Somebody somewhere says Zelensky actually believes the favorable hype heaped on him by the western press. Judging by his incredible lack of humility this seems correct. President Donald J. Trump sent a clear message to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week: America First is back, and the days of endless handouts with no gratitude are over.
What was supposed to be a historic signing of a minerals deal—an economic framework that would have bolstered Ukraine’s war-torn economy while recouping billions of American taxpayer dollars—turned into a diplomatic disaster, thanks to Zelenskyy’s combative attitude and refusal to recognize the new reality in Washington.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who was in the room when the confrontation took place, told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that Zelenskyy’s attitude was nothing short of disrespectful.
Leavitt: “It was incredibly tense in that room, and things turned bad and bitter very quickly because, unfortunately, President Zelenskyy refuses to recognize the pragmatic reality about the war that his country is facing. This war has been going on for years. His countrymen are dying.
Most of all, President Zelenskyy failed to recognize that he’s walking into the Oval Office with a new sheriff in town. That sheriff is Donald Trump.
He is a peacemaker-in-chief. He wants this war to end. He understands that his people—the American people—are sick and tired of footing the bill for this war to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars.
It’s very unfortunate for the Ukrainian people and for President Zelenskyy that he walked in with this mindset of ‘give, give, give’ from the American people, without much gratitude for what they have done for his country over the last few years.
He was on the brink of signing an economic agreement that would have ensured economic prosperity for the Ukrainian people and recouped American tax dollars for funding this war. Instead, because of his rude and antagonistic ways, the deal blew up in his face.
President Trump wants peace. He remains committed to that. But President Zelenskyy either needs to change his attitude or perhaps he can’t make a deal at all.”
Unlike his predecessor, Joe Biden, whose administration funneled over $175 billion to Ukraine with little oversight, President Trump has taken a firm stance that peace, not perpetual war, should be the goal. His administration had worked on an economic deal that would have helped Ukraine while ensuring American taxpayers saw some return on their forced “investment” in the war effort.
However, Zelenskyy—emboldened by years of unchecked U.S. financial support—chose to challenge Trump’s administration rather than work toward a diplomatic solution.
Trump’s response? End the meeting, cancel the scheduled luncheon, and send Zelenskyy packing.
“The President enjoyed the lunch—he figuratively and literally ate President Zelenskyy’s lunch today,” Leavitt quipped. “But it was his decision. He felt as though President Zelenskyy was not in a place to negotiate peace at this point in time.”
Predictably, the left-wing establishment erupted in outrage, with former Obama national security advisor Susan Rice claiming the meeting was a setup. She accused Trump and his allies—particularly Vice President J.D. Vance—of deliberately provoking Zelenskyy to manufacture a political moment.
But Leavitt was quick to shoot down that narrative.
“That’s absolutely not true. President Trump was excited about this economic agreement. It was President Zelenskyy who actually antagonized the Vice President in front of the cameras and picked a fight with him,” she said.
For years, Zelenskyy has positioned himself as a desperate leader fighting for democracy. But with the war dragging on and American patience wearing thin, his welcome in Washington is beginning to expire. Trump’s approach signals that Ukraine must take responsibility for its own future—either by negotiating peace or finding alternative sources of funding.
As Leavitt put it succinctly, “Again, this is not the previous administration. Joe Biden is no longer in that Oval Office. We are no longer going to just write blank checks to a war very far away without real lasting peace. That’s what the President wants.”

On Friday, Ukrainian President Zelensky met with a bipartisan group of US Senators and warmongers before his meeting with President Trump.
The meeting was held at the Hay Adams Hotel across from the White House and took place before Zelensky went to the White House.
Zelensky wrote:
An important visit to the United States. In Washington, I met with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate.
Our discussions focused on the continued military assistance for Ukraine, relevant legislative initiatives, my meeting with President Trump, efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace, our vision for ending the war, and the importance of robust security guarantees.
We take pride in having strategic partners and friends like the United States. We are grateful for the unwavering bicameral and bipartisan support for Ukraine throughout all three years of Russia’s full-scale aggression.
As you watch the video below, you see US senators acting like children with complete joy as they meet the megalomaniac who refuses peace with Russia.
Have they ever treated President Trump with such excitement? No, of course not.
After Zelensky met with these US Senators, he then went to the White House, where he:
disrespected the US President and his cabinet
spoke over both President Trump and VP J.D. Vance
called J.D. by his first name and not the title
Argued with Trump and Vance
Disrespected the American audience
And then, he was escorted from the White House.
It was a complete disaster.
Zelensky did not come to make peace. He came to continue the war and the devastation of Ukraine.

What’s shocking is that after meeting and taking photo with Zelensky, RINO Lindsey Graham slammed him, calling the meeting “an absolute, utter disaster” and openly questioning whether Zelensky is “redeemable in the eyes of Americans.”
Graham: I’ve been to Ukraine eight or nine times since the war started. I understand the consequences of Putin’s actions against Ukraine. I appreciate what the Ukrainian people have done. They fought like tigers. At the end of the day, I was hoping that this minerals deal, which would be transformative in the relationship, would go over well. I talked to Zelensky this morning. Don’t take the bait. President Trump was in a very good mood last night.
Somebody asked me, am I embarrassed about Trump? I have never been more proud of the President. I was very proud of JD Vance, standing up for our country. We want to be helpful. What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful, and I don’t know if we can ever do business with Zelensky again. I think most Americans saw a guy that they would not want to go in business with. The way he handled the meeting, the way he confronted the president, was just over the top. So, I think the relationship between Ukraine and America is important, vitally important, but can Zelensky do a deal with the United States? After what I saw, I don’t know.
I think he has made it almost impossible to sell to the American people that he’s a good investment.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a masterclass in foreign policy reality during an interview with far-left CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, following the tumultuous Oval Office meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Rubio detailed how the meeting was supposed to be a turning point for Ukraine, an opportunity to move toward negotiations with Russia.
Instead, Zelenskyy took it in an entirely different direction, aggressively challenging Trump’s peace-first approach and attempting to box the President into an all-or-nothing commitment to endless funding and military intervention.
Marc Rubio: You guys only saw the end. You saw what happened today. You don’t see all the things that led up to this. Let me explain.
The President has been very clear. He campaigned on this. He thinks this war should have never started. He believes, and I agree, that had he been President, it never would have happened. Now, here we are.
He’s trying to bring an end to this conflict. We’ve explained very clearly what our plan is here, which is we want to get the Russians to a negotiating table. We want to explore whether peace is possible. They understand this.
They also understand that this agreement that was supposed to be signed today was supposed to be an agreement that binds America economically to Ukraine, which to me, as I’ve explained, and I think the President alluded to today, is a security guarantee in its own way because we’re involved. It’s not us, it’s our interests. That was all explained. That was all understood.
According to Rubio, this meeting could have been avoided had Zelenskyy taken a more cooperative approach rather than insisting on coming to D.C.
Collins predictably refuses to acknowledge the reckless behavior of Zelenskyy, who, instead of seeking a pathway to peace, chose to grandstand and antagonize Trump inside the Oval Office.
Marc Rubio: But they insisted on coming to D.C. This agreement could have been signed five days ago, but they insisted on coming to Washington. And there was a very, and should have been a very clear understanding: don’t come here and create such a scenario where you’re going to start lecturing us about how diplomacy isn’t going to work.
President Zelenskyy took it in that direction, and it ended in a predictable outcome as a result. It’s unfortunate. That wasn’t supposed to be this way, but that’s the path he chose, and I think, frankly, it sends this country backwards in regards to achieving peace, which is what President Trump wants.
At the end of the day, he wants this war to end. He’s been as consistent as anyone can be about what his objective is here.
Kaitlan Collins: But what specifically do you want to see President Zelenskyy apologize for?
Marc Rubio: Well, apologize for turning this thing into the fiasco for him that it became. There was no need for him to go in there and become antagonistic. Look, this thing went off the rails. You were there, I believe.
It went off the rails when he said, “Let me ask you a question,” to the Vice President. “What diplomacy are you talking about?” Well, this is a serious thing. I mean, thousands of people have been killed, thousands.
He talks about all these horrible things that have happened to prisoners of war and children. All true, all bad. This is what we’re dealing with here; it needs to come to an end. We are trying to bring it to an end.
The way you bring it to an end is you get Russia to the table to talk. He understands that attacking Putin, no matter how anyone may feel about him personally, forcing the President into a position where you’re trying to goad him into attacking Putin, calling him names, maximalist demands about Russia having to pay for the reconstruction—all the things that you talk about in a negotiation—when you start talking about that aggressively, and the President’s a dealmaker, he’s made deals his entire life, you’re not going to get people to the table.
Marc Rubio: You start to perceive that maybe Zelensky doesn’t want a peace deal. He says he does, but maybe he doesn’t.

That active, open undermining of efforts to bring about peace is deeply frustrating for everyone who’s been involved in communications with them leading up to today. I think he should apologize for wasting our time for a meeting that was going to end the way it did.
Collins, clearly thrown off by Rubio’s confidence and mastery of the facts, attempted to corner the Secretary of State on previous statements regarding Vladimir Putin’s trustworthiness in negotiations.
But Rubio flipped the script and reminded the audience that President Trump has successfully negotiated some of the toughest deals of his career—and this situation is no different.
Kaitlan Collins: You yourself have said previously that Putin cannot be trusted in negotiations. That was the point that President Zelenskyy was ultimately making during that conversation: that there cannot be an agreement without security guarantees because he was talking about all the ceasefire agreements before, or agreements that Putin has just blown past. Do you still feel that way, that Putin cannot be trusted in these negotiations?
Marc Rubio: Well, I was there yesterday when the President said in front of the media that our approach is going to be “trust, but verify.”
President Trump has made deals his entire life. He’s not going to get suckered into some deal that’s not a real deal. We all understand this. We understand it on our end for certain.
The goal here is to get to a place where we have to explore whether peace is possible. I’ve said this repeatedly. I don’t know. I think it is, based on what they’ve said so far, but we have to explore that. How else is this war going to end?
I ask people, what is the European plan to end this war? I can tell you what one foreign minister told me, and I’m not going to say who it was, but I can tell you what one of them told me, and that is that the war goes on for another year.
At that point, Russia will feel so weakened that they’ll beg for peace. That’s another year of killing, another year of dying, another year of destruction. By the way, not a very realistic plan, in my point of view.
If there’s a chance of peace, even if it’s a 1% chance, that needs to be explored. That’s what President Trump is trying to do here.

Kaitlan Collins: But you yourself, sir, have said before that you believe Putin is a war criminal, that that is a widely accepted fact. You’ve called him a butcher. You said that as Secretary of State, you do believe it’s important for someone with such global influence as you have to speak with that moral clarity.
Marc Rubio: Yeah. At this moment, as Secretary of State, my job working for the President is to deliver peace, to end this conflict and end this war. Ultimately, that is the job of the State Department.
The State Department doesn’t fight wars. It ends them. It tries to end them. That’s usually, by the way, celebrated. I mean, throughout history, I’ve watched presidents bring about an end to wars and conflicts, and people celebrate that.
They applaud it. I think we should be very proud and happy that we have a president whose prime objective is not to get into wars, but to prevent wars and to get out of wars. That is a very noble, laudable goal.
Everyone should be applauding it, and he should be given the space to do that, not undermined by demands that he call Putin names or that we say things that impede the ability to conduct real diplomacy, as the Vice President said today.
This is the core issue that Rubio laid bare: Zelenskyy isn’t interested in diplomacy—he’s interested in endless war, with the United States footing the bill.
Rubio reminded the press that Trump provided Ukraine with the weapons it needed back in his first term, while Obama and Biden sent them nothing but blankets. Yet Zelenskyy refused to show even the slightest gratitude during the meeting, instead doubling down on his aggressive demands.
“There’s news reports out there from NBC News, at least is one of the place I recall, reporting that Biden had a shouting match with Zelenskyy for not being grateful and not being thankful for everything that was provided back in 2022. Now, that didn’t happen in front of the press. That was leaked, but it got out there. These frustrations are not unique to President Trump.”

Ukrainian-born U.S. Rep Victoria Spartz (R-IN) did not go easy on the leader of her home country after he “failed” his country by disrespecting President Trump in the Oval Office Friday and axed a deal to bring peace between Ukraine and Russia.
Several members of Congress and President Trump’s cabinet applauded the President on Friday after he sent Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky packing on Friday.
Support Pours in for President Trump’s Handling of Disrespectful Zelensky
As The Gateway Pundit reported, even Pro-Ukraine RINO Senator Lindsey Graham is condemning Zelensky and calling for his resignation to negotiate a peace deal.
A scheduled press conference with President Trump and Zelensky was abruptly canceled, and Zelensky was kicked to the curb after he disrespected President Trump in the Oval Office.
Ukraine had previously agreed to Trump’s requested mineral rights deal with the US to compensate Americans for the hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money Joe Biden gave them over the last four years, but the agreement was not officialized Friday.
A White House spokesperson confirmed on background that the deal was not signed.
Zelensky refuses to agree to a ceasefire and clearly wants to get the US involved to continue the war. “I don’t think they really want to stop Putin. They want to continue this bloodshed,” said Spartz.
While interviewing with Former Congressman turned OANN anchor Matt Gaetz, Spartz let Zelensky have it, calling his behavior “outrageous” and “insulting to the American people.”
“It’s such a disservice to the Ukrainian people to play hero and politics and trying to increase his rating,” she said.

Spartz: I don’t even understand why would President of a foreign country insult the American people, and President of the country, and the only hope to save them from complete destruction. It’s such a disservice to the Ukrainian people to play hero and politics and trying to increase his rating that miserably failed in the country because he failed to defend his country. I cannot believe it. But being so insulting to the American people after how much was done by us for Ukraine and for Europe, I cannot believe this. This is outrageous.
In another segment of the interview, Spartz called Zelensky out for only wanting to “continue this bloodshed” and keep the money to keep flowing. She further said he can get his money from “stupid Europeans” who want to continue funding the war.

Spartz: Well, listen, I think, you know, the war will end, just depends, you know, on which conditions. But unfortunately, the more you know Zelensky is trying to do damage to the Ukrainian people, the worse it’s going to end it up because, ultimately, President Trump, at this point, the only person who can push back on Putin, you know, and have tried to deter Putin from demanding even more and more. Unfortunately, everyone was doing grandiose statement how evil Putin is, including Biden and Zelensky, but didn’t get the country ready, don’t even have weapons to fight Russians.
Russia even, you know, have a lot of garbage, but they have quantities. You know, they have their own problems, but they have quantities of garbage. These people have nothing, and then now they send people to die for nothing on the front lines. So President Trump is his only hope, but when he puts him in that position, he disrespects him. When he’s acting like that, and he’s not just insulting President Trump, you’re insulting the American people; that’s problematic. You know, then they’re doing a lot of things, you know, dragging me as an American Congresswoman. They put like, you know, the different advertising, you know, that billboards with my name and calling because I asked for oversight of Ukrainian aid that was sent to Ukraine that I’m like Putin and Kremlin and asset and all this.
You know, that was disrespectful for the American Congresswoman, the American people that I represent that send the money and weapons, at least, to stop Russia from going further. But now, he’s even coming after President of the United States. If you’ve seen all of the bad things he said about President Trump in Ukraine, in Europe, how much they’re spending money, propaganda, to bash us. I mean, this is unbelievable. And then they turn around and say, we need to stop, help them to stop Putin, I mean, I cannot believe what these people want. I don’t think they really want to stop Putin. A lot has been written about the ‘blowout’ between Donald J. Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, or the ‘smackdown’ imposed by Trump and VP JD Vance over the increasingly frustrated Ukrainian leader.
Trump called it a very meaningful meeting where the truth was arrived at under fire and pressure, and it seems that the doors of the White House are closed to ungrateful, impertinent Zelensky.
‘This is beyond a worst-case scenario for Ukraine’, commented The Telegraph journalist Roland Oliphant, on the joint appearance by Zelensky and Trump going sideways.
“’A diplomatic disaster. There is no other way to describe it. Of all the possible outcomes of today’s high-stakes meeting at the White House, Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump shouting at each other was not what anyone portrayed. then beyond the worst-case scenario. With those words, months – years – of careful diplomacy by Ukrainian officials and diplomats went up in smoke. When the smoke cleared, Ukrainian-American relations were left lying in a pool of blood’, he wrote.”
Immediately, Secretary of State Marco Rubio Terminated US Support of Ukraine’s Power Grid, while rumors state that Trump is about to end ALL military aid to Ukraine.
Another one of the first consequences – and a potentially damaging one to Zelensky’s tarnished reputation, is the decision to step up and accelerate the audit of the hundreds of Billions in US aid to Ukraine, a fortune that no one is really sure where it went.

A federal judge late Friday evening blocked President Trump’s executive order restricting federal aid to hospitals and healthcare clinics that perform transgender surgeries on minors.
Trump previously signed two executive orders aimed at protecting children from monsters who surgically mutilate minors and give them cross-sex hormones.
President Trump’s order directed federally funded programs such as Medicaid, military and other insurance programs to exclude transgender surgeries.
Various left-wing LGBTQ and family doctor groups sued Trump to challenge the executive orders.
Attorneys for the plaintiffs argued that President Trump’s executive order is “unlawful and unconstitutional” because it blocks federal funds previously allocated by Congress.
On Friday US District Judge Lauren King, a Biden appointee, blocked Trump’s executive orders after her previous restraining order expired.
The judge said Trump’s executive order doesn’t target surgeries on “cisgender children.”
“In fact, its inadequate ‘means-end fit’ would prevent federally funded medical providers from providing necessary medical treatments to transgender youth that are completely unrelated to gender identity,” the judge wrote, according to AP. “For example, a cisgender teen could obtain puberty blockers from such a provider as a component of cancer treatment, but a transgender teen with the same cancer care plan could not.”

President Donald Trump’s plan to pull federal funding from institutions that provide gender-affirming care for transgender youth will remain blocked on a long-term basis under a federal judge’s ruling in Seattle late Friday.
U.S. District Court Judge Lauren King previously granted a two-week restraining order after the Democratic attorneys general of Washington, Oregon and Minnesota sued the Trump administration — Colorado has since joined the case.
King’s temporary order expired Friday, and she held arguments that day before issuing a preliminary injunction blocking most of Trump’s plan pending a final decision on the merits of the case. She rejected a portion of the states’ challenge regarding the order’s protections against female genital mutilation, on grounds that “no credible threat of prosecution exists” in such cases.

While Planet Earth is teeming with geopolitical activity, three different groups of men and women are engaged in an Odyssey that is to take their spacecrafts to the surface of the Moon.
It’s definitely a big moment in the human race’s spaceflight saga.
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket was launched on Thursday (Feb. 27), carrying Intuitive Machines’ ‘Athena’ spacecraft, so now there are three different private lunar landers currently on their way to the moon.
It’s an unprecedented surge in exploration, with the three missions operated by private companies.

“’Athena joining a historic wave of lunar landers on their way to the moon is an extraordinary moment’, Intuitive Machines CEO Steve Altemus said in a statement this morning (Feb. 28).
‘While the most vital part of this mission lies ahead, we believe this is a signal that lunar services are rapidly advancing alongside civil and commercial intent to establish a foothold on the moon to reach further into the solar system’, he added.”

Blue Ghost expected to touch down early Sunday morning.
There are other two private landers heading for the moon’s surface — Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost and Japan’s Resilience, built by ispace. They were both launched atop the same SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Jan. 15.
“Blue Ghost, like Athena, is flying under the flag of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services program, which puts agency science gear on private robotic landers. The goal is to gather data that will help pave the way for NASA’s Artemis astronauts, who are scheduled to touch down near the moon’s south pole a few years from now and then establish one or more bases in the water-rich region over the ensuing years.
Blue Ghost and its 10 NASA payloads have been circling the moon for two weeks and are scheduled to land in the Mare Crisium (“Sea of Crises”) region of the lunar near side early Sunday morning (March 2).”
Japanese Resilience is taking a circuitous route and is only expected to reach lunar orbit in late May or early June.
“To date, just one private spacecraft has ever landed successfully on the moon — Intuitive Machines’ Odysseus, which did so in February 2024. Others have come close; for example, ispace’s first lander reached lunar orbit in March 2023 but crashed during its touchdown attempt a month later. (Resilience is the Japanese company’s second moon lander.)”

FBI Director Kash Patel on Friday evening released a statement after a female FBI agent was falsely accused of being one of the two “honeypots” from James Comey’s operation to take out Trump in 2016.
Earlier this week, Kash Patel launched an investigation into former Director James Comey’s secret “honeypot” operation involving 2 female undercover agents who targeted President Trump’s 2016 campaign, according to The Washington Times.
Last October it was revealed that according to an FBI whistleblower, former Director James Comey inserted two female agents inside the Trump campaign in 2016.
The Washington Times reported that the female agents were directed to act as “honeypots” and travel with Trump and his staff.
This was an “off-the-books” operation and was separate from Comey and Obama’s Crossfire Hurricane operation (launched in July 2016) that targeted Trump based on false Russian collusion lies.
One of the undercover agents involved in Comey’s operation was transferred to the CIA so she would not be a potential witness.
The other undercover agent was promoted to a high-ranking position at the FBI.
On Friday Kash Patel pushed back after a female FBI agent was falsely accused of being a honeypot.
“The American people will get an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice. Just like when I exposed grotesque violations and fraud leading the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Crossfire Hurricane calling out corrupt actors; I will equally defend those attacked falsely, especially as your new FBI Director. The only way for Mexico to prevent this, the Secretary reportedly stated, is by working harder to stem the flow of fentanyl and migrants into the US.

In the Pentagon readout of Hegseth’s call, the secretary stated that his top priority is to safeguard the United States and its citizens, including acting to secure the southern border.
“’The Secretary highlighted the importance of Mexico’s armed forces continuing to disrupt cartel activities that threaten the United States, and for Mexico to continue taking steps to curb illegal migration into the United States’, the readout continued. ‘In both calls, the Secretary and his Mexican counterparts reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation between our militaries’.”
Hegseth has previously refused to rule out US military action against Mexican drug cartels.
“’All options will be on the table’, he said during a ‘Fox & Friends’ interview when asked if the military is permitted to conduct operations inside Mexico after President Trump ordered criminal cartels to be designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
That remark was on the same day as his call with Mexico’s military brass.”

The soldiers are from the 4th Infantry Division, they will be followed by combat engineers, Intelligence specialists and public affairs officers.
This small a unit of ordinary grunts won’t be invading Mexico but they will secure a specific portion of the border and force the cartels to change locations. While the cartels have a lot of shooters who are well armed they would be well advised to avoid exchanging fire with the US Infantry. “Mess with the best, die like the rest.”

Donald Trump’s public attack on Volodymyr Zelensky has given impetus to plans for a joint EU fighting force that could one day become the “embryo” of a European army.
European leaders are scrambling to boost their collective defence amid fears US troops will pull out of Europe, and the transatlantic alliance has been badly damaged by Friday’s clash between the two presidents in the Oval Office.
The crisis has increased calls to ensure Europe can act independently of Washington, and raised the prospect of a common army coming a step closer.
European leaders faced with Trump’s insistence they will police the peace in Ukraine have been shocked into action by the combination of an unreliable US and aggressive Russia.
This week, Jose Manuel Albares, Spain’s foreign minister, urged that plans for a joint rapid reaction force, potentially including commandos, should be accelerated.
He said the 5,000 soldier strong group “could be the embryo, even, of a European army that we have often talked about” before EU leaders meet for an emergency summit on defence on March 6.
“I really believe that the time has come that the armed forces of Europe must be created,” Volodymyr Zelensky said at the Munich Security Conference earlier this month.
“Let’s be honest, now we can’t rule out that America might say ‘no’ to Europe on issues that might threaten it.”

Recently, I found my travel hampered by an expansive if thinly populated demonstration around the North Carolina State Capitol and General Assembly. Pravda (a/k/a the Raleigh News & Observer) proclaimed the demonstration attracted “thousands” of protestors when, in fact, it was perhaps 500.
It wasn’t really a demonstration, of course. It was a temper tantrum. Yes, a nationally choreographed, collective hissy fit about …well … everything.
There were “Trump is a felon” signs, “Democracy not fascism” signs, and, obviously, signs demanding prison for Elon Musk. (My, how the mighty have fallen.)
After all, we have to put all those “fascists” in jail to protect “democracy,” right?
Donald Trump’s political Blitzkrieg has leftists in a tizzy, especially when he throws a feint by bragging he will buy Greenland or take back the Panama Canal.
If the cries of the deep state were to be believed, we are amid a “constitutional crisis” (which, in truth, really means the left is in crisis because we are returning to the constitution).

When in doubt…
I’ve especially enjoyed watching leftists invent reasons why DOGE shouldn’t be allowed to do the job constitutionally delegated to the Executive Branch. Perhaps funniest of all was the Associated Press which, without a shred of irony, whined that Elon Musk is “using one of the world’s most powerful information platforms to sell the government’s talking points while intimidating its detractors.”
Maybe we should believe them. After all, the press and social media platforms spent the entire Biden administration becoming experts on the topic.
Mostly, however, they fall back on that ever-useful tactic of the leftist playbook: When in doubt, lie.
At this point, lying leftists aren’t even bothering with plausibility. “An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government,” posted Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) on X.
Lawsuits by 14 Democrat state attorneys general call Musk “an agent of chaos.”
Ask any leftist and they will tell you Musk’s claim that $50 million was earmarked by USAID for condoms to Gaza is false. What they will not tell you is, according to the Associated Press:
“Officials said the Trump administration stopped two $50 million buckets of ‘aid’ for Gaza via the International Medical Corps, which included: family planning programming including emergency contraception; sexual healthcare including prevention and management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs); and adolescent sexual and reproductive health. [Emphasis added]
That’s not $50 million for condoms in Gaza. Speaking generally, it’s actually more like $100 million.
Better still, “At Oval Office, Musk Makes Broad Claims of Federal Fraud Without Proof,” proclaimed The New York Times, apparently with a straight face.
However, according to “Just the News”:
“The entire article hinged on a relatively brief exchange between reporters and Musk and President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. The copy was riddled with flippant editorialization, such as a line describing Musk as ‘an unelected appointee with vast reach across the government’ after quoting his own criticism of the federal bureaucracy as an ‘unelected, fourth, unconstitutional branch of government.’
“The article largely takes issue with the fact that Musk did not provide reporters with screenshots, receipts, and documentation for general claims about the pervasive nature of federal fraud at that exact moment. While he did not provide such materials in person, he directed reports to DOGE’s X account, where his aides have posted such materials available to the public.”
Apparently, the celebrated journalists of The Gray Lady dug so deeply into the issue that they missed not only DOGE documentation, but also a newfangled service called Google.
Also from “Just the News”:
“The [U.S. Government Accountability Office] report from September 2024, for instance, warned that ‘the federal government could lose between $233 billion and $521 billion annually to fraud alone.’ In fiscal year 2023, it found $236 billion in improper payments across 71 programs.”
On the upside, we should celebrate the apparent effectiveness of Obamacare in : While auditing Social Security, Musk discovered 17 million recipients who made age 100, and fully 12 million who have lived to the ripe old age of 120 or more. (Still smarting from being ejected from the White House press pool, the Associated Press insists that most of the centenarians are not getting checks.)
Elsewhere, DOGE and Lee Zeldin, the new administrator for the EPA, canceled a $50 million grant made during the Biden administration for “environmental justice” by an organization advocating “climate justice travels through a Free Palestine.”
Indeed, Zeldin located $20 billion in taxpayer funds that Biden & Co. deliberately squandered before leaving office in an exercise one Biden appointee dubbed “tossing gold bars off the Titanic.”
The “gold bars” being “tossed” were, of course, purchased with your money.
In the Department of Housing and Urban Development alone, DOGE helped HUD Secretary Scott Turner recover $1.9 billion “misplaced” by the Biden cabal. It’s safe to say that barring a few elites, HUD money has never been “misplaced” into your bank account.
Oh, and did I forget to mention the $4.7 trillion (yes, trillion) in untraceable U.S. Treasury payments because deep state bureaucrats decided that account identification codes were “optional”?
Desperate Dems
Increasingly desperate leftists, with no saleable agenda for the American public, now want us to believe that every aviation crash in the 38 days Trump has been in office are somehow his fault. Of the Delta Airlines crash in Toronto, Schumer said: “Trump’s doing massive layoffs at the FAA – including safety specialists – and making our skies less and less safe.”
Never mind that layoffs at the FAA were unrelated to safety inspections; never mind that the crash was in Toronto under Canadian air traffic control; never mind that even Delta CEO Ed Bastian said FAA cuts would not impact safety, or that Trump is actually planning to increase the number of FAA inspectors. Schumer proves yet again that there is no lie a leftist won’t tell to defend his ideology.
When all else fails, kill the messenger…
Citing dramatically increased death threats from The Voice of Tolerance and Diversity, Elon Musk just had his security detail deputized by the U.S. Marshalls Service, presumably enabling them to carry firearms across state lines. CNN says Musk’s detail rivals that of the President.
Good thing. In fact, let’s hope Musk’s security is better than Trump’s in Butler, PA. Even beyond death threats, leftist hyperbole likening Trump and Musk to “Nazis” and “fascists,” calls to assassinate Musk exposed by “Libs of TikTok” (to which Musk stoically replied “Everybody dies, but not everybody lives”), and even though Musk noted last year that two people tried to kill him within 8 months, the entirety of the effort to drain the swamp depends on two people: Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Lest you believe danger comes only from the lunatic fringe, consider that Congressman Robert Garcia (D-CA) recently told CNN that Musk is “harming the American public in an enormous way, and what I think is really important and what the American public want, is for [leftists] to bring actual weapons to this political bar fight. This is an actual fight for democracy, for the future of this country.” [Emphasis added]
Garcia also used another common leftist tactic when he displayed to Congress a picture of Musk, calling it a “dick pic,” which he reaffirmed in the CNN interview. The tactic? When you don’t have a cogent argument, start slinging names.
As I’ve documented in previous blogs, leftists consider murder to be an acceptable policy instrument. Unfortunately, I vote Donald Trump for winner of the contest called “Most Likely to Suffer an Assassination Attempt by a Leftist Nutcase.” Number two on the list is Elon Musk.

A friend recently mentioned that his son gets laughs from watching leftists on MSNBC come completely unhinged. And yes, I too have enjoyed a bit of schadenfreude. But I wouldn’t laugh too hard quite yet.
Mike Shelby, formerly of military intelligence, writes “Forward Observer,” a service analyzing threats to America, be they foreign or domestic. Shelby has been describing how the various “black block”-clad miscreants can’t quite seem to get it together like they did in 2020.
Shelby also notes that USAID, which is being decimated by DOGE, has been a big source of funding for anti-American leftist organizations. White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller told Maria Bartiromo of Fox News:
“[T]he USAID was a slush fund, first of all, for left-wing projects around the globe, like gender surgeries around the world, diversity, equity and inclusion policies, crazy Green New Deal climate scams, and every other lunatic left-wing project that is bankrupting this country.
“But, even beyond that, it was funding an army of left-wing activists, these NGOs, nongovernmental organizations, NGOs[sic]. They get billions and billions of dollars, and they use that money to then infiltrate corporate America, to then infiltrate the public sector, to then resettle, for example, at taxpayer expense, millions of illegal aliens into this country, to drive racist equity policies, to drive radical left gender policies.
“And so what we have learned is this mammoth, left-wing power structure, plus left-wing media, wasn’t organic. It wasn’t created naturally. It was funded by taxpayer dollars. And that is why they are screaming and screeching so loud now, is because President Trump is cutting off the slush fund to the organizations that hate and hurt America.”
On the upside, DOGE is dealing the left a huge setback. On the downside, the left never gives up. Leftist lynch mobs might be smaller, but count on their response being more dramatic. Right now, we are seeing lawsuits, inflammatory rhetoric, and attempts to block ICE deportations (including doxxing ICE agents).
But given a conservative Supreme Court, many if not most of the lawsuits will fail. Given Tom Homan’s vow to deport violent illegal aliens and prosecute anyone who stands in the way, radicals trying to prevent deportation of MS-13 and tren de aragua killers will ultimately fail. And given Trump’s mission to neutralize transgender radicalism, men claiming to be women will no longer dominate women’s sports.
What happens then? What happens when neo-Marxists trying to destroy American society face utter defeat? My money says we will see a reprise of the violent radicalism inflicted in the 1970s by the Weather Underground, Symbionese Liberation Army, Red Army Faction, and their ilk.
After all, few animals are more dangerous than a wounded leftist.

The Logical Fallacy Of Safe Storage Laws

A year after Michigan lawmakers passed a safe storage law to prevent minors from coming in contact with unattended firearms, the measure has been used in 36 cases across the state, with charges having been filed against parents, grandparents, cousins, and, in one case, a babysitter. But an interesting pattern has emerged, an elephant in the room that everyone seems too uncomfortable to call out. Not today.
Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald, a Democrat, says that it is difficult to judge the law’s impact as charges are typically only filed after an accident, but also claims the law makes people more aware than they have been in previous years.
“I think the passing of the law is one of the reasons that people are more aware than they were maybe four years ago,” said McDonald
How could you know what people are more aware of or even paying attention to? Let’s look at something more concrete, like numbers that don’t lie. Of the 36 cases being prosecuted across Michigan, 25 are concentrated in just six counties. You might think six counties sounds like a lot of space to cover, but let’s put things into perspective. Michigan contains 83 counties, meaning 70% of these cases happen in about 7% of the state’s counties. I hear the argument already. But these counties add up to much of the state’s population: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Genesee, Kent, and Newaygo. So naturally, this is where more incidents must take place. It’s only partially true. These six counties account for approximately 49.3% of the state’s population, so a disparity remains, but that disparity isn’t where I hang my hat.
Let’s turn our attention to the most dangerous cities in Michigan and notice that these six counties exist in two clusters that either contain or are adjacent to these cities, where you better double-check your locks at night and stay indoors after dark. So what’s my point? Look at a Michigan election results map when you have a moment.
I won’t beat around the bush any longer. I alluded to the idea that I would be that guy today, and I hate to disappoint, so here it is. Densely populated cities across the nation tend to attract and breed patterns of behavior that many of us living in more rural areas find undesirable, like voting left and committing crimes, two behaviors I don’t necessarily find mutually exclusive. These Democrat-led metropolitan cesspools serve as nothing more than real-life echo chambers and indoctrination hubs where the solution to everything seems to be higher taxes and less freedom.
In contrast, look at rural areas where hunting and firearms are part of American culture and tradition. Deceptive studies will use mental gymnastics to have you believe these areas are more dangerous places to live, quoting per capita percentages, much like I have in this article, but leaving out information about geography and population density. When one incident occurs in a rural area, it throws the percentage a long way, but I promise you would rather stroll down Main Street in the middle of the night versus anywhere in the broad daylight of Detroit.
You’ll find a broader knowledge of firearms and safe handling in rural America that is engrained from early childhood, with children spending more time outdoors, including regular participation in activities like hunting and fishing. We also tend to have much smaller law enforcement agencies and understand that those in the country may have to wait a minute for an officer in case of an emergency. While that last point may also be true in cities due to traffic and overwhelmed police and sheriff departments, we’ve long since taught our children how and when to handle a firearm, preparing and educating them rather than shielding and scaring them. I am also an advocate for incentivizing smart choices rather than punishing poor ones after the fact, and I support initiatives like tax-free firearm storage solutions and would even go so far as to encourage subsidization and tax credits for gun safes and other safety-related equipment and training.
The point is that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for the country outside of educating our children and our communities. If consequences kept criminals from acting out criminally or irresponsible people from acting irresponsibly, society would be in a much better place than it is today. While I think consequences can help separate those who would harm our communities, time has proven that they are not a universally successful measure.
It is just as neglectful to leave a minor who is trained and capable without means of protection as it is to leave one who doesn’t have the same education with easy access, as has been seen in Kentucky, Florida, Montana, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, Arizona, and countless more. These children and the people they stepped up to defend deserve to live as much as anyone else, so why does the response from the left always seem to ignore education, strip rights, and leave law-abiding citizens vulnerable? Occam’s razor, a principle that states the simplest explanation is usually the best, would say that’s exactly where they want you.
