This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.
So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

One day years ago when my car didn’t start I learned to check for two things: gas and spark. You start there with a dead engine. I learned this after the garage ripped me off for hundreds of dollars for what was a two-minute fix.
In 2008 when I lost a bunch of money in The Great Recession I learned one thing: don’t trust money managers to handle your money. They don’t care beyond their commission.
The more I subsequently learned about economics, the less I felt I knew. I still feel this way, but spark and gas still apply. I have surely bored this readership ever since with my fascination for this corner of the universe.
Regardless, strange things are happening in this field that very few people understand, including yours truly.
I will stick with precious metals as some litmus to the mystery I cannot define.
A pattern of rising values on the overnight Asian market recently seemed to reverse, with values rising until Western markets opened. Metals were then smashed back down by Wall Street for both pofit and dollar defense. Now in reverse the western markets rise while Asia falls. This morning metals are way up in Asia as I write this, however, so this is not a reliable pattern.
It is said less than 1% of people in the West own precious metals, so the current rise is not driven by retail. Pension funds seem not yet to be buying, so it may be central banks, or the rich.
The dynamics started to change when PT took office. We know Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is a gold bug. There is endless speculation as to what this means, if anything.
Will a Bretton Woods 3 arrangement oversee a weekend revaluation of gold? For every $4,000 rise per ounce, one-trillion dollars of debt is extinguished. With the U.S. purportedly holding 8,300 tons there certainly is room to impact the debt in this manner. And make no bones, Bessent is perfectly aware of the debt death spiral the U.S. is in: spending begets printing begets printing to pay interest begets more printing. It’s a doom loop and an existential threat.
Proof that 99% of westerners are oblivious to this danger is that less than 1% own the metals. What happens when msm changes its tune, and stops broadcasting the Keynesian mantra that debt is money? J.P. Morgan gave it straight in 1913: gold is money, everything else is credit. We have been fed illusory economic Keynesian pablum since the gold standard was fully dismantled August 15, 1971. Since that time the dollar backed by guns and oil did a good soft shoe, but it was not the real deal. Proof of this is your sad purchasing power, and the doom loop. Yes, folks, we’ve been had. Suckered.
Remember, spark and gas. When you see that gold or silver have gone up, look again because they have not moved. It is the dollar that has dropped against them.
Given that PT walks like a counter-revolutionary duck, and quacks like one too, it is highly probable he intends to do something about the debt and the dollar. Don’t forget, too, that this fix also kills much of wokism, corruption, the drug epidemic, and anything else that relies on over-printed fiat currency floating around. The Pelosis of this world will dry up starved of grift and graft.
It appears PT is giving it his best shot. People criticize him for only wanting to hang with billionaires. I think he does this partly because it is one way to eliminate posers to the patriotic front. He doesn’t care for people who are in it for the money.
As an aside, what happens once retail and pension funds wake up?
Since PT-2 the American commodities exchange has been draining the London gold pool so fast that London can no longer deliver spot gold. Spot means On The Spot–not four to eight weeks from now. This is a failure to deliver that msm is not reporting, so is therefore hiding. If you or I fail to deliver we are deemed insolvent.
Naked or close to naked short sellers need bullion on hand in case the bets they make in the futures market with no, or little money down (hence naked) go against them. This is one reason given for the massive influx of bullion into the COMEX (commodities exchange).
My intuition tells me that the tide is on its way out, and all the naked swimmers will soon be exposed. Close your eyes.

I think we can all agree on a few things:
We have $36 trillion of national debt growing at a rapid rate, that must be refinanced and issued at a materially higher interest rate as our bonds come due and as new funds are needed.
We had a $1.8 trillion deficit in fiscal 2024.
There is an enormous amount of fraud, waste, and inappropriate spending in our government budget.
It is illegal and/or otherwise should not be permitted for our government to fund activities that it cannot do directly through NGOs and other non-profits.

Talked to a friend who has connections within the Democratic Party and he said the level of panic over Trump and Elon shutting down USAID is unlike anything he’s ever seen.
By following the money DOGE has struck a killing blow to the heart of the Democrat deep state machine.

So basically USAID allocates funds for a certain initiative that looks reasonable. Democrat friendly NGO is contracted to carry out initiative. NGO #1 subcontracts “VIP” which is another NGO owned/operated by a political ally or Democrat politician. Eventually the funds reach the secret intended target and the original problem is not solved. This means they can continue to rinse and repeat this grift.

The theft of approximately 100,000 eggs from the back of a distribution trailer in central Pennsylvania is under investigation, authorities say, as the grocery staple has become scarce in some areas due to an avian flu outbreak and prices are reaching near-record highs.
The eggs, worth an estimated $40,000, were stolen from egg producers Pete & Gerry’s Organics in Greencastle Saturday night, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police.
“Pete & Gerry’s is aware of a recent incident in Franklin County, Pennsylvania and we are actively working with local law enforcement to investigate,” the company said in a statement to CNN Tuesday.
Empty shelves are seen in the egg section of a grocery store on January 23, 2025 in Miami, Florida. Grocery stores across the nation are running short on eggs, and the situation may not improve for months. The avian influenza has killed as many as 17.2 million egg-laying hens, causing an egg shortage.

“We take this matter seriously and are committed to resolving it as quickly as possible. Due to the ongoing investigation we cannot comment any further on this matter,” the statement said.
The egg industry has faced considerable challenges in recent months with the resurgence of an avian flu outbreak that has killed millions of egg-laying hens. Nearly half of all birds killed by the virus in 2024 were egg-laying hen deaths that occurred in November and December, according to the USDA.
The national average price of eggs was a hot-button issue in the leadup to the US presidential election in November, and consumers and restaurants continue to feel the pinch of higher prices with a shortened supply.
The average price of a dozen large, grade-A eggs was $4.15 in December, up from $3.65 in November, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Egg prices were also up more than 36% year-over-year in December, according to the Consumer Price Index.

The U.S. Army recently announced it shattered previous recruiting records, with December 2024 being the most productive December in 15 years.
The branch reported it enlisted nearly 350 soldiers every day that month, Army officials announced Tuesday on social media.
“Our Recruiters have one of the toughest jobs – inspiring the next generation of #Soldiers to serve. Congratulations and keep up the great work! #BAYCB,” Army recruiting officials wrote in a post on X.

It did not take long for Democrats to begin the process of overturning the results of President Trump’s historic election victory.
Radical left Rep. Al Green (D-TX) on Wednesday morning went on an insane rampage against Trump’s provocative comments during a press conference Tuesday night with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from Israel. As Jim Hoft reported, Trump floated the idea of the US taking over the Gaza Strip and redeveloping it.
Doing so could force Gaza residents, who almost uniformly hate Jews and the West, to leave and bring more peace to Israel.
But rather than carefully considering Trump’s comments like Democrat Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Green instead had a total meltdown on the House floor and announced he was going to impeach Trump.
“Ethnic cleansing in Gaza is not a joke!” Green shouted. “Especially when it emanates from the President of the United States.”
“The Prime Minister of Israel should be ashamed!” he continued. “Knowing the history of his people and allowing such things to be said!”
Green went on to continue to whine about Trump’s comments about Gaza and trash Netanyahu for several more seconds before finally getting to the point: he will be impeaching Trump for “dastardly deeds” without elaborating.
“I rise today to announce the movement to impeach the President has begun!” Green shouted. “I rise today to announce I will bring articles of impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done!”

The House Oversight Committee on Wednesday devolved into chaos after the Democrats, who are in the minority, failed to subpoena Elon Musk.
Democrat lawmakers lashed out at Elon Musk for shaking up Washington with his DOGE team.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Wednesday released the raw ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.
Last week it was reported that the FCC is investigating CBS’s deceptively edited 60 Minutes interview with former Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
President Trump’s FCC Chair Brendan Carr demanded that CBS hand over the unedited transcript of the infamous ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.
On Wednesday, the FCC released an unedited, raw version of Harris’s ’60 Minutes’ interview.

CBS News responded with a statement:

CBS is considering settling a $10 billion lawsuit brought by Trump over its deceptively edited ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris and the network’s staffers are fuming.
According to CNN, reports that the network is in talks of settling with Trump ‘sparked outrage in CBS’ newsroom.’
“Trump’s lawsuit was a joke, but if we settle, we become the laughingstock,” a CBS correspondent said on condition of anonymity, according to CNN.
CBS executives are reportedly worried ongoing litigation with President Trump will interfere with a merger with Skydance.
“Paramount, owner of CBS, its namesake studio and several cable channels, has a major piece of business in front of the new administration: its planned merger with Skydance Media,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “It’s become clear to executives at both companies that Trump’s dissatisfaction with CBS News will make the review tougher than they anticipated, and that they’ll likely need to offer concessions to win approval, people familiar with the situation said.”
In October President Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion for deceptively editing its ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.

Responding to the Trump Administration’s shutdown of USAID Headquarters this week, Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (NY) foreshadowed that “this is just the beginning.”
Schumer, who is currently under investigation by the DOJ for targeting and threatening Supreme Court Justices, railed against Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for their “attacks” on the United States International Development Agency (USAID).
The agency is a slush fund for Democrats, globalist interventionism, and woke radical left programs. It’s also the worst offender of violating Presidential Executive Orders, according to Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency.
As recently revealed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, in a scathing rebuke of the agency, they spent $2.5 million of taxpayer dollars to promote DEI in Serbia, $70,000 for a DEI musical in Ireland, $47,000 for a transgender opera in Columbia, and $32,000 for a transgender comic book in Peru.
USAID also funded hundreds of nefarious projects worldwide, including coronavirus gain-of-function research in China.
On Monday, President Trump shut down USAID’s headquarters in DC, locking employees out of the headquarters and sending an email in the middle of the night telling them to stay home.
Trump said the night before, on Sunday, that USAID is run “by a bunch of radical lunatics” and that we are “getting them out.”
In a speech on the Senate Floor this week, Schumer said, “You can be sure they’ll move on to another target tomorrow.” He added, “Maybe it’ll be the Postal Service, or the IRS, or even the Social Security Administration.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump announced before taking office last month that he would create an External Revenue Service to counter the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) taxation of American citizens with tariffs on foreign imports.
Within hours of his swearing-in, President Trump signed a Memorandum titled “America First Trade Policy,” where he directed the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of Commerce, and the Secretary of Homeland Security to “investigate the feasibility of establishing and recommend the best methods for designing, building, and implementing an External Revenue Service (ERS) to collect tariffs, duties, and other foreign trade-related revenues.”
The President, speaking in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 25, then announced plans to make good on his “No Tax on Tips” campaign promise and floated the idea of abolishing personal income taxes “if the tariffs work out.”
Schumer apparently doesn’t know that Americans are sick of being threatened with imprisonment if they don’t give a large percentage of their income to the government to fund foreign wars and leftwing causes.

CNN reported Wednesday afternoon that Attorney General Pam Bondi will be ordering an investigation of the BS cases brought against President Donald Trump, including those undertaken by prosecutors in New York.
This means Marxist Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg will be in hot water. Recall in his case against Trump, the jury did not need to reach a unanimous decision on the specific “unlawful means” that Trump was accused of in the case. They just have to sense that he is guilty.

Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove said in a memo that the FBI agents who ‘simply followed orders’ in January 6 cases will not be fired.

Another FBI purge is imminent as the Trump Admin prepares to fire FBI officials involved in the January 6 cases.
However, Emil Bove said not all FBI employees involved in the January 6 cases will be terminated.
“Let me be clear: No FBI employee who simply followed orders and carried out their duties in an ethical manner with respect to January 6 investigations is at risk of termination or other penalties,” Emil Bove wrote in a memo according to Fox News. “The only individuals who should be concerned about the process initiated by my January 31, 2025 memo are those who acted with corrupt or partisan intent, who blatantly defied orders from Department leadership, or who exercised discretion in weaponizing the FBI.”
Bove continued, “There is no honor in the ongoing efforts to distort that simple truth or protect culpable actors from scrutiny on these issues, which have politicized the Bureau, harmed its credibility, and distracted the public from the excellent work being done every day. If you have witnessed such behavior, I encourage you to report it through appropriate channels.”

FBI employees who “simply followed orders” with respect to their investigations into Jan. 6 defendants will not be fired or face any other penalties, Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove confirmed in an internal memo.
Bove’s memo this week accused Acting FBI Director Brian Driscoll of refusing to reply to requests from President Donald Trump’s administration to identify “the core team in Washington, D.C. responsible for the investigation relating to events on January 6, 2021.”
“That insubordination necessitated, among other things, the directive in my January 31, 2025 memo to identify all agents assigned to investigations relating to January 6, 2021. In light of acting leadership’s refusal to comply with the narrower request, the written directive was intended to obtain a complete data set that the Justice Department can reliably pare down to the core team that will be the focus of the weaponization review pursuant to the Executive Order,” Bove wrote.
According to NBC News, there were more than 2,400 cases in total – but 5,000 officials involved.
The FBI officials who worked on the J6 cases and Trump investigations were identified by a case management system.
NBC News reporter Ken Dilanian said that the list does not include names of the agents, rather, the agents were identified by a number called a “unique employee identifier.”
“The Justice Department, of course, can match the numbers with names on the payroll. But by leaving the names off, the FBI ensure that for now there is not a master list floating around of the names of people who worked on January 6th,” he said.
A person directly familiar with a matter tells NBC News the FBI has turned over to the Justice Department—as ordered—a list of thousands of agents and other personnel involved in January 6 cases.

Some of America’s biggest cities are about to lose millions in federal funding if they do not cooperate with the Trump Administration to hand over illegal aliens.
Fox News exclusively reported on Wednesday that Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered the DOJ to stop all federal funding for sanctuary cities.
These places, including LA and New York City, have broken federal law for years without repercussions from the Republican and Democratic administrations. This has severely hampered immigration officials’ ability to ensure public safety while criminal aliens terrorize ordinary Americans.
The results have been tragic, particularly under the Biden regime.
The news gets even better, though. Bondi has also ordered the prosecution of any jurisdiction impeding immigration enforcement. This opens the door for the feds to arrest local and state officials for defying immigration laws and harboring illegal migrants.

In the context of a ‘powder-keg Europe’ where all they’ve done for years now is worry and plan to fight the bogeyman Russians, it is shocking to see how German governments have allowed their armed forces to sink to such a sorry state.
It arises now that the Bundeswehr (German army) is currently in the process of equipping and training its 10th Armored Division to be the first division geared for full operational readiness.
You read it right: in Germany, right now, at most ‘part of a division’ would be ready for combat in the event of a military conflict.
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported (translated from the German):
“Frank Haun, the then head of the armaments company KNDS, said in June 2024 about the current situation of the Bundeswehr in an interview with the F.A.Z.: ‘We can still defend Augsburg with it, but Munich and Berlin [we] cannot’. For the foreseeable future, Germany will therefore be dependent on friends and partners, especially on the units of the American army stationed in Germany’.”
The unprepared Bundeswehr aims to be ‘the backbone’ of European defense forces.

“There are currently around 38,500 US Army soldiers in Germany, 14,000 of them on a rotational basis, according to the US European Command of the F.A.Z. The largest units are the aforementioned European Command in Wiesbaden, the 56th Artillery Command in Wiesbaden, the 12th Combat Aviation Division in Bavaria and Hesse, equipped with helicopters, the 10th Air and Missile Command in Rhineland-Palatinate and the training center in Bavaria.”
Ramstein is the largest American Air Force base outside the US. Landstuhl is home to the largest American hospital overseas, and there are other units distributed in barracks in southern Germany.

After the Cold War, the German army shrank dramatically.
The Bundeswehr has a little more than 300 tanks – but only about 100 of them are operational. Compare this to 4,000 tanks back in 1992 and as many as 2,400 in 2004.
“However, Germany would have to rely on the United States not only in the event of a conflict, but also when it comes to preventing one, especially in terms of deterrence. After the Cold War, the United States withdrew all ground-based nuclear-capable missile systems with a range of between 500 and 5,500 kilometers from Germany. In July last year, however, Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and then-American President Joe Biden agreed to bring such systems back to Germany.
As the announcement said, this stationing will include three systems: Tomahawk cruise missiles, which are to have a range of up to 2500 kilometers, the so-called Standard Missile, a ballistic missile with a range of up to 1600 kilometers, and the hypersonic missile called Dark Eagle, which is still under development, which is to fly up to 3000 kilometers. Bondi issued a directive regarding “zealous advocacy.” Bondi said DOJ attorneys’ responsibilities include “aggressively enforcing criminal laws passed by Congress, but also vigorously defending presidential policies and actions on behalf of the United States against legal challenges.”
“The discretion afforded Justice Department attorneys with respect to those responsibilities does not include latitude to substitute their personal political views or judgments for those that prevailed in the election,” the memo states.

Brandon Wright, a GS-14 Platform Services Manager for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), admitted that career officials within the department actively resist directives from political appointees, including newly appointed DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
“The truth is, we don’t let them [secretaries] get in our way,” Wright disclosed to an undercover O’Keefe Media journalist. He went on to explain the deeply entrenched bureaucratic resistance within DHS, likening it to a multi-layered septic system that filters out directives it does not align with. “There’s a lot of layers, like [in] government… By the time the actual marching orders get to me and below, we can filter it in a way that steadies the ship.”
This admission exposes a deliberate effort within the department to manipulate the interpretation of policy decisions based on personal and ideological preferences, rather than faithfully executing the agenda set by elected and appointed officials. “If we don’t agree with those priorities,” Wright stated, confirming that DHS officials often redefine priorities they oppose to make them more palatable to their own perspectives: “There’s a lot of room for interpretation.”
Wright didn’t mince words about his view of Kristi Noem’s ability to lead the department, declaring: “Kristi Noem doesn’t know… She doesn’t know her ass.” He went even further, casting doubt on her competency: “The Department of Homeland Security could fall on her f*cking head, and she wouldn’t recognize what it is.”
His disdain for Noem’s leadership was clear, as he admitted: “To say that I am not excited about this would be the most epic understatement.”
The Department of Homeland Security provided the following statement to O’Keefe Media Group:
“Secretary Noem has not seen the video in its entirety. This type of behavior will not be tolerated. This person has been placed on leave and is under investigation… The senior official says the termination of the official is imminent.”

Armed Pilot Thwarts Teen’s Attempt to Get Plane at Gunpoint

A pilot at a small airport in Arkansas is being hailed as a hero after stopping an armed teen who had demanded a plane at gunpoint on Tuesday morning thanks to his own ability to access a firearm.

The bizarre situation unfolded at the Texarkana Regional Airport just after 7:30 Tuesday morning, when the 15-year-old strolled into a building operated by Signature Aviation that serves as a private terminal for small aircraft. Armed with a handgun and a rifle, the teen told a startled employee that he wanted a plane. After promising to help, the employee fled to a back room, locked the door, and dialed 911 to alert authorities.
When the teen realized the employee wasn’t coming back, he left the office and entered the runway portion of the airfield, where he was confronted by a pilot who had grabbed a gun of his own from his truck. He ordered the teen to the ground, and the 15-year-old complied without a struggle, allowing the pilot to take control of the teen’s firearms.
“The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department applauds the heroic act by the local pilot,” the agency said in a news release, without naming the pilot. “The fact that this incident was resolved quickly and peacefully, despite the extreme danger presented, is highly commendable.”
… [Airport director Paul] Mehrlich applauded the terminal’s staff and the pilot for acting calmly to stop the suspect.
“They remained calm despite being openly threatened, and then the pilot, who stepped up, put himself in harm’s way,” Mr. Mehrlich said in an interview. “That was very heroic. We had no injuries, no deaths. We consider this an example of where everything kind of goes right.”
In a statement, Signature Aviation said: “All guests and team members are safe and accounted for, which is always our top priority. We are cooperating with local authorities who are investigating the situation.”

Authorities have said the teen, who was described as living outside the Texarkana area, also had a shotgun in his vehicle. Police haven’t announced any motive for the 15-year-old’s attempt to take a plane at gunpoint, or why he chose the regional airport close to the Texas/Arkansas border, but if he had tried to carry out his plan in a less gun-friendly area he might very well have succeeded, or at the very least, harmed multiple individuals before police had the chance to respond.
The fact that this unnamed pilot was able to access a gun of his own appears to have made all the difference here. Yes, the employee who was first confronted by the teen did the smart thing by retreating to a room and locking themselves inside while calling 911, but the pilot was able to stop the threat posed by the teenager before the first officers showed up in response.
I’m sure the responding officers got to the scene as quickly as possible, but they wouldn’t have arrived in time to prevent the teen from shooting up the aviation office or attacking airport employees on the tarmac. Thankfully there was an armed citizen who had the ability and opportunity to intervene before things went even more sideways. When seconds count police are minutes away, as the saying goes, and that was certainly the case in Texarkana on Tuesday.

Swedish School Shooting Should Shatter Gun Control Myths

Gun control advocates step up after every mass murder in a public school to tell us that the problem is that we won’t accept the inevitable; that gun control is the only possible solution to any such horrors and that our refusal to go along can only be because we like seeing dead kids or something like that.

It’s insulting in general, and some of us find it especially insulting.
Part of the reason we find it insulting is that humans are designed to protect children. It’s something we’ve done since the dawn of time, and while there are broken people who do the opposite, the reality is that most of us do want to keep kids safe. That extends beyond just children, though, and goes toward people in general, at least in most cases.
We just don’t believe gun control does any such thing. Not for children and not for older folks, either on a school campus or anywhere else.
And a shooting in Sweden highlights just why.
Police said at least 10 people were killed at a school on Tuesday, in what has been described as the worst mass shooting in Sweden’s history. The suspected perpetrator also died.
A large number of people were injured after a gunman opened fire at a campus in the city of Örebro in central Sweden, according to Roberto Eid Forest, the head of the city’s police district.
Police said that the perpetrator was not known to them before the shooting and that he was not connected to any gangs. They also said there is currently no information indicating that the shooter acted based on ideological motives. Police did not say what type of weapon was used by the gunman.
“We think he is a lone perpetrator,” Forest said. He added that the shooting was “extremely tragic, with many involved.”
“It’s a terrible event, it’s exceptional – a nightmare,” Forest added.
Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson offered his condolences to the victims and their families and thanked the police during a press conference on Tuesday. “We’ve today seen brutal, deadly violence against completely innocent people – this is the worst mass shooting in Swedish history,” he said.

So much for that “uniquely American problem” thing, huh?
Let’s understand that 10 people being killed means it was more deadly than many recent mass murders at schools here in the United States despite strict gun control in the Nordic nation.
AWR Hawkins over at Breitbart noted:
This firearm-related violence occurred in a country with stringent gun controls, which include the licensing of all would-be gun owners. The licensing requires “[being] able to certify the purpose of your need to possess a weapon,” according to the Swedish Police.
There is also an ammunition license requirement and a requirement that a license be shown for any weapon borrowed from a friend. There must be a license for each “corresponding weapon.” Moreover, one must have a permit from the Swedish Police in order to trade in firearms, and licenses must be obtained before any firearm is imported into Sweden.
There are various types of gun licenses, each with specific requirements. For example, the Government Offices of Sweden points out that acquiring a license for a firearm to use in target shooting requires “active membership in a shooting club and a certificate verifying that the applicant is an experienced target shooter.”
He also notes there are gun storage requirements and that the government states that gun rights, even for self-defense, are”extremely limited.”
In other words, they’ve got just about everything an American gun control advocate could possibly want and then some, especially if you’re interested in at least pretending like the Second Amendment matters. Sweden goes beyond even that, though, and that’s important.

Why? Because it didn’t stop this awful tragedy.
Now, it’s worth noting that these victims weren’t children, apparently. The school in question is an adult education campus, so these weren’t small elementary-aged kids being gunned down by a maniac. That doesn’t somehow give this dirtball a pass in any way, but it means we’re not talking about dead children here, at least.
But we are talking about 10 dead people and a bunch more who have been injured–though I can’t tell if they were shot or injured in the rush to escape.
Based on what gun control advocates claim, though, this shouldn’t have happened. This couldn’t have happened. Gun control means this can’t take place and yet, it did.
That’s because broken people exist. Some of them break in different ways and one of those ways is a profound desire to murder people in job lots. Until you fix that, you’re never going to address this issue.
Sweden didn’t prevent in and American gun control wouldn’t either.

GSK and P’s RSV vaccines will now carry neurological disorders risk warnings that they can increase the risk of developing Guillian-Barre syndrome, the US FDA has announced.
