This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.
So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

Europe gives new meaning to the expression “continental drift”.
Canada’s new leader, who wants to align with that rudderless tectonic plate, is proof that it is, in its current configuration, also a highly dysfunctional entity. Ironically, Canada’s traditional yearning for attention from its southern big brother is now fully satiated for all the wrong reasons.
Prior to WW2 tariffs were a way of life. American might and prosperity was built on them. They protected industry, workers and markets. Post WW2 the liberal gamble that rationalized the raising of all boats via free trade is now proven to be a lost gamble. Massively so, in fact. The result is the rise of a communist Chinese competitor that is fundamentally incompatible with our own values. Strength now comes by creating a new American model based not on what we wish the world will be, but rather on the economic realities a new statecraft is able to work with to rectify the consequences of the post WW2 model. Better late than never. To be clear, this model of international largesse slowly hollowed out American manufacturing. So wayward was the ruling class thinking up until recently, in fact, that many can recall Obama proudly championing the service economy he tried to promote. Yes, he was a menace trying to destroy the United States.
But the real mystery is how a country with so many brilliant people allowed itself to be so mislead for so long. Politics is its own weird animal, I guess. So is the information battlespace.
President Trump, his genius gene fully intact, realized he had no choice but to kick over the table. Time is too precious. And it doesn’t matter if many or even most of the people cannot yet see what he sees. I dare say there were others touting the inclusion of Canada as a U.S. state even before PT thought of it, possibly, because such an opinion was expressed on this blog at least five years ago. So maybe he got the idea of a single asset within arm’s reach, offering the possibility of American solvency, here first. One can fantasize.
Fear of the future is dispelled by greater understanding. The President’s plan does not come without risks, but the risks of continuing to cultivate creeping statist collectivism are deadly. Just look at Canada to see how a country dies while hypnotized by soft words and recreational drugs–the Nanny dictatorship. The new world will be harshest for those who still wish to suck their thumb.
We will repatriate manufacturing if we stick with the plan. Our lives will change. Canada will be revived as its better old self, but under the Stars and Stripes. Those who don’t yet see this, will.

Iranian state media IRNA said on March 16 that “the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami said that Yemen’s Houthi “resistance movement makes its decisions independently.” He said that Iran is not involved in Houthis’ decisions.
It appears that Iran may be distancing itself from the Houthis or at least trying to insulate itself from responses if the Houthis carry out attacks. Iran doesn’t seem to want to confront the US at this time challenges…
