This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  2. President Donald Trump is expected to fast-track the deportations of many migrants by invoking the Alien Enemies Act, according to multiple media reports.

    Democrats are already denouncing the likely use of the 1798 law which allows fast-track deportations of citizens from nations that are conducting an “invasion or predatory incursion” of the United States.

    Trump is expected to apply the “predatory incursion” charge against Venezuela. But he may also apply the charge to other governments — such as the Cuban or Nicaraguan dictatorships — that gain economic remittances by sending their young men to the United States to work.

  12. I recall that this year (do not recollect the source), a British Columbia Ostrich farm came under a vicious attack.

    A single bird on the farm fell ill, and the farmers isolated and, eventually, after isolation, the farmers killed that bird. The rest of the flock was not infected.

    Yet, the Canadian government is demanding that the whole farm be destroyed – all the birds killed and the land ‘worked over’ if the farm is to continue.

    This farm will be ‘dead by regulation’.

    Seems like a little bit, a single farm with a specific issue – nothing here to see, move on!

    This is the means to bankrupt independent farms.

    We all know (or should know) what comes next: government or Bill Gates owned farms…or equivalent.

    Not good, no matter what metrics you apply.

    As The Gateway Pundit reported, several conservative figures including Nick Sortor, Gunther Eagleman, and Shawn Farash have been swatted over the last couple of days.

    This comes after Infowars journalist Jamie White was brutally murdered in Austin earlier this week while another journalist from the organization got swatted twice.

    Now, independent journalist Breanna Morello has discovered an important clue: the individuals swatting conservative influencers are sending pizza delivery orders to their homes before placing the distress call to 9-1-1. Specifically, the orders are coming from Domino’s and Papa John’s.

    Unless you specifically ordered pizzas from those locations, do not eat the food and contact authorities immediately.

    Meanwhile, Gunther Engleman’s brother, Mike, became the latest swatting victim early this morning in his small Indiana home. Like the other victims, police came locked and loaded, presumably ready to use deadly force if necessary.

    Interestingly, the 911 caller was still on the phone spreading lies to the cops while they were talking to Mike Engleman. Thankfully, Mike has a friendly relationship with the police, and they soon discovered no threat at his home.

    Acting DC attorney Ed Martin weighed in and warned perpetrators that he would prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law if the perps originated there. But this threat is empty if the swatting is coming anywhere else.

    FBI Director Kash Patel has broken his silence regarding the swatting incidents targeting major conservative figures across the country.

    Now, Patel has just issued a response to the swatting incidents that should give comfort to conservatives across America.

    “I want to address the alarming rise in ‘Swatting’ incidents targeting media figures,” Patel wrote on X. “The FBI is aware of this dangerous trend, and my team and I are already taking action to investigate and hold those responsible accountable.”

    “This isn’t about politics—weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers. That will not be tolerated,” he added. “We are fully committed to working with local law enforcement to crack down on these crimes.”

    AbleChild has been closely following the FBI investigation into the parents of Thomas Crooks, the 20-year-old dead suspect in the attempted assassination of President Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, July 13, 2024. Despite no lawsuits or legal actions filed against the Crooks family, the parents have retained Quinn Logue, a high-profile Pittsburgh law firm, raising questions about their involvement and prompting President Trump to call for deeper scrutiny. The FBI is investigating whether Matthew and Mary Crooks had prior knowledge of their son’s plans. How is that going?

    AbleChild sees troubling parallels between this case and past mass shootings, including the Sandy Hook, Newtown, Connecticut killings in 2012. In Sandy Hook, AbleChild was asked by a local mother to investigate whether Adam Lanza was on psychiatric drugs. Despite suing Connecticut’s Chief Medical Examiner for Lanza’s mental health and toxicology records, AbleChild was unable to obtain the release due to financial limitations. The mental health records have never been fully released. The investigation revealed disturbing patterns: Dr. Paul Fox, one of Lanza’s psychiatrists, fled to New Zealand shortly after surrendering his medical license in the U.S. amid allegations of sexual misconduct with a teenage patient. President Trump should really take a closer look at the upcoming spending bill and the shocking amount of money allocated to the behavioral health industry despite their failed mental health outcomes. They just might be key players in the assassination attempt to kill him.

    Chain of Custody: The body on the roof of the ARG Building was left overnight without oversight before being transported to Allegheny Medical Examiner’s office. No Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining jurisdictional roles between state and federal entities has been disclosed.
    Autopsy Report: The full findings remain undisclosed.
    Ballistics Report: Key details about projectiles & weapon matches are missing; vague terms like “consistent with” leave critical questions unanswered.
    Fingerprint Identification: Despite fingerprint background checks conducted by Crooks’ nursing home employer, no match has been confirmed for identifying his body.
    Timing of Parental Call:Reports suggest CNN tipped off the parents before authorities arrived; the timing of the father’s call remains unclear.
    Father’s Weapon Sale: Bizarre information about the father selling the gun to his son and how he handed over the weapon to him on the day of the assassination attempt. Why would the father need to hand him the gun?
    Cell Phone Records: The father’s calls could clarify his actions and concerns on the day of the shooting but have not been released.
    Vehicles and Explosives: Questions remain about Crooks’ car and van, including explosives found and what happened to the van?
    Recent Photos: Lack of clear identification raises concerns and it appears AI-generated footage allegedly showing Crooks walking at the rally was released from an unnamed source that has not be validated.

    It is worth stepping back to examine the larger picture surrounding this case—specifically, the behavioral health companies tied to both Crooks’ parents being behavioral health “experts,” their son’s employer at the skilled nursing home owned by Genesis HealthCare and Indicor, owners of the ARG building.

    Genesis HealthCare’s law firm has been linked to a landmark case that expanded psychotropic drug formularies in the United States. This same law firm played a dual role: representing behavioral health and pharmaceutical interests while also representing a nonprofit that pushed for reforms benefiting their larger client financially. This raises serious concerns about conflicts of interest and how these industries influence government policies for their own gain. This is not the first time AbleChild has seen this shell game.

    Indicor, the company that owns the ARG Building in Butler, PA doesn’t escape a link worth exploring with their behavioral health and psychiatric industry through Roper Technologies’ subsidiaries. Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) and Managed Health Care Associates (MHA) play significant roles: Roger Technologies is a 47% minority stakeholder in Indicor.

    SHP’s Impact: SHP manages patient records across healthcare settings, including behavioral health information. They analyze large datasets, which can influence behavioral health strategies. Their software supports over 3,000 organizations, potentially impacting psychiatric care.

    MHA’s Role: MHA handles patient records for alternate care sites, which may include behavioral health services.

    Roper’s Broader Reach: Roper’s other healthcare companies, like Strata Decision Technology and Sunquest, indirectly support psychiatric care by integrating behavioral health data into patient records. This extensive network underscores their influence on the healthcare industry, including behavioral health and psychiatric care.

    AbleChild has spent over two decades uncovering unethical relationships between pharmaceutical companies, behavioral health industries, and government contracts. These connections often result in harmful outcomes for Americans while funneling taxpayer money into private interests. Why wouldn’t the multiple access points the mental health corporations had to this crime scene and the killer be considered? We know that the gun manufacturing industry had far less access to the killer’s mind, motivitations, and crime scene in comparison.

    The assassination attempt of President Trump in Butler, PA demands a deeper investigation into these ties—Thomas Crooks didn’t act alone, the evidence released to date doesn’t tie his body to the ARG building; and it’s time to take a look. Clearly the behavioral health industry had three major claws in this beastly assassination attempt from the “behavioral health expert” parents, to the skilled nursing home owned by Genesis Healthcare where Crooks was employed, to the ARG building where the body lay without proper chain of custody.

    More than 6000 fighters from Chechnya, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Uyghurs and other countries were involved in the attacks on the coastal cities of Baniyas, Tartus, Jableh, and Latakia, a witness wrote to American pundit Pamela Geller:

    In Baniyas, they were knocking on doors and asking a single question: Are you Alawites? and if the answer is YES they kill everyone in the house, steal whatever they can carry and sometimes burn the house. They threw dead bodies in the sea and then washed the streets and then they called ALJAZEERA news channel (well known with it’s connections to Jihadist groups) to make a report that everything is OK.

    My dad, was an 85 years old retired accountant, lived in our house at the village with my bed-ridden mother who has dementia and depends completely on my dad for her feeding, medicines and personal care. They broke in and shot him in the head with no questions asked. They broke everything that they can break and left his dead body next to my mother.

    For more than 48 hours they did not allow my brother and cousins to reach the house (they put a sniper in front of our house) to bury my dad and to give my mother food and medicines. She almost died.
    They killed my auntie’s husband, who was also in his late 80’s, in front of her few minutes later.
    They burned all the empty houses where people left for their lives.

    My siblings and a lot of people are still hiding and sleeping in the woods. They told people that it is safe to go back home, and when they came back they killed them.

    When a UN committee visited the area, they were lead by HTS and they took them to the villages that they did not attack yet after they threatened those villages to be exterminated if they say anything.

    Russia Today (RT) correspondent Elizabeth Blade spoke to people with relatives in the area, recounting the brutality inflicted upon the Alawite community:

    “It all started on March 6, when we heard shooting and the authorities imposed a curfew. In the morning of March 7, we got in touch with all our family members on our WhatsApp family chat. My brother living in Latakia warned everyone not to leave their houses. And that was the last time we have heard from him”, said a witness Blade calles Marwa (not her real name).

    “Marwa says that after he stopped answering messages, they sent another brother – who lived nearby – to check on him. But when he reached his place, he discovered a dead body, with multiple bullets scattered on the ground. Out of grief and frustration, the brother went out to the street and started shouting at armed men he found in the neighborhood, accusing them of his sibling’s death, a mistake that cost him his life,” RT reports.

    Marwa said people were terrified to be associated with the Alawite sect, preventing them from holding funerals: “I have heard it from at least fifty people. Those gangs would knock on the door and ask residents whether they were Sunni or Alawite. The latter had no chance to survive”.

    Marwa claims that Syrian strongman Al Sharaa’s gangs also engaged in robbery, arson and devastation. “Hundreds of people from my surroundings were so terrified to stay at home that they opted to seek refuge in the forest or the mountains. Many of them spent their nights there, without food and water, with their only hope being to survive the ethnic cleansing,” she said.

    Another witness going by the name Isabella called it an “Alawite-hunting safari”.

    “Some villages near Hmaymeim airport have lost all their men – young and old – who have been assassinated in cold blood. They killed children and women – no distinction – inside their homes, markets, fields and streets. Bodies have been seen everywhere – on the streets and the valleys”.

    In the beginning, HTS terrorists posted large numbers of videos documenting their own crimes and seeming to enjoy the slaughter; however, when international reactions began, commanders began instructing their killers not to film their atrocities.

    “The Al Sharaa administration announced the formation of an independent fact-finding committee to investigate the killings”, RT reports. “Yasser Farhan, the committee’s spokesperson, emphasized that “no one is above the law” and pledged to arrest and prosecute those responsible.”

    Witness Marwa pointed out the government “was originally the sponsor of those factions and their atrocities” and is not likely to fully investigate the massacres.

    “The gangs of (terrorist leader) Al Sharaa changed the clothes on some of those victims, dressing them up in uniforms to show the UN delegations and the Al Jazeera crews that they were fighting armed rebels. The bodies of others were buried to conceal evidence”.

    “UN employees, who visited some of the villages were accompanied by Al Sharaa militants who chose where to take them, and who they could speak to. Before the arrival of the UN staff, villagers were offered packs of bread. Some were given money to change testimony, others threatened with torture and death if they dared to speak the truth”.

    Pamela Geller also posted testimony by a massacre survivor named Bara’a, who lost her husband, brother-in-law, and father-in-law in a brutal attack:

    One of the gunmen came up to me and said, “Give me your phone and your gold,” and he told my mother-in-law the same thing. We gave them our phones and told them we didn’t have any gold.

    My daughter was in my arms, crying. One of the gunmen looked at her and said, “Don’t cry, uncle.” Then, they told my father-in-law and the men, “Come outside,” and told us women to stay inside.

    My daughter clung to her father, crying, “Baba, don’t go.” The same gunman who spoke to her earlier reassured her, “Don’t cry, uncle. Your father will stay inside.” Then, they took Majd and my father-in-law outside, while Bashr went to the sink to wash his face.

    The bastard who stole our phones came back in and asked, “Where’s the guy who was just here?” Then, he ordered, “Come out.”

    They took him outside and shot him in the chest, right at the doorstep.

    I ran out and saw Majd had also been killed, his body lying at the outer gate.

    I held Bashr’s hand as he groaned in pain. “Don’t close your eyes, my love,” I begged him. “I’m going to find a car to take you to the hospital. Just keep your eyes open.”

    Then, the bastard who shot him came back and screamed at me, “Shut up and go inside before I make you next.”

    He stormed into the house again. My daughter clung to me, pulling my hand and pleading,

    “Mama, let’s go. I don’t want you to die like Baba.”

    I picked her up and ran inside, then escaped through the back door to my home on the second floor. From there, I climbed to the rooftop, afraid he would come after me.

    Then, I heard his voice in the street, yelling at my mother-in-law, who had collapsed, wailing and screaming. He told her to shut up. She shouted back, “I won’t shut up, shoot me!” She wandered up and down the pavement, calling out, “They killed my sons! Majd! Bashr! Answer me!”

    She didn’t even know they had also killed my father-in-law-until she tripped over his body on the sidewalk. He had been shot in the head.

    They killed all three of them.

    I hid in the kitchen storage room with my daughter all night, terrified they would come back. They kept returning to loot the homes of the people they had murdered.

    My mother-in-law stayed in the street for three hours, crying and begging the neighbors to help bring the bodies inside, but no one dared open their windows.

    Finally, our neighbor Ammar, after making sure the killers had left, came down and helped her drag the bodies inside.

    Greek City Times recounted the story of 48-year-old Johnny S., a Greek Orthodox Christian from Latakia, who had been confined to his home since the atrocities began March 6.

    “Since then, he has only been out to get water and food, and the electricity has been out for about a week. But on Monday, he had to leave his home for a very important reason: to collect the bodies of his relatives with the help of some friends and bury them,” Greek City Times reports.

    “His 55-year-old cousin, Tony, was leaving with his 20-year-old son, Fadi, from a village outside the city of Latakia when an armed group stopped them and shot at them. Johnny could not go immediately – the risk was too great – but on Monday he and his friends found a closed van and managed to take the bodies of his relatives and transport them to Latakia,” the report states.

    Johnny’s girlfriend’s brother, who was also Orthodox, was murdered in another village, he told Greek City Times.

    “They are targeting all minorities,” he said. “We live in fear, we are in danger and we miss even the simplest things.”

    “I am a proud Greek Orthodox and I will not renounce my identity even if it means death,” Eli H., a 26-year-old engineer who lives in Marmarita, a Christian village in northwestern Syria, told Greek City Times.

    “All of us here fear that the latest show of violence on the Syrian coast, where so many Alawites and Rum (Greek Orthodox Christians) were executed, will spread here, to the provinces of Homs and Hama,” he said, adding that “this is genocide.”

    “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) has taken all our weapons,” Elie said. He and Johnny S. told Greek City Times they want to leave Syria, but there is no safe way out: “Europe is no longer accepting refugees, and it is almost impossible to get a work visa for the United States, Canada or Europe,” Elie says. “It’s like we are prisoners here,” he says, “we exist only to suffer.”

    According to the latest figures published Friday, the British economy contracted by 0.1 percent in January, mainly driven by a decline in manufacturing.

  21. Brady Head Comes Out Swinging Against Restoring Anyone’s 2A Rights

    The gun control lobby loves to proclaim that its the voice of “common sense” when it comes to our right to keep and bear arms, but the truth is that there’s an extremist ideology at the heart of the movement that’s anything but middle of the road.

    Take the issue of restoration of rights. Most Americans believe that convicted felons and others who’ve lost their right to vote should have a pathway to regain that right; either automatically upon the completion of their sentence or through a judicial process of restoration. Those pathways or automatic processes exist in a majority of states, but when it comes to regaining the right to keep and bear arms the situation is far more complex. As the Collateral Consequences Resource Center laid out in a 2020 report, there are wild variances between the states when it comes to both losing and restoring 2A rights, all of which are complicated by the fact that the only federal pathway towards regaining the right to keep and bear arms has been unfunded for decades.

    The Trump administration has been investigating ways to restore the 2A rights of more Americans, potentially including re-funding that federal process, but as Brady head Kris Brown reminded us this week, the anti-gunners believe that once someone’s prohibited, no restoration of their right to keep and bear arms should be possible.

    In a post on Substack, Brown blasted the Trump administration for its push to restore the 2A rights of some Americans, including actor Mel Gibson, who lost his ability to legally own a gun after a no contest plea to a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery more than a decade ago. Brown not only objects to individuals like Gibson being able to own a gun, but to any and all prohibited persons regaining their 2A rights; even those convicted of non-violent offenses. According to her, the only reason why any of this is even being considered is to pad the pockets of gun industry executives.

    There are tens of millions of people who are prohibited from buying guns in the United States. That’s a big, big market to this industry with flagging sales. It’s a market that includes people with a propensity to violence that would love to legally purchase firearms. The more people who have been convicted of crimes buy guns, the richer the industry gets. This creates a dangerous feedback loop—where the industry profits from arming ‘bad guys’, then turns around and convinces Americans to buy guns to protect themselves from the very threat they helped create.

    But the cycle doesn’t end there—what starts as a profit-driven scheme to arm dangerous individuals quickly turns into political influence that fuels even more reckless policies. The more money the gun industry has, the more they can throw at politicians. And that means Donald Trump. In his quest to do the gun industry’s bidding and create new markets for guns—in this case the approximately 24 million felons prohibited from purchasing firearms in this country—Trump would literally sign a death sentence for Americans who have already suffered abuse and near death experiences at the hands of perpetrators only stopped from purchasing firearms by the permanent prohibition put in place by Congress and the Brady Background Check system.

    I don’t think there’s majority support in Congress or the courts to automatically restore the right to keep and bear arms to every prohibited person once their sentence has been completed. A process that would allow individuals who don’t pose a danger to themselves or others to regain their rights, on the other hand, is needed from both a constitutional and pragmatic standpoint, and Brown’s authoritarian impulse is absolutely despicable.

    Without naming any names, I know several individuals who’ve lost their Second Amendment rights because of criminal activity in their early 20s… all of whom have gone on to rebuild their lives, own their own businesses, and become productive members of the community. Yet 10, 15, and even 20 years after their conviction they are still unable to hunt with their kids or teach them gun safety at a range. They’re not even allowed to touch a round of ammunition. And while their spouses aren’t barred under federal law from purchasing or possessing a firearm, none of the prohibited persons that I know have any guns in their home because they worry about the potential legal consequences for them and their partner.

    It’s not just that Kris Brown doesn’t believe Mel Gibson should be able to own a gun. She doesn’t think Bryan Range should have access to his Second Amendment rights either, even though he was sentenced to probation decades ago for the misdemeanor offense of falsifying his income on a food stamp application. Anyone convicted of felony drug possession, even back in the days when a small amount of cannabis could land you in state prison, should be deprived forevermore from keeping or bearing arms according to Brown and the other prohibitionists in the gun control movement.

    I personally believe that once you’ve done your time and completed your sentence, all of your rights should be restored. I recognize, however, that’s a minority viewpoint in the United States. The middle ground between my stance and Brown’s position is that individuals who’ve lost their rights should be able to get them back if they’ve demonstrated they’re not a danger; a position that some courts (and Supreme Court justices like Amy Coney Barrett) have endorsed in recent years. Federal law already allows that to happen, but again, the pathway to restoration has been unfunded for decades thanks to the work of anti-gun groups like the Violence Policy Center.

    The gun control lobby’s position is clear: once prohibited, always prohibited. No redemption is possible in their eyes or their hearts; and a stupid mistake at the age of 18, even for a non-violent offense like cashing a bad check, should forevermore bar you from touching a gun or a round of ammunition. That’s not common sense or constitutional in my book, but an act of cruelty and an abuse of government authority.

  22. An Interesting, Fact-Based Perspective on ‘Gun Deaths’ We Almost Never See

    The term “gun death” is fairly problematic in a lot of ways. First, guns aren’t dying, so there’s that.

    Moreover, it treats all deaths resulting from a gunshot as somehow equal. We don’t see numbers for everyone who dies as the result of an edged implement like a knife or razorblade, for example. We don’t see “gravity deaths” that include people who jump off of a bridge and those tossed out of a 14th story window.

    It’s just the guns.

    But, keeping that in mind, there’s a lot more about the “gun death” discussion that is pretty problematic, including the way things are typically framed. Mostly, it’s a case of trying to lie with statistics. Numbers need context and most stories about these deaths omit a lot of them.

    So it was nice to see something different, which was not what I was expecting when I clicked on a site called “Lawyer Monthly.”

    Based on how the American Bar Association has been regarding guns of late, I expected the usual nonsense. This was different.

    This article explores the latest trends in gun deaths in the U.S., based on data from the CDC, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and other key sources.

    We also dive into public sentiment around gun violence and the policies aimed at addressing it.

    What Share of Murders and Suicides Involve Guns?

    Gun Murders: In 2023, approximately 79% of all murders (17,927 out of 22,830) involved a firearm. This is one of the highest percentages recorded since 1968, the earliest year for which the CDC provides online data.

    Gun Suicides: Guns were used in 55% of all suicides (27,300 out of 49,316) in 2023, which is among the highest percentages since 2000.

    How Have Gun Deaths Changed Over Time?

    While the total number of gun deaths in 2023 was among the highest ever, the rate of gun deaths per capita has been gradually decreasing in recent years. Here’s a look at the numbers:

    13.7 gun deaths per 100,000 people in 2023 (down from 14.2 in 2022 and 14.6 in 2021).
    The peak of 16.3 gun deaths per 100,000 occurred in 1974.

    Now, look at that last statistic. It’s important, and it’s one we often don’t see in the media at all.

    Anti-gunners keep presenting things like total numbers of they cut off the timeline they look at well before 1974, all because they don’t want you to think there’s been a worse time except, maybe, prior to the 1994 Assault Weapon Ban being passed.

    However, this was actually the peak of an increase in the rate that immediately followed the passage of the Gun Control Act in 1968. Homicides, in particular, started trending up at this point, which led to the increase in the overall rate of so-called gun deaths.

    And yes, the gun rate drops even as the total number of “gun deaths” seemingly climbs. That’s because there are more people in the United States now than in 1974. The issue isn’t as big as many want to claim, so they just use the scariest numbers humanly possible.

    After that, things like concealed carry started taking hold with a wave of such regulations kicking off in 1976.

    Let’s also look at suicides for a moment. They make up the lion’s share of “gun deaths,” and that is really by design. It’s so anti-gunners can justify restrictions on all kinds of things, most of which won’t have an impact on suicides even under the most optimistic interpretations of a given bill’s potential impact. Magazine restrictions, assault weapon bans, and a host of other regulations simply couldn’t prevent someone taking their own life.

    Meanwhile, we point out that plenty of people take their lives with non-firearms. As noted above, that’s 45 percent of cases, to be exact. Those include a myriad of methods which are, in fact, successful. It’s unlikely that restrictions specifically tailored to prevent someone from killing themselves with a gun would have any appreciable impact on the total suicide rate, and not just because a lot of people who use them to take their own life already had them.

    I’m a big fan of context, and it’s nice to see a little provided for a change, though it’s just a crumb.

    Still, it’s better than almost anything I expected.

    On Monday, the Oversight Project revealed six criminals were pardoned by Biden’s autopen on December 30, 2022 while Joe Biden was vacationing and golfing in St. Croix.

    On Tuesday, The Oversight Project released new analysis of Biden’s pardons for family members, Dr. Tony Fauci, General Milley, J6 Committee members and Gerald Lundergan.

    On January 19, 2025, just one day before Trump was set to be sworn in as the 47th US President, Joe Biden issued a flurry of pardons to his family members, Fauci and others.

    According to The New York Post’s Steve Nelson, a key Biden aide may have exceeded their authority by unilaterally determining what documents to robo-sign.

    The New York Post knows the name of the key Biden aide, but they did not disclose their identity in Friday’s bombshell report.

    An insider told The New York Post that he feared this key Biden aide: “I feared no one as much as I feared that [staffer]. To me, [the staffer] basically was the president,” the person said. “No one ever questioned [the staffer]. Period.”

    “Everyone” suspected this aide exceeded their authority but no one would dare say anything about it the insider told The Post.

    The insider told The Post’s Steve Nelson: “There is no clarity on who actually approved what — POTUS or [the aide].”

    A key aide to former President Joe Biden may have exceeded their authority by liberally using an autopen to sign official documents, according to two former White House sources, as President Trump’s aides have set up “far more restrictive” rules governing the use of the mechanical device.

    A document obtained by The Post outlines the narrow set of circumstances in which Trump’s signature can be affixed to documents, following controversy this week kicked off by a Heritage Foundation analysis of Biden signatures on various records, including last-minute pardons.

    A small group of officials under both Biden and Trump have been delegated the power to get documents “signed” robotically, but 82-year-old Biden’s perceived cognitive decline has sparked debate about whether some aides may have assumed his wishes in his final stretch as commander-in-chief.

    One Biden White House source told The Post they suspect that a key aide to the then-president may have made unilateral determinations on what to auto-sign. The Post is not publishing that staffer’s name due to the lack of concrete evidence and refutations by other colleagues.

    The Biden aide, who did not respond to requests for comment, would frequently make mention of what “the boss” wanted, the source said, but compatriots would have “no idea” if it was true because the internal culture was to not ask questions.

      Former deputy district attorney Phil Holloway joined The Faulkner Focus to discuss the latest on the legal battles against President Donald Trump’s agenda.

      All 40 illegal migrants held at the Guantánamo Bay U.S. naval base in Cuba have been sent back to the United States and are now being held in Louisiana, two U.S. defense officials told Fox News.

      The group includes 23 “high-threat illegal aliens” who were held at the detention facility on base and 17 migrants who were held at the migrant operations center on base.

      The illegal migrants were transported to Louisiana via Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) aircraft and there are currently no migrants being held at the base and no flights scheduled to arrive with more migrants, the officials said.

      The U.S. defense officials were not told why the 40 migrants were sent back to the United States, and Homeland Security and ICE have not yet responded to any inquiries about why they were sent back and where in Louisiana they are being held.

      It is unclear if the U.S. will continue to hold migrants at the base, commonly known as “Gitmo.” None of the 195 tents that were set up to hold migrants have been used because they do not meet ICE standards, according to several U.S. defense officials, such as having air conditioning and other amenities.

      In late January, President Donald Trump instructed the Pentagon to prepare 30,000 beds at the base to house “criminal illegal aliens” who pose a threat to the American public, adding that putting them there would ensure they do not come back. The president said the move would bring the U.S. one step closer to “eradicating the scourge” of migrant crime in communities, once and for all.

      But the operation to build more tents was halted back in February, just several weeks after it started.

      Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth visited the base in late February and met with troops serving there.

      The 45-square-mile base, located about 430 miles southeast of Miami, is best known for detaining terrorism suspects, including those behind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. It’s been leased from Cuba since 1903 and serves as a key operational and logistics hub for maritime security, humanitarian assistance and joint operations.

      News of the migrants being sent to Louisiana comes as President Donald Trump is reportedly expected to invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 in an effort to pave the way for faster mass deportations of illegal immigrants.

      Trump will use the law to target members of the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, the New York Post reported, citing two sources close to the administration.

      Trump campaigned on invoking the wartime law, which allows the president to detain or deport the natives and citizens of an enemy nation.

  26. Grassley, Johnson Release Records Showing FBI Obtained Trump, Pence Cell Phones, Conducted Sweeping Interviews to Advance Anti-Trump Arctic Frost Investigation

    WASHINGTON – In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) made public legally protected whistleblower disclosures showing the FBI, as part of its Arctic Frost investigation, acquired the government cell phones of President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence, among other government officials. FBI agents used taxpayer dollars to crisscross the country and conduct dozens of interviews in support of the political probe.

    The unclassified FBI records convey the alarming scope and speed of the FBI’s 2022 investigation of President Trump, which they dubbed “Operation Arctic Frost.” The investigation – launched by anti-Trump FBI agent Timothy Thibault in a breach of FBI protocol – formed the basis of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s elector case against Trump. Upon opening the investigation, Thibault vowed it would be “prioritized over all others in the Branch” and commented that “it frankly took too long for us to open this [investigation].”

    “Sunshine is the best disinfectant,” the chairmen wrote to Bondi and Patel. “The American people deserve to know the complete extent of the corruption within the DOJ and FBI that led to the investigation into President Trump. We are making this information public for purposes of public accountability and to provide specific examples of past behavior at your institutions that must not be repeated. Quite simply, the public has a right to know what happened in Arctic Frost and, based on what we’ve exposed to date, the American public deserves better from its law enforcement agencies. It is important that every individual at your agencies maintains the highest level of professionalism, and does not allow political bias to motivate or guide their investigative work.”

    Within weeks of opening Arctic Frost on April 13, 2022, FBI agents began taking aggressive action to build out their case. The following is a summary of some Arctic Frost investigatory updates, based on unclassified internal FBI records:

    Update 1 (April 22-25, 2022):

    FBI begins scheduling over a dozen interviews in coordination with 13 FBI field offices.
    DOJ and FBI begin the process of acquiring Trump and Pence’s government phones, which were in the Biden White House’s possession.

    Update 2 (May 2-3, 2022):

    FBI begins analyzing communications between Trump team members and Republican electors.
    FBI meets with Justice Department (DOJ) officials to discuss possible search warrants for the Trump and Pence cell phones.

    Update 3 (May 10, 2022):

    FBI attempts to contact individuals in states throughout the country to schedule interviews.

    Update 4 (May 13-17, 2022):

    FBI obtains Trump and Pence’s government phones and enters them into evidence for the case.
    FBI interviews the first Trump administration’s Deputy White House Counsel.
    Additional interviews are planned with Trump administration officials, including employees from the Offices of the President and Vice President, DOJ and former Director of National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe.
    DOJ and FBI begin discussing the possibility of merging the DOJ Office of Inspector General (OIG) investigation, which included former Acting Assistant Attorney General (AAG) for the Civil Division, Jeffrey Clark, with the FBI’s Arctic Frost investigation.
    DOJ OIG makes plans to seek search warrants for phones associated with former AAG Jeffrey Clark, John Eastman, Mark Meadows and Ken Klukowski.

    Update 5 (May 21-24, 2022):

    FBI makes the decision to add former AAG Jeffrey Clark to the Arctic Frost investigation.
    FBI drafts a search warrant for the Trump and Pence cell phones in its possession.
    Plans continue for additional interviews with former Trump administration officials.

    Update 6 (May 27, 2022):

    FBI plans to conduct approximately 50 interviews, coupled with subpoenas, across at least seven states during the week of June 20, 2022. Interviews are set to take place with those who “signed and/or mailed the certificates in each state, as well as the Trump Campaign’s Directors of Election Day Operations for the relevant states, and certain GOP officials who are believed to have facilitated the scheme by communicating with individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the ‘fraudulent’ or ‘alternate’ electors.”
    The DOJ OIG investigation that includes Jeffrey Clark is formally merged with the FBI Arctic Frost investigation, providing FBI access to phones and email accounts from a variety of DOJ officials, including former Attorney General Bill Barr.

    Resources and Staffing

    Over the course of just four days in June 2022, the FBI Arctic Frost team spent approximately $16,000 in taxpayer-funded travel to “conduct more than 40 interviews, serve subpoenas and execute several cellular device search warrants.”

  27. California Democrat Withdraws Bill Attacking Right to Self-Defense

    After weeks of cricitism from Second Amendment groups, gun owners, and some members of law enforcement, a California assemblyman has reversed course and yanked a bill from consideration that would have brought sweeping changes to the state’s self-defense statutes.

    Assemblyman Rick Zbur, however, felt the heat instead of seeing the light on the fundamental flaws in AB 1333. Even as he announced he was pulling the bill from consideration, he blamed “misinformation” from gun owners for the legislation’s untimely demise instead of owning up to the life-endangering changes he wanted to codify into law.

    “Protecting public safety has always been my top priority,” said Zbur on Wednesday. “AB 1333 sought to close a dangerous legal loophole that could allow armed aggressors to initiate confrontations in public, kill their victims, and then exploit self-defense laws to escape accountability. The bill does not change the long-standing Castle Doctrine and was never intended to affect anyone’s ability to protect themselves, their family, or their home. As a father and as the victim of a home invasion myself, I understand how essential the right to self defense is.

    “Unfortunately, misleading information has fueled fear and confusion about the bill. I have decided to withdraw AB 1333 from further consideration once it is referred to committee on Thursday and has been amended to clarify items that caused confusion. I remain committed to keeping our communities safe and will continue working with law enforcement, legal experts, and public and gun safety advocates to advance smart policies that protect victims and safeguard the right to self defense. I want to thank our law enforcement partners and gun safety groups for their unwavering dedication to public safety and their hard work on this effort.”

    What Zbur describes as a “legal loophole” that would essentially give the green light to murder is in reality a lack of a duty to retreat in the face of the threat of great bodily harm or imminent death. And even the amended version of AB 1333 that Zbur briefly brought forward before pulling the legislation from consideration contained a section that would require individuals who are being attacked to try to run away instead of being able to stand their ground and defend themselves.

    Moros calls the duty to retreat requirement “morally repugnant”, and that’s most certainly the case. But it’s also a legally dangerous mandate, and one that’s entirely subjective. An individual acting in self-defense may not believe that he or she was able to retreat to safety instead of standing their ground and defending themselves, but if an overzealous and anti-gun prosecutor decided otherwise the armed citizen could still face murder charges.

    While Zbur maintains that “misleading information” caused the bill to fail, many on Thursday cited that the bill’s language on limiting self-defense, an expanding tougher on crime movement in the state, and a growing number of lawmakers from both parties opposing the bill in Sacramento brought AB 1333 to its demise.

    “The defeat of AB 1333 is a victory for common sense and self-defense rights,” explained Assemblyman Lackey to the Globe on Thursday. “But instead of admitting that this bill was deeply flawed, the author is now smearing opponents as ‘misleading.’ Californians saw the truth—this bill was dangerous, and it deserved to fail.”

    Zbur tried to pull a fast one, was caught, then tried to say it was all for, what was it, public safety?” added Frank Ma, a former law enforcement official who now works as a security advisor for businesses in San Francisco and cities in the Peninsula, to the Globe on Thursday. “Ask yourself, if the bill was supposed to stop vigilantes, then why did so many law enforcement officials denounce the law? Why is he amending the bill yet still withdrawing it if it was supposed to clarify everything?

    “It was obvious what this bill was trying to do. Hopefully now it isn’t brought back. Californians today want tougher crime laws and to defend themselves if they need to. This was way off the mark.”

    We’ll be talking more about the defeat of AB 1333 (and the gun control bills that are still making progress in Sacramento) with California Rifle & Pistol Association legislative affairs director Rick Travis on Monday’s Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co, and I’m sure that Rick will have plenty to say about Zbur’s attack on the right to self-defense and the diverse group of Californians who coalesced in opposition to AB 1333. Second Amendment advocates in the Golden State should be cheered by the defeat of Zbur’s bill, but there are still several egregious infringements on our right to keep and bear arms that are making their way through the legislature, and there’s much more work to be done to prevent California’s gun laws from getting even worse in the weeks ahead.
