My heart goes out to Long Covid and Post Vaccine Syndrome (PVS) sufferers. The medical establishment still largely dismisses PVS victims.

Syrian suspect in Berlin Holocaust Memorial stabbing wanted to kill Jews, investigators say

The suspect in a stabbing attack at Berlin’s Holocaust Memorial that seriously injured a Spanish tourist is a Syrian refugee who apparently wanted to kill Jews, investigators said Saturday.
The 19-year-old suspect was arrested on Friday evening, nearly three hours after the attack, when he approached officers with blood on his hands and clothes.
Police and prosecutors said in a statement that the victim sustained life-threatening injuries to the neck when he was attacked with a knife. The 30-year-old underwent an emergency operation and was put into an artificial coma for a while, and his life is no longer in danger, they added.
The suspect arrived in Germany in 2023 as an unaccompanied minor and successfully applied for asylum, investigators said. He lives in Leipzig.
The attack took place two days before a German national election in which migration has become a top issue, pushed to the forefront by five deadly attacks involving immigrants over the past nine months.
The investigation so far points to a link between the attack and the conflict in the Middle East, police and prosecutors said. They added that evidence so far, particularly from what he told police in questioning, suggests that he had decided in the last few weeks to kill Jews. That was apparently why he chose to mount the attack at the memorial dedicated to the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust.
At the time of his arrest, he was carrying a backpack containing a prayer mat, a Quran, a sheet with verses from the Quran as well as Friday’s date, and the knife apparently used in the attack.
Investigators were working to determine whether the suspect suffered from mental illness. They said he was not previously known to police or judicial authorities in Berlin.
He is under investigation on suspicion of attempted murder and bodily harm.
Interior Minister Nancy Faeser described the attack as “an abhorrent and brutal crime” and said that “we will use all the means at our disposal to deport violent criminals to Syria again.”
In a separate case, police in the neighboring state of Brandenburg said they arrested an 18-year-old Russian national on Thursday on suspicion of preparing a politically motivated attack in the German capital.
German news agency dpa, which cited unidentified security sources, reported that the intended target was the Israeli Embassy. It said that the suspect, a Chechen, apparently was planning to leave Germany to join the Islamic State group. On Saturday, a suspicious object resembling explosives was found during a related search of an apartment in Potsdam and taken away to be defused elsewhere, police said.

A knife attack in the eastern French city of Mulhouse has left at least one person dead and several persons injured.
The attack took place near a market in the city on Saturday afternoon, February 22, and on the sidelines of a demonstration, according to local media.
“Horror has just gripped our city,” lamented the city’s mayor, Michèle Lutz, in a message posted on Facebook.
Two municipal police officers suffered serious injuries—one to the carotid artery and the other to the chest, public prosecutor Nicolas Heitz said. Three other officers also sustained minor injuries, Heitz added.
Police authorities say they have arrested the suspect. According to the public prosecutor, the suspect, a 37-year-old man, was already known to the authorities and had been on a terrorism watchlist.
The Algerian-born was under obligation to leave the country and was under judicial supervision as he awaited trial, local officials said.
Police say they have set up a security perimeter near the canal market where the deadly incident took place as they begin further investigations.

Karen Bass dropped a cryptic warning in a phone call to an anonymous source just a few days before the fires erupted.
In a separate undercover video posted by OMG, a Los Angeles Mayor admitted Bass’s office knew about the incoming wind storm because of a red flag warning.

Just three days before fires erupted in the Los Angeles area, Bass issued a cryptic message to our source, advising them to “read in between the lines and hold tight… you will understand soon,” suggesting she was aware of significant developments that would soon impact the city.
Bass also acknowledged the growing dangers surrounding MacArthur Park. “The situation is very dangerous,” she said, citing security concerns. She remained adamant in her refusal to hold a press conference, stating, “I will take the criticism before I do a publicity stunt, and frankly, a press conference at this point in time, which would just be publicity.”
Bass further explained her position, stating, “If I have a choice between that and compromising something, I just have to go along with it. It’s not my area of expertise,” emphasizing her lack of qualifications to make informed decisions regarding the area.
When the source emphasized the safety concerns of residents and property owners MacArthur Park, noting that “41,000 people live within a square mile here,” Bass maintained her stance stating, “But they want to hear that something is going to be done,” making it clear that no action is currently being taken to address security risks.

A cannibal in Connecticut has been granted conditional release from a psychiatric hospital after brutally killing a man with an axe, eating one of his eyeballs, and part of his brain.
Tyree Smith had been found “Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity” in 2013 and sent to Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown for “up to 60 years” for the murder and cannibalism of 43-year-old Angel Gonzalez.
Smith was diagnosed with schizophrenia and had been abusing drugs and alcohol at the time of the murder.
The Hartford Courant reports:
Gonzalez’s decomposed body was found in an abandoned building on Brooks Street in Bridgeport on Jan. 20, 2012. He had suffered severe wounds to his face and head.
Three days later, Smith’s cousin, Nicole Rabb, told police Smith arrived at her house in mid-December and said he had “to get blood on his hands,” the arrest warrant affidavit, according to Courant archives. He was going to Beardsley Park and his former home on Brooks Street, the Courant reported. The next day he returned with blood on his pants and carrying an ax saying he wanted to take a bath.
Rabb said Smith told her he was sleeping on the second-floor porch of 216 Brooks St. when a man invited him to the third floor to get out of the cold, archives said. Smith said he then beat the man with the ax so severely that he was able to remove an eye from the man’s head along with pieces of brain matter and a piece of his skull, the Courant reported.
According to previous Courant reports, Smith then went to Lakeview Cemetery, where he said “he ate the eyeball, which tasted like an oyster, and the brain matter,” according to the warrant affidavit.
The Connecticut Psychiatric Security Review Board issued the decision to allow Smith’s release on Friday.
“The board previously determined that Mr. Smith has demonstrated long-term stability, remained engaged in all recommended treatments, and consistently followed his care plan,” Vanessa Cardella, a spokesperson for the board, said in a statement obtained by the Hartford Courant. “His release will be conditional, ensuring that he remains under structured supervision and continues receiving the necessary mental health services.”
“Before being considered for conditional release, individuals first go through a temporary leave process, where they remain under hospital supervision while gradually increasing their time in the community,” Cardella added. “This phased approach ensures stability before conditional release, allowing individuals to build relationships with outpatient providers while maintaining high levels of oversight. Conditional release continues this supervision with strict conditions to prioritize both public safety and the individual’s ongoing treatment. Rehabilitation, not punishment, is the goal for all individuals found not guilty by reason of insanity.”
Gonzalez’s family adamantly opposed the cannibal’s release.
Republican State Sens. Heather Somers, Paul Cicarella, Henri Martin and Stephen Harding issued a joint condemnation of the decision.
“Outrageous. Mind-boggling. This individual killed and ate part of his victim and was found not guilty by reason of insanity,” the statement read. “His victim’s family raised objections about his release. What about them? Where is the justice for them?”
“This terrible decision puts public safety in jeopardy and is yet another terrible message to send to CT violent crime victims and their families. This person should never be out,” the state senators added. “We are dumbfounded at this injustice. In what universe is this ok?”

Kennedy called the scheme more just a “gravy train” but a “gravy train with biscuit wheels.”
In November, video footage of NPR CEO Katherine Maher from an August 2021 Ted Talk reappeared on X, sparking new debate over the taxpayer-funded broadcaster’s alleged bias.
In the 10-second clip, Maher questioned the role truth plays in the industry as the then-CEO of Wikimedia. She took over as CEO of NPR in March 2024.
Maher told the crowd, “I think our reverence for the truth might have become a bit of a distraction that is preventing us from finding consensus and getting important things done.”

In his remarks, Kennedy said, “In calling for the defunding of President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency is looking for fat to trim. Approximately 5,400 probationary workers are expected to be fired from the Pentagon beginning next week.
Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Darin Selnick announced the cut back of the workforce in a statement on Friday evening.
“We anticipate reducing the Department’s civilian workforce by 5-8% to produce efficiencies and refocus the Department on the President’s priorities and restoring readiness in the force,” Selnick said.
Selnick’s statement continued, “We expect approximately 5,400 probationary workers will be released beginning next week as part of this initial effort, after which we will implement a hiring freeze while we conduct a further analysis of our personnel needs, complying as always with all applicable laws.”
On Thursday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted a video to social media hinting at the upcoming layoffs.
Hegseth stated it is “not in the public interest to retain individuals whose contributions are not mission critical.”

General Kellogg has made progress in the negotiations with Kiev.
The Donald J. Trump administration has been described as running a ‘good cop-bad cop’ strategy toward the embattled Ukrainian leadership: while the President and many of his top aides are lambasting Volodymyr Zelensky and asking for new elections, the special envoy, retired Gen. Keith Kellogg, was able to make significant progress alongside Kiev.
It’s now been reported that the US is close to a deal with Ukraine for access to hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of mineral rights.
New York Post reported:
“Kellogg, believed to be one of the few Trump administration officials still supportive of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, began his two-day trip back to the US without confirming a deal that the White House has pushed hard for — but which high-level officials in Zelensky’s government view as a shakedown.”
President Trump announced at the White House that the US and Ukraine would sign an agreement soon.
“’It’s a big deal, but they want it, and it keeps us in that country, and they’re very happy about it’, Trump added later. ‘We get our money back. This should have been signed long before we went in. It should have been signed by [former President Joe] Biden’.
After a tense week of back-and-forth barbs between Washington and Kyiv, it was Kellogg’s visit Friday to wounded Ukrainian veterans at Irpin Military Hospital northwest of Kyiv that ingratiated the US to Zelensky, nudging the deal closer to the finish line, sources familiar with the situation told The Post.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department filed a complaint Friday accusing a federal judge in Washington of misconduct during hearings over President Donald Trump’s executive order that calls for banning transgender troops from serving in the U.S. military.
The complaint filed by Attorney General Pam Bondi’s chief of staff, Chad Mizelle, marks an escalation of the Republican administration’s criticism of the judiciary, which has been been weighing a slew of legal challenges to the Republican president’s actions.
The complaint to the chief judge of Washington’s federal court accuses U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes of inappropriately questioning a government lawyer about his religious beliefs and trying to “embarrass” the attorney with a rhetorical exercise during an exchange about discrimination. It is seeking an investigation, saying “appropriate action” should be taken to ensure that future hearings are conducted with the “dignity and impartiality the public has a right to expect.”
A representative from Reyes’ chambers declined to comment Friday.
During the rhetorical exercise, Reyes told the attorney that she changed the rules in her courtroom to bar graduates of the University of Virginia law school from appearing before her because they are all “liars and lack integrity.” She instructed the government attorney, a graduate of the school, to sit down.

Reyes is known for her stern rebukes of lawyers on both sides. In a different case earlier this month, she verbally rebuked former U.S. Solicitor General Seth Waxman, who’s representing eight government watchdogs suing the Trump administration over their firing. She denied an emergency motion and called it “beyond comprehension” to hold a hearing on a matter rather than resolving it in a “five-minute phone call.”
The Trump administration has been ramping up its criticism of judges over rulings blocking parts of his ambitious agenda rolled out in the first weeks of his administration.

Another coronavirus feared to be powerful enough to spread through humans has been discovered in China.
In scenes eerily reminiscent of the beginnings of Covid, researchers at the infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology detected the new strain living within bats.
HKU5-CoV-2 is strikingly similar to the pandemic virus, sparking fears that history could repeat itself just two years after the worst was declared over.
The new virus is even closer related to MERS, a deadlier type of coronavirus that kills up to a third of people it infects.
Virologist Shi Zhengli, known as ‘Batwoman’ for her work on coronaviruses, led the discovery, published in a top scientific journal.
Tests showed HKU5-CoV-2 infiltrated human cells in the same way as SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind Covid.
Sharing their discovery in the journal Cell, the Beijing-funded researchers admitted it posed a ‘high risk of spillover to humans, either through direct transmission or facilitated by intermediate hosts.’

Erasmus University medical student Fouad L. was found guilty on Friday for the premeditated murders of his neighbor, her daughter, and his professor in a crime spree that terrified Rotterdam on September 28, 2023. While acknowledging that L. has a personality disorder that contributed to the murders, the judges handed L. a life sentence with almost no chance of parole, exceeding the prosecutor’s recommendation of 30 years and mandatory psychiatric institutionalization for an indefinite period.
The court said that the motive was convincingly proven to be part of a revenge fantasy. L. blamed his neighbor for raising concerns with authorities about his treatment of animals and his general behavior which led to further scrutiny about whether he should be allowed to practice medicine. The doctor was blamed for delaying L.’s graduation from the Erasmus medical program.
The District Court in Rotterdam found L. guilty of first shooting his 14-year-old neighbor, Romy, then setting fire to her home on Heiman Dullaertplein in the Rotterdam district of Delfshaven. L. then shot the girl’s mother, Marlous, repeatedly. The 39-year-old woman died at the scene. The court said L. then shot the teenager again as she lay injured on the ground. The girl died at a hospital from the gunshot wounds she sustained.
L. then drove his motorcycle a short distance to the Erasmus Medical Center where he shot Dr. Jurgen Damen in a lecture hall. The 43-year-old professor was pronounced dead at the scene. L. then set fires in the building using Molotov cocktails, the court said. He was also accused of threatening numerous people. He was eventually overpowered by the police outside.
“You ended the lives of three people in cold blood. They didn’t stand a chance,” the judges stated. “The suffering you have caused is great.”
L. earlier told the court that, out of anger and frustration that he would not receive his medical diploma, he developed “a very terrible plan” to get revenge. “A lot of people had to die,” L. said during the trial. He confessed to the killings but also claimed in court that an imaginary computer inside his head ordered him to carry out the murders.

One, whose asylum request was denied, is a 27-year-old Afghan who entered Germany from Russia last spring and now lives in Brandenburg. A second asylum seeker was connected to Lower Saxony. After first traveling to Moscow, he has remained in Germany since the summer of 2023, Der Spiegel found. German authorities have also refused entry to a third Afghan from the GRU payments program, who attempted to cross into the country from Poland last April.

A United Nations judge deceived a young woman into coming to the UK to work as her slave while she studied at the University of Oxford, a court has heard.
Lydia Mugambe is accused of taking “advantage of her status” over her alleged victim in the “most egregious way”.
It is alleged she prevented the young Ugandan woman from holding down steady employment and forced her to work as her maid and to provide childcare for free.
Ms Mugambe denies the four charges against her.
Prosecutors allege that from the outset, Ms Mugambe, who is also a High Court judge in Uganda, had the intention of “obtaining someone to make her life easier and at the least possible cost to herself”.
She is accused of engaging in “illegal folly” with Ugandan deputy high commissioner John Leonard Mugerwa in which they conspired to arrange for the young woman to come to the UK.
The pair are alleged to have participated in a “very dishonest” trade-off, in which Mr Mugerwa allegedly arranged for the Ugandan High Commission to sponsor the woman’s entrance into the UK in exchange for Ms Mugambe attempting to speak to a judge who was in charge of legal action Mr Mugerwa was named in.
Ms Mugambe is also accused of arranging the alleged victim’s travel “with a view to her being exploited”, and of attempting to “intimidate” her alleged victim into dropping the case.
Oxford Crown Court heard the defendant had previously told police she had “diplomatic immunity” and could not be arrested due to her work as a judge in Uganda and at the UN.
Jurors were told the Metropolitan Police’s diplomatic team was contacted and confirmed Mugambe had no registered diplomatic immunity in the UK.
According to her UN profile page, Ms Mugambe was appointed to the body’s judicial roster in May 2023 – three months after police were called to her address in Oxfordshire.
Opening the case on Monday, Caroline Haughey KC said Ms Mugambe “took advantage of her status over [her alleged victim] in a most egregious way”.
“Ms Mugambe used her knowledge, and her power, to deceive [her alleged victim] into coming to the UK, taking advantage of her naivety to induce and deceive her into working for her for nothing.
She added that the judge, who had been studying for a PhD in law, had “created a situation where [her alleged victim] was deprived of the opportunity to support herself”.
The trial, expected to last three weeks, continues.
Iowa Republicans Advance Bill to Make Bringing Children to Drag Shows a Felony

Iowa Republicans have advanced a bill that would make bringing children to drag shows a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine between $1,025 and $10,245.
House Study Bill 158 also states that businesses could be fined $10,000 for allowing minors to attend drag performances, including “story hours.”
Anyone over 18 who brings a minor to a drag show would be guilty of a class “D” felony. A parent or legal guardian bringing a child to a drag show may face civil action of $10,000 to $50,000 for each violation of the law.
Opponents of the bill argued that the language is too vague and could make it a crime for someone who identifies as “transgender” to speak in front of anyone under 18.
The bill defines a “drag show” as any performance where the performer “exhibits a gender identity that is different than the performer’s gender assigned at birth.” This will include clothing, makeup, or any “other gender signifiers.”
The law will apply to any performance where “The performer sings, lip-syncs, dances, reads, or otherwise performs before an audience for entertainment, whether or not performed for payment.”
Dozens of protesters gathered outside during the vote on Tuesday, with many chanting “trans rights” and “drag is not a crime.”
Republican Rep. Helena Hayes said the bill will be tweaked so children are not banned from genuine art performances.
“You cannot say that if we want to address the content of drag performances, that automatically makes us anti-trans,” Hayes said, according to a report from the Des Moines Register.
“This is not about banning drag shows for adults,” Oliver Bardwell, with Iowans For Freedom, said. “It’s not about stifling freedom of expression. It’s about keeping adult content where it belongs: With adults.”

One of the four suspects in the case surrounding the explosion at Tarwekamp in The Hague on December 7 only wanted to go along to steal valuables, but ultimately decided against it. The suspect, Adil A., said this in a statement released to the press. According to him, there is evidence that he was never present at the explosion and he says the Public Prosecution Service (OM) no longer suspects him of this.
In the statement that he wrote himself and was released by his lawyer, Dirk Stoof, A. stated that it has been proven based on witnesses and camera images that he was in the pub at the time of the explosion. The enormous blast at Tarwekamp in the Mariahoeve district of The Hague killed six people, injured several others, and caused massive material damage. Adil A. says that the “client” of the fire at Tarwekamp wants to “destroy his life.”
With that, he referred to a 33-year-old man from Rotterdam who, according to the OM, is the mastermind behind the devastating explosion. He allegedly had a recently ended relationship with the owner of the bridal store where the explosion happened.
My only involvement in this whole drama is that I was asked to go along but I declined,” A. wrote. The only reason that he wanted to go “at all,” he said, was “because there was supposedly 150,000 to 200,000 euros of value in the building. But he didn’t want to steal anything, only arson,” A. said about the 33-year-old suspect from Rotterdam. The fact that A. “only wanted to pay 1,500 euros for it was reason enough for me not to go along,” he said.

A group of 30 Senators has sent a letter to the acting Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) head, Marvin Richardson, demanding that the Bureau stop exceeding its power.
Senator John Cornyn and 29 colleagues sent the letter after President Donald Trump issued an Executive Order demanding that the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigate Second Amendment abuses by the ATF. Mr. Cornyn has been heavily criticized in the past by gun owners for teaming with Democrats and passing the Bi-partisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA), which was a gun control bill. Many wonder if he is trying to buy goodwill with the gun community or if he is actually concerned with ATF overreach.
The letter reads: “Under former President Joe Biden, ATF adopted numerous policies and rules that infringed upon Americans’ Second Amendment protections. President Trump’s Executive Order directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to review and develop a plan of action regarding President Biden’s unlawful firearms regulations. We ask that you work with the Attorney General to quickly identify and rescind these policies. In particular, we call your attention to the following anti-Second Amendment regulations and policies, which must be immediately rescinded.”
The first rule that the Senators want to be reversed is the “engaged in the business” rule. Under the Biden Administration, the ATF issued a rule that almost all firearms transfers require a federal firearm license (FFL). Even selling as little as a single gun could mean a person is “engaged in the business” in the eyes of the ATF. Many called this rule a thinly veiled attempt at backdoor universal background checks (UBC). UBCs was one of President Biden’s goals, but he was unsuccessful due to resistance in Congress. He used the rule-making process to accomplish his goals. Currently, there is a preliminary injunction against the rule.
The second rule under the Congressional microscope is the pistol brace rule. The ATF used the rule-making process to reclassify pistols equipped with a brace as short-barreled rifles (SBR). Gun owners would have to register their pistols with the ATF National Firearms Act (NFA) division and pay a $200 tax stamp. The rule reversed years of ATF opinions and affected millions of Americans. An injunction currently blocks the rule from being enforced.
The third rule is the so-called “ghost gun” rule. This rule reclassified what is considered a firearm and regulated certain parts of guns, such as unfinished frames, as firearms requiring a serial number to be sold. This move was meant to kill the privately made firearms (PMF) rule, but with advancements in 3D printing, the homemade firearms community has survived. The rule has been blocked at the Circuit Court level, although the United States Supreme Court placed that judgment on an administrative stay. SCOTUS has heard oral arguments in Vanderstok v. Garland, and the community is awaiting their opinion on the matter.
The Senators also ask the ATF to rescind its “zero-tolerance” policies. The ATF has used the policy to shut down FFLs nationwide for violations such as a simple clerical error. One Industry Operation Inspector (IOI) purportedly wrote that he loved shutting down gun shops on social media. The process was weaponized under the Biden administration to attack the firearms industry. Several cases are taking place nationwide, trying to block the policy.
The final action the letter demands the ATF do is destroy its illegal registry located at the Out of Business Office in Martinsburg, WV, during an investigation into Walmart turning over 1000s of ATF Form 4473s to the Bureau. AmmoLand was able to determine that these records were being digitized. Further inquiries from Congress revealed that the ATF had almost 1,000,000,000 records scanned.
Gun owners celebrated the action by Congress. Now, those same Americans must wait to see how the ATF responds.
