Mandatory volunteerism. Reckless altruism. Democratic tyranny. Deathless euthanasia.

I’m just trying to make up equivalent nonsensical expressions that mimmick the Left’s facility with language to shoehorn self-destructive laws or policies into target countries. These would be relatively homogenous countries and cultures resisting such population replacement. The language is seductive in its superficial sonnance, but menacing in its brutal effectiveness. To make matters worse it comes from a foreign source that is not representative of the country it wants to obliterate.

The people responsible for this linguistic violence are clearly Satanic Jesus worshippers.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that South Africa’s Ambassador to the United States, Ebrahim Rasool, has been officially declared persona non grata—a diplomatic designation reserved for foreign officials deemed unacceptable by a host country.

The decision follows a series of inflammatory remarks from Rasool, who openly accused former President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement of leading a so-called “global white supremacist movement.”

According to Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961), when a diplomat is declared persona non grata by the host country, they are effectively ordered to leave the country within a specified timeframe, often 24 to 72 hours, depending on the severity of the situation.

The diplomat’s home country is usually notified through formal diplomatic channels, and their government may choose to recall them voluntarily before forcible expulsion. If the diplomat refuses to leave, the host country can take measures to deport them.

Rubio took to X to make the announcement, writing:

“South Africa’s Ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome in our great country.

Ebrahim Rasool is a race-baiting politician who hates America and hates POTUS.

We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered PERSONA NON GRATA.”

The announcement was accompanied by an article from Breitbart exposing Rasool’s outrageous comments during a foreign policy seminar in Johannesburg hosted by the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA).

During the seminar, Rasool launched into a full-scale attack against Trump, his supporters, and conservative movements across the Western world.

He claimed that Trump’s America First policies, opposition to radical left-wing globalist institutions, and criticism of South Africa’s socialist-style land expropriation were all part of a “white supremacist assault on incumbency.”

In his rambling address, Rasool suggested that Trump’s fight against globalism was fueled by racial animosity, rather than a defense of national sovereignty and constitutional principles.

He absurdly stated that Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement was a response to shifting U.S. demographics, portraying it as a desperate bid to maintain “white power.”

Rasool didn’t stop there—he outrageously accused South African Afrikaner farmers, who have been brutally targeted in land expropriation policies, of being part of a global effort to promote “white victimhood.”

    Transcript via Breitbart:

What Donald Trump is launching is an assault on incumbency, those who are in power, by mobilizing a supremacism against the incumbency, at home, and — I think I’ve illustrated — abroad as well.

So in terms of that, the supremacist assault on incumbency, we see it in the domestic politics of the USA, the MAGA movement, the Make America Great Again movement, as a response not simply to a supremacist instinct, but to very clear data that shows great demographic shifts in the USA in which the voting electorate in the USA is projected to become 48% white. And that the possibility of a majority of minorities is looming on the horizon.

And so that needs to be factored in, so that we understand some of the things that we think are instinctive, nativist, racist things, I think that there’s data that, for example, would support that, that would go to this wall being built, the deportation movement, et cetera et cetera.

So I think I’d mention that. I think that there is also an export of the revolution. It’s no accident that Elon Musk has involved himself in UK politics, and elevated a Nigel Farage and the Reform movement, in much the same way that he was instructed that on his way to the Munich security summit, Vice President Vance addressed the Alternative für Deutschland [AfD] to strengthen them in their election campaign. nd that, then, begins to say, what then was the role of Afrikaners in that whole makeup. And very clearly, it’s to project white victimhood as a dog whistle that there is a global protective movement that is beginning to envelop embattled white communities or apparently embattles white communities.

It may not be true, it may not make sense, but that is not the dog whistle that is being heard in a global, white base. So I think we need to understand all of that. Another discontinuity — it’s almost that they are pitting a supremacist insurgency against the incumbency.

  3. BIDEN DIDN’T PARDON, HE ERASED THE LAW
    The Prison to Community Pipeline
    Ann Coulter
    Mar 12, 2025

A snippy article in The New York Times this past weekend — sorry, an unusually snippy article in The New York Times this past weekend — suggested that Trump is using his pardon power to reward those loyal to him and undo what he sees as politically motivated prosecutions. If true, this would make Trump only the 47th president to use his authority this way.

The media’s interest in presidential pardons seems sudden.

Just a few months ago, President Biden granted a blanket clemency to 1,500 criminals in a single day; overruled federal law on capital punishment by rescinding it for 37 of the 40 federal death row prisoners; and nullified federal drug laws by commuting the sentences of 2,500 alleged “nonviolent drug offenders,” in what his White House boasted was “the largest single-day grant of clemency in modern history.”

The Times is worried about Trump abusing the presidential pardon? If Trump were selling pardons at a card table at Mar-a-Lago like merch at comic con, it could not compare to the lawlessness of Biden using the pardon power to repeal federal law. With the stroke of a pen, the dementia patient — or whomever was functioning as president — thumbed his nose at the legislative and judicial branches, the U.S. Code, his own law enforcement officers, the federal judiciary, and, most of all, citizens voting in a democracy (that thing that dies in darkness).

For decades, the progressive wish list has had at the top of the lineup: 1) decriminalizing drugs, 2) decriminalizing illegal immigration, 3) decriminalizing crime and 4) abolishing the death penalty. They push their pro-criminal agenda with Alice in Wonderland locutions, like “mass incarceration,” “the school-to-prison pipeline,” “failed drug war,” “black bodies,” “alternatives to incarceration,” “the new Jim Crow,” “nonviolent drug offenses” and “the defendant was just signed by the Los Angeles Lakers.”

But no matter how they try to camouflage it, these are such obviously crackpot ideas, they’ve been adopted only in a few open-air drug markets, like the entire states of California, Oregon and Washington. Unable to convince a majority of Americans not currently wearing ankle monitors that murderers, rapists and other psychopaths should roam free among us, liberals simply defy the law with moratoriums, executive orders, court rulings and, in Biden’s case, across-the-board mass clemencies.

For example, in contempt of California voters’ clear endorsement of the death penalty in 2016, just three years later, Gov. Gavin Newsom imposed a moratorium on capital punishment. His solidly Democratic constituents have adamantly refused to halt the death penalty in statewide initiatives at least four times. What else can they do? Give everybody on death row the COVID jab?

Forget Biden’s issuing preemptive pardons to Anthony Fauci, members of the Jan. 6 committee, the special prosecutors who hounded Trump, his own multiple-convict son, Hunter, and to be safe, “anyone with the last name Biden.” He used the presidential pardon to overturn federal criminal law, just as he used Alejandro Mayorkas to overturn immigration law.

The 4,000 criminals granted clemency by Biden were in prison only after undergoing a lengthy, meticulous, painstakingly fair process in the most advanced criminal justice system in the world. So many obstacles are thrown in the way of prosecutors (exclusionary rule, Miranda, double jeopardy, jury nullification, fruit of the poisoned tree, etc.) that it’s a miracle they get any convictions even of obviously guilty people — as long as the defendant’s name isn’t “Trump” and the trial isn’t in New York or D.C.

But after all that, Biden tossed out the hard work of Congress, federal law enforcement and the judiciary, and imposed his own law: The death penalty is abolished, drugs are legal and crime will not be punished.

Out of pure spite against those of us who, oddly enough, would prefer to keep serial killers, rapists, arsonists and drug kingpins in prison, the media enragingly claim that the thousands of criminals Biden sprung were merely guilty of “nonviolent drug offenses.”

They are referring to the crime of record, which is never what the guy actually did, a fact well known to anyone familiar with the law, police procedural shows on TV or the expression “plea bargaining.”

Unsafe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

As the Times itself has reported, 97% of federal prosecutions end with a plea bargain. You don’t plea to the worst thing you did. You plea to the bare minimum to spare the state a trial. “Possession” of guns or drugs shows up in a lot of plea deals because 1) almost all criminals have guns or drugs on them; 2) guns and drugs can’t be intimidated out of testifying; and 3) Hunter Biden.

The truth is something like this:

    Actual crime: Homicide

    Plea bargain: Manufacturing of narcotics

Actual crime: Assault with a deadly weapon

    Plea bargain: Distribution of narcotics

    Actual crime: Rape

    Plea bargain: Possession of narcotics

Even so, only about 0.7% of drug offenders in federal prison have “possession” as the crime of record.

But now, thanks to Biden’s unprecedented abuse of the pardon power, they’re all walking free, able to vote and buy guns. Solely because of these clemencies, thousands of Americans, happily going about their lives today, will, within the next few years, be murdered, raped, assaulted, brain-damaged, robbed, stolen from, set on fire, etc., etc., unexpectedly beating Biden to the grave.

What do you call a leader who does not feel bound by the law, but makes his own law by diktat? Autocr-something? It reminds me of a time, long ago, when a leader came to power in Germany …

But, sure, New York Times, try to make a big issue of Trump contemplating a pardon for reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley.

Several years ago, a seven-year-old boy was suspended from school for chewing his breakfast pastry into the shape of a gun and pretending to fire it at his second grade classmates.

A school official stated the child had “used food to make inappropriate gestures that disrupted the class.” Only after his parents hired a lawyer and pursued legal proceedings was the matter finally settled, some three years later.

In another incident, a principal suspended a ten-year old boy for pointing a “lookalike firearm” at another student and pretending to shoot, where the “level 2 lookalike firearm” cited in the suspension letter was the child’s finger. Elsewhere, a five-year-old girl was suspended from kindergarten for bringing a “fake weapon” to school – a Disney princess “battery-powered clear plastic gun that blows bubbles when the trigger is pulled.” Another five-year old kindergartner was disciplined after bringing a “Hello Kitty” bubblegun to school and saying to her friends, “I’ll shoot you, you shoot me, and we’ll all play together.” This earned her a ten-day suspension (later dropped to two days) for her “terroristic threat,” and the school imposed a “medical/psychological evaluation” as part of its disciplinary response. The evaluating therapist described the child as a “typical 5-year-old by temperament and interests,” who had “no harmful or predatory intent” in making the comments or displayed any behavioral problems. The school reportedly only downgraded the incident from a “terroristic threat” to the slightly less shocking “threat to harm others” because no criminal complaint was made “due to (the) ages of the children” involved.
In all of these cases, the schools argued the disciplinary action was the most appropriate way to address the behavior.

Besides the unfavorable disciplinary record that follows the child in their progress through the school system, being unfairly stigmatized as mentally unstable or violent, and the possible referral to the juvenile justice system, it now appears these kinds of behaviors may also result in the issuance of restraining orders under a state’s “red flag” law.

Like other such laws, Michigan’s “red flag” law (aka the Extreme Risk Protection Order Act), has scant due process protections. The legislation specifically allows the issuance of orders against minors, uses an expansive definition of “possession or control” of a firearm, and allows for the confiscation of guns from persons who are not the subject of the order.

A Michigan court may issue an extreme risk protection order “ex parte” – without written or oral notice to the subject of the order or an opportunity to respond to the allegations. If the petitioner is a law enforcement officer, he or she may apply for an immediate emergency order “verbally over the telephone,” without a written petition, and the judge or magistrate may issue the order based solely on that request.

The threshold finding a court must make to justify the issuance of an order is evidence that the restrained person “can reasonably be expected within the near future to intentionally or unintentionally seriously physically injure himself, herself, or another individual by possessing a firearm, and has engaged in an act or acts or made significant threats that are substantially supportive of the expectation.”

The law went into effect on February 13, 2024. A Michigan State report on how the law has been applied throughout 2024 shows that over 90% of orders issued against adults (348 out of 384) were issued ex parte, including 111 law enforcement “immediate emergency orders.” The likelihood of an order being issued this way was extremely high: of the 338 complaints disposed of ex parte, only 65 were denied. The report specifies that the age of respondents was unknown in 41% of cases, but did involve those under the age of 19 in at least five cases. All of the orders sought against minors were issued ex parte.

According to The Detroit News, which did additional research into the matter, the law has been invoked against children as young as six, eight, and ten years old. An order being issued against a child means that firearms at the family home are liable to be confiscated regardless of actual ownership, given that “possession and control” is an open-ended definition. The newspaper quoted a Michigan legislator who confirmed that the law “allows officers to confiscate unsecured firearms from parents or guardians even though the actual order is in the child’s name,” and that aspect “was something we were very intentional about.”

The details The Detroit News shared on the cases involving the elementary school–aged respondents indicate that the six-year-old was allegedly “experiencing a mental health crisis” and disclosed “that he had ready access to firearms.” Police who came to the home to seize the guns found that the guns had been previously removed. The eight-year-old respondent had allegedly threatened to kill individuals and had “kicked, punched, and tried to bite a school resource officer and school staff.” His mother told police her guns were secured (“locked up”), but they were confiscated by law enforcement regardless. The order there was reportedly due to expire, and it appears any danger was either unsubstantiated or has abated, as police state they had no plans to seek an extension. The case of the ten-year-old involved alleged “threats to shoot another student in school,” but the order in his case was reportedly cancelled and police found no evidence that the child had access to a firearm.
Of course, school officials should take seriously and respond appropriately to actual violence, threats of violence, and intimidation or bullying.

However, these orders prohibit the restrained person from purchasing a firearm, which, in the case of a minor, federal law prohibits anyways: a licensed firearm dealer is prohibited from selling or delivering a long gun to anyone under the age of 18; the minimum age for handgun sales and deliveries by dealers is 21. As for possession and access, Michigan state law already makes it a crime, subject to listed exceptions, for any person to store or leave a firearm unlocked or otherwise unsecured in circumstances where a minor is able to possess or exhibit the firearm in a public place, exhibit the firearm in a careless, reckless, or threatening manner, or use the gun to cause injury or death. Another state law makes a custodial parent criminally liable when a minor violates a state gun law on school property or a school bus.

In any event, it’s not clear how a violation of a “red flag” order can be enforced against such young children. A violation normally subjects the restrained individual to immediate arrest, the contempt powers of the court, an automatic extension of the order, and criminal penalties, including imprisonment for up to one year for an initial violation and up to five years for a subsequent violation. Legislative reforms signed into law by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2019, on who is considered to be an adult under the state criminal justice system, increased the age from 17 to 18 years old. Whitmer cited the “unjust practice of charging and punishing our children as adults when they make mistakes” and the need to ensure “that children have access to due process that is more responsive to juveniles” – none of which apply in the civil “red flag” context.

The “red flag” response not only escalates a very young child’s disciplinary problems towards “solutions” crafted for adults, but there’s no requirement to deal with whatever triggers the problematic behavior. The Detroit News makes no mention of any resources being deployed to address the mental health of the children, assuming that all of these orders were issued after meeting the necessary legal threshold of a reasonable expectation, in the near future, that the child would cause serious physical injury to self or others. In this, the Michigan law, in common with other “red flag” laws, deals only with the superficial issue of curtailing access to firearms and requires nothing to be done about the underlying behavioral issues or other factors that allegedly pose the real threat to physical safety.

In the case of a child, the order allows law enforcement to confiscate firearms from parents, guardians or other persons whose guns are on the premises, even though the order applies exclusively to the child. This opens the door to its use as a law enforcement “fishing expedition” that bypasses search warrants and other investigatory requirements. The American Civil Liberties Association (ACLU) opposed a Rhode Island “red flag” law for many reasons, not the least of which was this possibility of misuse. One could easily imagine how the low standard for judicial intervention, including by law enforcement as petitioners, means that these orders could be deployed “in scenarios far outside” the intended context. “Filing, and being granted, such a petition has the additional bonus of serving as a general search warrant that could conveniently allow police to ‘stumble across’ evidence of unrelated illegal activity” while looking for guns to seize pursuant to an order.

Interestingly, the Michigan report on the “red flag” law in its first year notes that at least 31 individuals restrained by an order “were charged with 74 criminal offenses within 30 days of the [order’s] entry.” The list of charges includes several weapons violations, but also illegal drug offenses, reckless driving, embezzlement, and many more. A footnote indicates that the filing date for the charges is not necessarily the same date that the alleged offense occurred, and it may have occurred before or after the date the order was entered.

“Red flag” laws have been presented as a prudent solution to the problem of violent crime, but any benefits they provide come at the expense of individual due process protections, using an inherently speculative process that that punishes individuals for harm that may never occur. The application of these laws to very young children is even more troubling – what can a barely literate six-year-old possibly understand on being served with a “red flag” court order? Apart from the dismal prospect that these procedures are being used instead of more appropriate public health interventions, the orders grant law enforcement broad authority to search for guns owned or possessed by persons other than the respondent named in the order, exposing anyone on the premises to police intrusion.

The use of kids to target their parents’ or guardians’ rights, property, or privacy is now one more reason to be skeptical of red flag orders. We are now well past the point at which this concept could be considered a commonsense idea that bring all sides of the gun debate together.

Published in Science, Public Health Policy and the law (Manson et. al.) the peer-reviewed study analyzed Florida Medicaid data for 47,155 nine-year olds and found a striking “dose-response” relationship between the number of vaccine visits and the risk of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders — meaning the more vaccines a child received, the greater their risk of developing autism.

The author also notes that the CDC’s vaccine schedule has expanded from 24 doses in them1980s to over 70 today, a change they suggest may be driving the increase in autism rates, which now affect 1 in 36 children compared to 1 in 1,000 in the 1990s.

    Hillary Clinton

Why did the State Department (taxpayers) pay for Hillary Clinton’s 5-star hotel room and rental vehicles in France in 2024?

Hillary Clinton traveled to Bordeaux, France, on February 23, 2024 and the American taxpayer paid for her lavish retreat.

Clinton reportedly traveled to Bordeaux to promote climate change garbage at the World Impact Summit to benefit the Clinton Foundation.

The twice-failed presidential hopeful stayed at the 5-star Mondrian Hotel (a Clinton favorite).

The total cost for the luxury hotel ($16,759.18) and transportation ($22,570.19) set taxpayers back $39,329.37.

Clinton also took a few “personal visits to the city” according to French media,

With US Secret Service detail, luxury hotel accommodations, transportation, food and other demands, who knows what the total cost was for the American taxpayer.

“Hillary Clinton stayed at the five-star Mondrian Hotel in Bordeaux with the utmost discretion. Prior to her arrival, U.S. security services conducted several reconnaissance missions of the premises in close collaboration with their French counterparts. This coordination required considerable logistics, demonstrating the scale of the security efforts deployed to ensure the former U.S. presidential candidate’s safety,” Too Bordeaux reported.

Not only did Hillary Clinton enjoy a taxpayer-funded stay at a 5-star hotel, she demanded to be treated like royalty – or a Hollywood actress and restricted media access.

“Another peculiarity of this visit was Hillary Clinton’s strict adherence to image control. Photographs were only permitted if taken by her personal photographer, except during her masterclass, where a few photographers and cameramen were allowed to capture the opening minutes of her speech. This practice is reminiscent of that of international music stars during their concerts, where media access is strictly regulated,” Too Bordeaux reported last year.

President Trump announced Saturday afternoon he has ordered the U.S. military to take “launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen.”

Last month the Houthis launched unsuccessful surface to air missile attacks on U.S. aircraft flying over the Red Sea.

Unsourced and unverified viral videos and photos posted to social media purport to show large explosions across Yemen on Saturday.

BREAKING: Under President Trump’s orders, the U.S Navy’s Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group carried out an attack on a Houthi target in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen.

For over a year, the Iranian backed Houthis, formally known as Ansarallah, have repeatedly attacked U.S. Navy ships and international commercial shipping (except Chinese ships) in support of Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, hindering maritime traffic in the Suez Canal, Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The Biden administration refused to take decisive action, instead playing defense allowing the Houthis to interfere with the freedom of the seas.

Earlier this week, the State Department followed-up on President Trump’s announcement in January, re-designating the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization four years after Joe Biden reversed Trump’s first term terrorist designation of the Houthis. In January 2024, Biden took a half-step on the Houthis, labeling the group “specially designated global terrorists,” instead of the stronger FTO designation.

Trump’s statement posted to Truth Social:

Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.

Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going. It has been over a year since a U.S. flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.

The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which International Trade and Commerce depends.

Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom. No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World.

To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!

To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable and, we won’t be nice about it!

Excerpt from a report by the New York Times on Trump’s ordered attacks:

The United States began to carry out large-scale military strikes on Saturday against dozens of targets in Yemen controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, according to local news reports and two senior U.S. officials. It was the opening salvo in what American officials said was a new offensive against the militants.

Air and naval strikes ordered by President Trump hit radars, air defenses, and missile and drone systems in an effort to open international shipping lanes in the Red Sea that the Houthis have disrupted for months with their own attacks. The Biden administration conducted several similar strikes against the Houthis but largely failed to restore deterrence in the region.

U.S. officials said the bombardment, the most significant military action of Mr. Trump’s second term, was also meant to send a warning signal to Iran. Mr. Trump wants to broker a deal with Iran to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear weapon, but has left open the possibility of military action if the Iranians rebuff negotiations.

U.S. officials said that airstrikes against the Houthis’ arsenal, much of which is buried deep underground, could last for several days, intensifying in scope and scale depending on the militants’ reaction. U.S. intelligence agencies have struggled in the past to identify and locate the Houthi weapons systems, which the rebels produce in subterranean factories and smuggle in from Iran.

Some national security aides want to pursue an even more aggressive campaign that would lead the Houthis to essentially lose control of large parts of the country’s north, U.S. officials said. But Mr. Trump has not yet authorized that strategy, wary of entangling the United States in a Middle East conflict he pledged to avoid during his campaign.

…The strikes were carried out by fighter jets from the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman, now in the northern Red Sea, as well as by Air Force attack planes and armed drones launched from bases in the region, U.S. officials said.

On Friday, President Trump announced U.S. forces attacked and killed an ISIS leader in Iraq, “Today the fugitive leader of ISIS in Iraq was killed. He was relentlessly hunted down by our intrepid warfighters. His miserable life was terminated, along with another member of ISIS, in coordination with the Iraqi Government and the Kurdish Regional Government. PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!”

  12. Terror Attack Survivor Calls Out Gun Control Effort

The state of Oregon has been going deep down the anti-gun rabbit hole for a while now. Measure 114 is just one of a series of infringements on the right to keep and bear arms, and I don’t care what their anti-gun state Supreme Court has to say about it.

But not everyone in the state is an idiot when it comes to guns.

In fact, one state lawmaker knows first hand how little gun control actually accomplishes. Oregon State Rep. Alex Skarlatos has all the evidence he needs to know better. How? Well, there was this terrorist attack you see…

A release from the 4th District lawmaker, said just one day after the Oregon Court of Appeals upheld Measure 114 – which Skarlatos called, “One of the most extreme gun control laws in American History”, the Democratic supermajority in the state legislature previewed a slate of new gun restrictions. Skarlatos said the proposals unfairly target law-abiding gun owners while doing nothing to address crime or improve mental health.

Skarlatos said, “In 2015, I survived and help stop an attempted mass shooting by an ISIS terrorist on a train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris”. Skarlatos said, “If a terrorist was able to get their hands on a fully automatic AK-47 in the middle of a ‘gun free’ continent, it’s clear that stripping Oregonians of their constitutional rights won’t prevent crime. Instead of attacking responsible gun owners, the Majority should focus on empowering law enforcement and ensuring adequate mental health services”.

The fact that the terrorist in that particular attack was thwarted is largely irrelevant. He still injured four people before Skarlatos and his friends were able to subdue him.

And yes, he got an AK-47. Authorities believe he got it via a Belgian gang which sold the rifle illegally.

Yes, in one of the most gun-controlled regions on the planet.

For all the talk of how great European gun control is, they were still able to provide an ISIS terrorist with a couple of firearms. Skarlatos and his friends helped put the bad guy down, but one of his friends was injured and at least one person nearly died from the attack. He’s seen gun control fail.

Moreover, he’s seen it fail in a time and place where he was disarmed. He and his friends were fortunate. It could have been a whole lot worse for all of them, though I greatly respect their actions that day. Better to die on your feet than sitting on your butt praying the merciless will show mercy.

Oregon is bound and determined to pass new gun control laws. Proponents of these laws claim they will keep guns out of the wrong hands.

Skarlatos’s rise to prominence is proof of just how wrongheaded that entire premise actually is. The wicked shall continue to be wicked. You won’t dissuade them with pathetic attempts to deny them weapons. They’ll find ways around those laws and others.

All they’ll do is make it so when some average citizen has to see a gun pointed at them, they’ll be less than equipped to deal with it.

  13. Lawmakers Pushing Commerce Secretary To Dump Biden Admin’s Gun Export Restriction

A group of 88 members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate are pushing to have the Biden Administration rule restricting firearm exports by law-abiding American manufacturers reversed, and they want it done now.

On March 7, the lawmakers, led by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, R-Tennessee, sent a letter to Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick requesting reversal of the policy, which was part of the Biden Administration’s weaponized attack on gun owners, gun sellers and gun makers.

“As soon as is practically possible, we respectfully request that you rescind the Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security’s (BIS) recent interim final rule (IFR) ‘Revision of Firearms License Requirements,” the letter stated. “This misguided and destructive IFR is costing the American firearms industry nearly $500 million annually while doing nothing to advance U.S. interests or regional stability. Despite numerous attempts to rein in these actions through letters, legislation, hearings, markups and oversight, the Biden BIS ignored Congress and used the IFR to advance the Biden administration’s anti-firearms agenda.”

The letter also referenced President Donald Trump’s recent executive order instructing new Attorney General Pam Bondi to review all orders, regulations, guidance, plans, international agreements and other actions of executive departments and agencies that violate the Second Amendment or furthered the Biden administration’s anti-firearms agenda.

“Section (2)(b)(vii) of the executive order specifically requires the review and remediation of any agency action regarding the ‘processing of applications, to make, manufacture, transfer or export firearms.’ Because this IFR stops the commercial export of firearms, ammunition and related components to over 36 countries and severely limits the ability of American businesses to obtain export licenses, we believe this IFR ought to be addressed immediately.”

For his part, Sen. Lee said now is the time to act to get this onerous restriction off the books.

“For too long, federal agencies have tried to constrict our Second Amendment rights indirectly, in this case by hurting law-abiding gun manufacturers by severely limiting their ability to export firearms,” Sen. Lee said in a press release announcing the legislation. “I look forward to the Trump administration rectifying this unjust rule pushed by Joe Biden’s bureaucrats.”

Rep. Green, who joined Sen. Lee in heading up the effort, said he and the other lawmakers are confident that President Trump’s new commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, will put an end to the unnecessary debacle.

“The Biden-Harris administration’s interim final rule on issuance and renewal of export licenses for certain firearms, related components and ammunition has now lasted almost a year,” Rep. Green said. “With the confirmation of Secretary Lutnick, I trust that this IFR will come to an end. BIS’s actions cost American firearm manufacturers over $500 million annually. It’s time to end this attack on the Second Amendment, and I look forward to immediate action from the Department of Commerce.”
