This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    Canada is being exposed for its dress rehearsal at communism and its make-believe autonomy from the U.S.. Tonight’s showdown between Canada and the U.S. hockey teams is not so significant for Americans as it is for Canadians. For us it is a test of our last remaining cultural icon.   3. PRAGUE (AP) – Two women have died in a knife attack on Thursday at a shopping center in the Czech Republic, officials said.

    Police say they detained a teenage suspect in connection with the stabbings in a store in the city of Hradec Kralove, some 100 east of Prague.

    Reports initially said the victims had been injured, one of them seriously, but police later said both had died. They were not identified.

    Note: since this comes from Breitbart, this is significant to our issues in some ways that are not being reported. An old classmate of mine is a pediatrician in Hradec Kralove, but I have not had any contact info on her for decades… This may be completely unrelated, but there was a Roma village really close to there that was a no-go-zone for non-Roma back in the 1970’s, a little pocket of the 3rd world whose inhabitants did not integrate into the community the way most Roma did.

    • The title of the article is misleading. JPost is still marginally better than Ha’aretz. It publishes editorials from global VIPs, like Gil Troy and Mr. Sharansky who may go off-narrative, but it uses journalistic tricks to blunt their impact.

    After the Chinese government banned sanctioned oil tankers from entering Shandong port – China’s largest terminal for Iranian oil – China’s imports of Iranian crude fell by more than half in January. The Biden administration imposed sanctions on dozens of tankers carrying Iranian oil after Iran’s missile attack on Israel in October. But the real blow came in response to potential U.S. sanctions under the Trump administration.

    Data from the French analytics firm Kpler shows that Iran’s oil deliveries to China fell below 850,000 barrels per day in January, compared to over 1.8 million barrels per day last October. The Iranian rial has also suffered a sharp devaluation since last October, with the U.S. dollar surging from 600,000 rials to 900,000 rials.

    President Donald Trump is wasting no time proving that his second term will be a game-changer for America.

    Trump revealed on Tuesday that he’s seriously considering a proposal to give 20% to every American taxpayer, funded entirely by the massive savings the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has accumulated.

    And another 20% of DOGE’s savings could go straight to paying down the federal government’s bloated debt.

    The idea first hit the X platform when Elon Musk, Trump’s right-hand man in this efficiency revolution, responded that he’d “check with the president” about the proposal first floated by James Fishback of Azoria Partners.

    Fishback explained the idea as follows:

    Few in America knew precisely what to expect from DOGE. The early perceived turbulence around leadership, the uncertainty around legal structure, and the lack of precedent for such a bold initiative created a sense of “show me” with DOGE. Just a month into President Trump’s second term, DOGE is delivering. Full stop.

    With DOGE reportedly achieving $1 billion in savings per day, President Trump has an opportunity to work with Congress to take DOGE one step further and deliver what we at Azoria call the “DOGE Dividend,” a tax refund check to be sent after the expiration of DOGE in July 2026 funded exclusively with a portion of the total savings delivered by DOGE.

    Here’s how President Trump’s DOGE Dividend works:

    DOGE is targeting $2 trillion in total savings.

    Take 20% of DOGE’s total savings ($400 billion) and return it to the ~79 million U.S. households that will be net payers of federal income tax4 in CY 2025 as a tax-refund check called the “DOGE Dividend.”

    Trump mentioned the idea on Wednesday at a high-profile meeting of global financiers and tech executives hosted by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund in Miami.

    “There’s even under consideration a new concept where we give 20% of the DOGE savings to American citizens, and 20% goes to paying down debt because the numbers are incredible, Elon.

    So many billions of dollars, billions, hundreds of billions. We’re thinking about giving 20% back to the American citizens and 20% down to pay back debt and pay down debt, which is—if you look at value, if it were a real estate balance sheet, the debt is tiny, but we still want to pay it down. It doesn’t matter.

    We don’t look at it as a piece of real estate. It’s America. We’re going to get it down through intelligence, hard work, and—as Elon said—a word called ‘caring.’ You have to care.

    By doing this, Americans will tell us where there’s waste. They’ll be reporting it themselves. They participate in the process of saving money. So many of the men and women in this room, as an example, pay tremendous amounts of taxes.

        RINO Senator Susan Collins announced Thursday morning that she is a “NO” vote on Kash Patel’s confirmation.

        Democrat Senators used the last hour of debate before the final confirmation vote to trash Kash Patel.

        The final vote to confirm Kash Patel began at 1:58 pm ET.

        Update: RINO Senators Murkowski and Collins voted against Patel.

        After breaking rank with several of Trump’s cabinet nominees, Senator Mitch McConnell voted to confirm Kash Patel.

      As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Kash Patel as America’s next FBI Director.

      His confirmation did not come easily. Two of the Senate’s lead RINOs, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine, voted against him, while every single Democrat voted no. Surprisingly, fellow RINO Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky voted yes.

      The Senate broke the filibuster on Patel’s nomination in a 51-47 vote earlier on Thursday.

      Now, Patel has released his first comments since his confirmation, and MAGA Nation will love them. His fiery statement should also send shivers down the spines of the Deep State and America’s enemies.

      “I am honored to be confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” Patel wrote on X. “Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence and support.”

      Patel then vowed to end the two-tiered justice system the FBI has practiced for decades while vowing to be honest and transparent with the American people.

      “The FBI has a storied legacy—from the “G-Men” to safeguarding our nation in the wake of 9/11. The American people deserve an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice,” he stated. “The politicization of our justice system has eroded public trust—but that ends today.”

      “My mission as Director is clear: let good cops be cops—and rebuild trust in the FBI,” he added. “Working alongside the dedicated men and women of the Bureau and our partners, we will rebuild an FBI the American people can be proud of.”

      Patel then sent a dire warning to those who seek to harm the American people.

      “And to those who seek to harm Americans—consider this your warning,” he said. “We will hunt you down in every corner of this planet.”

    On Thursday morning, Hamas terrorists released the bodies of four Israeli hostages, including two murdered babies.

    The body of Kfir Bibas, the youngest hostage taken at just nine months old, was paraded through the streets to celebratory music along with the bodies of his brother, Ariel, only four when he was kidnapped, and their mother, Shiri, 33.

    Israel’s X account shared the following about Oded, “We are heartbroken to announce that the body of hostage Oded Lifshitz (85) has been identified.”

    “A devoted husband to Yocheved for 63 years, father of four, journalist, kibbutz leader, and peace activist for six decades, Oded dedicated his life to the pursuit of peace.”

    “He found joy in playing the piano, teaching his grandchildren and kibbutz children Israeli folk songs.”

    “On October 7, terrorists stormed his and Yocheved’s home. As Oded held the shelter door shut, they shot through it, wounding him.”

    “He was taken alive—only to be murdered in captivity.”

    “May his memory be a blessing.”

    The New York Post reports, “The four coffins containing the victims were displayed on stage in front of a disturbing mural depicting a bloody Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — with fangs — standing over pictures of the Bibas family and Lifshiftz, alongside a propagandist inscription.”

    Thousands of cheering Gazans lined the streets with celebratory music to cheer as the coffins were transferred to the Red Cross who will return the murdered hostages to Israel for burial.

    The murdered babies’ father, Yarden Bibas, was released in early February, unsure of the fate of his young family.
    The Bibas family, including their two babies, were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists.

    Palestinians have released Yarden Bibas in an exchange for their convicts.

    He was released alone, without his wife and children. Their fate remains unconfirmed but they were not released with the women.

  9. No innocent civilians: Why Gazans have earned their transfer

    Let’s talk about Gaza’s residents. Let’s discuss them again now because the new Trump narrative about them – regardless of whether motivated by real estate or international legal considerations – packages them in a confusing and misleading way. The relocation idea itself isn’t bad, but the reasoning behind it is flawed.

    The Gazans are not unfortunate and pitiful victims of the war who need to be rescued from the ruins and given hope and a future elsewhere through consensual transfer. On the contrary: Gaza is the modern-day Sodom, and many of its men, women, and children are “wicked sinners.”

    The Trump packaging – even if unintentionally – rehabilitates the Gazans, and it is misleading and wrong, as we’re not talking about a few bad apples that grew there, but rather a population that either is Hamas or supports Hamas, deeply involved in the massacre, kidnappings and cult of “martyrs,” death and murder…

    Tens of thousands of Gazans took part in tunneling Gaza, profited from this death enterprise, and kept its secrets. Tens of thousands of Strip residents earned their living over the years from the smuggling industry and Gaza weapons production.

    Tens of thousands participated in the “March of Return” – a laundered name for terror marches along the fence that included attempted breaches into Israel, throwing explosive devices and firebombs, and launching incendiary kites that set our fields ablaze.

    On the eve of the massacre, thousands of such “uninvolved” individuals participated in marches marking weak points and breach locations and planted explosives. They took part in the massive deception operation that succeeded beyond Hamas’ wildest expectations.

    About 20,000 “uninvolved” Gazan workers were employed in Israeli communities near Gaza before the massacre. Some provided Hamas with detailed intelligence that aided the massacre …. This was part of the pogrom’s infrastructure, the “uninvolved’s” contribution to the atrocity.

    “Uninvolved” individuals also participated in the massacre itself – thousands of Gazans, including elderly leaning on canes and youth in sandals, who came to join in rape, looting, murder, and kidnapping…. Some bodies or body parts were taken by the “uninvolved” to trade in them…

    These “uninvolved” individuals danced in a frenzy around pickup trucks carrying kidnapped children, women, elderly, and young men, shouting “death to the Jews,” and helping Hamas hide them. An entire network of thousands of “uninvolved” apartments aided Hamas in this.

    Niall Ferguson, a neocon British historian, lashed out at Trump’s explosive words by using a quote from former President George HW Bush regarding Kuwait to smear the current commander-in-chief as an appeaser.

    Vance responded to the tweet by calling it “moralistic garbage” while reminding people the war would not have started if Trump was in office and that there was no plan for victory during the Biden regime.

    The VP then rightfully questioned Ferguson’s seemingly limited knowledge regarding the conflict and pointed out Bush Sr. was dealing with a different war from a different time period.

    Vance proceeded to lay out five cold, hard facts regarding the Ukraine war that Ferguson conveniently ignored:

    • Our Western European allies pursue disastrous domestic politics, such as open borders and censorship, while benefiting greatly from American generosity. This offends Americans who rightfully see these nations as freeloading off our country while not doing their part to defend their own backyard (including Ukraine).

    • Russians retain huge advantages in manpower and weapons in Ukraine, and there is nothing the West can do to alter this reality no matter how much money is sent to the sinkhole.

    • The United States has tremendous leverage over both Russia and Ukraine.

    • The only way to end the conflict is by talking to the individuals responsible for starting it and continuing it.

    • The Russia-Ukraine War has stressed multiple levels of American statecraft, from military stockpiles to sanctions. While the continued conflict is awful for Russia, Ukraine, and the rest of Europe, it is also terrible for the United States.

    This is moralistic garbage, which is unfortunately the rhetorical currency of the globalists because they have nothing else to say.

    The Trump administration is formally designating eight Latin American crime organizations as “foreign terrorist organizations,” intensifying pressure on cartels operating in the U.S. and anyone aiding them.

    The Biden administration, by contrast, allowed cartels to flood U.S. streets with fentanyl and permitted thousands of criminals and gang members to enter the country undetected due to open border policies.

    Additionally, under Biden, the U.S. continued to provide trade advantages and financial investments to Mexico, despite the Mexican government’s refusal to curb illegal immigration or confront the drug cartels.

    With this new designation, along with threats of tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and Europe, and the potential withdrawal of U.S. support for NATO, Ukraine, and European defense, Trump is signaling that the United States will no longer write checks for the rest of the world without expecting something in return.

    In the case of Mexico, Trump is making it clear that the U.S. will not continue supporting Mexico’s economy unless the country takes responsibility for reclaiming control from the cartels.

    In the early weeks of Trump’s second term, on January 27, 2025, U.S. Border Patrol agents exchanged gunfire with suspected Mexican cartel members near the U.S.-Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley.

    The incident highlights the ongoing dangers stemming from the weak Biden presidency, as well as the challenges faced by the Trump administration in its efforts to ramp up border security.

    Shots were fired from the Mexican side, prompting Border Patrol agents to return fire and request backup. Fortunately, no injuries were reported on either side.

    According to the Department of Homeland Security, the cartel members were attempting to smuggle a group across the river but did not make it onto U.S. soil.

    In response, Texas Governor Greg Abbott deployed an additional 400 Texas National Guard members to strengthen security in the region, known for cartel activity and human smuggling.

    Congressman Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) reminded the country last week why the Second Amendment is so vital to the United States.

    The former Long Beach mayor called on the Democratic Party to “bring actual weapons” in the “fight for democracy.”

    Those are chilling and dangerous words coming from a lawmaker who wants to strip every law-abiding citizen of their rights to keep and bear arms. Rep. Garcia made the call-to-action at the same time he used derogatory language to belittle Elon Musk, who has been heading up President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

    The remarks weren’t the product of heated and passionate debate. He planned them. Rep Garcia brought a poster-sized photo of Musk to the hearing, referring to the image as a “d— pic.”

    After that, he doubled down. On both his foul language and his call to arms.

    “I think [Musk is] also harming the American public in an enormous way,” Rep. Garcia told CNN’s host Brianna Keilar, according to Fox News. “And what I think is really important and what the American public want is for us to bring actual weapons to this bar fight. This is an actual fight for democracy, for the future of this country.”

    ‘Incite Violence’

    The row is rooted in President Trump’s slashing of the federal workforce, a promise he made on the campaign trail. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) wasn’t standing for it. She quickly introduced a censure resolution saying “violence, threats of violence, or attempts to incite violence against Federal employees should not be tolerated in the House of Representatives.”

    “The Left is running like roaches with the light on over @DOGE,” Rep. Mace posted on X. “@RepRobertGarcia went far beyond the pale last night, calling for weapons to be used against @ElonMusk. This won’t be ignored. We’re making an example out of him.”

    Rep. Garcia dismissed anyone considering taking him at his work for American citizens to heed his call and take up arms for his agenda.

    “Obviously, I was using a figure of speech,” Rep. Garcia told The Long Beach Post.

    Except he wasn’t. And he didn’t. Rep. Garcia said he wanted the Democratic Party to “bring actual weapons.” Then, he doubled down on it.

    This might be the first time Rep. Garcia has indicated any support for private firearm ownership. He’s in favor of banning Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs) and banning adults under 21 from possessing a firearm. He also wants so-called “universal background checks” which would require a national firearm registry to work and would be very convenient that Rep. Garcia would know exactly who owned what firearms and where they are stored. Rep. Garcia wants to institute a federal licensing system. That would be even more convenient because he could ensure only those who support his political agenda would be approved.

    Sound Orwellian enough? Not for Rep. Garcia. He wants people to “bring actual weapons” in his fight against President Trump and those carrying out his agenda. That’s an actual threat of war. Pitting Americans against a duly-elected president and the administration carrying out that president’s agenda – and the duly-elected Congress and the judiciary – isn’t only maniacal. It’s the very definition of tyranny.
    Second Amendment Solution

    That’s exactly why the Founding Fathers included the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights – to protect the citizens against a tyrannical government. The Framers drafted the Bill of Rights – including the Second Amendment – after throwing off a tyrannical government that kicked off their oppression by ignoring the will of the people it governed and attempted to seize their arms.

    James Madison drafted the Second Amendment and is also believed to have drafted Federalist 51, in which he famously wrote, “If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.”

    But Madison recognized then what we’re seeing today. Those representing us in Congress are no angels. The Second Amendment is the guardrail against that by telling the government what it cannot do. The biggest check on a tyrannical government is an armed citizenry. It literally says it in the text – see the part about being necessary for the security of a free State.
    A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

    This isn’t the first time a sitting Member of Congress – or even a president – threatened war against U.S. citizens who dare to exercise their freedoms. Rep. Eric Swalwell did it in 2018. President Biden did it as recently as 2024. Both times, they were in response to calls to ban guns from those who obey the law.

    Get that? They threaten to break laws to seize the guns that Americans would use to guard against a tyrannical government that threatens war against gun owners. Does that sound as crazy as it seems? Well, that’s because it is.

    These same lawmakers scratch their heads and wonder why NSSF and others won’t “compromise” with their gun-grabbing schemes.

    That violent rhetoric shouldn’t be tolerated. Not in the streets and certainly not in the U.S. Capitol by a sitting member of Congress. However, true to form, those who want to steal away gun rights from law-abiding Americans are particularly verbose in threatening war when it suits their political agenda.

    Two Israeli soldiers holidaying in the Netherlands cut their vacation short and returned to Israel out of fear of prosecution. The pro-Palestine group Hind Rajab Foundation accused them of war crimes in Gaza based on photos the soldiers allegedly took of them torturing Palestinians. The foundation wanted to file a lawsuit against them in the Netherlands, so the soldiers fled, NOS reports.
    On Sunday, photos appeared on social media showing the two soldiers enjoying their holiday in Amsterdam. These photos were shared alongside photos of blindfolded Palestinians in Gaza that were allegedly taken by the two soldiers.
    According to the broadcaster, the Israeli authorities ordered the soldiers to stay in their hotel rooms while an Israeli insurance company worked on repatriating them. The Times of Israel reported that insurance company PassportCard had set aside 1 million dollars to repatriate Israeli soldiers to avoid prosecution for war crimes.
    Traveling Israeli soldiers have been confronted with war crime reports in over 12 countries. In Brazil, for example, an Israeli fled the country after a local court ordered the police to investigate the soldier. According to Israeli media, the Amsterdam case was the first time it involved conscripted Israeli soldiers. In the other cases, they were army reservists. These cases are all separate from the arrest warrants against Israeli leaders issued by the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

    Court has sentenced four men to 25 years in prison for the murder of Roshin, a 28-year-old Apeldoorn woman. The court found that the men—two brothers and two cousins of the victim—conspired to kill her because they believed she had dishonored the family. One of the cousins, 37-year-old Ahmad A., was also her ex-husband. When the verdict was read in the Arnhem courtroom, 36-year-old suspect Peshang A. tried to run off, but was restrained by officials, according to ANP.
    The court emphasized the brutality of the crime, stating that “a more horrific end to a human life is hardly imaginable.” The woman’s young daughter witnessed the attack, an experience the court described as deeply traumatizing. “The child lost everything she knew in an instant. She must now continue her life without her mother,” the court stated.
    The woman was walking with her three-year-old daughter on the Casper Fagelstraat in Apeldoorn on September 5, 2023, when she was attacked. Her eldest brother, Peshang, stabbed her 28 times, killing her at the scene. The 36-year-old confessed to the murder. The Gelderland District Court in Arnhem ruled that all four men were guilty of murder and of planning the attack in advance.
    When police placed the daughter in a car after the attack, the child said, “Mama, ouch.” She then also reportedly looked down at her legs, which were covered in her mother’s blood, and said to the officer, “Yuck, yuck.”
    The two other men Roshin’s younger brother, 28-year-old Ahmad A. who was living in Voorburg at the time. The older man by the same name was living in Germany along with the fourth suspect, 27-year-old Walid A.
    According to prosecutors, Roshin had left her ex-husband and chosen to live independently instead of moving in with her parents, as is customary in some conservative Syrian families. She had also begun a relationship with a married man.
    Intercepted messages between the suspects revealed their disdain. “Roshin does whatever she wants. She deserves to be cut into pieces and thrown away, whether we are in Europe or not,” one message read.
    Her ex-husband also allegedly wrote, “If the girl [their daughter] wasn’t there, I would have strangled her already.”
    The suspects justified the murder as necessary to “wash away” the dishonor Roshin had brought to the family. Her mother also reportedly called her a “whore” in messages, reinforcing the family’s belief that she had tarnished their reputation.
    During the trial, the eldest brother denied premeditation, claiming he had acted impulsively under the influence of cocaine. “I was angry. Nobody told me to do it,” he said.
    But prosecutors presented the audio recordings and text messages between the four suspects to detail their planning. They discussed acquiring a knife, surveilling Roshin’s home, and deciding on her fate. The eldest brother was chosen to carry out the killing so the others could claim innocence. They even agreed to collectively cover any legal expenses.
    According to audio and chat messages exchanged between the men, it was clear they had already jointly taken the position that the woman had to die, the court ruled. In July 2023, they traveled together to Apeldoorn with the intention of murdering her. However, when they were unable to locate her, they abandoned the plan. Two months later, they returned and carried out the attack.
    The court rejected arguments that only the eldest brother was responsible for the killing. “The men deliberately worked together in both planning and executing the murder,” the ruling stated.
    Further, the judges said they found no evidence that the men considered the consequences for the child. “Their honor weighed more than the life of the woman and the impact on her daughter.” The men were also ordered to pay the child 70,000 euros in damages.

    The young woman in the video sounds desperate.

    Sitting on a bed in a hotel room surrounded by eight other people, including several children, she explains to the camera that they’re all Iranian Christians who journeyed to the U.S.-Mexico border near Tijuana to seek asylum – then were shackled and flown six hours in a military plane to Panama.

    “All of our cases are legitimate,” she says, her eyes burrowing with worry. “I’m a protester in Iran with a record. I can’t go back.”

    The woman – later identified as 27-year-old Artemis Ghasemzadeh – was part of a group of Iranian Christians, as well as migrants from Afghanistan, Nepal, China and other countries, who were recently flown from the U.S. to Panama and Costa Rica.

    The flights are part of President Donald Trump and his administration’s strategy of outsourcing some of its most challenging deportations and removing as many people as possible who are in the U.S. without permission. On Thursday, the administration took another step designating eight gangs from Latin America as “foreign terrorist organizations,” increasing the reach of U.S. law enforcement as they race to deport record number of migrants and deliver on one of Trump’s biggest campaign promises.

    But these deportation flights trample migrant’s rights and could return some asylum-seekers to dangerous situations, immigrant advocates and attorneys say.

    “This is unprecedented,” Hillary Walsh, an immigration attorney in Phoenix whose office has been in touch with the Iranians in Panama, said of the new flights. “It’s not making asylum law hard – it’s eliminating asylum law.”
