass attacks in the past, and more often than the public has been led to believe. I’ve co-authored several books which discuss such incidents, and more are happening all the time.

    “Our Second Amendment enables private citizens to legally carry firearms for personal protection,” he continued, “unlike other countries, where the public is kept unarmed. The most recent data on licensed concealed carry estimates that more than 21 million law-abiding citizens are now legally armed, and that doesn’t include maybe millions more who reside in the 29 states which now enjoy permitless, or ‘constitutional carry’ laws, where no license or permit is required.

    “The ability to defend one’s self and/or his or her loved ones is paramount to thwarting violent attacks,” Gottlieb observed, “whether they involve a lunatic with a knife or someone using a gun illegally. We’ve seen many sich incidents where would-be killers have been stopped cold by good people with guns.

    “It is appalling how anti-gunners and their allies in state legislatures, and on Capitol Hill, continue efforts to disarm honest citizens in this country,” Gottlieb said. “The idea that leaving good people vulnerable to vicious attack by criminals or crazy people will somehow prevent crime is, at best, delusional. That much was demonstrated in Amsterdam, where they don’t enjoy the same right to carry as we do in the U.S. Let’s make sure nobody is able to take away our right to self-defense, and the tools to guarantee it.”

  9. This Is What Happens When Guns Are Treated As Privilege, Not Right

    The Second Amendment didn’t create the right to keep and bear arms. It simply preserves it from the government trying to take it away. They’ve winnowed it down plenty, unfortunately, but they can’t take it all the way and everyone knows it.

    That’s great, even if there’s still a whole lot of room for improvement.

    But a lot of people look to European gun laws with fondness. See, over there, guns are treated as a privilege, not a right. As a result, the state can do whatever they want, and Germany did just that when the revoked the gun licenses of three men for their involvement in a right-wing, populist political party.

    They tried to get them back, but it didn’t happen, and this is why (in German but translated by Google):

    The Magdeburg Administrative Court has dismissed the lawsuits of two AfD members and a former member against the revocation of their firearms permits. The court stated that the plaintiffs lacked legal standing under firearms law because they were AfD members or had supported the party. The AfD in Saxony-Anhalt is an organization that operates against the constitutional order in Germany.

    The background to this is the classification of the state association as confirmed right-wing extremist by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution . The administrative court’s decisions are not yet legally binding.

    For the AfD members’ lawsuit to be successful, the court found, it would have been necessary for “the individual member or supporter to persistently distance themselves from the behavior and statements of other members that characterized the AfD Saxony-Anhalt’s conduct.” However, the court stated that this was not evident in the plaintiffs’ case: “The fact that the plaintiffs had held firearms permits for years without attracting any attention under firearms law is not sufficient to assume the existence of an exception to the general presumption.”

    Now, AfD is “Alternative for Germany,” translated into English, of course. This is a party that opposes the influx of Islamic immigrants that are poised to shift German demographics in the coming years, and they’re not overly popular with many left-leaning political types over that way.

    Hence, stripping gun licenses from people who are members of that party.

    I get that Germany is very prone to react toward anyone who seems interested in rebuilding anything akin to the Nazi party, but AfD isn’t some neo-Nazi group existing purely on the fringes of society. They’re an actual political party with seats in the federal parliament, the European parliament, and all but two state parliaments.

    This is a party that has gotten votes, represents people in the legislative body of the state, nation, and international authorities, yet membership in it is enough to justify revoking someone’s license?

    That’s insane.

    Then again, Germany treats gun ownership as a privilege; one they can strip on a whim and for pretty much any manufactured reason they want. That apparently includes a minority political party that has enough support to seat people in their parliaments, but isn’t popular enough with the governing authority.

    Now, let’s think about how that might work here.

    How many people have decided that the Republican Party is racist or extremist? What about the Libertarian Party? What about the National Rifle Association, which New York Attorney General Letitia James once referred to as a terrorist organization? Do you think that anyone who had this kind of power over who can and cannot own guns wouldn’t use it against members of those groups at some point in time?

    Note that one of the three isn’t even a member of AfD anymore. He just hasn’t distanced himself sufficiently from AfD, which means that just not renewing your membership in these entities wouldn’t necessarily be enough. You have to vocally denounce them in hopes that you won’t be viewed as the first one to stop clapping.

    I honestly don’t care about AfD’s politics. I’m sure I disagree with at least some, if not most, of what they stand for.

    It. Doesn’t. Matter.

    The right to keep and bear arms is a right, not a privilege. That means it doesn’t just extend to those I agree with. People I disagree with on literally everything political, cultural, religious, and anything else still have that right. I maintain their right to keep and bear arms so that we don’t see this AfD nonsense play out here, and it starts to be turned on me and mine.

    So I thank God and the Founding Fathers for the Second Amendment. I’m so glad we’re not having to deal with this, but I’m also cognizant of the fact that this is where we could easily head if many people got their way.

    A crazed individual with a seething hatred for Big Pharma gunned down an innocent worker in a Luigi Mangione-style ambush this week.

    As ABC News reported, 30-year-old Narciso Gallardo Fernandez entered a Madera, California Walgreens at roughly 9;30 p.m Monday night and allegedly murdered employee Erick Velasquez. The suspect proceeded to shoot at other employees in the store as they ran.

    Before allegedly killing Velasquez and trying to gun down the others, Fernandez shot out a security camera in an apparent effort to cover up his horrific crime.

    Madera Police Chief Giachino Chiaramonte told ABC News that Fernandez did not know Velasquez. He went on to explain that Fernandez told investigators he hates big pharmacies.

    According to Chiaramonte, the pharmacy was closed at the time of the incident. Moreover, Velasquez was not a pharmacist.

    In addition to being a worker at Walgreens, Velazquez was a husband and the father of two children.

    To commit the heinous crime, Fernandez drove more than 80 miles from Pixley to the Madera store according to Chiaramonte. The shooter was arrested outside the Walgreens in the parking lot, where he was reloading his gun when officers arrived.

    This incident brings to mind what happened to United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December. As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson previously reported, Thompson was shot in the chest in December outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan in what was a targeted attack by a leftist who hated pharmaceutical companies.

    His killer, Mangione, was apprehended on December 9 at McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, following a nationwide manhunt. The Trump Administration is determined to ensure this cold-blooded monster pays the ultimate price for taking Thompson’s life.

    Chiaramonte, though, said he does not believe Mangione inspired by Mangione’s crime despite some similarities between the two incidents.

    Fernandez is now in jail on multiple felony charges, including murder. ABC News reports that Fernandez will appear in court today.

    On Tuesday, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet and the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government about judicial overreach.

    Gingrich called the unprecedented number of injunctions a potential “judicial coup d’etat” that “clearly violates the Constitution and more than 200 years of American history.”

    Below are his opening remarks courtesy of Gingrich360.com.

    I thank Chairmen Issa and Roy, Ranking Members Johnson and Scanlon, and all the members of the Subcommittees for allowing me to testify. There is clearly a potential constitutional crisis involving the Judicial Branch’s effort to fully override the Legislative and Executive branches.

    Fifteen District Judges effectively seized control of various Executive Branch duties in the first six weeks of the current presidency through nationwide injunctions. This is potentially a judicial coup d’etat. It clearly violates the Constitution and more than 200 years of American history.

    To set the stage for this hearing, let me mention 12 former federal judges appointed by President John Adams: Richard Bassett, Egbert Benson, Benjamin Bourne, William Griffith, Samuel Hitchcock, Phillip Barton Kay, Jeremiah Smith, George Keith Taylor, Oliver Wolcott Jr., Williams McClung, Charles Magill, and Williams Tilghman.

    President Adams appointed these Federalist judges on his way out of office to hamstring in-coming President Thomas Jefferson’s agenda.

    President Jefferson concluded that impeaching the judges would take too much time. He and the Congress simply abolished the courts in which they served via the Judiciary Act of 1802.

    This is constitutional balance of power. The Legislative and Executive Branches can reshape the Judiciary Branch. It is a useful reminder in considering the current situation.

    Unelected lower-court judges have been steadily grabbing power for years. It was such an obvious threat that in 2012, Vince Haley and I wrote “Bringing the Court Back under the Constitution.” It is an historic study which I am submitting for the Record.

    According to Harvard Law Review, there were 96 nationwide injunctions ordered by District Courts from 2001 to 2023. Two-thirds of them (64) were issued during President Trump’s time in office. Furthermore, 92 percent of the injunctions against President Trump were issued by judges appointed by Democratic presidents.

    Since January 20, 2025, lower courts have imposed 15 nationwide injunctions against the current Trump administration. This is compared to six during George W. Bush’s eight-years, 12 during Barack Obama’s eight years, and 14 during Joe Biden’s four-year term.

    The notion that unelected lawyers can micromanage the Executive Branch – and override a Commander in Chief who received 77.3 million votes – should trouble every American.

    This is particularly troubling for issues of national defense and public safety. Around 500 B.C., Sun T’zu asserted in The Art of War that “speed is the essence of war.” How can the United States have speed in national security issues if opponents can judge-shop to find someone ambitious or arrogant enough to block, repudiate, or delay the President’s decisions?

    There are 677 authorized district judgeships. How many think they can override duly elected Presidents?

    This summary statement has four propositions:

    First, the courts have often been challenged.

    President Jefferson wrote “judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions… would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy.”

    President Andrew Jackson was in constant fights with the Supreme Court.

    President Abraham Lincoln made the Dred Scott decision expanding slavery a center piece of his 1858 senatorial campaign. In his first inaugural President Lincoln warned that if the Supreme Court had supreme rule, “the people will have ceased to be their own rulers, having to that extent practically resigned their Government into the hands of that eminent tribunal.”

    Second, as the Judiciary Act of 1802 proves, the Legislative and Executive branches can constitutionally defend their rights – and they have in the past. It is historically and constitutionally wrong to think the Legislative and Executive branches are helpless against Judiciary actions.

    Third, the Supreme Court could intervene to eliminate this attack on the Executive Branch by District Judges.

    Chief Justice Roberts could end the growing confrontation by establishing a rule that any nationwide injunction issued by a District Court against the Executive Branch would be suspended in implementation and immediately taken up by the Supreme Court. This would remedy the lengthy appeals process.

    Fourth, the Congress and the President can take decisive steps toward bringing the Judiciary back into a constitutional framework.

    This hearing is a good first step. There could be a series of hearings on the constitutional and historic framework which ensures no single branch of government can acquire dictatorial powers – specifically the Judiciary in this committee.

    These hearings would educate the members and the American people. They would create a national understanding of the need to defend the Constitution against overreaching branches of government.

    I would also recommend the Congress pass Chairman Issa’s No Rogue Rulings Act, which is a good signal to the Courts that they have gone too far.

    The highly-publicized arrest of a 17-year-old double-homicide suspect in Pierce County, Washington over the weekend serves as a stark reminder that restrictive gun control measures which affect only law-abiding citizens do not prevent—and never will—the criminal misuse of firearms.
    It’s the “dirty-little-not-so-secret” failure of the gun prohibition movement.

    The teen, identified as Isaiah Davion Williams, has been charged as an adult on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, according to Seattle’s KOMO, the local ABC affiliate.

    Coverage of the incident and the suspect by the Seattle Times goes into greater detail. In 2024, the suspect “pleaded guilty…to two counts of third-degree assault for an incident in which he used a gun as a ‘bludgeon’ to hit a woman in the face repeatedly” in 2023. Also in 2023, he was charged with fourth-degree assault by King County prosecutors for allegedly hitting another teenage boy in his school locker room.”

    In the assault case, the Times revealed, “A judge ordered his juvenile rehabilitation sentence be suspended in favor of community supervision, which included mental health treatment and volunteer work.” In the other assault case, “That charge was dismissed as part of a resolution through his guilty plea to third-degree assault,” the newspaper said.

    Lastly, Williams “pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm for allegedly attempting to enter the King County Superior Courthouse with a loaded firearm, that police later determined was stolen from a gun dealer.”
    This is hardly a problem confined to Washington state. CBS News is reporting the arrest of a 17-year-old in Ramsey County, Minn., “after authorities say they confiscated at least 10 ghost guns or handguns equipped with switch devices.”
    The CBS report noted, “The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office reported that a raid on a home on the east side of St. Paul resulted in the recovery of “ghost guns, automatic machine guns, multiple extended magazines and enough ammunition for multiple drive-by shootings.”

    Out in Marin County, Calif., the San Jose Mercury News is reporting investigators “arrested a federal probationer on allegations of methamphetamine sales and gun offenses.” When lawmen searched the suspect’s home in San Rafael and a storage unit in Richmond, they reportedly found 14 firearms, including stolen guns.

    Meanwhile, WKRN in Nashville, Tenn., is reporting the arrest of a 34-year-old man on probation for offenses in 2022. Police reportedly found more than 300 grams “of powder that tested positive for fentanyl” along with “a fully loaded Glock handgun with an extended magazine, a Taurus handgun and a short-barreled AR-15.”

    The common denominator in all of these cases is the criminal backgrounds and/or underage possession of firearms. Teenagers, like convicted adult felons, cannot legally purchase handguns anywhere, and they cannot legally carry concealed handguns, yet in the Pierce County case, the two people killed were both apparently carrying guns. One was 19 and the other 15, published reports say.

    Google up the term “illegal gun possession” and one might come up with reports like the one in the Laredo Morning Times describing charges against a Texas man who possessed firearms. The suspect is a convicted felon.

    Over in Evansville, Ind., a recidivist named Marquell Lockridge is off to prison after being convicted of illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to WFIE News.
    The gun prohibition lobby and its allies in state legislatures and on Capitol Hill either don’t “get it” or actually don’t care that criminals ignore gun control laws. All of the restrictive measures adopted anywhere in the country only affect law-abiding citizens. Honest people are inconvenienced, penalized and presumed to be guilty of crimes which haven’t been committed.

    Critics of tougher gun laws—the grassroots gun rights activists—believe all of the restrictions are actually designed to discourage people from exercising their Second Amendment-protected right to keep and bear arms.

    For example, out in Washington, anti-gun lawmakers are pushing legislation House Bill 1163, which requires a permit-to-purchase a firearm. This mandate would include completion of a gun safety course, including a live-fire exercise, and starting in November 2026, would also apply to obtaining and renewing concealed pistol licenses. If the law is adopted, firearms rights groups have already vowed to mount challenges in court. The bill is up for a hearing this Friday before the Senate Ways and Means Committee.
    How this might affect Washington CPL applications remains to be seen. The state Department of Licensing told Ammoland News that March ended with 700,943 active CPLs. The number is up from February’s 699,350 active licenses.
    It amounts to a signal that Evergreen State residents are not buying any of the arguments that stricter gun control laws will make them safer. With more than 21 million active carry licenses across the U.S., people in other states have obviously reached the same conclusion while anti-gun politicians continue to bury their heads in the sand.

  14. Man’s Suggestion to Shoot ICE Agents Really Just Terrible Advice

    While we don’t spend a lot of time discussing immigration policy here, for obvious reasons, it’s important to note that we’ve seen a lot of illegal immigrants–I can’t call them “illegal aliens” because I’m way too into science fiction–are involved in criminal enterprises, including gangs. They’re not all here trying to work for the American Dream, no matter what is being peddled by some.

    And Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, has been working overtime to round up the legions of illegal immigrants who crossed the border over the last four years. That includes scooping some right off the streets.

    While many are upset by this tactic, there’s not actually anything wrong with it.

    But one guy offered some advice to illegal immigrants who face this kind of thing. He said to just shoot the ICE agents.

    A TikTok user posted a disturbing video on the popular social media website, calling on people to “shoot at ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] agents on sight.”

    “Shoot at ICE agents on sight. That’s right. If ICE agents are trying to take you or a loved one, shoot them on sight,” TikTok user belal_donq said in his video.

    The user claimed agents had been showing up in masks, unmarked vehicles, and without their badges, claiming that the agents “could be anybody.”

    “The way they’re pulling up with masks on, with unmarked vehicles, no badge, no nothing. It could be anybody. It can be gang members. You have every right to shoot at them,” he continued. “This would be the best self-defense case. You’re just in fear for your life. You don’t know who’s behind that unmarked vehicle or who’s behind that mask.”

    Now, there’s been pushback on this advice, including from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

    And let’s understand, self-defense isn’t quite as much of a slam dunk as this dude suggests.

    Sure, they may not be decked out in ICE gear, but if they identify themselves as ICE agents in any way, your claim of self-defense evaporates. Yes, they could be lying, but when they’re not, the courts tend to take a dim view of such actions.

    Yet let’s say they didn’t. Let’s say that it was universally understood that you didn’t have to take the word of law enforcement officers when they’re not in full uniform or something.

    It’s still terrible advice.

    For one thing, different states have different standards for self-defense. If they open fire from the jump, for example, they might or might not get away with it. While that might fly in a Stand Your Ground state, a duty to retreat state might prosecute you for the shooting because you made no attempt to retreat.

    Not that it will matter, though, because these raids involve multiple ICE agents or other federal law enforcement officers. If their target pulls a gun, they’re going to pull theirs and light the poor sucker up. He won’t have to worry about deportation, of course, but he will be burdening his family with funeral expenses.

    And that’s not even getting into the fact that the courts have held that illegal immigrants don’t enjoy Second Amendment protections of their gun rights. So even if they don’t kill anyone or get killed, they’re still looking at prison time before their deportation.

    On every level, this guy is offering terrible advice that will, at best, land people in prison if they listen to it. It won’t stop deportations except in the cases where the illegal immigrant is too dead to deport.

    Then again, this is also what happens when ignorant people try to offer self-defense advice in general. In this case, it’s about immigration, but I think we’ve all heard of ridiculous self-defense advice not that different, and really, everyone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about should shut the hell up.

    President Trump’s National Security Advisor Mike Waltz’s staffers set up at least 20 other Signal chat groups to discuss Ukraine, China, Russia and more.

    At least four people added to the Signal groups anonymously told Politico about the chats.

    Politico reported:

    National security adviser Mike Waltz’s team regularly set up chats on Signal to coordinate official work on issues including Ukraine, China, Gaza, Middle East policy, Africa and Europe, according to four people who have been personally added to Signal chats.

    Two of the people said they were in or have direct knowledge of at least 20 such chats. All four said they saw instances of sensitive information being discussed.

    Mike Waltz is already under fire for adding The Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg to a Signal chat group with high-ranking Trump Administration officials discussing the successful attack on Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

    According to investigative reporter Paul Sperry, Mike Waltz was a source for Jeffrey Goldberg while he was serving on the House Intel Committee.

    Anthony Fauci is having a terrible day after the Trump Administration started cleaning house at the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

    As The New York Times reported, the Trump administration on Tuesday laid off thousands of federal health workers as part of cuts announced last week. The firings included several senior leaders and government scientists.

    The bloodbath also included entire units focused on promoting ‘reproductive health’ (abortion), and gun control. How refreshing that American tax dollars will no longer fund baby killing and Second Amendment restrictions at the agency.

    As TGP readers may know, the HHS has been conducting mass layoffs across the department, affecting roughly 10,000 full-time jobs. According to NBC News, these cuts are part of HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s plan to drain the swamp and reshape the agency.

    RFK Jr. is working with Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and wants to reduce the health department’s workforce from 82,000 to 62,000.

    TGP readers will be especially thrilled to learn that two of Tuesday’s casualties were Fauci’s wife, Christine Grady, and Dr. Clifford Lane from their positions at N.I.H.

    Grady headed the N.I.H. Office of Bioethics before being ‘reassigned.’ Lane oversaw clinical research at the department and is considered a close crony of Fauci’s.
