Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  4. Under UNIFIL’s Nose, Hizbullah Turned Lebanon Village into Terror Base

    IDF forces operating in Naqoura – a Shiite village on the Israel-Lebanon border located adjacent to a large UNIFIL base in southern Lebanon – found a trove of armaments, including explosive devices, RPGs, AK-47 rifles, Iranian missiles, and anti-tank mortar shells ready for use.

    The site served as a staging ground for Hizbullah’s planned invasion of the Galilee by its Radwan forces, including the occupation of the Israeli city of Nahariya.

    “UN forces did not prevent Hizbullah from amassing so many arms and munitions,” said Col. (res.) Nir Shimri, whose paratroopers have been operating in the village.

    Hizbullah set up one of its largest logistical and strategic hubs on the coastal road leading from the border to Tyre and Sidon, operating alongside the UNIFIL forces.

    It is clearly evident that the international forces were complicit in their silence, given the scope of Hizbullah’s military might, revealed in Naqoura and dozens of other villages.

    “Nearly every home contained stockpiles of military equipment and fortified positions,” Shimri said.

    In the village orchards, troops discovered rocket launchers aimed at Israel and notebooks detailing planned targets in northern Israel.

    The area was riddled with tunnels, command centers, weapon caches and rocket-laden trucks.

    “The closer we moved toward the UN base and the border, the more ammunition we uncovered. It felt as though UNIFIL provided cover for Hizbullah,” a soldier said.

    Dawkins resigned after the foundation censored an article from a fellow scientist who pointed out that sex is, in fact, immutable and biological, and rejected the pseudo-spiritual claim that one can choose their “gender,” The Telegraph reported.

  6. Democrat Influencers Propose that Congress Ignore Election and Start Civil War

    “Congress has the power to block Trump from taking office, but lawmakers must act now,” opinion contributors to The Hill, Evan A. Davis and David M. Schulte, assert in a Thursday screed advocating the representatives of the people ignore the will of the people expressed in the November election, both electorally and popularly.

    Their reason?

    “Disqualification is based on insurrection against the Constitution and not the government. The evidence of Donald Trump’s engaging in such insurrection is overwhelming.”

    What “evidence”? They provide three examples, curiously concluding in each:

    [T]he trial in the Senate…failed to reach the two-thirds vote required for removal from office…
    [T]he U.S. Supreme Court… held that states lack power to disqualify candidates for federal office and … did not address the finding that Trump had engaged in insurrection.
    The inescapable conclusion of this evidence [from the “House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th attack on the United States Capitol”] is that Trump engaged in insurrection against the Constitution.

    After more “if”-filled ramblings long on wishful thinking and short on settled law, we get to their end game:

    If all (Count Act House) votes for Trump were not counted, Kamala Harris would be elected president.

    So, just have career politicians overturn 77,297,721 popular votes…? This from supporters of a party that calls requiring Voter ID racist voter disenfranchisement…?

    These guys are top lawyers? Try top Democrat lawyers. Who want to overturn the will of the people if the vote doesn’t go their way… But when you are part of the Big Club, why should you care about what those who aren’t in it want?
    Not all are as impressed with them as they are with themselves:

    Some of us would use a different word.

    Among other things, Schulte is “an Obama supporter and investment banker with Chicago ties [and] the Guy Who Owns the Obamas’ Vineyard Rental.” He’s also, per Michelle Malkin, a “vulture capitalist” who has “happily embraced the nickname “grave dancer…”

    You know, from the party of the workin’ man.

    Davis is another long-time transparent apparatchik, heading a Richard Nixon impeachment task force, serving as then New York Governor Mario Cuomo’s counsel, and “A candidate for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General in 1998.” And he’s shown us one of the strategies he would like to impose that would be necessary for his latest bright idea:

    “The law treats dangerous dogs more carefully than assault-style rifles,” he shrieked in another rant published by The Hill showing just how delusional Democrat legal influencers can be. “There’s an opening for gun control here — one that can be pursued in court, rather than Congress.”
    Yeah, he went there. What a dope. One who wants to unlawfully invalidate our votes and to unlawfully disarm us. Correction: Have others do it for him.
    And if we say “No”?

    At least he and his partner in subversion are not so detached they think there’s a chance of Congress seating Harris, but that’s because self-serving politicos are first and foremost survivors who, for the most part, know that would start a civil war with the most heavily armed (and extremely peaceable without justifiable provocation) civilian population on the planet. And if they actually believe January 6 was an “insurrection,” wait ‘til they see the response their little plot would bring.

    Still, you gotta wonder: If they believe Donald Trump telling the crowd on Jan. 6, “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,” was his marching order to riot and hang Mike Pence, how much culpability will Davis and Schulte share with other Democrat rabble rousers if Trump is prevented from taking office or prevented from serving by those who heed their words?
    It sure sounds like “seditious conspiracy” to me, but I guess that would have to be decided by the victors…

    New Orleans New Year’s Eve terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar, a US-born army vet, recently traveled to home of the Muslim Brotherhood: Cairo, Egypt.

    At least 15 people were killed, 35 injured after a terrorist identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar plowed through a crowd in New Orleans during the New Year’s Eve celebration.

    According to law enforcement, Jabbar did not work alone and was part of a larger network of terrorists.

    It is also being reported that Jabbar was radicalized at a Muslim Brotherhood mosque in North Houston.

    Per investigative reporter Paul Sperry: CT investigators tell me they’re following leads the Bourbon Street terrorist was radicalized at a pro-jihad MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD mosque in N. Houston that actively converts inmates inside the Texas Dept of Corrections. Jabbar recently traveled to BROTHERHOOD HQ: Cairo.

    Who did Jabbar meet with in Cairo?

    The AP reported that Jabbar, just hours before he carried out the terrorist attack, posted five videos to Facebook claiming he joined ISIS last summer.

    Masjid Bilal ISGH, a mosque in North Houston reportedly attended by Shamsud-Din Jabbar, instructed its members not to speak to the FBI or media.

    Instead, the mosque advised its members to direct law enforcement inquiries to the terror-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) or the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH).

    In a Facebook post, Masjid Bilal ISGH’s leadership instructed its members to avoid speaking to the media and, if approached by the FBI, to refer inquiries to CAIR or ISGH.

    The post read:

    Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

    I’m sure many of you have heard about the tragic events that took place in New Orleans this morning that are now being classified as an “act of terror” by the FBI.

    I want to emphasize the importance of everyone to stay very vigilant and aware of your surroundings.

    The safety of our community is the most important thing.

    If anyone is contacted by the media, it is very important that you do not respond. If approached by the FBI and a response is necessary, please refer to CAIR and ISGH.

    It is crucial that we stay united at this time as we condemn these terrible acts. Please stay safe.

      Its economy is in tatters. Lost revenue from the Suez Canal, drop in tourism revenue, rise in the price of wheat due to wartime disruption of traffic through the Black Sea.

      Yet now Egypt is building its biggest army EVER. The second largest recipient of American foreign aid after Israel[*], just about ALL the money goes to military and internal security forces.

    Matthew Livelsberger was identified as the Tesla truck – Trump Tower bomber on Wednesday.

    As reported earlier at The Gateway Pundit, the perpetrator behind the shocking Cybertruck bombing at Trump Tower Las Vegas has been identified as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

    Senior law enforcement sources confirmed to KOAA news outlet that Livelsberger was the driver of the Cybertruck used in the attack.

    Authorities believe the blast was triggered by a detonation system “controlled by Livelsberger,” who “died in the attack.”

    According to Gateway Pundit contributor Jason Sullivan – Livelsberger was seen wearing a T-shirt with “????? ???????,” which translates to “Glory to Ukraine” in English. This is a well-known slogan associated with Ukrainian patriotism and nationalism. The symbol below the text resembles the trident (tryzub), the national emblem of Ukraine.
    Matt Liveslberger was pictured wearing a “Glory to Ukraine” T-shirt and boasted about helping retired US soldiers get military contracts in Ukraine.

    Now there is evidence that Livelsberger was setting up recently retired US Special Forces soldiers with military contracts in Ukraine.

    He bragged about it on his LinkedIn account.

    I’ve got a top 18D recently ETSd who is looking for just this opportunity, sent him your way,” Livelsberger wrote in response to a hiring contract opp in Ukraine.

      Authorities later released video of Livelsberger leaving Trump Tower parking lot, making a stop around the Sands Hotel, then drive back to Trump Tower and blow up his vehicle.

      MSNBC: Through extensive surveillance video, we were able to track him leaving there, and we know that he went to several different places along Las Vegas Boulevard, and he spent some time in a parking lot of a business near Flamingo in Las Vegas Boulevard. We didn’t have a video of the truck pulling back on to Las Vegas Boulevard from the Sands. See that there? That’s north on the Boulevard from Sands at 839, where he then immediately heads to the Trump Hotel, pulls into the valet area, and as, of course, you all know, the explosion occurs within 17 seconds of his arrival at the valet. There’s some additional investigative updates that are going to be provided to you by a couple of the other speakers here.

      According to his uncle, Matthew Livelsberger was a staunch Trump supporter!

      The uncle also told The Independent that he was “a skilled warrior who would have been able to make a much more sophisticated bomb.”

      So why would he use propane tanks, camping fuel and fireworks, instead?

      This does not add up.

    Radical leftists are wasting absolutely no time trying to capitalize on yesterday’s terror attack in New Orleans, following the advice of Rahm Emanuel to “never let a crisis go to waste.”

    As The Gateway Pundit reported, a homegrown Islamist terrorist mowed down dozens of innocent revelers celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street in a white pickup truck. At least 15 people perished, with at least 35 more wounded.

    The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, later died during the gunfight with police.

    Soros-Backed Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams appeared on MSNBC this morning to give his take on the evil attack. Like a true Marxist, Williams decided to utilize this evil attack as an opportunity to demand changes to the everyday lives of Americans.

    He opened his screed by proclaiming that Americans were going to have have to make privacy sacrifices to the state, especially during large gatherings.

    “Things are going to have to change…I think you’re going to see a lot of things change in the city of New Orleans and actually, I think you are going to see a lot of things change in this country in terms of how we handle large-scale events where there is pedestrian access and where there are large-scale vehicles allowed,” Williams stated.

    “I think you’re going to see things change in terms of the level of surveillance that we have in this country,” he added.

    His rhetoric grew more troubling when he scoffed at Americans who value liberty and revealed his ideal solution to supposedly stop terror attacks: European-style spying on ordinary citizens walking the streets.

    European nations like the United Kingdom utilize this spying tool not to protect law-abiding constituents, but to control them. For example, European authorities have used surevillance for years to track drivers anywhere on the continent.

    “We push back against some of that. But when you look at places like the UK and other European places where CCTV is very commonplace. it can look for signs or indications of an attack,” Williams concluded.

    Pure fascism.

    Both the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, have a strong penchant for PR stunts that often get in the way of the very objectives they set for themselves.

    Desperate for some relevance in the war, since both his domestic and foreign agendas were a complete shitshow, Macron decided to bankroll the whole new 155th mechanized brigade, projected to become the ‘elite’.

    France allocated almost 1 billion euros for its NATO-grade training and top Western equipment.

    But as soon as the brigade found itself at the front, a mass exodus began with more than 1,700 people fleeing before firing a single shot, mostly from the infantry and tank battalions.

    Even during the training in France, more than 50 members of the brigade disappeared.

    The Telegraph reported:

    “By the time it entered battle for the first time, at least 1,700 of its troops went absent without leave at numerous points. Some 500 soldiers were still missing, it was reported as recently as November.”
    Soldiers of the 155th mechanized brigade ‘Ana of Kiev’ near Pokrovsk.

    The real exodus came back in Ukraine, as the brigade was being deployed to Pokrovsk, the key logistics hub in the defense of Donetsk region.

    As the brigade entered the battle, it suffered heavy losses, including some of its tanks and armored vehicles.

    “It prompted the Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigations to investigate the seemingly shambolic formation of the 155th. The brigade, also known as Anne of Kyiv, was meant to have more than 5,800 troops and be equipped with some of the best equipment available, including Leopard tanks and French Caesar 155mm howitzers.”

    Zelensky and Macron announced the $900 million project to great fanfare at an event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing, in June of last year.

    “Yuriy Butusov, a Ukrainian war correspondent, wrote: ‘This is indeed a crime, but the crime of not soldiers and officers – but the crime of the leaders of the supreme commander-in-chief, the Ministry of Defense and the general staff, who continue to waste their lives and public funds on new projects, instead of strengthening experienced and combat-capable brigades’.”
    Ukrainian forces are losing ground fast in Donetsk region.

    When the 155th was deployed to Pokrovsk, it did not even have any drones or electronic warfare jammers by the state.

    “Bohdan Krotevych, the chief of staff of Ukraine’s Azov Brigade, said: ‘Can it be idiocy to create new brigades and equip them with such equipment, having incomplete existing ones?’

    Mr. Butusov added: ‘The brigade’s servicemen became hostages of Zelensky’s PR project, which the authorities made no effort to actually implement competently’.”

    The brigade has now been disbanded, with its troops assigned to real battle-hardened brigades that are already defending Pokrovsk.

    Transdniestria is a breakaway region which officially is called the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic. It has its own government and military. It is on the eastern side of the Dnistria river. Its capital is Tiraspol. The European Parliament has declared that this area is under Russian occupation.

    There is a Russian military contingent in Transdniestria, but it is made up only of 1,500 soldiers. There is also a massive Russian ammunition dump located there, a subject of much interest to the ammunition-starved Ukrainians…

    Moldova on its own is not of any strategic importance. However, it is a staging area and jumping off point for a strategy aimed at Odesa and, perhaps, the Crimea. What seems to be brewing in Europe is some sort of Plan B – in essence, what to do if the Ukrainian army collapses. Increasingly European specialists and some officials are opining that the days of Ukraine as an independent entity may be reaching an end.

    Sky News host Danica De Giorgio reacts to the shocking terrorist attack which occurred in New Orleans in the US.

    “Are we witnessing a global intifada?” Ms De Giorgio said.

    “The same global intifada, the same uprising, which we have heard preached across the globe for the last 14 months by terrorist sympathisers who want the West to fall.

    “Overnight at least 15 people were killed when they were mowed down at high speed by a man who drove his truck into crowds in New Orleans.”

  13. We Really Need to Talk More About Gun Control’s Racist Past

    A handful of years ago, there was a strange obsession that took hold in this country. People were tripping over themselves to remove anything that anyone might possibly find a link to racism, slavery, or anything of the sort.

    Now, I’m not going to pretend racism or slavery were good things. They weren’t and aren’t. However, we watched as statues of our Founding Fathers were toppled all across the nation simply because they weren’t adherents of our current thoughts on the subject.

    Anything that could be linked to racism had to go.

    Well, almost everything.

    Gun control was still broadly supported by all of those same people, and as John Stossel notes in his latest piece, its roots are most definitely racist as hell.

    [Maj] Toure says, “All gun control is racist!”

    All?

    “It was literally started to stop Black people from having the means to defend themselves.”

    He’s right. In the 1600s, American colonies had rules against Blacks owning guns.

    “It’s a good thing we don’t like being told what human rights we have,” says Toure. “I’m an American. I go by the Constitution.”

    Few Americans know that anti-slavery hero Harriet Tubman carried a gun most of the time.

    “She needed to,” says Toure. “If it wasn’t for strong women like Harriet Tubman, liberty-minded people saying, nah, (slavery) is not cool, not OK, a contradiction of the Founding Fathers, what they wrote down (not what they all did, but what they wrote down). She wouldn’t have had the bravery to oppose that during a time when opposition meant death. More people should think about that right.”

    What about today? I ask, “Is gun control still racist?”

    “Absolutely!” he says. “Look at the outcome. Take California … (you have to get) a state-issued license to carry. If you live in Oakland, Compton, in Los Angeles County, the chances of you getting a license, even though the Second Amendment is clear, it’s very little. But if you live in Brentwood, Orange County, Beverly Hills, the issue rate for that license to carry goes up. Which one of those areas is more predominantly Black and brown people?”

    Similarly, “Who’s arrested more for firearms possession? Black and brown folks … the outcome being this group of people being disproportionately impacted by the racist practice of gun control.”

    It’s been funny watching people try to distort history to somehow make the argument that the Second Amendment is what’s really racist, all while completely ignoring the fact that the infringement of that right only targeted non-white people.

    Even today, as Toure points out, we routinely see the impact of gun control laws disproportionately hitting black and brown men and women. They’re the ones being arrested, they’re the ones being denied.

    If we’re going to purge all vestiges of racism and slavery from our nation, then clearly we should focus on gun control, especially as the claims of systemic racism everywhere is more apparent in gun law enforcement than pretty much anywhere else.

    Of course, if we’re not going to address that, then I’m not sure just what else we can talk about, because it’s pretty clear that Democrats aren’t serious about combatting what they routinely call systemic racism, even in a place where they could probably get broad support for eliminating the issue.

    But that’s because it’s not about racism. It’s about leverage. They’ve used racism as a way to pressure opponents to remain silent on various things out of fear of being labeled a racist. They don’t actually want to do away with that history, especially on infringement to our liberty they actually like.
